Logan Paul says ‘I know who my next opponent is’ but UFC legend Anderson Silva is ‘probably not’ in YouTuber’s future

LOGAN PAUL said ‘I know who my next opponent is’… and it is not Anderson Silva. The YouTuber was in talks with Silva earlier in the summer, before the Brazilian instead fought fellow UFC legend Tito Ortiz in the boxing ring.

He knocked out Ortiz, 46, in round one and afterwards opened the door to fighting Paul, 26, or his younger brother Jake, 24.
But Silva, 46, will not be the latest man to fight Paul, who told True Geordie: “I know who my next opponent is.”
He then confirmed it was a real fighter, opposed to a celebrity, following his two fights with online rival KSI.
Paul has not ruled out one day fighting Silva, who recently beat ex-boxing champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, 35, but has more lucrative options.
He explained: “Anderson does look good, he’s kind of leading the charge.
“Tito looked like f***ing s***. Vitor Belfort looked like f***ing s*** I don’t want to be a full on professional boxer.

“I literally have no interest in doing that. I have an interest in putting on the biggest shows in the world and Vitor Belfort is not that.
“Anderson is still not that. It’s more interesting, but here’s why, here’s what I have to weigh, ready?
“How good is the guy and how much are they bringing to the table.
“Anderson is very good as a boxer and he doesn’t bring that much to the table.
“It’s risk-reward, it’s a f***ing business. Bro, would I fight Anderson Silva? Yes. Do I think I can beat him? Yes. Am I going to? Probably not.”
Paul in 2018 drew in an exhibition against KSI, 28, but lost the rematch by split-decision a year later.
It’s risk-reward, it’s a f***ing business. Bro, would I fight Anderson Silva? Yes. Do I think I can beat him? Yes. Am I going to? Probably not.”Logan Paul on Anderson Silva
He then returned this June in a similar exhibition against boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, 44, and survived all eight rounds.
And he claimed if it had been a regular 12 round fight, then he would have spectacularly knocked out and become the first to ever beat Mayweather.
Paul said: “My conditioning is f***ing good, bro. If the fight went 10 or 12 rounds, I think I would knock him out. I say that in full conviction.
“I saw him breathing heavy for the first time that eighth round and it was because I had been leaning on him.
“I’m 30 pounds heavier. Like no matter how you cut it, me leaning on a guy that size is gonna get him tired no matter how good he is.
“I was coming alive too. That’s what we trained for, we sparred for 12 rounds. I’m probably throwing 120 punches by the 12th round.
“My conditioning is good, I had a little ‘uhh’ in the fourth round then second wind came in.”

Jake Paul’s advisor says only WWE star Brock Lesnar can compare to YouTuber’s rise in fight game after just four bouts

BROCK LESNAR is the only fighter to rival Jake Paul’s rise in the fight game, the YouTuber’s advisor stated. American Paul is 4-0 as a boxer and has featured in two headline pay-per-view events.

The last was a points win in his home of Cleveland against ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, over eight rounds.
It added to knockouts over online rival ‘AnEsonGib, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, both 37.
Paul, 24, has quickly become one of the most talked about fighters since his professional debut only 20 months ago.
And his advisor Nakisa Bidarian, also founder of talent firm BAVAFA Sport, said only Lesnar’s leap from WWE to UFC is comparable.
Bidarian told SunSport: “The truth is, the only combat sports star in history that’s had the same success out the gate that Jake has, is Brock Lesnar.
“Jake came with an instal base of fans but they were not pay-per-view purchasers.

BETTING SPECIAL – GET JOSHUA TO WIN IN ROUNDS 1-6 AT 60/1 OR ANYTIME AT 25/1
“Brock had been a pay-per-view star in a different entertainment product.
“His fans were used to purchasing his content, so I think what Jake is doing is ahead of any other fighter, to be honest.
“You can love him or hate him, but you have to respect him and really see how strong this movement is.”
Lesnar, 44, debuted in the UFC in 2008 and in the same year, in his third promotional fight, he won the heavyweight belt.
After seven UFC fights, he then left and in 2012 returned to the UFC, fighting in the octagon once more, a brief cameo in 2016.
By then, Conor McGregor was the new face of the company during a period where Bidarian served as a UFC executive.
The truth is, the only combat sports star in history that’s had the same success out the gate that Jake has, is Brock Lesnar. Jake Paul’s advisor Nakisa Bidarian
And he watched as McGregor, 33, became the biggest attraction in combat sports.
But that followed after years of the Irishman building his brand back home before making a splash Stateside.
Bidarian still remembers the night McGregor returned to Dublin in 2014 in a sell-out before knocking out Diego Brandao.
And Paul’s homecoming in August against Woodley gave off a familiar feeling.
Bidarian said: “By the time Conor came to the UFC he had already been a champion in a smaller regional promotion.
“He had kind of like 14 fights of building his support within that market. I think it was his third fight in the UFC that he headlined in Dublin.

