Paul comes into the fight with three wins in as many fights, all by knockout.
But so far he has faced only  online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.
His return against Woodley will provide the biggest challenge in Paul’s boxing career to date.

Nevertheless, the social media sensation has predicted a sensational first-round KO.
Paul told Sky Sports: “Honestly after this camp, I said three [rounds] and now I’m thinking, max two.
“But to be honest, something in my heart tells me that it’s going to be another one round fight.
“As crazy as that sounds. I think it’s going to be a very short night for Tyron.”

The Chosen One got some work in with Floyd Mayweather ahead of his clash with the Youtuber
Although he didn’t have a prolonged period of time training under the former five-weight world champion, Woodley took plenty away from the former pound-for-pound king.
The 39-year-old said of his training with Money: “The times I worked with Floyd [Mayweather], he was very vocal.
“You couldn’t do nothing wrong. And that’s what makes him so great.
“In MMA we over-do it a lot, but it doesn’t always transition into power.
“It doesn’t always transition into accuracy.
“He gave me the foundation of how he beat everyone he did.”

Training with boxing royalty has heaped extra pressure on the battle-tested Woodley, who has had over ten times as many fights as his latest opponent.
And Paul believes the Missouri mauler can have no excuse for coming up short in his professional boxing debut.
The former Disney star said: “Tyron said he’s training like he’s fighting Mike Tyson.
“Mayweather is training him and you can tell he’s in shape. He’s got the six-pack back. He’s looking good. He’s not messing around.
“This is his biggest fight ever and the whole MMA community is counting on him to represent them and to get the ‘W’.
“Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen.
“And when I beat him, there will be no excuses because he was being trained by Mayweather.

“Because Jorge Masvidal said he was going to knock me out. Because he took this camp and had a 14-week camp. He has no excuses.
“I love boxing. I fell in love with it. There’s something about knocking someone out and cracking someone in the face.
“My whole life has been a fight. I never got anything handed to me so I feel like I’m at home.
“I feel like I was put on this earth to fight. And I like challenges. I’m driven by challenges.”
Despite not having tasted victory in over three years, Woodley is confident of having his hand raised in Paul’s hometown.
During an appearance on The MMA Hour, he said: “I’m here to f***ing takeover.
“You’re gonna see Jake Paul get hurt in a way you’d never imagine.

“He may not want to do this again after this.
“This was my lifestyle before it became a sport, before it became a career.

White responded in hilarious fashion to the YouTuber’s commentsCredit: Getty
Hitting out at White ‘discrediting what I’m doing’, Paul was asked how they will settle the score.
He said: “I think it ends with me running into him in a club in Vegas and knocking him the f*** out.”
And White has responded in brilliant fashion by welcoming the showdown – but told Paul to join the back of the queue.
Playing on the fact the wannabe boxer has only fought YouTubers and veteran sports stars way past their prime for big money, White could not resist a cheeky dig.
Speaking after UFC on ESPN 30, he said: “It actually makes sense.
“I’m 52-years-old. I’m in the age bracket of guys he fights, so yeah, I could see him wanting to fight me. It’s all he fights are 50-year-olds.

“Let me tell you what, get in line. There are plenty of people who would like to assault me.
“Get in line. It’s a long f***ing line, buddy. You’re going to be waiting for a while.
“No, it doesn’t bother me. This is the business we’re in. I say it all the time about the fighters, too.
“We are not in the nice guy business. This is a very mean business. I say many mean things about people, too. It’s just part of this game. It’s all good.”
White and Paul previously clashed over how little the UFC chief pays his fighters as well as the latter’s chances against Conor McGregor.
The Problem Child was even threatened with legal action by White if he tries to arrange a boxing bout with a current UFC fighter.

However, Paul steps back into the ring against former UFC welterweight king Tyron Woodley tonight – and faces his toughest challenge yet.

YouTube star Jake Paul sent Conor McGregor a message on Instagram urging him to ‘take the fight pussy’ after $50m offer

JAKE PAUL continued his relentless pursuit of a boxing match with Conor McGregor by direct messaging the UFC superstar on Instagram. The YouTuber revealed his eagerness to take on McGregor a few days after scoring a sensational second-round KO victory over Nate Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s exhibition bout with Roy Jones Jr late last year.
Jake Paul slid into Conor McGregor’s direct messages on Instagram
Jake Paul launched a foul-mouthed tirade at Conor McGregor earlier this week
And back in July, the 24-year-old doubled down on his desire to box McGregor in a foul-mouthed tirade on Instagram, in which he claimed his team have sent the UFC’s poster boy a whopping £37million ($50million) offer.
McGregor refrained from responding to the x-rated call-out, in which Paul made derogatory comments about the Irishman’s fiancee, Dee Devlin.
And in another attempt to get the former two-division UFC champion’s attention Paul – whose older brother Logan stepped in the ring with Floyd Mayweather – sent a short and sweet direct message to The Notorious on Instagram.
Paul’s message read: “Take the fight pussy.”

