Tyson, one of the most celebrated punchers of all time, has taken a liking to the YouTuber.
He even had him on his undercard in November when Paul knocked out ex-NBA star Nate Robinson.
And Tyson, 55, has predicted Woodley, 39, will suffer a similar fate and enjoy a cash out while doing so.
He said on his podcast: “I’m proud of them. Are they gonna fight? He’s fighting an experienced fighter. That’s so cool.
“I don’t know. Paul’s a real good striker, and I think people do him a disservice when they go in there and say, ‘He’s blonde-haired and blue-eyed, he’s a white b***’, and I think that also builds their courage up and causes them to get knocked out.
“Jake’s gonna beat him. Woodley’s not a puncher like that, that’s why he wants to fight this guy, to get his last payday probably.”

Paul, 24, knocked out online rival ‘AnEsonGib’ before doing the same against Robinson, 37.
Most recently he beat retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren – a friend and training partner of Woodley’s – in his last fight in April.
Paul has not been taken past round two, and fans even accused his KO against Askren of being ‘rigged’.
It left the American social media sensation pleading with Woodley to go ‘a couple rounds’ in their fight.
“Jake’s gonna beat him. Woodley’s not a puncher like that, that’s why he wants to fight this guy, to get his last payday probably.Mike Tyson on Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley
Paul told SunSport: “I’ve said it, I wouldn’t mind going a couple rounds with this guy.
“To show my inside fighting, to show my work to the body, to show how I set shots up, to show my head movement, defence.
“To show that I can take a hit. I haven’t been able to show any of this, so I really wouldn’t mind it going a couple of rounds because then I think the boxing community will be like, ‘Oh, damn this kid can actually fight’.
“Even in the last fight, I knocked Ben Askren out, people were like, ‘There’s no way this is possible, it’s rigged’.
“Yeah, I want a challenge and I want a tough fight.”

With three wins, all by knockout, it has left Paul convincing fans his talent is real and respect should be put on his name.
But others are not so open to accepting the social media sensation is worth of any praise.
And predictions on Paul’s fight with Woodley reflects the dividing and differing opinons, as SunSport runs down the pick of the bunch.
    KSI
The British YouTuber has long rivalled Paul, with the pair both beating each other’s brothers.
But a grudge match between them has yet to materialise and KSI – for the first time – backed his online rival to win.
KSI, 28, said on YouTube: “I think Jake Paul’s gonna win. Because every time I’ve said Jake Paul’s gonna lose, he wins.
“Same thing happens with crypto. I go, I’m feeling bullish, and then it tanks. Jake Paul’s gonna win. He’s gonna absolutely destroy Tyron Woodley.”

    Jorge Masvidal
The UFC welterweight is a known admirer of Paul, who even trained with Masvidal, 36, before knocking out Ben Askren, 37, in April.
But Masvidal is a long-long friend and training partner of Woodley’s and has no doubt his boy will win.
He told said on The MMA Hour: “Woodley can throw them hands. Ben Askren never could.
“So, it’s like you’ve got a guy that can fight if it’s slinging fists.Woodley could have made his money grappling, which he did.
“He was good enough of an athlete, and he was good enough of an athlete to make his money with his hands to knock people the f*** out.”

    Mike Tyson
Iron Mike has taking a liking to Paul, who knocked out Nate Robinson, 37, on the heavyweight legend’s undercard last November.
And Tyson, 55, has the American celebrity to beat Woodley, 39, who is ‘not a puncher’.

    Dana White
The UFC president has feuded with Paul in recent months with verbal jabs being thrown both ways.
Woodley, who left the UFC this year after four straight losses, also never saw eye-to-eye with the boss, but still White has tipped his former champ to win.
He told the Real Quick With Mike Swick podcast: “You tell me when is the last time you saw Woodley look like Woodley?
“I’d have to go with Woodley by knockout. Listen, man, Woodley should knock him out.
“But, again, the Tyron Woodley that you talk about, that was the champ, isn’t the same f***ing guy he was four years ago.”
    Prediction: Tyron Woodley

    Israel Adesanya
UFC middleweight champion Adesanya was a guest commentator the night Paul knocked out basketball player Robinson.
And it has been enough to convince him Woodley suffers a similar fate.
Adesanya, 32, said on The MMA Hour: “Jake most likely. Tyron’s just small. Yeah, and I mean, Tyron, on the trailer, they called him an expert striker.
“I’m like, since when? Expert striker, yeah, I was like, ‘Since the f*** when?’ He’s got a right hand that he, you know, looks for.
“So, when you have one thing to look for, it’s easier to avoid that. And, yeah, Jake’s big. Jake’s actually a good boxer. So, yeah, if I was gonna bet, I’d bet on Jake Paul.”

