Jones shone again last Tuesday at wing-back as Boro dumped Tottenham out of the FA Cup.
And 90 Min claims that his display led to Tottenham ‘asking to be kept informed’ over his future.
But United are allegedly ready to battle Spurs for any potential swoop should Chris Wilder’s side decide to cash-in.
And the Red Devils are not the only club monitoring the progress of Jones.
West Ham and Crystal Palace are both reportedly watching him closely along with fellow Premier League clubs Brighton and Brentford.
And European powerhouses Atletico Madrid, Ajax and RB Leipzig are keeping an eye on things as well.

However, promotion-chasing Boro are under no pressure to sell the new fan favourite.
Jones, who has eight assists in the Championship this season, recently signed a new long-term deal to stay at the Riverside until 2025.
Djed Spence, who is now wanted by Spurs and Arsenal, was allowed to head to Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan after Jones’ brilliant start to the campaign.
And Boro are expected to cash in on him instead once the summer window opens rather than lose their star man.

West Ham and Everton ‘leading Eden Hazard transfer chase with Real Madrid ready to make £130m loss on ex-Chelsea star’

EDEN HAZARD is reportedly looking for a move back to the Premier League with West Ham and Everton leading the race to secure his signature. The 30-year-old has been plagued with injury and fitness issues since arriving at Real Madrid from Chelsea in the summer of 2019.
Hazard has failed to make any sort of impact in MadridCredit: Getty
He has played 54 times across two and a half seasons, scoring just five goals for the Spanish giants.
As a result, Madrid, who signed him for an initial £88million rising to a potential £150m, are happy for him to leave for as little as £25.5m or £21m if a club can convince him to join on loan in January with a permanent option at the end of the campaign.
According to the Sunday Mirror, this is because Hazard earns a huge £416,000 per week.
This works out to an annual salary of £21.6m, a sum Madrid are desperate to get off their books.
However, Hazard is not keen to leave mid-season and would prefer to wait until the summer.
Real boss Carlo Ancelotti is thought to have given his blessing for Hazard – who has not scored in 11 appearances this season – to leave the Bernabeu.

Speaking about Hazard’s future back in October, Ancelotti said: “Never in my career as a coach have I forced a player to stay when they want to leave.
“Hazard is ready, but his problem right now is that he has a coach who prefers other players, which can happen in a squad like this one.”
West Ham and Everton are thought to be the two Premier League clubs showing the most interest in bringing the Belgian back to England.
And if they can return him to full fitness then it could prove a masterstroke given his superb record in the Prem.
Hazard scored 111 goals in 352 appearances for Chelsea during a seven-year spell with the club.

Along with the Hammers and Toffees, Newcastle have also been linked with a move for the Madrid reject.
Outside of England, reports have suggested Hazard has ‘promised’ to sign for Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
He has also been linked with a move back to Belgium to play for minnows KVC Westerlo. More

West Ham complete Alphonse Areola transfer on one-year loan from PSG with option to buy as he relishes ‘tough season’

WEST HAM have made their first senior signing of the summer by capturing Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alphonse Areola – and have now targeted a deal for Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma. The Hammers have agreed a deal for 28-year-old Areola which gives them an option to sign him on a permanent basis next summer if he proves himself as number one at the London Stadium.

And they have opened talks with London rivals Chelsea about centre-back Zouma, indicating they are prepared to pay £20million for the French international.
Boss David Moyes has been on the look-out for a recognised top level keeper with veteran Lukasz Fabianski now only having one year left on his deal.
And he swooped for Areola after the Frenchman impressed during his year with Fulham last season, when he shone despite the club being relegated from the Premier League.
Moyes plumped for a deal for Areola instead of pushing ahead with interest in West Brom’s England star Sam Johnstone, preferring to save his money to strengthen his squad in other areas.
We have been aware of his qualities for a long time and we have no doubt he will be another player and character who will enhance our squadMoyes on Areola
The Hammers boss said: “As we prepare for a very busy schedule, he will provide fantastic competition for the goalkeepers already at the football club and we are going to need to use our squad to ensure compete to the best of our abilities across all competitions.
“We have been aware of his qualities for a long time and we have no doubt he will be another player and character who will enhance our squad.”
The hope is they can bring in Champions League winner Zouma as well as West Ham prepare for the added demands of Europa League football this season.
Chelsea are prepared to let the defender leave this summer if the right deal is offered, although it is believed they value him closer to £30m.
The Blues have offered Zouma to Sevilla as part of an attempt to sign Joules Kounde, but the player is understood to want to remain in the Premier League.

