But the 24-year-old could be about to knock his ‘boxing career’ on the head before it has even really started.
Speaking after the contest, Paul was asked what’s next and said: “Honestly, we’ll see. I’ve been boxing for 18 months now.
“I haven’t been to the dentist, I barely got my hair cut in the last two years.
“My teeth are crooked, my nose is crooked. I’ve dedicated the last 18 months to this. I haven’t stopped,
“I think I might need to chill out for a second and figure out who I am. I’m only 24, I’m changing, I’m growing, I’m learning a lot.
“I’m going through ups and downs and I’m making mistakes. But I’m keeping my head straight and we’ll see.”

Despite Paul’s apparent hesitance to return to the ring, Woodley demanded a rematch saying he won the fight.
The judges scored it 77-75, 79-74, 75-77 in Paul’s favour.
And the former MMA star blasted: “I feel like if that was the second biggest pay-per-view, then round two is gonna be bigger than that.
“I feel like I won the fight. I feel like Jake’s a great opponent. That’s why I came in great shape.
“The fact that one judge gave me two rounds is laughable. No disrespect, but f**k that Fury fight, me and Jake need to run that back.”
And after previously hinting he would step away from the ring, hot-headed Paul seemed to have a change of heart when he hit back.
Referring to a bet in which the loser of the fight had to get a tattoo declaring their love for the winner, he retorted: “If you get the tattoo, I love Jake Paul, let’s run it back,”
    Woodley replied: “Bet. Let’s go.”

Paul added: “Get the tattoo and we’ll run it back. We got the tattoo artist right here, so you ain’t going nowhere.
“Wipe the sweat off and shave that leg, because I’m fucking putting I love Jake Paul on your leg and we can run it back.”

Jake Paul scores biggest win as pro boxer with split-decision over ex-UFC champ Tyron Woodley after overcoming KO scare

JAKE PAUL scored his biggest win as a professional boxer by beating Tyron Woodley – but had to overcome a scare or two. The YouTuber-turned prizefighter boxed his way to a points win over eight-rounds against Woodley, who was UFC champion only three years ago.

At times the cruiserweight attraction lacked intensity and quality, but was gripping throughout.
Paul, criticised for not facing stern enough competition, showed off a smart range finding jab, distance control and composure over the distance.
But Woodley was guilty of letting the fight slip away round by round, not showing enough urgency.
After the fight went all the way, the judges scored it a split-decision, with Paul declared the winner in his home of Cleveland, Ohio.
He said: “I don’t know what to say – he was a tough opponent and he’s been fighting for so many years and I’m still new to this.
“My legs felt weird, I wasn’t sure what was wrong with me. All respect to Tyron though.

He’s a Hall of Famer and put up a good fight. I have nothing but respect for him. There’s no hard feelings.
“This feels amazing to do this for my city and it’s a dream come true.”
The opening bell saw Woodley, 39, rush out the corner and lunge in with a big overhand right, which was easily telegraphed.
Paul, 24, implemented feints early on and utilised a smart jab, even landing a three-punch combination to cap off a cagey opener.
In the second, the social media sensation boxed largely on the back foot behind a jab, with Woodley threatening, but not attacking.

The ex-UFC welterweight’s reluctance to let his hands go saw Paul take control, also landing a combo to head and body before the bell sounded.
Woodley did find home with a big right hand to open the third round, which prompted three punches coming back his way.
Paul then scored with a right uppercut, the most eye-catching shot of the fight up until that point.
Heading into the fourth and a pattern was starting to build until Woodley rocked Paul and sprung the fight into life.
A big right hand over the top, and a left hook had the celebrity former vlogger hurt for the first time in his boxing career and sent into the ropes.

Woodley decided to then gesture to the crowd as Paul managed to see out the round and overcome adversity in the ring for the first time.
The fifth round picked up where the last left off, as Woodley landed a right uppercut, followed by a rear hand down the middle.
Paul ended the round punching back but it was clear the tide was threatening to turn.
Both fighters looked to be slowing down by the sixth, prompting Paul to let his hands go but nothing landed.
He was still feeling it by round seven but managed to control the distance with a smart jab while Woodley postured and feinted but did not throw.

Paul finished the round with a right hand over the top to assert himself on top once more.
And he did a good job in seeing out the final round by circling around the ring and staying out of distance to take the fight to the cards.
After a split-decision was announced, both men were mythed, with Woodley aggressively calling for a rematch.
He said: “I feel like I won the fight. Jake is a great opponent. I didn’t expect him to eat my punches like that.
“But the fact that one judge only gave me two rounds is insane. Forget that Tommy Fury fight. Let’s run that back.

