Gonzalez will be welcomed to the BKFC ring by former Combate Americas flyweight Charisa Sigala, who made her promotional debut in February.
The UFC vet was originally meant to make her debut on May 21 but had her maiden outing pushed back.
Upon announcing her deal with the promotion, Gonzalez said: “I’ve officially signed with [Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships] and I will be fighting in Miami on May 21!.
“I made the biggest sacrifice of my life, packed up everything and moved to Brooklyn, New York permanently to train with the greatest female boxer in the world, [Amanda Serrano].
“I promise to dedicate my life to becoming the next BKFC World Champ and couldn’t be happier to start this new chapter in my life!”
Gonzalez was released from the UFC in 2018 following back-to-back losses to Cynthia Calvillo and Poliana Botelho.

She returned to Invicta FC soon after, where she won four of her last six outings.
BKFC’s acquisition of Gonzalez is the latest in a series of marquee signings of ex-UFC fighters.
Last August, they secured the services of former strawweight and flyweight standout Paige VanZant.
And in April, they snapped up former Ultimate Fighter competitor Rachael Ostovich.
Ostovich is set to make her BKFC debut against VanZant at BKFC 19 on July 23.

The pair, 30 and 27 respectively, have history with one another having shared the octagon in January 2019.
VanZant got the better of the Hawaiian that night, submitting her with a second-round rear-naked choke.
Following the announcement of their rematch, PVZ gave her legion of social media followers a titillating reason to tune in to the fight.
She wrote on Twitter and Instagram: “Come for the boobies, stay for the violence.”
Ostovich, meanwhile, wrote: “It’s a Fight girl summer for meeeeeee.
“Let’s run this back real quick. 👀 See y’all July 23rd.”

But boxing legend Mayweather insists he’s still willing to trade heavy leather with The Notorious.
When asked if he’s open fighting the Irishman again, Mayweather told Showtime Sports: “Absolutely. He easy.”
He added: “The beef is all these guys look up to me, steal my blueprint and then get to hating on me.”

The Irishman suffered a tenth-round TKO defeat to the undefeated Mayweather, who announced his third retirement from the sport after notching his 50th professional victory.

During an impromptu Twitter Q&A, McGregor said of preparations for a potential rematch: “I’d have people press forward in sparring.
“Especially in the later rounds. A fresh body pressing forward for the last 4 rounds.”
After getting wind of Mike Tyson’s praising of his performance last March, he tweeted: “Thank you, Mike.
“And just know that for the inevitable rematch, with the knowledge I now hold of Floyd’s style, plus under the tutelage of my old school boxing coach, I will crack the puzzle, and I will beat Floyd.
“I promise my life on it.”
Mayweather, 44, is currently gearing up for an eight-round exhibition bout against YouTuber Logan Paul, whom he’ll face in Miami on Monday morning.
McGregor, meanwhile, is preparing for a crucial trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier, who he’ll rematch on July 10 in the main event of UFC 264 in Las Vegas.

Describing Woodley as the ‘perfect opponent’, the First Round Management CEO stated that a rematch clause could see the pair go toe-to-toe twice.
First up will be a boxing contest on August 28 which will see Paul take a bigger slice of the pie while not leaving his opponent out of pocket.
Kawa told MMAFighting: “[Woodley]’s getting paid really well. It’s one of the best deals I’ve ever done.
“For a guy in his situation, it was a tremendous deal. He’s getting a large base number. He’s getting a cut of the pay-per-view globally.
“He’s participating in a lot of different things. He should walk away with a multi-million dollar payday.
“His base guarantee is in the millions already. Add on all the extra stuff, it’s a really nice payday.
“We just got to a point where we felt comfortable with it and Jake is probably making the lion’s share of the money, which he is, but nonetheless Tyron, this is a real good day for him.”

How Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley stack up ahead of their clash
Woodley, 39, has opened up as an underdog against Paul – who knocked out his good friend Ben Askren in April.
The early odds come as no surprise to White, who said: “It has to do with Woodley’s age, and he hasn’t won a fight in three years.”
As far as predictions go, White believes the Woodley that terrorized the welterweight division a few years ago would make light work of Paul.
But after seeing The Chosen One lose his last four on the bounce, the veteran promoter isn’t sure how the fight will play out.
When asked to give his prediction for the fight, White said: “Listen, man. Woodley should knock him out.
