Watch Argentina stars go wild in their PANTS in dressing room as Lionel Messi inspires narrow Australia World Cup win

ARGENTINA stars went wild in just their pants as they celebrated victory over Australia in the World Cup. After scoring in his 1000th professional game, Lionel Messi ran the show as he helped his side get over the line to spark the amazing dressing room scenes.

The South American side are now through to the quarter-finals as they look to claim the Jules Rimet trophy for the first time since 1986 in what will be Messi’s last World Cup.
After an unconvincing start to the group stages, Argentina now look in the groove.
And the players are certainly enjoying the journey as they went crazy in the changing room following the win.
Video footage from SportsCenter shows the players singing, chanting and dancing alongside their coaches after the match.

With several players wearing just their underwear, they bounced in unison as they chanted together.
One coach blew a whistle repeatedly while some players banged on tables and other launched clothes and water up into the air.
The happy Argentine stars then form a smaller huddle and get even louder.
And at one point, a player can even be seen giving a coach a piggybank ride amid the chaotic scenes.

The video appears to sum up the mood in their camp as Argentina go from strength to strength.
While Australia offered brilliance resistance in the first-half, Lionel Scaloni’s side found the breakthrough thanks to magic from one man.

Messi picked up the ball from inside the penalty area to slip the ball into the far corner on his milestone match.
A shocking clanger from Aussie keeper Mathew Ryan allowed Julian Alvarez to double the Argentina advantage before the hour mark.

But an unlikely Australia comeback began as sub Craig Goodwin’s effort took a wicked deflection to end up in the back of the net.
A mazy run through the opponents half almost saw Aziz Behich score one of the great World Cup goals to equalise.
Before Newcastle-bound Garang Kuol had his close range effort saved by Emi Martinez deep in stoppage time.

How England are set to line up against Senegal in World Cup last 16 with Foden DROPPED but Walker keeping place

PHIL FODEN is set to be dropped against Senegal – despite scoring in the win over Wales. The Manchester City playmaker forced his way into the starting XI last Tuesday as England lacked creativity against the USA.

But even though he grabbed the second goal which helped seal the victory and top spot in Group B, it is not enough to keep him in the team.
However, Marcus Rashford, Jordan Henderson and Kyle Walker all look on course to keep their places after also impressing.
Rashford scored two to go level in the race for the Golden Boot.

He is expected to begin the match on the left wing, the opposite flank from where he has been so effective at the World Cup so far.

That allows Bukayo Saka to return to the team and get the nod on the right – with Raheem Sterling left out again.
Declan Rice and Henderson will provide the solid double pivot in midfield with Jude Bellingham given a free role just in front.
The back five will remain unchanged, too.
That will see Jordan Pickford in goal with Walker, John Stones, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.

Gabriel Jesus ‘faces THREE MONTHS out’ in huge Arsenal title blow with Brazil World Cup ace to fly to UK today

ARSENAL ace Gabriel Jesus could reportedly face THREE MONTHS out with a knee injury. Jesus, 25, is already out for about four weeks and is set to fly back to the UK to be evaluated by Arsenal doctors after leaving Brazil’s World Cup camp.

According to sportv, if the forward ends up needing surgery then he will be sidelined for at least the next three months.
The striker appeared to confirm his injury, tweeting: “If there was a timeline and I could see you and tell you something, I would say ‘Gabriel, you are a winner’.
“Thank you to everyone who sent messages of support and affection.”
Brazil boss Tite also hit back at claims which suggested he knew Jesus had an injury BEFORE he played against Cameroon.
    READ MORE ON ARSENAL
He said: “I don’t like evil lies, and at no time whatsoever did we play for a victory at the risk of a peril to a player.
“The liars, the haters out there – go and do something else and stop giving fake news.
“Arsenal have a great medical department, Brazil has a great medical department and we are personally responsible and ethical.
“I am very sorry for Gabriel and yesterday we had Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Neymar and (assistant) Cesar Sampiao – who has lived with the experience of being removed from the team – talking with him.