After sharing his DM to McGregor, Paul launched a blistering rant at UFC president Dana White, who revealed he was willing to let women’s bantamweight and featherweight queen Amanda Nunes fight the former Disney star.
He said: “Alright, Dana, let me try to understand your logic here: So you’re saying you don’t want me to fight Conor McGregor because he’s one of the greatest fighters in the world and I’m just like a YouTuber of whatever.
“But then, in a statement today, you say: ‘Oh, I’m thinking about just having Amanda Nunes knock him out.’ But she’s also one of the greatest.
“Dana, you seem to have this thing where you sort of hate on videogamers or YouTubers and influencers and us boxing and all this stuff.
“But then, you spend half your time hanging out with the Nelk Boys. And I know why. It’s because they have hella influence over the male audience and you know that’s gonna promote the UFC.
“And right now, baby, there’s nobody in this f***ing world who is promoting the UFC as much as me.
Tens of millions of views, number one search result on Google when you type in Conor McGregor, when you type in UFC, when you type in Dana White. So you’re not making sense here.
“Dana, I know the world doesn’t really know this because the UFC is this huge company. But we all know it’s not doing that well.
Jake Paul knocked out Nate Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s exhibition bout with Roy Jones JrCredit: AP:Associated Press
“Anyone who is involved in WME and all the public stocks and everything that went south there, we know the company is not doing well. And I’m the biggest money fight you can do unless Khabib comes out of retirement.
“So if you want the UFC to make the most amount of money, you better start to wake the f**k up and realise that Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor is going to happen at some point.”
Paul’s rant at White came shortly after he ambushed McGregor’s team-mate Dillon Danis and pelted him with water balloons.
Paul may very well be a combat sports novice, but he’s well and truly at the centre of the boxing and MMA worlds at this moment in time.

Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley fight purse – how much are YouTuber and ex-UFC champion making for huge Ohio fight

JAKE PAUL and Tyron Woodley are set to receive fight purses that are ‘in the millions’, it has been revealed. Formerly athletic commissions, for example Nevada, would confirm how much fighters were due to make.

California and Arizona are among states that still provide access to fighter pay, but it is becoming otherwise more secretive.
And that will be the case when YouTube star Paul, 24, and ex-UFC champion Woodley, 39, fight over the weekend.
The pair headline at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio, in an eight-round boxing match.
Woodley’s manager Malki Kawa did reveal the MMA veteran is in line for a career-high payday, more than anything he made in the cage.
Kawa told MMAFighting: “Yeah, he’s getting paid really well. It’s one of the best deals I’ve ever done. It’s a tremendous deal.
“He’s getting a large base number, he’s getting a cut of the pay-per-view globally.

“He should walk away with a multi-million dollar payday.
“His base guarantee is in the millions already, but add on all the other extra stuff, it’s a really nice payday.”
Woodley, 39, as UFC champ would receive a slice of any PPV he featured on, but his biggest purse was around £430,000 against Darren Till, 28, in 2018.
Paul, 24, was guaranteed £500,000 in his last fight, a knockout of retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37, in April.
But he claimed 1.4m PPVs were sold and with his cut of the box office, his total earnings were said to have soured into the millions.
Even UFC legend Jon Jones, 34, tweeted to congratulate Paul and hinted at the true amount made.
Jones posted in a now-deleted tweet: “Jake Paul congratulations on your victory, that knockout over Ben was absolutely beautiful.
“If you’re seriously making over 5 million for a fight already, that’s wild. I’m so happy for you.
“Wishing you all the best on your combat sports journey.”
How Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley compare ahead of their boxing match
Woodley’s manager confirmed Paul will receive a bigger margin on the PPV sales, meaning his overall pay would be a career-high.
Kawa said: “We just got to a point where we felt comfortable with it.
“And Jake is probably making the lion’s share of the money, which he is, but nonetheless, it’s a really good payday for him.”

It erupted after Woodley’s mum confronted one of Paul’s entourage
Footage posted online shows a member of Paul’s entourage being approached by Woodley’s mother who starts shouting at him.
He looks unfazed before the camera turns to an angry looking Woodley who is trying to reach the rowing pair.
A separate scuffle takes place nearby as a man falls to the ground.
Several attendees then try to keep the peace with calls of ‘chill’ and ‘relax’ before security officials move in as it appears most people in the room are involved.

After a victory over Ben Askren last time out, social media star turned 3-0 boxer Paul now faces Woodley.

During Wednesday’s session, he raised one fist to the crowd before a workout on the pads.
Whoever loses Sunday’s fight will have an ‘I love’ tattoo featuring the victor’s name inked on their body.
And the veteran has insisted that he is not fighting Paul to take some punches, hit the canvas, and cash his cheque.

