I gave Salt Bae a gift, now I want it BACK – the way he harassed World Cup stars was so disrespectful, says ‘Curry King’

A RESTAURATEUR who gave Salt Bae a gift has demanded it back after the way he harassed World Cup stars. ‘Curry King’ Suleman Raza recently dined at Salt Bae’s Nusr-Et Steakhouse in London and introduced himself to the celebrity chef.

In a video posted to TikTok, the British-Pakistani entrepreneur is seen telling Salt Bae he owns 35 restaurants and presenting him with two gifts.
One of the items was for Salt Bae, and another was for his staff.
Suleman, the founder of Spice Village Restaurants & Grand Sapphire Hotels, posted the gift exchange nine days ago – three days after Salt Bae was slammed for his “pathetic” pestering of Lionel Messi to get a selfie and touching the World Cup after Argentina’s win.
Five days ago, he posted a new clip, asking for the gift back.

Salt Bae, whose real name is Nusret Gökçe, somehow got himself in among the winning team and managed to get selfie with Lionel Messi as he celebrated his team’s triumph.
But in the run up, he was seen badgering the superstar and repeatedly grabbing his arm until the player relented and posed for a picture.
The chef was slammed on Twitter as “pathetic” for his attention seeking antics, which were also described as the “cringiest thing ever”.
Suleman agrees, saying Salt Bae’s antics on the football pitch were unacceptable.
    Most read in Football
In his latest video on the controversy Suleman says: “Salt Bae, you’re a chef and I’m a curry king. I want my gift back.
“Do you know why? Because you have been so rude and disrespectful to the players.
“The way you have harrassed the families while they were with their families on the pitch.
“The way you have tried to snatch the trophy from the players
“You have lost all your respect and fans from all around the world, including me.
“You know what, you are so desperate and that’s why you lost all your respect and that’s why I want my gift back.
“Let me know when and how.”
Suleman’s video has gone viral, being viewed more than 4.6 million times and garnering more than 8,500 comments.
But many of the social media users who shared their opinions didn’t agree with him asking for his gift back.
One person said: “Using Salt Bae as a bait to take his share of fame/controversy.”
Someone else said: “Trying to get his bit of fame from this.”
Another wrote: “The way your trying to use another man’s downfall as your moment to shine.”
FIFA was forced to make a humiliating admission about Salt Bae crashing the World Cup final.
It said the famous chef, who was pictured pestering Argentinian players after their win against France, should not have been on the pitch.
Now FIFA is conducting an internal investigation to see how the chef got onto the pitch as he has no commercial relationship with the organisation and was not invited onto the pitch by Gianni Infantino Sky Sports News reports.
Salt Bae sparked fury before the World Cup after bragging about a £140,584 bill at his high-end restaurant.
A single steak from the evening was over £1000, and the group spent almost £115,000 on wine alone.
The backlash came amidst the worst cost-of-living crisis seen in decades, as inflation soars and millions struggle to pay for food and rent.
Salt Bae shot to fame in 2017 when a video of him lovingly preparing a steak by theatrically sprinkling a handful of salt crystals, quickly went viral.
Nusret quickly became a celebrity in his own right, cooking for celebrities like David Beckham, Leonardo DiCaprio, and DJ Khaled.

He opened his first Nusr-Et steakhouse in Istanbul in 2010.
Suleman Raza has been approached for comment. More

‘Disrespectful’ Salt Bae slammed for ‘chatting on his AirPods’ while serving customer £500 steak at ‘rip-off’ restaurant

SALT Bae has been slammed he was accused of chatting on his AirPods while serving customers a steak that cost them £500.The celebrity chef has been under fire ever since he was accused of hijacking Argentina’s celebrations at the World Cup.
Salt Bae was slammed as ‘disrespectful’ in the viral TikTok
The diner was extremely unhappy with Salt Bae
Salt Bae – real name Nusret Gökçe, – is seen with his Air Pods in as he carves up a steak tableside with his trademark swagger.
But the angry customer took to TikTok to complain – rating the internet star’s restaurant a dismal 1.7 out of 10.
Ehtisham Aziz shared the video – saying he paid £500 to have the musclebound butcher carve up his steak at his restaurant Nusr-Et in Doha, Qatar.
But he was left unimpressed as Salt Bae appeared disinterested as he seemed to be chatting to someone via his AirPods.

The guest branded him “super disrespectful” and also complained about the quality of the food in the video which has been viewed more than 4million times.
“Food was extremely expensive and staff was very rude,” wrote Mr Aziz.
He said having to pay for Bae to plate the steak tableside was “-20/10” while having him talking on his Air Pods was “-100000/10”.
He did however write seeing the chef sprinkling Salt over the steak was “pretty cool” in real life, saying that was ten out of ten.

