Below SunSport gives it verdict on how they should deal with the Red Devils flops this summer.
Andre Onana – STAY: After a dodgy start at Old Trafford Onana has proven to be one of the more reliable members of the squad this season despite being peppered with shots constantly.
Altay Bayindir – GO: Reports in February suggested Bayindir was unhappy with his bit part role at Man Utd amid interest from Turkish giants Galatasaray. If profit can be made on a sale then it should be done.
Tom Heaton – STAY: Veteran goalkeeper Heaton, 38, is a reliable back-up and is on a relatively small wage at the club. So long as he is happy it makes sense to keep him.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – GO: Wan-Bissaka, 26, has never managed to make the right-back position his own. With his contract up in 2025 it makes sense to cash in now.
Diogo Dalot – STAY: Dalot, 26, has been one of Man Utd’s most consistent performers this season.
Raphael Varane – GO: If it wasn’t for his injury record there would be a strong shout to keep Varane, but costs need to be cut to allow the squad to be freshened up.
Harry Maguire – GO: Maguire has showed he has the right character to be at Man Utd but overall ability and desired profile are another matter, with Maguire too slow to play in a high line defence.
Lisandro Martinez – STAY: Martinez, 26, is second to none in terms of build up play. He needs a long-term defensive partner on the right side and to cut out the injuries which have plagued him this season.
Jonny Evans – GO: Veteran campaigner Evans could easily be on the stay list if he was only going to be a bit part player. But he has shown his advanced years at times this season.
Victor Lindelof – GO:  Lindelof, 29, has been reliable if not unremarkable in his Man Utd career. He has one year left on his contract so should be moved on if a decent transfer fee can be got for him.
Willy Kambwala – STAY: He should be given the opportunity to mature for a few years behind a senior CB pairing before stepping into the first team as a starter or being moved on.
Luke Shaw – GO: One of the Premier League’s best left-backs when fit, Shaw has been a good servant when available. But alas that has been his Achilles heel once again this season.
Tyrell Malacia – STAY: Malacia, 24, was decent enough to earn some merit in his first season at Man Utd before injury ended his season and inadvertently led to his second season being a write off.
Sofyan Amrabat – GO: Amrabat, 27, looked like a world beater at the Qatar World Cup with Morocco. But he’s had an underwhelming season in England and his loan spell will almost certainly not be made permanent.
Casemiro – GO: An alarming physical decline has seen him turn from key star to burden. If a club is willing to buy the 32-year-old – who has two more years on his contract – then United should snatch their hand off.
Christian Eriksen – GO: Eriksen proved a useful asset and Ineos should look to bring in another player with similar traits, but frankly his legs have looked gone towards the end of this season.
Kobbie Mainoo – STAY: The first of the so-called untouchables, Mainoo has been a rare glimmer of hope in the Red Devils midfield this season.
Mason Mount – STAY: Mount can be given the benefit of the doubt until summer 2025 at least after a debut season riddled with injury.
Scott McTominay – STAY: McTominay, 27, has proven himself to be a brilliant plan B off the bench this season, and that is exactly why Ineos should look to keep him.
Bruno Fernandes – STAY: Man Utd’s best player since his arrival just over four years ago, Fernandes, 29, remains second-to-none when it comes to creating chances while his tenacity boosts those around him.
Antony – GO: There’s a case to argue that Antony may be the worst pound-for-pound signing in Premier League history. Despite some memorable moments he simply isn’t Man Utd quality.
Anthony Martial – GO: Ultimately Martial needs to be let go when his deal runs out this summer after an appalling injury record of late.
Marcus Rashford – STAY: As easy as it would be to say Rashford should leave the club this summer, it is difficult to look at the market and find many available players capable of scoring 30 goals a season.
Alejandro Garnacho – STAY: Another third of the untouchables trio, Garnacho has made the right-wing his own since coming into it. He’s a raw talent but has shown he has the quality to improve.
Rasmus Hojlund – STAY: A slow burner in his first Man Utd season, the 21-year-old has often been starved of supply which has led to him being unable to get the goals his movement and unselfish play often merits.
Amad Diallo – STAY: In the fleeting moments he has been on the pitch for Man Utd this season, Diallo has looked dangerous and exciting. He should be given a chance to flourish with some proper chances in the first team across a whole season.

