Ngannou, 37, is the former undisputed UFC heavyweight champion following his win against Ciryl Gane in January 2022.
But since his departure from the sport earlier this year after failing to agree on a new contract, he has chased big fights in the boxing world.
And the heavy-weight fighter has received the biggest bout of them all as his first boxing outing is against the self-named ‘Gypsy King’.
With the Riyadh clash just days away football superstar Ronaldo has gifted Ngannou a lavish watch as a token of his support.

The Al-Nassr star gave Ngannou a watch worth a reported half a million Saudi riyals or £110,000.
And the ex-UFC star took to social media to share a video of his reaction to the watch being presented to him.
When the pair first met in January, the Portuguese legend convinced the Ngannou that the Gulf state is “the future of sports.”
Now thanks to Ronaldo’s pep talk the biggest fight of the year is just around the corner.

“A lot of people don’t understand now but they are changing really fast, it’s moving really fast.
“And that’s even what I personally, that was my feeling when I got there.
“It was my first time going to Saudi and I was literally like, I didn’t really know how to carry myself, how to behave myself.
“But I get there and find out that everything is cool. It was just like normal life. It’s pretty cool, man.”

Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou net worth combined: How career earnings and endorsements compare ahead of super-fight

TYSON FURY and Francis Ngannou are set to collide is a crossover clash for the ages where legacies will be put on the line. Fury welcomes the ex-UFC champion to the ring this Saturday in Saudi Arabia.

TYSON FURY VS FRANCIS NGANNOU: ALL THE DETAILS YOU NEED AHEAD OF HUGE CROSSOVER CLASH
And the bout is expected to earn the pair millions as the boxing and MMA world come together.
SunSport runs down how much both Fury and Ngannou are worth heading into the Battle of Baddest.
    Tyson Fury
The Gypsy King – who has won every belt in boxing – has shifted his focus to becoming the world’s richest sports star.
And he could be well on his way after Derek Chisora said his fight with Ngannou will earn him at least $50million (£41m).

He has also agreed to face Oleksandr Usyk afterwards with their agreement believed to include two bouts.
Fury’s US promoter Bob Arum claimed his three-fight business deal with the Saudis could earn him up to $200m (£165m).

That is already added on to the mass fortune he has acquired during his prizefighting career already – which he has partly used to build up a vast car collection including TWO Rolls Royces.
His two rematch wins over Deontay Wilder and knockout of Dillian Whyte banked him around £70m.

He also had another stadium fight with Derek Chisora – which he won in round ten – with reports revealing that made him another £20m.
It takes his total boxing earnings to over £100m, with potentially another £165m to come over his next three fights.
Forbes say Fury, who travels by private jet despite having SEVEN mouths to feed, earns $2m (£1.6m) from sponsors, which include his own clothing and drinks line as well as Wow Hydrate.

    Francis Ngannou
Ngannou walked out on the UFC when his contract expired having seen a move to boxing previously blocked.
During his reign as UFC champ, the Cameroonian would have received pay-per-view bonuses for his fights.
Eyebrows were raised when it was revealed Ngannou only made $600,00 (£493,000) for his final UFC win over Ciryl Gane.
Although with his PPV pounds, his final pay cheque would have been well into the millions.

Still, it is not a fraction of the $10m (£8.2m) that Fury announced Ngannou would make after leaving the UFC for the boxing ring.
He said: “Everyone said he was an idiot for walking away from the UFC and now all of a sudden he’s a genius, isn’t he?
“Guy’s about to make $10million. Come on! Egg in their face! Francis is going to make that bag. Rich!”

Ngannou was believed to have been offered an $8m (£6.5m) guarantee to remain at the UFC and fight Jon Jones.

Tyson Fury reveals shock training camp tactic as he prepares for ‘awkward’ Francis Ngannou fight

TYSON FURY has unveiled a surprise new tactic ahead of his exhibition fight with UFC star Francis Ngannou. The two are set to face off in a ten-round exhibition bout in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on October 28.

Fury and Ngannou sat down to discuss the fight on TNT Sports with Carl Frampton, with the atmosphere between the two generally being one of respect.
When Frampton asked if Ngannou’s untrained boxing style could give Fury any cause for concern, he said he is taking that consideration very seriously – and is changing his training to prepare for that.
Fury said: “This is why I’m putting in a 12 week training camp instead of a six week camp which I usually do for like, Wilder, White or Chisora.
“I usually do six weeks, but I’m giving Francis 100 per cent focus. And because he’s not a boxer and he’s coming across from a different background, I have to prepare more.
    READ MORE BOXING NEWS
“Because with normal boxers, I can prepare but with his [Ngannou’s] awkward style, he can come from different directions so I have to be prepared for that and that’s why I’m training as hard as I can and giving it 100 per cent respect.”
When Frampton asked how Ngannou reacted to hearing Fury has put in extra prep for him, he said: “Well he’s showed he’s very smart. He know it’s going to be a fight unlike what some people are thinking.
“I’ve been preparing for more than twelve weeks because this is my first boxing training camp and there’s a lot of things I’m trying to understand as far as boxing is concerned.
“The goal is to get there ready and give him a war.”