Motivated Tyron Woodley under pressure to beat Jake Paul but won’t freeze against YouTuber, says UFC great Bisping

TYRON WOODLEY is under immense ‘pressure’ to win his professional boxing debut against Jake Paul, former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping believes. The future UFC Hall-of-Famer will lock horns with the YouTuber turned boxer early on Monday morning in Cleveland, Ohio.

And former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping believes Woodley is under immense ‘pressure’ going into the fight.
Woodley, 39, enters his maiden boxing match with the weight of the MMA world on his shoulders following four consecutive losses and his good friend Ben Askren’s KO defeat to The Problem Child.
But Bisping likes what he’s seen of the Missouri mauler’s preparations for the bout, telling SunSport: “He does look motivated. But I think that’s because he’s feeling the pressure.
“Of course, he had a great career as champion and in the UFC he was a phenomenal fighter.
“I would assume he’ll be in the Hall-of-Fame one day, but he’s lost his last four.
“I did see some interviews a while ago. He fell into the trap that a lot of fighters do, a lot of athletes do, with overspending money and things like that.
“I’m not sure of his financial situation, I’m sure he’s OK. But this is all he knows.

“And he’s probably training like a madman because he’s feeling the pressure.
“And there’s a little bit of assumption on my end because I don’t know his financial situation.
“But I don’t think it’s a wild theory to have. He’s even spoken about this himself.
“So he needs this. He needs to be successful. So, therefore, he’s pushing himself accordingly.
“But with all of that, that brings a lot of pressure.”
In his final forays into the octagon, Woodley looked a shell of the man who struck fear into the hearts of the UFC’s 170-pounders during his championship reign.
He does look motivated. But I think that’s because he’s feeling the pressure.Michael Bisping on Tyron Woodley’s clash with Jake Paul
But with the eyes of the entire combat sports world firmly fixed on him, Bisping expects to see the Chosen One return to his old gunslinging ways.
The Count said: “Now as we all know, pressure, it can form diamonds.
“F**king the most cliche thing ever. But you know what I’m saying.
“He could go out there and rise to the challenge and put on the performance of a lifetime.
“He might leave Jake Paul flat out, face down on the canvas.
“Or it might make him freeze, you know? I don’t think it will, I think we’re gonna see him [perform].

How Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley compare ahead of their boxing match
“Because in the Vicente Luque fight, he went out there and I think he felt the pressure and he started off hard.
“But that was part of his demise. He came out too fast, too hot.”
Lucrative payday aside, Woodley is in somewhat of a lose-lose situation as he should beat combat novice Paul.
And although Woodley is the underdog against the 3-0 Paul, Bisping reckons the expectation of victory will weigh heavy on the MMA vet.
He said: “It is a tough spot for Tyron Woodley. Because think about it, again: Tyron Woodley the former champion.
“He used to proclaim to be one of the greatest of all time. Certainly one of the best welterweight champions that we did have, to be fair.
Jake Paul is cutting no corners with his diet
“He should, on paper, beat this guy. So that again brings pressure. There’s so much pressure for Tyron.
“”And on the flipside for Jake Paul, it’s just like, ‘Well, I’m supposed to lose.”

Conor McGregor’s career will ‘come to a tumbling stop’ if UFC star fights Jake Paul, YouTuber’s boxing trainer says

CONOR McGREGOR was warned his career will ‘come to a tumbling stop’ if he fights Jake Paul. YouTuber Paul has continued to target a boxing match with McGregor, who was beaten on his ring debut against Floyd Mayweather in 2017.

The social media sensation is currently 3-0, all by knockout, and faces his biggest challenge to date in ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, next.
Former two-weight UFC king McGregor, 33, and boxing’s current pound-for-pound No1 were recently named on Paul’s ‘hit-list’ of opponents.
And while his trainer BJ Flores admitted Mexican superstar Canelo is deemed not up for discussion, the UFC’s top talent are.
Flores told The W.A.D.E Concept: “Canelo Alvarez is not on our radar, but I like Jake’s enthusiasm for believing he can beat the big names.
“But Conor he better not fight Jake I will tell you that now. His career will come to a tumbling stop if he fights him, I guarantee that.
“But there is plenty of other MMA fights and names that would probably give Jake a better fight.
“We will see which name makes sense for Jake including some pretty big names in MMA, I don’t go easy on Jake.”
    Jake Paul’s boxing ‘hit-list’

McGregor flirted with a return to the ring, last year entering negotiations with Manny Pacquiao.
But after he was knocked out in January by Dustin Poirier – the man he initially beat in 2014 – talks with Pacquiao, 42, collapsed.
McGregor, 33, then lost his trilogy bout with Poirier, 32, after suffering a horror leg break seconds before the first round ended.
He has since undergone surgery and is already training but will need to complete his six-month medical suspension.
Meanwhile Paul, who has wins over online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37, returns to the ring on the weekend.