United have now identified their alternative targets in the position, though.Toney scored four goals in 17 Premier League appearances for Brentford last term after returning from his betting ban.Who’s left in the running to be next Man Utd manager? The 28-year-old’s form was also enough to earn him a place in the Three Lions squad for Euro 2024.As for David, only Kylian Mbappe scored more than his 19 Ligue 1 goals for Lille.Elsewhere, Zirkzee scored 11 and added five assists in a slightly deeper role for Bologna as they qualified for the Champions League.THIS IS A DEVELOPING STORY..The Sun is your go to destination for the best football, boxing and MMA news, real-life stories, jaw-dropping pictures and must-see video.Like us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TheSunFootball and follow us from our main Twitter account at @TheSunFootball. Arsenal suffer transfer blow as Benjamin Sesko ‘decides to STAY at RB Leipzig with gentlemen’s agreement in place’

ARSENAL have been dealt a huge transfer blow after it was firstly claimed that they “held the upper hand” in the chase for RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. The 21-year-old Slovenian striker is currently preparing to face England in the Euro 2024 group stages.Arsenal are allegedly in pole position to sign RB Leipzig’s Benjamin SeskoCredit: GettyHe has a host of top clubs chasing his services after he fired 23 goals for club and country last term.A report emerged last week that three of the Premier League’s biggest teams are battling it out for the signature of the Bundesliga ace this summer.Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all determined to strengthen their front line before the start of next term. They all want Sesko – who has a release clause of £55.3m – while Newcastle have also joined the long-list of admirers.READ MORE ON FOOTBALLBut one giant appears to be leading the chase. The NY Times states that “the feeling among those interested parties” is “that Arsenal are in pole position” to sign him.The chasing pack “would like clarity on the situation” before the European Championship begins on Friday. However, even though they know that his price tag will not be inflated should he have a golden summer for Slovenia in Germany due to the release clause, no-one wants any potential deal to drag on.Most read in FootballCASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO WELCOME OFFERSAnd that could be good news for Arsenal. There is a belief among the English clubs that Mikel Arteta’s men allegedly “hold the upper hand because they can offer Champions League football and stability”.How Arsenal’s 180-page dossiers on transfer targets have led to outstanding recruitmentThey are two things he and his camp feel are “lacking at Chelsea and United”.But “there is a very real possibility Sesko will opt to stay at Leipzig”.And this fresh report claims that “is more of a threat to Arsenal’s hopes than him electing to move elsewhere in the Premier League”.Now transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has added more weight to that claim by stating that the player will be going nowhere.PLAY DREAM TEAM EUROS NOW!The best fantasy football game for this summer’s tournament.

ARSENAL are stepping up plans to sign a world-class striker in the summer after their Champions League heartbreak.
Mikel Arteta splashed out £204.5m last summer on Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber.
But the Spanish manager accepts he needs a proven goalscorer to take the club to the next level.
And here are the players he is looking at to get the Gunners firing:
BENJAMIN SESKO (RB Leipzig, value £40m-£45m)
One for the future at 20 years old. Scored 16 goals for RB Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga last season and the Slovenian has carried on that good form in Germany with Leipzig this campaign.
VIKTOR GYOKERES (Sporting Lisbon, value £60m-£80m)
Been scouted several times this season. The Swedish striker, 25, is more of a traditional No 9 so may not suit Arsenal’s demand for flexibility but would bring a physicality that boss Mikel Arteta craves.
    ALEXANDER ISAK (Newcastle, value £75m-£85m)
Impressed in his first two seasons in English football. The Swede, 24, has the pace and finesse to match his finishing ability, and Eddie Howe’s Toon may need to sell to balance the books this summer.
    JOSHUA ZIRKZEE (Bologna, value £45m-£50m)
Dutch wonder  is attracting the attentions of clubs across Europe. At 6ft 4in the 22-year-old forward would have no trouble adapting to the Premier League and already has an eye for goal.
XAVI SIMONS (RB Leipzig, value £70m-£80m)
An incredible talent in the Bukayo Saka mould, currently on loan from Paris Saint-Germain. The future of the Dutch attacker, 20, depends on how much money his parent club want to make from him. More