The butcher then fed his brother a slice of the meat before they posed with him for a picture.
Mr Aziz claims they asked Bae to sign their cousin’s mini football – only for the sunglass-sporting star to then toss it away from them.
Some fans responded to Mr Aziz’s review by defending Salt Bae.
“Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Salt bae is a smart guy that profits off of wealthy people willing to pay for literally anything lmao,” wrote one user on TikTok.
Others mocked the fact the TikTok actually agreed to pay for Salt Bae to come and chop up his steak.
Rising to fame thanks to a viral video of hims sprinkling salt looking suave, Salt Bae’s chain of Nusr-Et restaurants are known for high prices and decadent gold-wrapped meals.
But he has courted controversy over the years – with some reviewers slamming his steakhouses as “rip offs”.
He has opened over 22 restaurants across the US, UK, Greece and Dubai.
And they remain popular, especially with celebrities – with Bae serving everyone from David Beckham to the late Maradona.
Fifa launched a probe after Salt Bae someone managed to get onto the pitch during celebrations after the final of the World Cup.
Argentina scored an incredible victory – outlasting France on penalties after a stunning 3-3 scoreline.
It was a highly symbolic win that for some cemented Lionel Messi as the greatest football player of all time.
But as the side tried to enjoy their moment in the sun – there was Salt Bae.
Bae was pictured hassling Messi for pictures, appeared to snatch the World Cup trophy, and bit one of the player’s medals.
Fifa confirmed that the chef was not supposed to be allowed on the pitch and launched an investigation.
And since then Salt has been banned from the US Open and music festival Rolling Loud.
His followers have also slammed an “uncomfortable” resurfaced Instagram video with Kylian Mbappe.
And in another video, he can be seen gyrating back and forth while cutting steak for Bayern Munich and Barcelona star Lewandowski.

“He was very disappointed with the World Cup.”

Man Utd 3 Nott Forest 0: Erik ten Hag’s rampant Reds straight back into Premier League groove as top four charge resumes

And taking centre stage in the absence of the 37-year-old has been Marcus Rashford.
The England ace has returned from his encouraging tournament in Qatar with a goal in each game for his club.
Of course bigger tests lie ahead for Erik ten Hag’s men than Burnley and Nottingham Forest.
But the signs are promising from Rashford – who also created the second goal for his fellow forward Anthony Martial.
    read more on man utd
And his performance was an ideal pick-me-up for any United fans who turned up still smarting over losing out to Liverpool in the race for Dutch international Cody Gakpo.
His club boss has challenged him to become a 20-goal a season man and his pair over the past week mean he is halfway there.
ETH had to use a patched up defence for United’s first league game since the win at Fulham more than six weeks ago.
World Cup winner Lisandro Martinez was only flying back into the country on Tuesday night while Scott McTominay, Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire were all ill.

So Luke Shaw was drafted in as a makeshift centre back with Casemiro also dropping in to the back four when needed.
Rafael Varane – who played in the World Cup final nine days ago – had not been back long but answered an SOS call to take his place in the team.
Yet it was more about what was going on at the other end.
Last time United played against Forest was the famous 8-1 win at the City Ground back in 1999.
And the noisy travelling fans might have feared the worst as their team found themselves two goals down in the opening 22 minutes.
United had looked in the mood right from the off with full-back Tyrell Malacia finding himself free at the back stick and firing a low shot that was bundled onto the post by Wayne Hennessey.
The Wales international keeper was pressed into action as regular number one Dean Henderson was ineligible to play against his parent club and might have known he was in for a busy night.
Yet it was the Forest defence at fault as United did take the lead in the 19th minute as they were caught napping at a corner.
Rashford burst away from his marker and his run was spotted by Christian Eriksen. The Dane’s precision low cross was thumped home first time by the England forward.
After scoring three times at the World Cup, he has returned to Old Trafford looking in prime form.
The second goal was not far behind as Casemiro started a lightning break down the left and Rashford picked out fellow forward Martial.
Rashford celebrated his 10th goal this seasonCredit: Reuters
Rashford and Martial made the difference for UnitedCredit: Getty
His shot was through the legs of Willy Boly but should have been kept out by Hennessey who got both hands to it.
For a team who have not scored away from home in the Prem since August, it was a disastrous start.
They could have hit back as Ryan Yates hit a long range effort which was pushed round the post by De Gea.
The visitors thought they were back in it just before the break as Renan Lodi’s free-kick was nodded in by Yates.
A check was for a possible handball was over-ruled but replays showed he had nodded it onto the foot of team-mate Boly who was marginally offside.
So for an 11th time in 16 league games this season, Forest had failed to score in the first half.
Jesse Lingard’s return to Old Trafford was not going to plan and it got worse for him soon after the break as he limped off with what looked like a hamstring injury.
His old mate Rashford was clearly enjoying himself though and his delightful pass was flicked on by Bruno Fernandes but Antony’s shot was pushed away by Hennessey.
And the England ace came close to a second for himself as he got on the end of Donny van de Beek’s cross and forced another good save out of Hennessey.
The former Palace keeper turned a cheeky chip from Casemiro over the bar and was almost left red-faced as Bruno Fernandes tried to beat him from near the half way line but was inches too high.

Rashford was subbed a few minutes from time to be replaced by Anthony Elanga and was given a richly deserved ovation from the home crowd.
But there was still time for a third as Casemiro split the visitors defence open with a delicious pass and Fred slotted in from a narrow angle.