“Nobody is going to sell the pay-per-view like we did. The ropes held him up when I hit him. I could have had that knockdown.
“I walked him down and landed back time and time again. I landed power punches, he missed shots all night.”
Both fighters made a bet that the loser would have to get the winner’s name tattooed on them afterwards.
And Paul, who moved to 4-0, insisted if Woodley went through with it, a rematch was his.
He replied: “Get the tattoo and we’ll run it back. We got the tattoo artist right here, so you ain’t going nowhere.
“Wipe the sweat off and shave that leg, because I’m fucking putting I love Jake Paul on your leg and we can run it back.”

Jake Paul shows off ELECTRONIC shorts as UFC star Dustin Poirier visits YouTuber backstage before Tyron Woodley fight

JAKE PAUL showed off his ELECTRONIC shorts while Dustin Poirier visited the YouTuber backstage before his fight with Tyron Woodley. Paul faces ex-UFC champion Woodley in his home of Cleveland, Ohoi, and paid homage to his boyhood NFL side.
Jake Paul showed off his electronic shorts
Dustin Poirier visited the YouTuber Jake Paul backstage
The social media sensation wore orange and brown shorts representing American football team Cleveland Browns.
But what quite literally caught everyones eyes was the electronics on the belt line of his shorts, which just read Paul in led lights.
The American, who is 3-0 all by knockout, was earlier in the night visited by UFC lightweight Poirier.
MMA fans vented their frustration, believing the former interim champion had pledged his allegiance to Paul.
But in reality, he also visited Woodley, 39, with the pair formerly sharing the same American Top Team gym.
Poirier, 32, tweeted: “I went tell both guys good luck.”

Paul, 24, comes into the fight unbeaten but has so far faced only limited opposition.
That includes online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.
His return against Woodley will provide the biggest challenge in Paul’s boxing career to date.
Nevertheless, the social media sensation has predicted a sensational first-round KO.
Paul told Sky Sports: “Honestly after this camp, I said three [rounds] and now I’m thinking, max two.
“But to be honest, something in my heart tells me that it’s going to be another one round fight.
“As crazy as that sounds. I think it’s going to be a very short night for Tyron.”

Tommy Fury tells Jake Paul there is ‘no hiding’ from fight as Love Island star calls out rival after Anthony Taylor win

And Taylor, a 7-5 MMA fighter with only one prior boxing bout which he lost, did not provide any real test.
Fury won all four rounds convincingly but was unable to get the knockout thanks to the holding and unorthodox style of his American opponent.
Still the British light-heavyweight moved to 7-0 and used the uneventful display to entice and convince Paul into a grudge match.
Fury said: “Looking at that, Jake Paul, you should have an easy night mate, shouldn’t you?
“There’s no excuses now. You’ve seen everybody, I’ve had the biggest cheer in the place.
“There’s no excuses, no running, no hiding. I want you next, you bum. Let’s get it on.”

Fury, 22, already signed a two-fight deal with US powerhouse Showtime before he made his Stateside debut.
The network also have Paul recently tied down to a lucrative deal and talk of a fight between them in their next fights had already taken place.
But Paul, 24, first needed to beat ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39, in his fourth and toughest pro bout to date, which headlined the evening.
Fury, without his father John or older brother Tyson, admitted to underperforming but promised to carry on improving.

He said: “It wasn’t my best performance and everyone will know that.
“But at the end of the day, boxing is the toughest game in the world. If it was easy, everybody in the world would be doing it.
“I’m learning day by day, each session that I have in the gym. I’m getting better. It’s the hardest game in the world and I’m trying my hardest.
“That’s all that I can say.”
Paul later beat Woodley by split decision and hinted afterwards that he will take a rematch before facing Fury.
Paul later won over eight-rounds, but Woodley argued he deserved the win and demanded a rematch.
And he was told it was his – so long as he stayed true to his word and had ‘I love Jake Paul’ inked on him.
Paul said: “If you get the tattoo, I love Jake Paul, let’s run it back,”
Woodley, 39, replied: “Bet. Let’s go.”
Paul added: “Get the tattoo and we’ll run it back. We got the tattoo artist right here, so you ain’t going nowhere.

The Chosen One got some work in with Floyd Mayweather ahead of his clash with the Youtuber
Although he didn’t have a prolonged period of time training under the former five-weight world champion, Woodley took plenty away from the former pound-for-pound king.
The 39-year-old said of his training with Money: “The times I worked with Floyd [Mayweather], he was very vocal.
“You couldn’t do nothing wrong. And that’s what makes him so great.
“In MMA we over-do it a lot, but it doesn’t always transition into power.
“It doesn’t always transition into accuracy.
“He gave me the foundation of how he beat everyone he did.”

Training with boxing royalty has heaped extra pressure on the battle-tested Woodley, who has had over ten times as many fights as his latest opponent.
And Paul believes the Missouri mauler can have no excuse for coming up short in his professional boxing debut.
The former Disney star said: “Tyron said he’s training like he’s fighting Mike Tyson.
“Mayweather is training him and you can tell he’s in shape. He’s got the six-pack back. He’s looking good. He’s not messing around.
“This is his biggest fight ever and the whole MMA community is counting on him to represent them and to get the ‘W’.
“Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen.
“And when I beat him, there will be no excuses because he was being trained by Mayweather.