Thomas Tuchel does not want Man Utd job after talks with Sir Jim Ratcliffe as Ten Hag’s future thrown into further chaos

THOMAS TUCHEL does not want the Manchester United job and told them he plans to take a break from football. The former Chelsea boss has held two meetings with Red Devils owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe in recent weeks.Thomas Tuchel has does not want the Manchester United jobCredit: GEttyThe German had meetings with Sir Jim RatcliffeCredit: AlamyErik ten Hag’s future is uncertainCredit: AlamyUnited had made Tuchel their number one target as Erik ten Hag’s future at Old Trafford looked increasingly uncertain. However after leaving Bayern Munich in the summer, Tuchel has now indicated he needs some time away from management. And that takes him out of the running to take over should ten Hag be relieved of his duties by the new minority owners. He outlined how he would address the various issues that have hit United in recent months – including how to get the best out of Jadon Sancho.READ MORE ON FOOTBALLIt is also understood he used his former Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger as an example how he can bring the best out of players.Ten Hag delivered silverware for the second successive year as he led United to a shock FA Cup final win over rivals City. However more than two weeks later there has been no decision made about his future – with Ineos carrying out a review of the season. They will not be involved in the Champions League in the 2024/5 campaign after a disappointing eighth-place finish. Most read in FootballCASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO WELCOME OFFERSHowever, the Dutch boss had to contend with a crippling injury list for much of the season – meaning there were some mitigating circumstances.Ratcliffe is aware ten Hag still has plenty of support from the fans – and must decide whether he could prosper in the new look structure which is being put in place at the club.Erik ten Hag’s record as Man Utd bossThe feeling is that a final decision over whether to stick with Ten Hag or appoint a new manager will be made this week.England boss Gareth Southgate is another possible replacement – but he is now tied up on the Three Lions Euro 2024 campaign.Graham Potter is another name that has been tipped with the position at Old Trafford. The former Chelsea and Brighton and Hove Albion manager has been out of work since being sacked last season.Ratcliffe is said to be a big fan of the Englishman and reportedly tried to hire him for Nice. It’s starting to look like Sir Jim Ratcliffe doesn’t know what he’s doingBy Neil Custis
SIR JIM RATCLIFFE looked more than a little shame-faced when he headed into Manchester United’s dressing room to congratulate his FA Cup winners.
The plan had already been hatched ahead of Saturday’s 2-1 win over Manchester City . . .  and this was all rather awkward.
It was a stunning performance from Ten Hag’s troops and United’s triumph over a team widely regarded as the best in the world will live long in the memory.
It was also a personal triumph for the unassuming guy who had arrived at Old Trafford full of life and ideas to make United better — which in many ways he has.
Having been dealt a dreadful hand with injuries in his second season, he tried to explain to Ratcliffe and his team just how much this has affected performances.
But it seems Sir Jim hasn’t listened. Nor has he taken notice of the way Ten Hag  has carefully brought Saturday’s scorers  Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo into the first team — with spectacular results.
Ratcliffe has fired out emails criticising  the state of an office, called the club museum ‘crap’ and withdrew travel and lunch benefits for United staff on FA Cup  final day to cut costs.
There is early proof the new men overseeing United’s football department do not know what they are doing, not least in the way they deal with people . . .  including the most important one of all — the manager.
Ratcliffe and his team seem to have  spoken to anyone able to set up Subbuteo.
And everyone they have spoken to believes they have got the job.