    Logan Paul
Not surpassingly, Logan, 26, has backed his younger brother to win, but reckons another highlight-reel KO is on the cards.
He said: “I think he’s gonna knock out Tyron Woodley in round one. Like round one fight, Jake Paul to the moon.”
Jake, 24, responded: “I think so too.”

    Georges St-Pierre
The UFC legend and former two-weight champion failed to pick a decisive winner, but for sure did not rule out Paul beating Woodley.
St-Pierre, 40, told MMA Fighting: “He could, definitely.
“It’s a different sport. In MMA I would say no, but in boxing he’s much bigger than Tyron Woodley, and also he trains very hard.
“I’m not saying that’s what’s going to happen, but I think he definitely can do it. I’m not one of the haters, and [Paul] actually is a very nice guy.”
    Prediction: Sitting on the fence

    Tommy Fury
Fury, 22, has been embroiled in a viral feud with Paul for weeks and will even feature on his undercard.
The British light-heavyweight will fight Paul’s sparring partner Anthony Taylor, 32, and win sets them up for a grudge match.
Fury has backed Paul to beat Woodley by default, believing matchmakers would not have allowed him to face any sort of threat.
He said: “He has earned a lot of money and if there was any chance of Tyron Woodley beating Jake Paul that contract wouldn’t have got signed.
“Why would Jake Paul put himself in a position where he is going to get knocked spark out?
“He is not going to fight anybody who will test him because he doesn’t need to.”

Wonderboy Thompson twice fought Woodley – both while in their primes – drawing the first but losing the second.
And he believes his former opponent will be able to beat Paul on points in the eight-round attraction.
Wonderboy, 38, told James Lynch,: “Tyron. No, I think you know, Jake Paul is very smart. I think his defence, his movement is very, very good.
“I think it will be a decision.”

“I have something inside of me that I think is just a natural-born fighter, with natural power.
“You can teach a lot of things, but you can’t teach speed and you can’t teach power.

“There’s no way these people’s heads can deal with this damage.”
Former UFC welterweight king Woodley will be the most skilled opponent Paul has faced in his brief combat sports career.
But the Problem Child doesn’t foresee the 39-year-old giving him too much trouble, adding: “Honestly after this camp, I said three [rounds] and now I’m thinking, max two.
“But to be honest, something in my heart tells me that it’s going to be another one-round fight.

“As crazy as that sounds. I think it’s going to be a very short night for Tyron.”
Paul has yet to have his chin tested by any of his opponents but expects that to change in his next outing.
He said: “My first fight with AnEsonGib, there was like a head butt and his head went straight into my nose in the clinch.

Jake Paul’s sparring partners reveal how good he is in the ring as YouTuber prepares to fight ex-UFC star Tyron Woodley

JAKE PAUL has divided opinions since he burst on to the boxing scene in polarising fashion. But behind the scenes, from the YouTuber’s first white collar fight in 2018 heading into his fourth professional bout, he has put his efforts into becoming a fully fledged prizefighter.
Jake Paul pictured with his sparring in Puerto Rico
He has beaten online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, all by knockout.
But now, Paul faces his biggest step up to date on August 29, facing ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley.
Here, SunSport spoke to those with an insight on Paul’s abilities, having shared the ring with him.
    Jake Bostwick, 18-10 MMA fighter
Bostwick, 31, was earlier in the year invited into Paul’s Miami training base to give a feel of how an experienced MMA fighter moved in the ring.
And Brit – also a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship star – was left shocked by Paul’s dedication to the sweet science.
He said: “I genuinely rate his boxing, I rate his work ethic and I rate how comfortable he is in there with someone of my calibre or anyone else he’s working with.
“I hit him with some clean shots, he didn’t care, threw some shots back, slipping, moving, his jab is good.
“He’s not just this stupid person people think he is who runs his mouth, he is super polite, the dude was like, ‘please, thank you’, he shook my hand.
“He’s very respectful. He runs his mouth and a lot of people don’t like that but he’s got nothing to lose, he doesn’t give a s***.
“He’s got money behind him, he’s got his friends behind him and if you understand who he is, he’s pretty cool.”
Jake Paul pictured with sparring partner Jake Bostwick

    Robin Safar, 11-0 light-heavyweight
Safar was asked by his trainer – and friend of Paul’s head coach BJ Flores – to help out with sparring last year.
The heavy-handed puncher sparred Paul before he beat Robinson last November, on the returning Mike Tyson’s undercard.
Safar, 28, said: “He’s got good speed and good reactions. He’s naturally born with speed, explosiveness and reactions, that’s what you’re born with.
“I feel like when I sparred him, he was developing his ring IQ, he was trying to think in the ring.
“He’s a good kid and he’s got ambition for what he’s doing, he’s determined and I believe anybody can do anything in life, no matter who you are or what your background is.

