West Ham preparing £16m transfer offer for Bournemouth striker Josh King after failing in £13m bid

WEST HAM have stepped up their interest in Bournemouth striker Josh King.
The Hammers have had an offer of around £13million for the frontman rejected by the Cherries.

Now the Irons are putting together an improved deal worth £16m in a bid to land the Norwegian before the end of this transfer window.
West Ham are on the lookout for another forward after selling Sebastien Haller to Ajax for £20m earlier this month.
The Premier League club have turned their attention to King after failing to seal a deal for Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri.
The former Manchester United starlet’s contract at the Cherries runs out this summer – but the Championship club are still looking to cash in on him after rejecting a £20m offer from United last year.

Despite there being less than six months left on his contract, Bournemouth want more than the £13m West Ham have offered.
If they do not get the fee they want, they could be prepared to gamble by keeping hold of the star until the summer in the hope they get promoted back to the Prem and he will sign a new deal to stay with them.

But King, 29, is believed to want a move back to the top flight now and does not want to be made to see his Vitality contract out.

Burnley are also interested in signing the Norwegian and either club in claret and blue would appeal to the star, who played in Lancashire at Blackburn before joining Bournemouth in 2015.
He has scored 52 goals in 182 appearances for the Cherries.

Man Utd and Chelsea have not made transfer bids for West Ham star Declan Rice as David Moyes issues hands-off warning

DAVID MOYES has issued a hands-off warning as Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly eye-up a move for Declan Rice.
Neither side has yet made a bid but are said to be interested in the England international.

The 22-year-old, who can play in midfield or defence, has continued to impress this season having scored his first England goal against Iceland in November.
He has attracted interest from Chelsea and United – but Moyes revealed neither have firmed that up with a formal offer.
Chelsea released the player in 2014 and will have to pay a significant amount of money if they wish to re-sign him.
United are reportedly preparing to rival the Blues in a £70million transfer battle.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is thought to want a defensive midfielder and a centre-back in the summer.
But Rice remains a key part of Moyes’ team having played in all 38 Premier League games last season.
The London club have enjoyed an excellent start to the season, winning eight Premier League games – the same amount as Chelsea.
Moyes said: “They’re not true [rumours of a bid], we’ve had no contact from either of those clubs regarding Declan and we wouldn’t want any anyway.

“He’s doing great for us, he’s a big leader now, he’s taken a lot of the weight off Mark Noble. He’s turning out to be a really good player but also a really good boy and good around the club.”

Rather than sell, West Ham are looking to invest in their squad.
The Hammers have reportedly made contact with Reims over striker Boulaye Dia, who has scored 12 times this season in France’s Ligue 1.
They are also said to be interested in Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson, with Manuel Lanzini potentially going the other way in a swap deal.

West Ham ‘make contact with Reims over striker Boulaye Dia’ but must pay £15m transfer fee to land Haller replacement

WEST HAM are reportedly interested in signing Remis striker Boulaye Dia – but must pay £15million if they are to land him.
The Premier League side are looking to replace flop Sebastien Haller, who was offloaded to Ajax earlier this month.

According to Eurosport, the Hammers have made an enquiry and are expected to follow it up with an offer.
Dia is believed to be more suited to manager David Moyes’ style of play than Haller, who failed to live up his potential.
Haller was signed for a club-record fee of £45m in 2019 but managed just ten goals in 48 Premier League games.
The 26-year-old was sold to Ajax for just £20m, with West Ham willing to accept a huge loss on the flop.

To add insult to injury, Haller scored seven minutes into his full Ajax debut on Thursday in a 3-1 win against Twente.
Dia is the joint-top scorer in France’s Ligue 1 this season with 12 goals from 17 games.
The 24-year-old made his debut for Senegal in October.
The Hammers are also reportedly interested in Olivier Giroud and are favourites to sign the Chelsea forward, if he leaves.

West Ham told to up £6.3m Arkadiusz Milik offer by Napoli as David Moyes searches for Haller striker replacement

WEST HAM have reportedly been told to increase their offer to Napoli for striker Arkadiusz Milik.
It has been claimed that the Hammers have offered the Serie A side £6.3million as David Moyes targets a replacement for Sebastien Haller.