Tottenham in talks to cancel Tanguy Ndombele’s contract with club giving up on £60m flop who will be available for free

TOTTENHAM are in talks with record signing Tanguy Ndombele as they look to rip up his contract this summer. The French midfielder, 27, arrived in North London from Lyon in a deal worth £60million in the summer of 2019.Tanguy Ndombele has failed to make a major impact during five years on Spurs’ booksCredit: GettyThe transfer shattered the club’s previous record of £35.7m which they paid for defender Davinson Sanchez. But Ndombele proved to be a huge disappointment, scoring 10 goals and assisting nine in 91 appearances. He attempted to rejuvenate his career with a loan return to Lyon and another short spell with Serie A side Napoli.Yet his poor form continued, before he joined Turkish giants Galatasaray in September last year.READ MORE IN FOOTBALLAnd while Ndombele was a part of the team that ended up winning the league title with 102 points, he still did not impress enough to convince Tottenham to give him another chance.Spurs are in talks to cancel Ndombele’s £200,000-a-week contract – which runs until 2025.The club have decided to negotiate a settlement that suits both parties and will allow Ndombele to walk away a free agent.Manager Ange Postecoglou had already made it clear last summer that the midfielder was not a part of his plans, despite handing him a fresh start when he first arrived. Most read in FootballEURO 2024 FREE BETS AND OFFERSPLAY DREAM TEAM EUROS NOW!The best fantasy football game for this summer’s tournament.

    1) Tanguy Ndombele – £52.7m
Ndombele joined from Lyon in 2019 with huge expectations after shattering Tottenham’s transfer record.
But he would go on to play just 91 times for the club, scoring 10 goals and is now set to leave one year before the end of his contract.
    2) Richarlison – £49.3m
Richarlison almost broke the £50m mark when he arrived from Everton in 2022 as Harry Kane’s back-up.
And while his tally of 12 goals this season was a significant increase on the three from his opening Spurs campaign, he is being linked with a departure this summer.
    3) Brennan Johnson – £46.8m
Johnson was signed by Ange Postecoglou last summer and has impressed in patches during his first season in North London.
He scored five goals and 10 assists in 38 games and will look to build on that in the 2024/25 campaign.
    4) Cristian Romero – £44.2m
Romero initially joined on loan from Atalanta in 2021, before his impressive displays saw him secure a permanent deal the following year.
He is two games shy of 100 for Spurs and, while he can be reckless with his tackling at times, is beginning to form a promising partnership with Micky van de Ven.
    5) James Maddison – £39.4m
Maddison was handed Kane’s No10 shirt after arriving at Spurs and hit the ground running with three goals and five assists in his opening 11 matches.
But after getting injured against Chelsea in October, he failed to return with the same sharpness – managing just five goal contributions in 15 league matches as he missed out on England’s final 26-man squad for the Euros.
    6) Davinson Sanchez – £35.7m
Sanchez joined Spurs from Ajax in 2017 and played more than 200 games across a six-year spell.
But he was always considered a somewhat erratic defender who did not play more than 20 games in a Premier League season from 2020 onwards.
    7) Pedro Porro – £34m
Porro was another signing who originally arrived on loan in January 2023, before he signed permanently last summer.
He has 54 appearances for Spurs under his belt, scoring seven goals and impressing under Postecoglou this season.
    8) Micky van de Ven – £34m
Rapid Dutch centre-back Van de Ven was named Spurs Player of the Season in his first campaign at the club.
His pace, athleticism, and technical ability on the ball have made him arguably Postecoglou’s best signing to date.
    9) Moussa Sissoko – £29.8m
Sissoko came to North London for a substantial fee after being relegated with Newcastle and went on to enjoy five years at Tottenham, playing more than 200 games.
Unfortunately for the French midfielder, he is best-known for giving away a controversial penalty for handball in the first minute of Spurs’ 2-0 Champions League final defeat to Liverpool in 2019.
    10) Giovani Lo Celso – £27.2m
Lo Celso joined on loan from Real Betis in 2019 – a deal that was made permanent the following season.
He has 10 goals and eight assists in 108 games, with some Spurs fans still unsure about the Argentine. More
