JOHN FURY has responded to “bulls***” claims he could fight on his son Tyson’s undercard. Tyson makes his UK homecoming four years in the making next Saturday in front of over 90,000 at Wembley against Dillian Whyte, 34.

And he said his 57-year-old dad could feature on the undercard which also stars younger brother Tommy, 22.
But the man himself has since denied this – meaning it could be another of Tyson’s famous windups.
John told The Metro: “Total bulls**t. What the hell would they want a 57-year-old fella on the undercard for?
“It’s a young man’s game. We are here to sell fights but this fight doesn’t need selling, especially with the likes of me.

When the fight was announced, Tyson, 33, told Queensberry Promotions: “I’m trying to get John on the undercard, to be honest.
“We’re still working on that. Frank [Warren] is working very hard behind the scenes, it’s not been announced but I’m just going to give you a little sneaky preview.
“Big John, trying to get him on the undercard, so yeah. Don’t be surprised.”

John may not be fighting on Tyson’s undercard but the former boxer will at least be ringside for the first time since 2018.
Due to a prior criminal conviction, he has been unable to travel Stateside to watch his son’s last five fights.
Tyson said: “It’s good that my dad can come to the fight, maybe he’ll be on the undercard starting it.
“He might be too drunk to see the fight by the time he gets in the ring, it’ll be his first victory since the 90s!
“So he might be absolutely blinded by the time it comes about.”

But the WBC have created a commemorative one-off strap to add to the stakes.
The specially-created design includes a Union Jack flag in honour of the all-British bout.
And instead of the classic green-strapped WBC belt, the Union Belt has a sleek white strap that will be wrapped around the waist of either Fury or Whyte.

The champ had claimed that he will retire with £150million in the bank from his career earnings after the bout – whichever way it finishes.
But his father John Fury has laughed off that claim today.
He suggested his son is just on the wind-up and would not know what to do without boxing.
Responding to the retirement talk, Fury Snr said: “Bulls***. Tyson is as mad as a box of frogs, where’s he gonna go without boxing?
“Boxing’s his life… Tyson’s the biggest wind-up merchant in the world, people should know him by now.”

FRANK WARREN has defended the undercard for Tyson Fury’s fight with Dillian Whyte amid fan backlash. Fury defends his WBC heavyweight title against mandatory challenger Whyte with a record-breaking 94,000 set to be in attendance.

But the cost of winning the purse bids at £30.6million -beating Eddie Hearn’s offer of £24m – has left an impact on the supporting cast.
Warren told iFL TV: “We’ve put all our money into the main event, but we’ve got a good fighting undercard.
“There’s a couple of good cracking fights on there. It is what it is. Obviously, it’s a disappointment.

Warren said: “We lost Anthony and we lost Anderson.
“We’re obviously very unhappy about it, but we did the best we could with the fighters that are available to fight at the moment.”
