Walker has become the East London club’s third summer signing
And her departure comes days after Birmingham – who finished one place above the WSL’s drop zone – revealed the exit of three first-team players.
Sarah Mayling, 24, Mollie Green, 23, and England goalkeeper starlet Hannah Hampton, 20, have all left the club who ended last term in eleventh place in the league.
Walker, 25, netted five goals 21 top-flight appearances for Carla Ward’s former side helping them to avoid relegation to the Women’s Championship last term.

On her switch to the Hammers managed by Ollie Harder, the WSL forward said: “The way that the team plays really suits my style.
“I like to be aggressive, and look to be in the faces of the opposition at every opportunity so I think I complement the manager’s way of playing.
“I’m delighted to join; it’s a massive opportunity! The ambition the club has is something that I feel I can not only add value to, but something that I really wanted to be a part of.”
Irons manager Harder, 34, said: “Claudia is somebody who I have admired since coming to England.
“The things that she does off the ball are exceptional and she works extremely hard for her team.
“The culture of this club is all about playing for the team and we want people who embody that, and we believe Claudia will do that.
“She’s somebody who knows where the back of the net is and we believe that there is a lot more potential in her in regards to increasing those goalscoring numbers.
“She’s quick, powerful and has a fantastic attitude, we’re delighted to bring her to the club.”
Walker began her career as a youth player at Stoke City in 2013 when she was 17 before sealing a 2014 switch to Liverpool where she made six appearances.

And the forward joined the Reds’ Merseyside rivals Everton in 2014 helping them to win promotion to the women’s top tier ahead of the 2017-18 season.
A hamstring injury in December 2017 forced Walker out of action for the rest of that term.
The striker later joined Birmingham City on loan in January 2019 before making a permanent two-year move in June that year.
And Walker helped the team reach the Women’s FA Cup semi-finals in September 2020 where they were beaten by her former club Everton.

Declan Rice REJECTS two West Ham contract offers as he holds out on Man Utd or Chelsea transfer

DECLAN RICE has rejected two contract offers from West Ham.And that has sparked summer transfer interest from admirers Chelsea and Manchester United.

Rice, 22, is tied down at the London Stadium until 2024 with the option of an extra year.
But the Hammers understandably want to tie down the £100million-rated midfielder to a longer, improved deal.
And according to The Telegraph, they will table more offers for Rice to try and convince him to commit his future to the club he joined aged 14.
However, the England international wants to hear what options he has away from East London this summer.
Further reports add the money on offer would still see Rice paid less than Andriy Yarmolenko and what Javier Hernandez was on while he could earn significantly more elsewhere.
Although Champions League football and silverware are more driving factors than money, West Ham must pay Rice as much as his talent and influence deserves or risk losing him.
Chelsea, who released Rice immediately before he joined the West Ham academy in 2014, are keen to make a swoop.
Frank Lampard wanted to bring him in a year ago but the club spent big money on the likes of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz instead.
The information about Rice is true. This is because the contract offers have been below what Yarmolenko is currently on, what Hernandez was on and other well paid players. For the player to stay at the club and turn down big moves the pay needs to reflect his ability— ExWHUemployee (@ExWHUemployee) July 1, 2021

Thomas Tuchel also likes the midfielder and a deal would see the former Blues youngster reunited with best-mate Mason Mount at Stamford Bridge.
United, meanwhile, would rival Chelsea for his signature as they try and bolster their midfield department.
Rice gets on well with skipper Harry Maguire and Jesse Lingard, who shone on loan at West Ham last season, could be used as a makeweight in any potential deal.
United have been linked with a £60m transfer in the past but West Ham would likely demand more than that.
Rice, though, wants to be told of any formal offers and hopes the club who paid nothing for him would be willing to let him go.
The Hammers vice-captain is currently on international duty at Euro 2020.
He has formed a strong partnership with Leeds star Kalvin Phillips with a series of impressive displays, especially on Tuesday as England beat Germany to book their spot in the quarter-finals.