“Because Jorge Masvidal said he was going to knock me out. Because he took this camp and had a 14-week camp. He has no excuses.
“I love boxing. I fell in love with it. There’s something about knocking someone out and cracking someone in the face.
“My whole life has been a fight. I never got anything handed to me so I feel like I’m at home.
“I feel like I was put on this earth to fight. And I like challenges. I’m driven by challenges.”
Despite not having tasted victory in over three years, Woodley is confident of having his hand raised in Paul’s hometown.
During an appearance on The MMA Hour, he said: “I’m here to f***ing takeover.
“You’re gonna see Jake Paul get hurt in a way you’d never imagine.

Hitting out at White ‘discrediting what I’m doing’, Paul was asked how they will settle the score.
He said: “I think it ends with me running into him in a club in Vegas and knocking him the f*** out.”
And White has responded in brilliant fashion by welcoming the showdown – but told Paul to join the back of the queue.
Playing on the fact the wannabe boxer has only fought YouTubers and veteran sports stars way past their prime for big money, White could not resist a cheeky dig.
Speaking after UFC on ESPN 30, he said: “It actually makes sense.
“I’m 52-years-old. I’m in the age bracket of guys he fights, so yeah, I could see him wanting to fight me. It’s all he fights are 50-year-olds.

“Let me tell you what, get in line. There are plenty of people who would like to assault me.
“Get in line. It’s a long f***ing line, buddy. You’re going to be waiting for a while.
“No, it doesn’t bother me. This is the business we’re in. I say it all the time about the fighters, too.
“We are not in the nice guy business. This is a very mean business. I say many mean things about people, too. It’s just part of this game. It’s all good.”
White and Paul previously clashed over how little the UFC chief pays his fighters as well as the latter’s chances against Conor McGregor.

YouTube star Jake Paul sent Conor McGregor a message on Instagram urging him to ‘take the fight pussy’ after $50m offer

JAKE PAUL continued his relentless pursuit of a boxing match with Conor McGregor by direct messaging the UFC superstar on Instagram. The YouTuber revealed his eagerness to take on McGregor a few days after scoring a sensational second-round KO victory over Nate Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s exhibition bout with Roy Jones Jr late last year.
Jake Paul slid into Conor McGregor’s direct messages on Instagram
Jake Paul launched a foul-mouthed tirade at Conor McGregor earlier this week
And back in July, the 24-year-old doubled down on his desire to box McGregor in a foul-mouthed tirade on Instagram, in which he claimed his team have sent the UFC’s poster boy a whopping £37million ($50million) offer.
McGregor refrained from responding to the x-rated call-out, in which Paul made derogatory comments about the Irishman’s fiancee, Dee Devlin.
And in another attempt to get the former two-division UFC champion’s attention Paul – whose older brother Logan stepped in the ring with Floyd Mayweather – sent a short and sweet direct message to The Notorious on Instagram.
Paul’s message read: “Take the fight pussy.”

After sharing his DM to McGregor, Paul launched a blistering rant at UFC president Dana White, who revealed he was willing to let women’s bantamweight and featherweight queen Amanda Nunes fight the former Disney star.
He said: “Alright, Dana, let me try to understand your logic here: So you’re saying you don’t want me to fight Conor McGregor because he’s one of the greatest fighters in the world and I’m just like a YouTuber of whatever.
“But then, in a statement today, you say: ‘Oh, I’m thinking about just having Amanda Nunes knock him out.’ But she’s also one of the greatest.
“Dana, you seem to have this thing where you sort of hate on videogamers or YouTubers and influencers and us boxing and all this stuff.
“But then, you spend half your time hanging out with the Nelk Boys. And I know why. It’s because they have hella influence over the male audience and you know that’s gonna promote the UFC.
“And right now, baby, there’s nobody in this f***ing world who is promoting the UFC as much as me.
Tens of millions of views, number one search result on Google when you type in Conor McGregor, when you type in UFC, when you type in Dana White. So you’re not making sense here.
“Dana, I know the world doesn’t really know this because the UFC is this huge company. But we all know it’s not doing that well.
Jake Paul knocked out Nate Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s exhibition bout with Roy Jones JrCredit: AP:Associated Press
“Anyone who is involved in WME and all the public stocks and everything that went south there, we know the company is not doing well. And I’m the biggest money fight you can do unless Khabib comes out of retirement.
“So if you want the UFC to make the most amount of money, you better start to wake the f**k up and realise that Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor is going to happen at some point.”
Paul’s rant at White came shortly after he ambushed McGregor’s team-mate Dillon Danis and pelted him with water balloons.
Paul may very well be a combat sports novice, but he’s well and truly at the centre of the boxing and MMA worlds at this moment in time.