Napoli are keen to offload the 26-year-old this month with his contract set to expire in the summer.
The Poland international is yet to feature for the Italian outfit this term having been omitted from Gennaro Gattuso’s Serie A and Europa League squads.
But Napoli are holding firm in their valuation of the ex-Ajax ace as they seek a fee in the region of £8million.
Italian journalist Ciro Venerato has stated Milik could end up at the London Stadium, but only if they improve their bid.

Quoted by Spazio Napoli, he said: “Milik can go to Marseille, the French side are a club where the Pole can land.
“Napoli continue to ask for more than €9m (£8m) and there’s also a problem with the percentage of resale.
“There’s also a chance he’ll go to West Ham, a chance offered by the agent.”
Milik’s agent Fabrizio De Vecchi recently declared that the forward has proposals from clubs in England, Spain and France.

He stated: “The best clubs in the Premier League, Atletico and Marseille are interested in Arek.
“Of course, no team offers what Napoli asks for.”
Commenting in his failed exit away last summer, he added: “Roma and Juve were also close to signing him.
“But for different reasons, and in some cases still difficult to understand, the negotiation did not work out.
“But this often happens in football. If they come back to him? I don’t rule it out, but I can’t be the one to say it.”

Arsenal to snub West Ham transfer bid for Eddie Nketiah as Hammers look to young star as Sebastian Haller replacement

ARSENAL will snub interest from West Ham in striker Eddie Nketiah, according to reports.
The Hammers were said to be eyeing the 21-year-old as a replacement for Sebastien Haller, who joined Ajax in a shock £25million deal on Friday.

However, David Moyes will have to look elsewhere for a new frontman, with the Gunners expected to keep hold of Nketiah this month.
Sky Italia transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports Arsenal have no intention of selling the England under-21 international.
Nketiah has entered the final 18 months of his contract at the Emirates, and has struggled for game time in recent weeks following the resurgent form of Alexandre Lacazette.

The former Leeds loanee hasn’t featured at all for the Gunners in the Premier League since their 2-1 defeat at Everton in December.
He was also an unused substitute in Saturday’s 2-0 extra-time win over Newcastle in the FA Cup third round.
Nketiah’s future at Arsenal could also influence Folarin Balogun’s decision-making.
The 19-year-old is expected to leave the Gunners on a free transfer this summer, with several clubs in Europe said to be interested.

With a move for Nketiah seemingly dead in the water, West Ham look set to turn their attention to the Championship in their search for a replacement for Haller.
CASINO DEALS: BEST SIGN UP OFFERS TO CLAIM OVER £700

The Hammers have been linked with Bournemouth’s Josh King as well as Watford forward Ismaila Sarr.
King, 28, was the subject of a £13m bid from West Ham in the summer transfer window, but will face competition from Everton and West Brom in the race to sign the Norwegian, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
While reports this week suggested the Irons were weighing up a £30m offer for 22-year-old Sarr, who can play out wide or through the middle.

West Ham preparing huge £30m transfer raid on Watford for Ismaila Sarr as David Moyes looks to ease striker crisis

WEST HAM are ready to make a £30million bid for Watford’s Senegalese speed merchant Ismaila Sarr.
Boss David Moyes needs a new forward after the sale of Sebastian Haller has left Michail Antonio as their only out and out striker.

Sarr – who can play out wide or down the middle – stayed with the Hornets after relegation and Crystal Palace had an offer for him of £25m plus extras rejected on deadline day.
But SunSport understands West Ham are prepared to top those numbers and test Watford.
The 22-year-old hoped for Liverpool and Manchester United but they have not joined the auction at any stage, so it will come down to West Ham or a second move by Palace this window.
And Moyes admitted the Irons may have to play without a striker at all if they cannot land a new front man.

Asked how vital signing some soon was, the Hammers boss said: “Unless you do what Man City does, play without a number nine and you actually play even better than you’ve ever played before.
“You get in a situation, you play with a false nine and you can do that.

“You have to start being creative and certainly Pep [Guardiola] has been that with what he’s done at Man City, and who knows if we don’t have anybody, we will need to start being creative ourselves here.”