West Ham ready to sell £36m flop Felipe Anderson back to Lazio with ‘negotiations already underway’

LAZIO are reportedly in talks to bring Felipe Anderson back for a fraction of the £36million fee West Ham paid for the winger. The Brazilian was tipped to light up the Premier League after starring in Italy, yet has hit just 12 goals in three years.
Felipe Anderson is reportedly wanted for a move back to LazioCredit: AFP
West Ham allowed Anderson, 28, to spend the 2020-21 season on loan at Porto – but he again failed to find form.
A summer exit is on the cards with Sky Sport Italia detailing Lazio’s bid.
The Serie A outfit are hoping to do a deal for £8.5m and talks are said to already be underway between the player’s camp and Aquile sporting director Igli Tare.
Maurizio Sarri takes charge of the club for the new season and has reportedly given his blessing to the deal.
But player sales may have to be completed first, even though Anderson’s fee will be reduced by his contract expiring in just a year’s time.
The 28-year-old led Lazio to a Supercoppa Italiana crown after an appearance in the 2017 Coppa Italia final during his five years in Rome.
Borussia Dortmund forward Julian Brandt and Bologna’s Riccardo Orsolini are also named as on the club’s shortlist.
West Ham could use the funds to help their bid for Jesse Lingard, following his impressive loan spell from Manchester United.

West Ham and Fulham lead race for £25m Adam Armstrong transfer but face competition from three Premier League rivals

WEST HAM and Fulham are leading the pack in pursuit of £25million-rated Adam Armstrong.Brighton and Everton are also interested in the pocket dynamite front man who has hit 29 goals in all competitions this season.

Blackburn Rovers are still trying to persuade the 24-year-old to sign a new deal.
But months of talks have not persuaded the former Newcastle centre-forward to put pen to paper.
His current contract has one year left and the Ewood Park club are now close to cashing in on the Geordie bought from the Toon for just £1.75m four years ago.
He finished this campaign on 28 league goals to make himself the Championship’s second-top scorer behind Ivan Toney.
Boss Tony Mowbray has admitted that Prem clubs wouldn’t be ‘doing their job’ if they were not tracking Armstrong.
Speaking earlier this month, Mowbray said: “They (Premier League clubs) are not doing their job if they’re not looking at Adam Armstrong.
“That’s out of my control. For Adam’s sake, let’s hope the phone rings and someone offers us a ridiculous amount of money, we shake him by the hand and we say go and bang in loads of goals in the Premier League.

“And we’ll use some of that money in the team and can find another striker who can bang loads of goals in.
“That’s football, that’s happened since the game started.”
Newcastle, who have a 40 per cent sell-on agreement, are also considering an offer.
But Hammers boss David Moyes and Fulham counterpart Scott Parker are ready to start the bidding.

Man City join Chelsea in Declan Rice transfer race and will ‘consider bid if Fernandinho refuses new contract’

DECLAN RICE is reportedly on Manchester City’s radar if Pep Guardiola needs a new defensive midfielder in the summer.Champions League final opponents Chelsea have also been credited with interest in the West Ham star, along with Manchester United.

City are waiting on a decision from club captain Fernandinho over his future before entering the market for a replacement.
The Brazilian has confirmed his intention to only consider the offer of a 12-month contract extension at the end of the season, with his current deal expiring in June.
Should he depart, Pep Guardiola will make the position a priority with Rice a top target, according to The Times.
A number of different players have been discussed with the club reportedly aware that any arrival will have to compete with Rodri for game time.
And the deal would cost north of £100million, a fee which West Ham boss David Moyes recently said Rice, 22, was worth ‘far, far more’ than.
The Hammers are sweating on the England man’s fitness situation and have conceded nine goals in the five games he has missed due to a knee injury.

They face Everton on Sunday in a crucial clash for European qualification.
City take on Chelsea a day earlier in a dress rehearsal for their Istanbul showdown on May 29.
Fernandinho could start for the soon-to-be Premier League champions after captaining the side to victory over Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday – his 36th birthday.
Guardiola praised the anchor man for his performance in front of John Stones and Ruben Dias in the 2-0 win.

The coach said: “Especially the second-half, he was incredible. We adjusted a little bit to give support to John and Ruben.
“We were brilliant. He was so good. He was really, really good. It was his birthday. It’s a big present.

