Arsenal set to seal £110MILLION Declan Rice transfer as Chelsea, Man Utd and Bayern fall out of running for West Ham ace

WEST HAM are resigned to the fact that Declan Rice has set his heart on a move to Arsenal. And plans to start a bidding war with Chelsea, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are likely to be shelved by the Europa Conference League winners.

Hammers boss David Moyes is understood to prefer a deal with Chelsea involving Conor Gallagher in part-exchange.
But Rice has made it clear that he is not interested in a return to the club who released him at the age of 14.
German champions Bayern have already dropped their pursuit of the 24-year-old England star after being told Rice wants to remain in the Premier League.
And Manchester United are reluctant to spend huge money on another holding midfielder after buying £60million Casemiro last summer.

That has left the way clear for Arsenal to complete their priority signing of the summer and negotiations with West Ham are now at an advanced stage.
The Gunners are looking to pay a club record £90m for Rice, while the Hammers value him at £110m.
It is expected that the two clubs will agree on a £100m compromise, with the potential for a further £10m in bonus payments and add-ons.
No formal bid has yet been made by Arsenal, who were unhappy at the way their January moves for Mykhailo Mudryk and Moises Caicedo played out when a series of offers were publicly rejected.

They prefer to remain in confidential talks with West Ham until a fee and terms of payment can be agreed and are confident of securing the player’s signature in the next few weeks.
Rice is on England duty but will be on standby to confirm personal terms and undergo a medical from next week.
He believes he fits perfectly into Mikel Arteta’s policy of building a team around hungry young players who can grow together for the next five or six years.
And the opportunity to play Champions League football is another huge incentive for the midfielder, who has been told he can leave West Ham after rejecting a new £200,000-a-week contract. More

Michail Antonio lifts lid on West Ham’s wild dressing room celebrations in cheeky tease to fans

JUBILANT Michail Antonio believes West Ham will only get bigger and better after winning their first major trophy in 43 years. The Jamaican forward joked his own celebrations may last for three weeks as he lifted a second piece of silverware in his career — after the 2010 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy with Southampton.

Tens of thousands of Hammers fans made the journey to the Czech Republic and even more lined the streets for the home parade in East London last night.
Even though they finished 14th in the Premier League after battling relegation, the club will be preparing for the Europa League next season as they are parachuted straight into pot one for the group stages.
Antonio said: “How big is this club? It’s massive. You can see by the stadium, we hold more than 60,000.
“But I feel like we could easily sell out the stadium three or four times ourselves.

“Moving forward, this is not where we are going to stop.
“We will see if we can keep carrying it on and keep pushing ourselves and doing better.
“Last year we got to the semi-finals of the Europa League. This year, we won the Europa Conference League.
“You can see we have a good pack of boys here. We have got good confidence and hopefully we can build on that.”

Kicked throughout by Fiorentina defenders, Antonio was bleary-eyed when he finally emerged from the dressing room at 2am in the bowels of the Fortuna Arena.
Asked how the celebrations had been, some of which was streamed live on Instagram by the players, he joked: “There was a bit of everything.
“A bit of dancing, a bit of drinking, a bit of something I cannot say! It has been a pleasure obviously.
“For 58 years, West Ham have waited for this moment in Europe.
“It has been amazing, a great experience, probably the best season I have had since I have been at West Ham.”
Antonio has had to graft in order  to win a first major trophy of his career, from starting in non-league with Tooting and Mitcham to a number of loan spells — including stints in the EFL with Cheltenham, Colchester and Sheffield Wednesday.
The 33-year-old added: “Before the game, one of the things I said to the boys was that people don’t get many opportunities like this.
“Many footballers play football and don’t win a single thing in their whole careers.

Rice, 24, led the Irons to their first major European trophy since 1965 on Wednesday.
More than 70,000 fans lined the streets of East London to hail their heroes on their open-top bus victory parade.
Arsenal are expected to bid for England midfielder Rice in the coming days, while both Manchester clubs and Bayern Munich could soon follow.
Asked if Rice had played his last game for West Ham, Sullivan said: “It has to be. We promised him he could go. He set his heart on going.

“He wants to go. You can’t keep a player who doesn’t want to be there.”
Rice emulated legendary skipper Bobby Moore by lifting a major European trophy, thanks to Jarrod Bowen’s last-gasp Europa Conference League winner to beat Fiorentina 2-1.
Yesterday, Rice posted a photo on Instagram of himself holding the trophy in his Prague hotel bed with the caption: “Good morning”.
He has a year left on his current deal and West Ham have the option to extend it until 2025.
Rice has consistently expressed his desire to play in the Champions League and compete for major honours.
On whether any bids had already been made, Sullivan told talkSPORT: “No. But I think the offers will start to come.

“There are three or four clubs who have shown interest but out of respect to West Ham, while we’re still playing, you don’t make offers for players.”
Following Wednesday’s historic win, Rice refused to confirm whether his 245th appearance for the club would be his last.

He said: “It’s flattering to be wanted but the badge on my chest is West Ham and ultimately it’s up to the people above.”
Manager David Moyes’ future is also up in the air but he is now expected to stay on at the London Stadium to lead the search for Rice’s replacement. More

The first apology was issued on the BBC, but Rice could not contain himself as he continued: “These are the best fans in the world for me.
“Two years in a row we’ve had European competitions, they travel all round the world to watch us, pre-season, Europe and to be honest I didn’t expect this many people here tonight.
“But it is West Ham, we’re f****** massive, ain’t we?! Yes!”

DECLAN RICE has missed out on £10MILLION in wages after rejecting West Ham’s contract offer 18 months ago.Hammers owner David Sullivan revealed on Thursday that the club’s Europa Conference League triumph was Rice’s final game for the East London outfit as he prepares to depart in the summer.

The England international, 24, has come through West Ham’s youth set-up but is now the subject of interest from Europe’s top clubs including Arsenal, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
Yet despite his imminent departure, captain Rice has been praised for showing loyalty to his boyhood club.

And that trait was illustrated by him declining a £200,000-a-week contract 18 months ago – only for him to give his all while being paid wages well below his market value – thought to be around £60,000-a-week.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Sullivan said: “I think it has to be [his last game]. We promised him he could go. He set his heart on going.

Arsenal fans urge club to seal Declan Rice move as West Ham hero breaks silence on transfer plans

But Gunners’ supporters are more impatient, especially as some rival fans suggested Rice would be better off joining Bayern Munich.
Jarrod Bowen’s lethal last-minute finish clinched the Hammers’ first major trophy since 1980 with a 2-1 defeat of Fiorentina.
Rice was in tears afterwards and particularly emotional in a lengthy embrace with manager David Moyes.
The 24-year-old then told BT Sport: “There’s a lot of speculation about my future, obviously there is interest from other clubs, that’s out there.
