Wonderkid Sonny Perkins, 18, completes Leeds free transfer following bitter split from West Ham

LEEDS have completed the signing of 18-year-old wonderkid Sonny Perkins.The attacker, who left West Ham when his contract expired at the end of June, has signed a three-year deal with the Whites.

The 18-year-old has signed a three-year deal with Leeds
He will join up with the club’s Under-21s to prepare for the upcoming season.
Perkins spent most of his youth career with Leyton Orient before joining West Ham in 2019.
He made his first team debut for the Hammers last year during a Europa League clash with Rapid Vienna.
He then went on to make his Premier League debut against Leeds in January.

West Ham had initially hoped that he would remain in East London, but Perkins decided against signing a professional deal with the club.
This sparked a furious reaction, with the Hammers accusing Perkins’ representatives of breaking the rules regarding approaches from other clubs.

WEST HAM remain in negotiations with Eintracht Frankfurt over a deal to sign Filip Kostic after having their first bid rejected.The Hammers tabled an offer of around £10million with a further £2.5million in add-ons, but the Bundesliga club want up to £16million for the wing-back.

Kostic, 29, has just one year remaining on his contract in Germany but a number of clubs are interested, giving Frankfurt licence to drive up the price.
West Ham, however, are confident of being able to agree a fee somewhere in between their two valuations.
Should they agree an amount, West Ham will then have to convince Kostic to give up Champions League football to move to the London Stadium.
That means they may have to offer wages over £100,000 a week.

Kostic is represented by the same agent as Gianluca Scamacca, who joined the Hammers from Italian club Sassuolo on Tuesday.
Scamacca signed a five-year deal with West Ham following his move from Serie A, for an initial fee of £30.5million.

WEST HAM have agreed personal terms with striker Gianluca Scamacca and are set to complete the £30.5million deal on Tuesday.The Sassuolo ace, 23, will land in London tonight and undergo his medical in the morning before sealing his switch to the Premier League and ending West Ham’s long search for a striker.

Scamacca will become West Ham’s fourth summer signing as Moyes pushes to ensure the Hammers can continue to challenge for a top six finish and compete in Europe.
They have already landed defender Nayef Aguerd from Rennes, midfielder Flynn Downes from Swansea and made Alphonse Areola’s loan from Paris Saint-Germain permanent.