“That was an unbelievable night, the energy was amazing and that was really the first time that he headlined a card and really owned the conversation.
“Look at Jake, he went into his fourth fight ever, his first fight he wasn’t a headliner, he was co-main, second fight no audience, third fight no audience.
“So it was his first headliner with fans and I felt the same energy in Cleveland that we had in Dublin that night.
“So it definitely gave me some level of similarity.”
Bidarian confirmed Paul plans to return by the end of the year and is in talks with four fighters, including Tommy Fury, 22.
Fury, who won on Paul’s undercard last month, is at the top of the list despite rejecting two offers already.
Bidarian said: “I definitely think there’s two other fighters specifically that are bigger fights for Jake.

“But there’s also a feeling from Jake’s side that listen, there’s always this constant chatter of, ‘Fight a boxer’.
“So Jake’s view of it is, I brought this guy [Fury] to my card, he tried to come into the ring, he hung out backstage to try and stir the pot.
“This is the perfect next step for me.”

Reported pay-per-view numbers revealed the fight sold just under the 500,000 mark while the 16,000-seat Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse was sold out.
Paul boasted about how his dedication to boxing has seen him receive at least $10MILLION for each of his fights.
He told the Daily Mail: “It’s eight-figure paydays. The money is great, the business is great, it is.
“I work blood, sweat, and tears in the gym, but this is a product of working day in and day out since I was 17 years old.”

But Paul recently moved from his California mansion to the boxing nation of Puerto Rico, to avoid the distractions of Los Angeles and focus on training.
He first began boxing in 2018, winning an exhibition in Manchester against British YouTuber ‘Deji’.
The same night, his brother Logan drew against Deji’s brother, KSI – real name Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji.
Logan, 26, then turned professional a year later losing to KSI, 28, in their LA rematch by split-decision.
A year later, Paul, 24, followed suit and beat online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, a friend of KSI’s, on his pro debut.
He went on to then knock out ex-NBA star Nate Robinson and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, both 37, before his win against Woodley, 39.
Paul he been training throughout the three years non-stop and has become a polarising figure among boxing and MMA fans.
His years as a controversial content creator whose pranks found himself in trouble with the law appear to now be over thanks to his venture into boxing.
Paul explained: “The internet is a ruthless place where you’re never really held accountable for your actions.
“This sport can save my life and I’m sure it can save others.”

Jake Paul says ‘idiot’ Conor McGregor may have ‘mistook’ Machine Gun Kelly for him after UFC star’s row at VMA’s

JAKE PAUL has heard ‘idiot’ Conor McGregor may have ‘mistook’ Machine Gun Kelly for him after the MTV Video Music Awards bust-up. McGregor hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons after he was captured exchanging words on the red carpet with rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

Then, he even threw a drink at the artist, who was joined by his partner Megan Fox.
YouTuber-turned boxer Paul, who has long been calling out McGregor, is a friend of Machine Gun Kelly’s.
And the 24-year-old heard the scuffle may have been a case of mistaken identity.
He said on ESPN: “Some people are saying that Conor McGregor mistook him for me because we look the same, like blonde hair, little bit tall.
“That was like the rumour that happened, I think it’s hilarious.
“Conor McGregor is a real fighter, why is he on a celebrity red carpet throwing drinks at Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly? It’s just disrespectful.

“But Kells handled himself like a professional, he didn’t get hot, he didn’t retaliate because I think he knows that Conor just looked like an idiot.
“This guy is falling apart and trying to find any reason to get attention.”
McGregor, 33, attended the awards with a walking cane as he continues to nurse the broken tibia suffered against Dustin Poirier, 32, in July.
He is already training ahead of his expected return next year and even invited Machine Gun Kelly to his comeback fight.

