She feared the Champs-Elysees could see a “civil war” unfold after the final whistle was blown.
She told French CNews: “When you want to celebrate victory, you don’t come with mortars. But these people are really only coming to smash with iron bars.

Sporadic clashes broke out between hooligans and police who fired tear gas and charged several times.

The striker and his team-mates were left in tears following the final whistle – but the North London-based club had other things on their mind.

And Arsenal captioned the tweet with: “Our Wilo. A World Cup semi-finalist.”

He said on Anthony Pompliano’s podcast: “Even now Tommy Fury is creating all these smoke and mirrors and he’s ducking.

The tweet, captioned: “Germany are out of the #FIFAWorldCup in the group stage!!”, sees Shearer laughing like a maniac and falling off his chair alongside Match of the Day pals Gary Lineker and Micah Richards.
The clip came from when Lineker attempted to address praise Brazil legend Carlos Alberto had given Richards when he was just 22.
Lineker started off by saying: “Carlos Alberto, if you’re watching, can I just say,” before a producer behind the camera interrupted and said: “He’s dead.”
The gaffe from the ex-Barcelona ace left the three in hysterics, with the clip Shearer posted showing off their laughter.

Germany’s evit came after Japan beat Spain thanks to a goal which many felt should have been disallowed for the ball goingout of play.
But Shearer’s joyous post echoed the sentiment of many fans who remembered Germany benefitting from a controversial goalline decision against England in 2010.
Frank Lampard’s infamous “ghost goal” saw a shot crash in under the crossbar but spin back out of the net, unfairly denying the Three Lions an equaliser before they lost 4-1.
And many England fans took to Twitter to draw comparisons and declare justice had finally been served.

The move by the USA to change the flag came amid nationwide women’s rights protests in Iran challenging Tehran’s theocratic government.
USA’s official Twitter account posted an image of the World Cup Group B standings but decided to remove the Islamic Republic’s “Allah” emblem and the “takbirs” from Iran’s three-coloured flag.
The USMNT say the gesture was to show “support for the women in Iran fighting for basic human rights” and they added it was a one-time display and it will restore the symbol moving forward.
This has allegedly breached Fifa guidelines, as pointed out by Iran’s state-affiliated media Tasnim News Agency.

A later tweet added: “By posting a distorted image of the flag of the Islamic Republic of #Iran on its official account, the #US football team breached the @FIFAcom charter, for which a 10-game suspension is the appropriate penalty. Team #USA should be kicked out of the #WorldCup2022.”