West Ham’s Tammy Abraham transfer pursuit will be off if Chelsea demand £45m, admits David Moyes

DAVID MOYES admits West Ham’s interest in Tammy Abraham will be blown out of the water if Chelsea demand £45million for the striker.Abraham’s future at Stamford Bridge is in doubt after being overlooked by Thomas Tuchel.

But the Blues are understood to want the hefty fee for the 23-year-old England star, a valuation that is way out of Moyes’ price range — even if he delivers Champions League football.
The West Ham boss said: “It would rule us out. So if that’s the figure and that’s what’s being said, we are out.
“We don’t have that to buy a striker. No.”
Abraham was a regular under Frank Lampard until the Chelsea legend was replaced by German Tuchel in January.
Since then, the England international has made only six appearances, but did miss seven games with an ankle injury.
With the likes of Timo Werner, 25 and Kai Havertz, 21, preferred centrally, Abraham is at risk of leaving Stamford Bridge.
West Ham would be joined by Newcastle and Aston Villa for the forward, who is also fighting for a space in England’s Euros squad this summer.
Moyes has already had talks with West Ham co-owner David Sullivan over a summer transfer budget — with Abraham’s asking price roughly the total amount he will have to spend.

Making Jesse Lingard’s loan from Manchester United permanent is a priority, along with a desperately needed striker.
Moyes added: “From conversations with the owner, I’ve an idea of what sort of cash will be available.
“Whether it was finishing tenth, fourth or whatever, it didn’t change at all. There is probably a lack of money in the game.”

Man Utd told to stump up £10m for Sam Johnstone transfer as Tottenham and West Ham also eye West Brom keeper

MANCHESTER UNITED transfer target Sam Johnstone has been priced at £10million by his current club West Brom, according to reports. The 28-year-old came through the academy at Old Trafford and had seven years there as a senior member of the team but never played a game as much of his time was spent out on loan.

He eventually departed Man Utd on a permanent basis in 2018 as he joined West Brom in the Championship for £5m.
Having now played 118 times for the Baggies, helping them return to the Premier League and earning himself an England call-up, Man Utd reportedly want to re-sign him in the summer.
But according to the Evening Standard, they will have to fork out twice the amount they sold him for if they are to secure his signature.
And if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are not willing to stump up the money, Tottenham and West Ham are also said to be monitoring the England shot-stopper.
Both Spurs and the Hammers have ageing first choice keepers in Hugo Lloris, 34, and Lukasz Fabianski, 36.
When asked recently about Johnstone’s future at West Brom, manager Sam Allardyce insisted the club are hoping they will be able to keep hold of him despite the fact that he is entering the final year of his contract.
“We can only discuss that when we have secured our position as a Premier League club,” he said.
“That would mean discussion from the hierarchy at the club and look at what they can do with Sam’s contract and try to persuade him to stay.

“As usual, business is business. Whatever happens can only be decided then, but I think the club would do their very best to keep him.”

Allardyce’s side are nine points adrift of safety ahead of their trip to Leicester on Thursday night.

The Manchester Evening News reports Rice, 22, asked his England pals some questions about aspects of life at Old Trafford during the international break last month as he contemplates his future.
A number of United players are thought to be very popular within the England group and club chiefs may hope that senior stars could help swing a deal.
United are said to have been monitoring his progress for over two years as they look to land a young defensive midfielder.
The report states the club believe Rice – who can also slot in at centre-back – could develop into more of a box-to-box style player at United.
SunSport exclusively revealed United will not entertain any kind of swap deal involving West Ham loanee Jesse Lingard.
Lingard has been on fire since arriving at the London Stadium to get more game time, bagging eight goals in nine games for David Moyes’ side.
And the Hammers are desperate to make the 28-year-old’s stay permanent leading United chiefs to ponder whether they could use Lingard as makeweight in an £80million package for Rice.
But West Ham are not interested in their vice-captain being involved in any deal with Moyes suggesting his vice-captain was worth well over £100m.

Chelsea have also been linked with Rice after they discarded him as an academy ace.
The Blues looked at signing him last summer when Frank Lampard was in charge with the 42-year-old confirming he wanted to bring Rice in before he got the sack.
Rice is out of action after suffering a knee injury on England duty but avoided surgery and will be assessed next week as the Hammers bid to land a Champions League spot.