Despite coming into the fight having never boxed before, Ngannou had one of the most impressive records in the UFC before leaving the organisation.
The Predator had a 17-3-0 career and was the organisation’s reigning heavyweight champion until January this year.
Ngannou left the organisation after failing to come to terms with Dana White over a new pay deal and was subsequently stripped of his belt.
Given there is no MMA organisation close in quality to the UFC, that left Ngannou stuck for what to do in the sport he’s been so successful in.
That’s made Ngannou a big potential fish in crossover boxing events and Fury is the first boxer to make a fight with him happen.
Fury currently holds the WBO heavyweight belt and is considered by most to be the lineal heavyweight champion in boxing.
The Morecambe resident will have to wait until he fights Oleksandr Usyk on December 23 to see if he can unify the division, however.
Although that fight is now in doubt after Usyk revealed how he hopes to prepare for any unification clash.
No belts are on the line for his exhibition bout with Ngannou. More

Tyson Fury explains why Francis Ngannou is a ‘much more dangerous’ fight than Oleksandr Usyk

TYSON FURY has insisted Francis Ngannou is a “much more dangerous” opponent than Oleksandr Usyk. Fury, 35, and Usyk, 36, have signed an agreement to meet in the heavyweight division’s first ever four-belt unification bout.

But first, the WBC champion returns next Saturday in a crossover clash against ex-UFC star Ngannou.
And despite the Cameroonian powerhouse, 37, making his boxing debut, Fury argued he will be tougher than unbeaten Usyk.
Fury told ESPN: “A lot of people are on about this undisputed fight, fantastic.
“But I have a much more dangerous person to deal with next, I believe.

“Francis is a bigger man, stronger, more powerful and has knockout capability. Usyk, he doesn’t really do much damage to people he hits.”
Fury has flirted with retirement in the past but has made several U-turns on when he will call it a day.
And having already lined up his next pair of bouts, the Gypsy King now hopes it will be just two of many.
Fury said: “I’m looking to sign another ten-fight deal after this, so I don’t know, I’m going to put my feelers out there and see who I can get the best deal off for another ten fights.

And Ngannou, 37, called on the help of heavyweight icon Tyson for what will mark his boxing debut.
But Tyson has been quick to reaffirm that he is coaching the Cameroonian powerhouse but is not his lead trainer.
He told GQ: “I’m not a trainer. I’m a coach. A trainer can be bought by anybody. ‘Train this guy. Hey, train this guy,’.
“I’m a coach. I’m loyal to my guy. When he gets beat up, I feel the punches.

Danis went up against Paul in the weekend’s influencer boxing event.
Paul won the fight with a unanimous decision after Danis threw just NINE punches throughout the six-round clash.
But, just as the final bell was about to go, Danis attempted an MMA-style takedown on Paul.
The move did not come off, with Paul then throwing a punch and Danis reciprocating with a kick back towards him before security detail from both camps rushed into the ring to spark a mass brawl.

Speaking on Piers Morgan Uncensored on Talk TV, Danis said: “I wasn’t actually trying to but he was smart and he Vaselined his head up. So I guess he knew I was going for his neck but at that moment I actually wasn’t.
“I was grabbing his head and he just kind of shrugged me and with the Vaseline and then he threw that punch and I up-kicked him.”
Danis blasted Paul’s tactics in the fight, claiming the PRIME founder was running away whenever he tried to get in close.
He said: “The fight, it didn’t feel like a fight, it felt like he was running away, every time I tried to engage with him and get in there and trade, he tried to get away… he was running, he was on the back foot the whole time. I wanted to fight.”

The 30-year-old then hinted at the possibility of a rematch in the Octagon, declaring Paul had even agreed to the fight.
Danis added: “I was just messing around a little bit. Boxing is not a real fight, it’s a half a fight.
“I want to fight him in a real fight, [he] shook my hand and said he was going to fight me in MMA… he shook my hand, if he’s a real man, he should…
“Fight Paul in MMA? I am ready to do it, I can do it tonight. I didn’t take any damage, so I want to take a fight in the next thirty days. I’m ready to go!”
The fight between the pair came after months of trash-talking, a lot of which involved Paul’s partner Nina Agdal.
Danis insisted his talking was done with the aim of promoting the fight, but was critical of Paul’s own ability to promote it and to respond to what he said in the build-up.
He said: “I went out there, I didn’t get wobbled and I didn’t do it for the fame, but I thought Logan would be a better promoter. He was terrible.
“He beat me in a boxing fight. If he beat me in an MMA fight. he has boxed for five, seven years, he could have rattled me. He didn’t do anything to me, a couple of smacks, that’s it.”

Fury, 24, declared he was “done with this crossover s***” following the fight.
However, he immediately back-tracked on this by calling out Logan – who had beaten Dillon Danis in the fight before – and Jake Paul.
After his fight, he said: “He goes his way I go mine. I’m done with all this s***. All this crossover s***. I’m not part of that, I’m here to fight and we go on to the next challenge now.
“I’m done with the bulls***. F*** the bulls***, on to the next challenge. Any of the Paul’s want it I welcome it with open arms.”

Meanwhile, KSI claimed the result of the fight was a “robbery” and wants to rematch TNT after landing just one punch less than his opponent.
Stepping towards career fighters, one shock option for Fury is MMA legend Conor McGregor.
Fury told Fight Hub TV: “I would love to share the ring with Conor McGregor. And if Conor Mcgregor wants it next I will 100 per cent share the ring with him.
“I am a fan of Conor McGregor, I like him, he’s a good man, he got me into UFC.

“If he wants to share the ring, my hand’s there, the offer’s there, I’ll have Conor next.”
One outside of the box alternative could see Floyd Mayweather enter the ring against Fury.
Mayweather has not stepped into the ring since facing John Gotti III in June.
The unbeaten 50-0 boxer could smell the chance to earn some serious money and offer to face Fury in the ring.
Mayweather has previously fought against Misfits boxing fighters, having beaten Deji in a November 2022 exhibition match and Logan Paul in June 2021.
Whether he would want to lace up opposite a pro fighter seems doubtful.