COMPETITION: SPOT THE BALL TO WIN A CAR AND CASH

The Hammers are still looking to bring in a recognised striker with Michael Antonio the only proven option in the squad, while the squad which finished sixth last season is still weakened because Jesse Lingard has returned to Manchester United.
Hopes of signing Lingard on a permanent basis are in the balance with United considering keeping him at Old Trafford, and the need to sign a forward is the main priority for West Ham.
Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham is one option but Moyes has made it clear they are not able to compete for his signature unless his £40million valuation comes down.

Liverpool eye Jarrod Bowen transfer as Jurgen Klopp looks to boost forward options with West ham star

LIVERPOOL are targeting a transfer for West Ham ace Jarrod Bowen, according to reports. Jurgen Klopp wants to bolster his attacking line this summer.
Jarrod Bowen is on Liverpool’s transfer wish list this summerCredit: Kevin Quigley-The Daily Mail
And the Liverpool Echo state the Reds did not deny rumours linking them with the former Hull star.
Bowen, 24, appears to be the ideal target for the 2019-20 Premier League champions who will be looking to wrestle back the trophy from Manchester City next season.
He managed eight goals and five assists as he appeared in all 38 league games last term.
In fact, West Ham won six and drew one when Bowen found the net.
Bowen would be unlikely to start regularly at Anfield with Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota ahead in the pecking order.
But Klopp knows the value of having Bowen in his squad and at his disposal as they hope to challenge on various fronts.
However, it would likely take a significant bid for West Ham to sell the former Hereford youngster.
The Hammers paid £22million for Bowen in January 2020, tying him down on a five-and-a-half-year contract.
And his stellar form – one of the standout performers in an impressive season at the London Stadium – means he is one of the club’s top assets.

Any Bowen transfer would also only happen if Xherdan Shaqiri or Divock Origi left Liverpool.
The two forwards are both deemed surplus to requirements on Merseyside but the club have not received suitable offers for them at this stage in the transfer window.
Contrary to recent reports, the Echo add Lazio have not made contact regarding Shaqiri while there have been no serious talks over Origi.

Lingard, 28, who narrowly missed out on a spot in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2020 England squad, enjoyed an impressive spell boosting West Ham’s attack from January to June this year.
The Cheshire-born forward netted nine goals and provided five assists in 16 Prem appearances for David Moyes’ Hammers.
And his efforts helped the team finish sixth in the top-flight last term and qualify for the Europa League.
It has now emerged that his stunning form was thanks in some part to the work of analyst Alexiadis Alexandros.
Lingard shared a picture of him alongside Alexandros and thanked him publicly for his contribution.
He wrote: “Thank you @alexiadis_alexandros for the analysis last year and congratulations on getting your new coaching role fully deserved.
“Now lets get ready for the new season.”
The 29-cap Three Lions international also revealed the targets he set himself in East London.
Under ‘application’, phrases such as ‘positive attitude’, ‘confidence’ and ‘belief’ are scrawled in pen.

    ‘BIG GAME PLAYER’
The Hammers’ fixtures were also listed with desired outcomes including ‘shots’, ‘goals’, ‘assists’, ‘take-ons’ and ‘man-of-the-match’ also written down.
As well as the targets, Lingard’s motivational board also featured the words ‘dynamic’, ‘intensity’ and ‘leadership’.
And phrases encouraging him to ‘be yourself’ and be a ‘big game player’ were also noted.

