Wayne Rooney’s DC United are amongst the clubs tipped to fight it out for the Poland midfielder, 32, who joined from Twente in 2017.
And as fans piled in to give tributes, one said: “God this is heartbreaking. I really don’t want him to go.”
Another posted: “I will miss him forever.”
And one supporter argued: “Madness letting Klich go still a very good squad player showed how valuable he is to the team when he came on.”

This view summed up the impact of a player who helped get Leeds back to the top flight and, so far, stay there.

Some fans felt his 27-minute cameo suggested he should regain his starting spot – as Leeds recovered from 2-1 down to draw.
One said: “Him and Harrison changed the game when we came on. Much more effective than Aaronson.

And one claimed: “he was our best player tonight.”
It was understood last month that Klich had reached a verbal agreement to join DC – but his future is still uncertain.
He was a figurehead performer when Marcelo Bielsa guided Leeds up to the top flight in 2020.

    Good night!
    Odegaard the Magista
Wow, what a performance that was from Martin Odegaard.
When Real Madrid signed him as a 16-year-old, many raised their eyebrows, but they could obviously see the potential that this man has in his wand of a left foot from a young age.
Two assists, both of a high class, which topped off a performance of the ages from the Norweigan.
It is time to give him his flowers, as he has been the best midfielder in the Premier League so far this season, alongside Kevin De Bruyne.
And for those of you reading who enjoy the somewhat finer moments on a football pitch, the romantics if you will, please go and watch the highlights of this game.
Hopefully they include his magical nutmeg on Lucas Paqueta, a quaint back-heel through the Brazilian’s legs, as he served up some Samba Sauce with an ice cold Norweigan chill.
He is a really wonderful footballer, and for that reason, gets the SunSport man of the match award.

    ‘We’re top of the league’
Was the chant ringing around The Emirates at full-time, and they have plenty of reason to celebrate after they overcame conceding an early goal to win 3-1 at home on Boxing Day.
Arsenal looked a little rusty to begin with, as William Saliba scythed down Jarrod Bowen inside the box to give the visitors an early penalty.
That penalty was dispatched by Said Benrahma, and celebrated in typically cool fashion.
But the celebrations didn’t last too long, as early in the second half Bukayo Saka continued his brilliant season dispatching a mishit shot from Odegaard into the bottom left corner.
Martinelli then gave the hosts the lead, with left footed, low driven shot past Fabianski.
It was Nketiah who scored the pick of the bunch, spinning Thilo Kehrer, and finishing off an excellent team goal that was typical Arsenal.
A great result and a great night for The Gunners, who will have made Arsene Wenger proud with that showing.

Aside from that, the Norweigan has been unbelievable today, and is definitely the man of the match for me today.

A change for West Ham, as Pablo Fornals replaces Thomas Soucek.
    76. Arsenal 3-1 West Ham

Arsenal try to come forward again, and are being roared on by the home supporters now.
Tierney’s low cross is cut out by the West Ham defence.
    60. Arsenal 2-1 West Ham
It is a great left-footed finish by the brilliant Brazilian, who slots it past Fabianski at the near post.
It was set up for him nicely by Granit Xhaka.
    58. Arsenal 2-1 West Ham
It’s two! They are back, Gabriel Martinelli!
    55. Arsenal 1-1 West Ham

Goal for Arsenal, Bukayo Saka! Assisted by Martin Odegaard!
    52. Arsenal 0-1 West Ham
Kieran Tierney gives away a foul on Jarrod Bowen, before losing an aerial duel to him and going down holding his face.
Weak from the Scottish full-back, and Arteta is screaming for a yellow that is never going to happen.
    48. Arsenal 0-1 West Ham
Chance for Arsenal, but for a great save by Fabianski.
Partey has a go from the edge of the box, but Fabianski gets down to his left hand side and makes a great stop to deny him.

Fans baffled as Arsenal star Bukayo Saka’s goal against West Ham is ruled out – but here’s why

ARSENAL fans were left baffled after Bukayo Saka’s goal against West Ham was disallowed for offside.Saka thought he had given his side an early lead, only to see the linesman’s flag raised.
Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah were onside when the pass was initially played
But Nketiah ventured offside at the moment Saka touched the ball
But fans were confused by the call as Saka and Eddie Nketiah were in an onside position as Martin Odegaard played the pass.
One supporter wrote: “How is that offside? 😂”
Another baffled fan added: “Please explain how that was offside, please. It was clearly onside.”
A third said: “How is that offside? They showed an image in which he was miles inside. Everyone went awfully quiet even the commentator. So unusual, makes me question the game.”

However, replays showed the correct call was made, and VAR was happy with the decision.
That’s because Odegaard’s pass flicked off Saka’s heel before the ball fell to Nketiah.
And when the touch happened the Arsenal striker was in fact in an offside position.
That was a big disappointment to former boss Arsene Wenger, who was watching from the stands.

Premier League is BACK: Eight days after World Cup final and 43 days after last game, the real competition returns

PREMIER LEAGUE football is back after a six-week hiatus – and the fixtures will be coming thick and fast over the course of the next week. The English top flight – like its counterparts around the globe – paused in mid-November to allow the first-ever winter World Cup to take place.

Prem action resumes action with a Boxing Day bonanza.
And there is plenty at stake for teams at both ends of the table.
League leaders Arsenal will welcome West Ham to the Emirates and will look to maintain their five-point advantage over defending champions Manchester City.
City could find themselves EIGHT points behind the Gunners by the time they play Leeds at Elland Road on Wednesday evening.

The race for Champions League football will also take centre stage on Boxing Day, with Tottenham, Newcastle, Liverpool and Chelsea – third, fourth, sixth and eighth-placed – all in action.
The quartet will face Brentford, Leicester City, Aston Villa and Bournemouth respectively.
Fifth-placed Manchester United will bid to narrow the gap between themselves and Spurs with a win over Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.
Forest are currently 18th in the league with 13 points to their name after 15 matches but they are by no means cast adrift.

A defeat to United, however, and a victory for Everton over Wolves could quickly end the festive cheer at the City Ground.
The Toffees’ clash with Wolves is one of the standout Boxing Day fixtures in the battle to beat the drop.
In fact, it’s somewhat of a good-old fashioned relegation six-pointer.
Frank Lampard’s troops are currently a solitary point above the drop zone with 14 points.
Wolves, meanwhile, are rock bottom of the table with a mere ten points to their name.

Defeat to Everton could prove to be a huge psychological blow to the Black County club.
Even more so if fellow strugglers Southampton get a result.
The Saints are two points ahead of Wolves and could breathe new life into their survival hopes with a win over Brighton.
