McGregor, 33, last fought in July when he suffered a horror broken tibia, which required surgery afterwards.
It came in the first round of his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier, 33, following his knockout loss in the rematch seven months earlier.
McGregor has been steadily increasing his training regime ahead of a return to the octagon late this year.

The former two-weight UFC champion called to fight welterweight king Kamaru Usman, 34, in his comeback bout.
But McGregor was brutally told by ex-UFC lightweight Josh Thomson, 44, that his best days are over.
Thompson said on his podcast: “ Conor McGregor can say whatever he wants. He is not one hundred percent dedicated to fighting.
“And even if he became one hundred percent dedicated to fighting, we still would not see the Conor McGregor of old. It just wouldn’t happen.

But the reality could be drawing closer as Ngannou made a YouTube video to challenge Fury, but ruled out doing it in the cage.
He said: “I don’t really care about what it would be, I just think it would be a fight.

“Obviously he won’t come to MMA, that’s not something that could happen. He would get killed.”

Fury, 33, returns to the boxing ring on April 23 when he defends his WBC title and unbeaten record against Dillian Whyte, 33, at Wembley.
But he claimed retirement will follow and the only form of fighting he will continue to compete in will be for crossover bouts.
He has included Ngannou, 35, in that list and eyes a super-fight in Las Vegas next year.
But, the UFC prohibits their athletes from competing outside the promotion while under contract.

Conor McGregor, 33, was given a special exemption in 2017 to face boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, 45, and Ngannou called for similar.
The UFC have seemed unwilling to play ball and the Cameroonian, who has just had knee surgery, currently has NO fights left on his current contract.
As champion, he has tied down for 12 months after his last bout, which came in January with a win over Ciryl Gane, 31.
It remains to be seen whether Ngannou will extend his deal or see it out to pursue a career in boxing.
But he did admit discussions need to be had with the UFC one way or another.

The American then officially retired after going 50-0 but recently returned in an exhibition against Paul, 27, who weighed TWO STONE more.
And amazingly, Mayweather was taken the distance with no winner declared having failed to score a knockout.
Following a draw and loss to online rival KSI, 28, in the past, Paul is still without a win in the boxing ring.

JAKE PAUL has laughed off Kamaru Usman’s $100million fight demand – and claimed he is worth only 20 per cent of that. Paul has been trading words with the UFC welterweight champion and Dana White over the past year.

And Usman confirmed he would fight the YouTuber-turned boxer in the ring – but it would come at the cost of $100m.
In an interview on The Journey podcast, Paul responded: “Usman’s not worth $100m, he’s like a $3-5million type of guy who’s owned by Dana.
“Whenever he gets let out of the contract, let’s make it happen, easy money.
“I already embarrassed Dana’s company by taking out Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley and I don’t think he wants that.
“It would be too much of a risk for him to let one of his fighters lose to me.”
Paul, 25, was last in the ring in December when he knocked out Usman’s ex-opponent Woodley, 39, in their late-notice rematch.
Woodley had been beaten on points four months earlier but replaced Tommy Fury, 22, who pulled out injured.