Man Utd fans hail ‘agent’ Luke Shaw over Declan Rice holiday bromance as England pals relax in Mykonos

MANCHESTER UNITED fans hailed ‘agent’ Luke Shaw after striking up a bromance with Declan Rice. The England pair are on holiday together in Mykonos after starring at Euro 2020.
Luke Shaw and Declan Rice have struck up a bromance over the summer
They have been letting their hair down on the Greek island in the week after their final heartbreak against Italy, going out for food and enjoying the swimming pool with ocean views.
Fellow England heroes Kyle Walker, Mason Mount, Ben Chilwell, Jack Grealish, Kalvin Philips and Ben White are there too – as is snooker hero Judd Trump.
The Manchester City right-back was filmed belting out a rendition of Sweet Caroline as they dined out at a restaurant.
But Red Devils supporters’ eyes were drawn to Shaw and Rice hanging out together – in the hope the left-back can convince the West Ham ace to join him at Old Trafford this summer.
After seeing the pair shine on the same side at the Euros, United fans will be dreaming of them doing the same under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
One said: “Agent Shaw working on Rice.”
Another wrote: “Need Shaw to do the fine work of taking Declan Rice aside and coming out the other side with his mind set on United.”
And a third added: “Agent Shaw. Keep on a Declan mate.”
Rice was linked with a transfer to United last year and has rejected two new contract offers at West Ham.

However, Chelsea are also monitoring his situation at the London Stadium.
The Blues could try and lure their former youth-team player back to the club after releasing him at 14. – but would likely need to stump up at least £80million.
Mount and Rice are best mates so would not doubt relish the chance to play together in the Premier League as well as the Champions League.

West Brom reject West Ham’s Sam Johnstone transfer bid with Tottenham also interested in £10m-plus England keeper

WEST HAM have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Sam Johnstone with West Brom dismissing their bid for the player. The Athletic claims the Irons’ offer – reportedly made this week – is significantly less than the £10million-plus fee the Hawthorns side are after.
West Brom have rejected West Ham’s bid for Sam JohnstoneCredit: Getty
David Moyes’ side, who finished sixth in the Premier League last term, are on the hunt for a possible successor to Lukasz Fabianski.
The Poland international, 36, is entering the final year of his contract with the Hammers following an extension in March this year.
The veteran stopper has kept 25 clean sheets in 101 West Ham appearances across all competitions following his July 2018 move from Swansea.
The Athletic claims Johnstone’s shot-stopping for West Brom has caught the attention of suitors despite the club being relegated to the Championship last season.
The player, who was part of England’s Euro 2020 squad, kept six clean sheets in 37 top-flight games for the club last term.
And although West Brom are expecting Johnstone to depart this summer, they want to do everything to receive the full asking price for his services.
However, reports suggest the Hammers are unlikely to want to increase their offer with the Preston-born stopper already in the final year of his contract.
It is believed the Irons could return for Johnstone when his contract expires in 2022.
However, the player is reportedly an Arsenal target with the Gunners searching for potential replacements for Bernd Leno should he leave the Emirates.
And Prem rivals Tottenham are also eyeing the player as a possible successor to Hugo Lloris next summer.

    ALTERNATIVE OPTION
West Ham are thought to have other goalkeeper options in mind with Paris Saint-Germain’s Alphonse Areola on their target list.
And the Irons are reportedly in talks with the Ligue 1 giants over a potential loan move for Areola, 28, with an option to buy.
The Paris-born stopper is likely to see first-team opportunities limited with PSG completing the signing of AC Milan and Italy ace Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The Azzurri goalkeeper earned praise for his European Championship-winning performance for Roberto Mancini’s side.

The player who signed a five-year deal with the Parc des Prince club, made a vital double-save to help Italy defeat England in the final of the 2020 Euros.
And it is thought Areola, who spent last term on loan at Fulham, is unlikely to want to play back-up to the Italy star.