“Jake is still green, but for being green he’s good. I think he’s really good.”
Paul is yet to go past round two, due to the level of opposition, but Safar revealed he is developing knowhow between the ropes.
He explained: “He’s really good for a YouTuber, he’s a smart kid because he wouldn’t be in the position he is today if he wasn’t.
“In boxing, you’ve got to have a brain and I know Jake’s got it.
“If he can use his IQ the way he does outside of boxing, in the ring, and add the determination and ambition, he can be really good.”
    Ahmed Elbiali, 20-1 light-heavyweight
Elbiali was also on hand to help Paul in his preparation for Robinson and the pair sparred once.
He admits to holding back on the novice, but noticed some potential in the millionaire vlogger under the guidance of ex-cruiserweight contender Flores.
Elbiali, 30, said: “Jake’s athletic and powerful, but you can’t compare him to seasoned professionals, there is no comparison.
“He seems relaxed and composed which is really good. He has a great right hand, great right hand, very strong, to the body or head.
“He used his jab well and he listens to BJ well.
“BJ is a good fighter, a good coach, he knows the sport very well and he’s passing on a lot of knowledge to Jake too.
“Jake truly, truly, truly, does listen to BJ and he truly does love the sport of boxing and he really believes what he’s saying, he’s not bulls***ing.
“And that’s where I respect it, a man with passion is unstoppable.”
Ahmed Elbiali pictured with Floyd Mayweather
    Jean Pascal, 20-1 light-heavyweight, 35–6–1 (1)
After Paul and his brother Logan moved to Puerto Rico, they were regularly training with Pascal, a former world champion.
And the light-heavyweight compared to two brothers and their differing styles.
Pascal, 38, said: “Logan is more natural, he’s a gifted athlete, a naturally-gifted athlete.
“Jake Paul is more technical, he relies more on his technique, he has good technique. It’s two different styles but both brothers are good.
“I was like a lot of people at the beginning, thinking these guys are just YouTubers, Jake and Logan.
“But to be in camp with them, to see them training hard everyday, training like world-class boxers, I was surprised and very, very shocked.
“They earned my respect because of that, I’ve seen them in the gym like every single day and they have love for our sport.
“I think it’s good for boxing that these guys bring some eyeballs into the sport as more people are going to watch the fight because of them.”

Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley: How YouTuber and out-of-form UFC star compare ahead of this week’s massive fight

JAKE PAUL and Tyron Woodley are set to go toe-to-toe in the boxing ring this week.YouTuber Paul, 24, holds a 3-0 professional record early in his career, while 39-year-old UFC star Woodley has lost his last four fights in the octagon.
How Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley compare ahead of their boxing match
Woodley called out Paul in April – but insisted he wanted any fight to be under MMA regulations.
But the pair will now instead face off in the boxing ring.
But how do Paul and Woodley compare ahead of their proposed fight?
Paul holds the edge in boxing, having fought – and won – three times in the ring.
Woodley has never boxed, but is streets ahead of his American rival in terms of fighting experience.
The veteran MMA star has been fighting in UFC since February 2009 and has a career record of 19-7-1 following a recent slump in form.

Jake Paul is cutting no corners with his diet

Woodley most-recently lost to Vicente Luque, following losses at the hands of Colby Covington, Gilbert Burns and Kamaru Usman.
Meanwhile, Paul will go into the fight fresh from his quick-fire mauling of ex-MMA star Ben Askren, having already beaten former NBA star Nate Robinson and YouTuber AnEsonGib since turning pro.
Paul, standing at 6ft 2in, holds the height advantage over 5ft 9in Woodley, while boasting an extra stone in weight and additional two inches on his reach.
Despite that, Woodley should provide the sternest test of Paul’s fledgling career.
The Chosen One claimed the UFC welterweight belt at UFC 201 then defended it four times.

And he recently revealed his desire to ‘f***ing hit Paul’s face’ – although Woodley had initially hoped to fight in the octagon.
Woodley roared: “You had a lot to say in the locker room, let’s fight.
“I wanna hear what [Jake Paul] gotta say about it. You wanna fight me? He could fight me.
“I’ll fight in MMA, because I wanna elbow his ass. I don’t want no little boxing, the p**fy gloves.