“Not to take the pain away because obviously we can’t, but just to make them feel better, strengthen them, and take part as much as possible.”
The injury will come as a massive blow to Arsenal’s title hopes, with Jesus being an integral part of the Gunners’ unexpected title charge.
It may accelerate Arsenal’s transfer plans to sign a new striker in January.
Eddie Nketiah is currently the only other recognised senior striker at the club.
And while he has been a reliable deputy for Jesus when coming into the team, there are question marks over the long-term viability of playing him up front as the main striker.
Arsenal fans did not take earlier reports of his injury well either, with one even suggesting their season is “OVER”.
Memphis Depay has been earmarked as one solution by Piers Morgan.
The Manchester United flop is now starring at the World Cup for Holland under Louis van Gaal – scoring his nation’s first as they beat the USA 3-1 to seal a spot in the quarter finals.
After the game, Piers said: “Arsenal should sign Memphis in January. Such a good player and would work well up front with Jesus.”
Jesus being crocked would delay such a partnership, but prior to that it would give Mikel Arteta the firepower he needs to try and maintain the five-point lead they currently have.

While Arsenal now sit on 37 points after 14 games, their record of 31 points from 12 games puts them on course to break the club’s record for points.
Furthermore, it suggests history is on their side – with only ONE team failing to win the Premier League after earning as many points at that stage. More

I am the one and only, oh yeah

And yet, you try to make me forget
Who I really am, don’t tell me I know best
I’m not the same as all the rest
I am the one and only
    Nobody I’d rather be
I am the one and only
You can’t take that away from me
I’ve been a player in the crowd scene

My soul embraces one more in a million faces
High hopes and aspirations, and years above my station
Maybe but all this time I’ve tried to walk with dignity and pride
I am the one and only
    Nobody I’d rather be
I am the one and only
You can’t take that away from me
I can’t wear this uniform without some compromises
Because you’ll find out that we come
    In different shapes and sizes
No one can be myself like I can
For this job I’m the best man
And while this may be true
You are the one and only you

Harry Kane declares himself fit for England and targets goals against Senegal after dry spell in group stage

The hitman, who turned provider as England battled through their opening three matches, now hopes to open the floodgates against Senegal tonight.
He said: “I would love to be sitting here with two or three goals, for sure, but the group games have gone well.
“The games have not been too physical and going into the knock-out stages I feel really good — fit and sharp and as match-fit as I will ever feel.”
Manager Gareth Southgate also will not be surprised if Harry, 29, opens his account in the 7pm knockout game against the African Nations champs.

But Gareth insisted: “With Harry, you know the goals are coming. So the longer the period without them, then you know they’re coming pretty soon.’’
He added: “We’ve always wanted to bring the country on a journey with us and to create nights that people remember forever.
“I think we’ve had a few of those over the last few years and we hope that Sunday’s another one.’’

And he assured anxious fans that the squad have been preparing intensively in case of a dreaded penalty shootout.
England — who suffered spot-kick heartbreak at the Euro 2020 final at Wembley last year — have won just three out of ten in tournaments.
But Gareth said: “We are prepared and we’ve had a process we’ve followed.
“We’ve done that over the last few months but there’s so many other aspects to the game you’ve got to get right.
With Harry, you know the goals are comingGareth Southgate
“We’re aiming to win the game and avoid extra-time and avoid penalties.
“But if we need to go 120 minutes or to go beyond that, we need to be ready mentally and physically — and I believe we are.”
England have been further boosted by the form of Manchester United star Marcus Rashford who, with three goals, is in contention for the Golden Boot top scorer award.
Marcus, 25, was devastated when he was among those who missed a penalty at the Euro final and was targeted by racist trolls.
But Gareth said the striker was once again playing “with a smile on his face” — and remains one of England’s best spot-kick hopes.
He said: “Marcus is one of the best penalty takers in the world.
“Statistically he is an 85 per cent person, but even the best miss 15 per cent.
“So in the end you have got to trust your players that they are going to deliver in those big moments.’’

Senegal, nicknamed the Lions of Teranga, go into the game as underdogs but Gareth warned his players not to underestimate them.
It will be the first time England have played Senegal, and Gareth said they will be facing a “well organised and athletic” side who play with “tremendous spirit”.
As he spoke, The Sun’s lion mascot Harry Mane was firing up fans among the 8,000 travelling lionhearts who will pack a corner of the 69,000-seat Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor tonight.

“When England do well, so do our pubs and breweries.”
