But partners of footy fanatics who have high hopes of a romantic dinner out may be left disappointed.
That is because Tuesday also marks the return of the Champions League.
After the Merseyside derby on Monday night, the European action comes back with a bang on Tuesday.
It is AC Milan vs Tottenham and a repeat of the 2020 final with Paris Saint-Germain vs Bayern Munich in a blockbuster double-header.

And the drama continues for the rest of the week with Borussia Dortmund hosting Chelsea and Scott Parker’s Club Brugges taking on Benfica on Wednesday.
Also on the same night is the eagerly-anticipated Premier League showdown between title rivals Arsenal and Manchester City at the Emirates.
Thursday sees the Europa League and Europa Conference League with Barcelona vs Manchester United the standout tie in the former.
There is also a full midweek EFL fixture list and England Women take on South Korea in the Arnold Clark Cup.

And to round off the incredible list of games, Newcastle host Liverpool on Saturday then Tottenham face West Ham in a mouth-watering London derby on Sunday while England face Italy.
So it is no surprise plenty of fans took to social media purring over the festival of football, which for many will take priority over any Valentine’s plans.
One said: “I think I’ve found the right love, I’m flattered.”
Another wrote: “Tbh 14th is football day not Valentine’s Day.”
A third joked: “Forget about flowers.”
And a final user commented: “None of this Valentine’s s***, it’s Champions League football tomorrow.”

Napoli unveil extremely bold new kit for Valentine’s Day and it leaves fans very divided

NAPOLI extended their lead at the top of Serie A in a Valentine’s Day-themed kit that has left fans very divided. Luciano Spalletti’s side demolished Cremonese 3-0 thanks to goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Victor Osimhen and Eljif Elmas.

But it was the kit rather than the team now being 16 points clear in the race for the Scudetto that has got everyone talking.
Despite playing at home, Napoli didn’t wear their famous blue strip, instead opting for a white shirt with red trim.
And most eye catching of all, the top had huge lips planted on the bottom to represent a kiss.
It left some supporters falling in love with the design, one said: “Napoli’s kits are so fire.”

While others disagreed: “Don’t think I’ve ever seen anything more horrifying than this Napoli kit.”
More commented: “This Napoli Valentine’s kit is cute, yes, but it’s also hideous.”
This is not the first time the Italian title chasers have wore a slightly unusual strip this season.
For a friendly against Villarreal during the December break for the World Cup, the Naples-based side wore a Christmas shirt with a cartoon reindeer on it.

It led to one fan joking: “Imagine Napoli were to mathematically win the league wearing a kit with the Easter bunny on it.”
In past campaigns, a kit with club legend Diego Maradona’s face on was worn after he died 2020.
And the 2018/19 home shirt featured a hidden animal on it, while the away kit that year represented snake skin. More

The former footballer and Walkers ambassador, surprised shoppers in London’s Old Spitalfields Market to celebrate the bouquets going on sale.
The limited-edition 12-stem bouquets, made up of a dozen packs of crisps, give people more opportunities to win £100k for finding the UK’s ‘best’ heart-shaped crisp.
The bouquets are available in three varieties – Ready Salted Red, Salted and Vinegar Green and a Cheese and Onion Blue and available to purchase until Tuesday 14th February.
It comes after research revealed 53 per cent of 2,000 adults polled would prefer to receive their favourite snacks and crisps over cliché presents like chocolates and flowers.

Gary Lineker, speaking on behalf of the brand, said: “As a lifelong advocate of crisps, this is a great way to share the love this Valentine’s Day.
“Not only are you getting 12 packs of your favourite crisps, but you might also find the UK’s best heart shaped crisp and bag yourself £100k – what’s not to love?”
It also emerged 72 per cent of adults believe food plays an important part within love and romance, according to the OnePoll data.
And 70 per cent would prefer a gift that was given some thought than something that was expensive.

Unluckily for one in 10, they’ve bought a gift their recipient didn’t like.
The study also found 39 per cent of those celebrating Valentine’s this year would be happy with the opportunity of potential big money winnings, by receiving a lottery ticket.
A spokesperson from Walkers added: “Through our hunt for the best heart-shaped crisp, we wanted to bring a little joy and levity to people’s lives to start the year – and what better way to continue that into February than with the launch of the limited-edition Valentine’s Day bouquets.
“Through these bouquets and the wider competition, we want to share some of the love that we receive as the nation’s most-loved crisps – and give people the chance to win a life-changing prize while enjoying their favourite snack.”

Palace team-mates past and present including Jeffrey Schlupp, Mile Jedinak, Tyrick Mitchell, Odsonne Edouard and Nathaniel Clyne were among those to add their best wishes to Zaha’s post.
And Rio Ferdinand, who was at Manchester United when Zaha joined the club in 2013, added ‘Congrats bro’, with a carrot emoji – in reference to the mega-carat diamond.
Zaha started dating Bannister in 2016, when he was spotted with the former University of Westminster student outside her hall of residence in Wembley.
They welcomed their first child together in November 2020, son Saint Laurence.
On the field this season, Zaha has scored six goals in 19 Premier League appearances under Patrick Vieira and missed a chunk of the season to represent Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations.