The Hammers are also considering Polish striker Krzysztof Piatek with Hertha Berlin willing to loan him with a view to a buy after a mixed time in the Bundesliga.
But with the side currently 10th in the Premier League, Moyes smarts at the idea of taking the cup seriously by fielding a strong side against Stockport on Monday.
He added: “You take it as an insult when someone says are you going to go for the Cup this year. Every year I’ve gone for the Cup, never once have I not gone for it.

Nothing will give me more pleasure than winning the cup.
    David Moyes

“Nothing will give me more pleasure than winning the cup.
“Sometimes you go up against better teams, and yes, you do need to use your squad players and yes sometimes we need to use other players but all our first team players will be there.
“We might need to fill one or two spaces with some young players, but apart from that we will be going with all our players.”

Chelsea joined by Man Utd in Declan Rice transfer race with West Ham midfielder being eyed after impressive season

CHELSEA are reportedly facing competition from Manchester United in the race to sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
Rice, 21, was heavily linked with a return to the Blues in the last window -after being released by the club as a teenager – but despite splurging £220million on players the West London side didn’t manage to bring him in.

The Manchester Evening News reports United are in the market for a defensive midfielder and centre-back – both positions Rice can fill.
The report states the Red Devils are more likely to do business in the summer as they finalise a list of targets in the New Year.
Although if a specific target became available in January then they would make a move but club chiefs are not expecting any incomings at this stage.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are instead focusing on completing their squad overhaul across the next two windows.

And the Norwegian boss is said to rate England star Rice highly.
Rice has assumed the captaincy at West Ham with Mark Noble out of the starting side and has flourished in the role.
The Three Lions regular is contracted to the Hammers until 2024 and it is likely a substantial transfer fee will be needed to prise him away from the club.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is believed to be a big fan of Rice and the Blues are still favourites to land their man.

Rice has bagged one assist in 13 Premier League appearances this season, playing every minute in the Hammers’ campaign and helping David Moyes’ side to eighth place.
He made his 100th top flight start in the 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
The bookies have slashed United’s odds with Rice a potential replacement for Paul Pogba.
The Frenchman’s agent Mino Raiola has been extremely vocal about his need to leave United saying he was not happy and his time was ‘over’ at Old Trafford.
But Pogba released a passionate statement insisting he was ‘1,000 per cent’ committed to the cause.
Raiola then clarified a move in the summer was more likely as ‘top deals’ are hard to do in the winter window.

Chelsea outcast Olivier Giroud ‘wanted by rivals Tottenham and West Ham in January transfer’ with striker eyeing move

TOTTENHAM and West Ham are among the teams reportedly tracking Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.
The French forward scored the late winner in Tuesday’s beating of Rennes as he continues to be used off the bench.

Frank Lampard heaped praise on Giroud, 34, after the victory but speculation continues to mount over his future.
According to CalcioMercato, Spurs and West Ham are joined by Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan and Inter Miami in tracking the striker.
Giroud was tipped to leave Chelsea in the summer but hit form late on last season, earning a new 12-month contract.

Once again, he is reportedly keen on making a January move to ensure his spot in France’s Euro 2020 squad.
Lampard has spoken of his hopes of keeping the player, accepting before the midweek win that he will ‘cross the January bridge when he comes to it’.
After the match, he said: “The things behind the scenes, everybody kind of feels from the outside to be fair what a great professional he is and how highly regarded he is by his team-mates and myself.
“So for him to get a goal, you saw the reaction of his team-mates, he’s so professional in how he trains and looks after himself that age isn’t even a factor for him.

“He’s getting better with age if anything in terms of how he looks after himself.
“So he offers a lot for us and I keep saying it but the big schedule coming up and the way we play means I will rely on players.

“So thankfully for me he’s a player that always keeps the right attitude if he’s not playing regularly, and I know when I call upon him that he comes in as he did today.”
Tottenham signed Gareth Bale and Carlos Vinicius on loan in the summer to provide competition for Harry Kane.
Meanwhile, West Ham welcomed Sebastian Haller back to the scoring charts with a stunning winner at Sheffield United last time out.
And Inter have been linked with Chelsea star N’Golo Kante with former boss Antonio Conte keen to continue his raid on Premier League stars.
