But he learned bundles from both and returned to his savage best with his second consecutive first-round finish coming against respected Istvan Bernath in Riyadh.
The rising ace said: “A lot of people have been saying I’m not a real prospect.
“But shoot me to the stars, what’s where I belong.
“My power is there and my team told me I had to let my hands go and that’s what happens.

“As long as I avoid injuries I will be wanting to fight again in December, I would fight again tonight if they would let me.”
Itauma first dropped the 10-1 Hungarian with a southpaw jab which he recovered from.
Then the leftie wonderkid, already sponsored by Nike, broke his nose with a rifle of a left hand right down the pipe.
Bernath was buzzed and bashed but Itauma still slashed an uppercut and lead right hook into his temple, before the referee dived in to stop the savagery.

The headline read: “Star wants world’s oldest footy club – Taylor Swift to buy Notts County!”
But any Swifties among the Notts County fanbase were left disappointed after the club’s owners promptly denied it.
In a fun statement on Twitter, using the singer’s song titles, the club’s owners Alex and Chris Reedtz wrote: “As sorry as we are to disappoint the Swiftes in our fanbase, we’re going to have to shake this story off.
“There’s certainly no bad blood between ourselves and Taylor but, at such an exciting time for us and the club, she surely couldn’t have believed in her wildest dreams that we would relinquish our control.

“We’ll leave a blank space in tomorrow’s pre-match playlist for a track from her newly re-released 1989 album as a gesture of gratitude for her interest.”
The club’s Twitter account then took things one step further when it produced a photoshopped image of Taylor Swift’s head superimposed onto the body of one of the ownership duo holding the National League play-off trophy.
The account captioned the image with: “Taylor’s Version”.
Fans on Twitter were entertained and perplexed in equal measure.

Former WBC heavyweight king Wilder took to social media this week to issue a polite call out to his long-time rival, although he’s since changed his tune and branded him mentally “weak”.
The Bronze Bomber told 78SportsTV: “With Anthony, I’ve always felt he had a weak mindset.
“I’ve always felt he wasn’t too confident in himself.
“He needs that affirmation of words to tell himself certain things.

“I been saying that for a long time, and it just continues to seem that way.”
Joshua, 34, has yet to respond to Wilder’s now-viral social media post – much to the annoyance of the American.
He said: “Let me know if Joshua responds if he gets him a little heart, some kind of courage or bravery, and see if we can start brand new.
“It’s about that time now. We can’t wait no more.

“What I mean as a man is a man in the state of boxing.
“You gotta say ‘I’m gonna overcome my fears, I’m gonna make this fight no matter what my promoter might say.’”
Joshua seldom takes part in social media verbal warfare, although he occasionally has responded to Brit rival Tyson Fury.
Wilder, however, interprets the former unified heavyweight champion’s silence as a sign of weakness.
The Alabama slammer said of AJ: “He really don’t wanna fight me.

Shocking video shows supporters throwing a mat over a barrier as police shout at them to ‘get back’.
As the crowd gets larger officers are forced to whip out their batons and one ends up on the ground after being pushed.
Before the clash, Brighton claimed a historic first ever win after welcoming Ajax to the Amex.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side played European greats Ajax off the park as Joao Pedro and fellow summer signing Ansu Fati put an end to their run of five without a win
It comes after video earlier this month showed a Brighton fan on the floor in agony after he was allegedly pushed to the ground by a French cop.
Tensions flared following the Seagulls’ 2-2 draw with Marseille on October 6 as supporters were shut in the stadium for hours after the European clash.
Fans heading to the south of France had been warned they would be held up for at least 45 minutes for safety reasons.
But furious football lovers complained they were kept back for at least two hours with no water offered.

It allowed his side to hold on to a vital 1-0 win, sparking jubilant scenes among players and fans alike at Old Trafford.
Argentine winger Garnacho later took to X, formerly Twitter, and posted a snap of the players celebrating with Onana following the penalty heroics – captioned with two gorilla emojis.
He swiftly edited and then deleted the post, but the FA has been alerted and are liaising with the 19-year-old as part of a probe into the matter.
There’s no suggestion of racism behind the message, but he may face a suspension if the FA adopt the same approach they have in the past.

However, Onana has now taken to his own social media to defend the teenager.
Over two Instagram stories, he said: “People cannot choose what I should be offended by.
“I know exactly what @garnacho7 meant: power and strength. This matter should go no further.”
The comments were shared by Garnacho on his own Instagram account.

But the FA is understood to have sought Garnacho’s observations on the original post.
Speaking about the post today, United manager Erik Ten Hag said: “We are talking with the FA. I can confirm that and want to emphasise we are together.
“We are United and you see that in the post of Andre Onana.”
It comes after Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani was suspended for three games for writing “Gracias Negrito” to a friend while playing for United in 2020 – after the footballing body found it a racial term.
Cavani asserted the message “was intended as an affectionate greeting to a friend” following an apology.
But he was slapped with a £100,000 fine and made to complete face-to-face education.
A year earlier, Manchester City’s Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva was handed a one-match ban and £50,000 fine after he posted an image of the popular Conguitos chocolate bar, which has long been accused of racist undertones.
The Sun has approached Manchester United for comment.

Despite swiftly editing then deleting the post, the FA were alerted to it and have since liaised with the 19-year-old winger to investigate the matter.
And while there is no suggestion of racism behind the message, it is likely the athlete will be hit with a suspension if the Football Association adopt the same approach they have in the past.
Previously, the FA has punished footballers over other controversial social media postings that were viewed as offensive – even if the meaning was unintended.