McGregor told Adam’s Apple: “It’s all good. Come to the next fight.
“They’re more than [welcome]. Come watch me perform any time. I’ll perform no problem.

UFC chief Dana White trashes ‘silly’ Triller event after Evander Holyfield’s comeback and Anderson Silva’s brutal KO

UFC president Dana White has torn into Triller following Evander Holyfield’s horrific comeback fight against Vitor Belfort. The former undisputed cruiserweight champion returned to the ring last weekend aged 58 against a revitalised Belfort.

The Real Deal – who sparked concerns for his well-being during his open workouts – looked a shell of his old self and was stopped in just under two minutes.
The latest Triller Fight Club event also saw future UFC Hall of Famer Anderson Silva record a brutal first-round KO over Tito Ortiz, but the event left a bad taste in White’s mouth.
He said: “Guys, let me put it to you this way: anybody who is f*****g dumb enough and willing to pay and watch these f****n’ fights, Anderson Silva boxed Tito Ortiz.
“[He] boxed Tito Ortiz. Tito Ortiz has no business f****n’ boxing anybody.
“Tito’s 40-f****n’ something years old, Evander Holyfield is almost 60 years old and he’s f*****g fighting.
“It’s silly. All of it’s silly, and there’s always gonna be a certain number of people that are dumb enough to buy these fights and pay for them.”

White, however, was impressed by former middleweight king Silva’s destruction of Ortiz, so much so he claimed The Spider might be the greatest fighter in combat sports history.
He said: “Anderson Silva, we honestly need to start talking again about this guy as the GOAT.
“Not Tito, because he knocked Tito out in 40 f****n’ seconds, but he did to Tito exactly what should be done to Tito.
“Knocking Tito out in 40 seconds is what should’ve happened in that fight. Anderson Silva beat Julio Chavez Jr., at, what, 46?
“At 46 f****n’ years old, he left this sport where he was considered one of the greatest of all-time, possibly even the greatest of all-time, goes out, beats Chavez Jr in a boxing match, then goes and knocks Tito out in 40 seconds.
“And, you know how I feel about Tito personally, Tito can’t box.

“He’s a horrible boxer and that’s why I said I would box him, but the other thing about Tito is when he fought here, Tito had a good chin.
“Tito took big shots from a lot of guys who hit hard. Anderson Silva knocked him out in 40 seconds.
“Anderson Silva might actually be the GOAT of combat sports.”

Paul, 24, agreed to box The Chosen One again if he honoured the pre-fight bet by getting ‘I love Jake Paul’ tattooed on his skin.
Woodley, 39, has yet to get the tatt but believes the former Disney star has no intention of fighting him again.
The Missouri mauler told MMA Fighting: “It went from, ‘Get the tattoo, and it’s a rematch,’ to ‘get the tattoo and we’ll think about a rematch,’ to, ‘Oh, he didn’t get the tattoo, so there’s no rematch.’
“It sounds like he’s just f**king scared to fight.
“He knows he squeaked out by the hair on his chinny chin, chin; a lot of people thought he lost the fight. He got saved by the ropes.
“Man, s**t, if I was him, maybe I’d just run off into the wind, as well.

“But if he’s sitting there acting like that’s not why we’re doing the fight, he’s a f*****g liar.”
Woodley is desperate to settle the score with the younger Paul brother but admits the ball is well and truly not in his court.
He added: “I can’t make another man fight me.
“At the end of the day, I’m not going to beg another man to fight me.
“But if you’re looking at a prizefighting sport that’s talking about me making money, me and Jake might go down as having the fourth overall pay-per-view.
“Nobody wants to watch no damn Tommy Fury. They saw us fight already, there’s some controversy.
“It sounds like he’s just f**king scared to fightTyron Woodley on Jake Paul moving on from a potential rematch
    “Some people thought I won.
“Some people thought there was controversy that I haven’t even brought up yet, that we were like, ‘Ah, that wasn’t in the original agreement.’ I still feel like it’s unresolved.
“This is the beginning of a trilogy, and no other fight option that he has is going to do what we did with just organic drama.”
Paul’s sights are currently set on a bout with UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal, a contest that was recently shut down by president Dana White.
The YouTuber recently issued an ultimatum of the UFC big-wig, writing on Twitter: ‘”Anderson’s out… JAKE JAKE JAKE.’
“I want your star talent. Your ‘in their prime’ strikers so I can exploit their lack of Boxing ability.

