West Ham confirm £10.5m transfer for Alphonse Areola on five-year deal from PSG after successful loan spell

WEST HAM have completed the signing of Alphonse Areola for £10.5million on a five-year deal.The French goalkeeper joins from Paris Saint-Germain after spending last season on loan with the Hammers.

SunSport reported on Friday that the 29-year-old’s switch would be confirmed early this week, with David Moyes and his squad arriving in Scotland on Monday for pre-season.
And Areola will now join up with them as a permanent West Ham player until 2027, with the option of an extra year.
He said: “I feel good, I feel great, I’m happy to sign and happy to stay here and I can’t wait to start to train and to do the job.

Areola had been linked to other Premier League sides after his impressive campaign at the London Stadium, with Newcastle previously interested.

WEST HAM have made contact with Villarreal over signing Arnaut Danjuma.The Dutch attacker, 25, has had a stellar season in both La Liga and Europe having moved from then-relegated Bournemouth last summer.

WEST HAM are set to complete the permanent signing of Alphonse Areola.The French goalkeeper – who spent last season on loan with the Hammers – is expected to join for £10.5m from Paris Saint-Germain.

And SunSport understands the announcement is due to take place early next week with personal terms close to being agreed.
It will be the second signing of the summer for David Moyes’ side having also captured Rennes central defender Nayef Aguerd for £30m.

FULHAM have joined the race to sign Andriy Yarmolenko on a free transfer, according to reports.The winger, 32, will leave West Ham when his contract expires at the end of this month.

In 84 appearances across all competitions during his four-year spell with the Hammers he scored 12 goals.
Arguably the most memorable came as he fired the club to the Europa League quarter-finals with a dramatic extra-time finish against Sevilla in March.
However, West Ham officials have not offered him a new contract for his efforts.
Yarmolenko will become a free agent next month, but there are already a number of clubs competing for his signature, including Fulham.