JAKE PAUL has claimed UFC president Dana White won’t allow Jorge Masvidal to fight him because he’s ‘scared to get embarrassed.’The Problem Child has been pursuing a boxing match with Gamebred ever since the UFC welterweight tipped him to lose his clash with Tyron Woodley.

The attached note read: “‘Anderson’s out… JAKE JAKE JAKE.’
“I want your star talent. Your ‘in their prime’ strikers so I can exploit their lack of Boxing ability.

Paul, 24, hasn’t been shy in voicing his stance on fighter pay in the UFC, taking White and the company to task on social media and in several interviews.
Last month, he said: “It’s something I’m bullish on and something that needs to change.
“For my fight, when we were building out the undercard, I was like, ‘We need to make sure this fight, these fighters, every single person on this card gets paid the most they ever got paid to fight.’
“I just want to spread the wealth and be about my words and put action behind my words and be the change instead of just talking about the change.”

Paul was last in action in August against former UFC 170lb king Woodley, whom he defeated via split decision in his home state of Ohio.
And he’s hellbent on his next outing be a grudge match with Masvidal, who he trained with in Miami ahead of his clash with Ben Askren.
When asked about his next fight, he told MMA Fighting: “I mean honestly just from a personal standpoint, I would love for it to be Masvidal.
“Just cause of the sh*t talk. Just cause of his name.
“Just cause he’s still in his prime era and there’s a lot of personal beef there. I just took out his boy Tyron.

“But hopefully Dana [White] would let him out of his contract but we’re not sure if that can happen.
“But for me personally, I think that would be the toughest challenge, the toughest guy and the biggest name.
The most relevant currently. I think that’s the one to make. I think it will happen at some point regardless, but that’s at the top of my list for sure.”

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury in talks over sensational boxing fight but YouTuber has three other offers

JAKE PAUL is in confirmed talks with Tommy Fury, but also has three other options for his next fight. Paul is already set to start training again and is in discussion with his management team to find his next move.

It comes after the YouTuber moved to 4-0 in late August by beating ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, on points over eight rounds.
On the undercard, 2019 Love Island star Fury, brother to heavyweight champion Tyson, beat Paul’s sparring partner Anthony Taylor, 32.
With the pair both currently signed to American network Showtime, Frank Warren revealed negotiations for the celebrity clash are underway.
Promoter Warren told iFL TV: “We are talking at the moment, so hopefully something may happen, we’ll see. There’s a long way to go yet.”
Paul, 24, recently said Fury, 22, who is 7-0, was his priority next opponent as he wanted to fight a ‘real boxer’.
But the social media sensation has now told of his other talks with ex-UFC champions Anderson Silva, 46, and Vitor Belfort, 44.

Paul told MMA Fighting: “We’re talking to four different parties, four different fighters, and seeing which one makes the most sense.”
He later added: “The obvious ones that are on the table, it’s like Tommy, Anderson, there is a discussion with Vitor’s team.
“Just because we are so close to Triller, they’re just pingining us all the time, but there’s some names that are interesting that are more complicated.
“I just don’t want to jinx anything.”
Silva recently knocked out Tito Ortiz, 46, also formerly of the UFC, to add to his win in the ring against boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, 35.
In the main-event that night, Belfort stopped the dangerously ageing and over-the hill Evander Holyfield, 58.
Afterwards, Triller – who promoted two of Paul’s fights – offered him a winner-takes-all $30million fight with the Brazilian.
Paul, who would need permission to feature on Triller from Showtime, is open to the wager, but wants proof of funds first.
    Jake Paul’s boxing ‘hit-list’
He said: “I think Vitor is a lot easier of a fight than Tyron.
“He’s older, he’s on steroids and such. It doesn’t excite me as much. The money excited me.
“If they were to put the money in a bank account – an escrow account – and show proof, then maybe that’s where the conversation starts.”
