And the 21-year-old Norwegian striker wrote: “To be continued…”
Haaland, whose dad Alf Inge played for the club from 2000 to 2003, has not had his move officially confirmed yet.
That’s despite City announcing a deal is in place with Borussia Dortmund last month.
Pep Guardiola pounced for Haaland after failing to replace Sergio Aguero last summer.

City’s top target back then was Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
Guardiola revealed City had FOUR bids rejected by Daniel Levy.
That’s despite the final one reportedly topping £125m.
But City are sure to be delighted at paying less than half that sum for a striker already considered one of the world’s best.

Despite his young age, Haaland netted an incredible 86 goals in just 89 games at Dortmund.
Before that, he scored 29 times in 27 games at RB Salzburg.
And Haaland also has 18 international goals in 20 caps for Norway.
His arrival at the Etihad is set to spell the end of Guardiola’s ‘false nine’ experiment.
The likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden and Raheem Sterling were all given chances to lead the line.
It certainly allowed City to play their typically fluid football.
But Guardiola hopes the presence of Haaland means his side stick away more chances than usual.
The hitman himself will certainly have to adapt, just like last summer’s £100m signing Jack Grealish.

Gareth Bale gives update on free transfer talks as Wales icon says he will NOT be joining Getafe after Real Madrid exit

Bale will leave Real Madrid when his £650,000-a-week contract expires at the end of this month.
The 32-year-old yesterday ruled out a move to La Liga club Getafe which could boost Cardiff’s hopes of landing him.
But the ex-Southampton and Spurs forward believes a fourth club side of his career is a ‘win-win’ for all parties because he is desperate to be in peak condition at November’s Qatar finals.
Bale said: “The World Cup influences it. Any player will have one eye on the World Cup because it’s a major tournament that everyone wants to play in and test themselves.

Spanish club Getafe claimed Bale had been offered by his representatives in a bid to stay in Madrid.
But when asked if Bale was on the brink of announcing his future plans, the Dragons skipper laughed and added: “No. But I’m not going to Getafe that’s for sure!”
Bale has also been linked with Premier League and MLS clubs.
He added: “I haven’t had any (talks) yet. I haven’t really thought too much about it because it’s only been five days since qualifying.
“I have a summer holiday and I’ll have time to speak to my wife, my family and my agent.
“Those conversations will happen after the internationals have finished and I will then decide where I want to be.
“Whether it will be six months, one year, two years, I have no idea. I’ll sit down and see what excites me the most and what I want to do.”
    WELSH PRIDE
Bale knows his status as a Welsh legend is cemented after leading his team-mates to qualification for two Euros finals and now a World Cup.
But Robert Page’s talisman, who wins his 105th cap against Belgium in the Nations League tomorrow, claims he would play for Wales for free or the value of a hospitality box!
Bale was also the latest player to criticise the ‘crazy’ schedule, which will see the Dragons play five games in 14 days this month.
He added: “Someone said (Kevin) De Bruyne could play 79 games next season and have a three-week break. It’s too much and things need to change.
“There will be consequences in the long term. People at the top of the game have to do something. Football is a business and they want to make more money.
“For player welfare, money needs to be overlooked and they need to look after the players. Without the players there is no product.”
Bale reckons Wales defender Joe Rodon deserves a shot at Antonio Conte’s Spurs.
He said: “Joe should be playing at Tottenham. He’s shown time and time how good he is. He’s a top professional and a great young player.

MANCHESTER UNITED have received a boost in their pursuit of Frenkie de Jong.It is claimed that the Dutchman has given the club “private assurances” he is keen to join.
The main stumbling block to a move is said to be Barcelona demanding a £68m fee.
And De Jong may not be the only midfielder incoming, with United reportedly ready to pursue their “long held” interest in Christian Eriksen now he is available on a free transfer.
Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham is said to be top of the Red Devils’ wish list, but a deal with Dortmund is more likely to happen next summer.

    United academy coach departs
Manchester United’s head of academy goalkeeping has left the club, according to The Athletic.
Alan Fettis has quit Old Trafford to become a first-team goalkeeper coach at Middlesbrough.
Fettis has spent the last 11 years with United after initially being brought in by former goalkeeping coach Eric Steele and Sir Alex Ferguson.
    Garnacho contract talks progressing
Manchester United are reportedly hopeful of tying wonderkid Alejandro Garnacho down to a new deal.
The Red Devils are confident the 17-year-old will agree to fresh terms, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Negotiations between the two parties are understood to be progressing well.
Serie A giants Juventus are thought to be keen on the young winger.
MEN claim the Red Devils are willing to reward Garnacho with a bigger deal after he helped fire the club to FA Youth Cup glory.

    De Gea praises Ronaldo
Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has lauded Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the best players “in history”.
The Spaniard praised CR7’s dedication to training while talking to the club’s website.
De Gea said: “He’s great. The way he works speaks for himself. The way he treats himself, his body. He is focused in every training session and every game.
“This is why he is one of the best in history. He’s mentally very strong and that’s an example for everyone [to follow].”
    De Jong greenlights United switch
Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong has reportedly given the green light for a move to Manchester United.
According to The Athletic, the 25-year-old has agreed to join Erik ten Hag’s Old Trafford revolution.
All that’s thought to be left now is for the two clubs to agree on a transfer fee.
Barca are understood to want to recoup as much of the £65million they paid to sign De Jong from Ajax in 2019.
United are said to be currently proposing an offer of £50million for his services.
    Man Utd release 11 players
The Red Devils have this afternoon confirmed their retained list for next season.
As many people already knew, Edinson Cavani, Lee Grant, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba are leaving.
Meanwhile in the Academy Paul McShane has retired after spending a year with the U23s, at 36-years-old.
Elsewhere D’Mani Mellor, Reece Devine and Connor Stanley will all depart, and goalkeeper Paul Woolston has been forced to retire through injury.
    Mata bids farewell to United
Juan Mata has said an emotional goodbye to Manchester United with a heartfelt post posted on social media.
During a four-minute video, the Spanish star thanked the entirety of the club from the fans, the staff and his teammates.
He said: “All good things come to an end, and my time as a Manchester United player has just finished.
“I am the proudest man in the world for having represented this unique club for the last eight and a half seasons.
“It is something I would never have dreamt of when I was little as it felt too distant for a kid in Spain to one day play for one of the best clubs in the history of football.
    “But sometimes reality exceeds dreams.”

    De Jong nearly done deal
Manchester United are on the verge of confirming the signing of Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong.
TalkSPORT sources understand that a deal for the 25-year-old midfielder will be completed swiftly, and he could be unveiled as a Red Devil over the weekend.
New United boss Erik ten Hag has been keen to bring in the Dutch international, who he first worked with at Ajax.
De Jong left Amsterdam for the Nou Camp in 2019 for €75m, and he has gone on to score 13 times in 139 appearances for the Catalans.

    Kante available for reduced fee
Manchester United are hoping to land Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante at a knocked-down price this summer.
The Red Devils have been tracking the status of the French international, and plan to take advantage of the fact that only one year remains on his current deal at Stamford Bridge.
Thomas Tuchel hopes to keep hold of his midfielder, but there are concerns within the club over his injury record.
The Blues boss had previously said: “I think he is our key, key, key player; but key, key, key players need to be on the pitch.
“He plays only 40% of the games. So it’s maybe a miracle that we arrived in third place.”

    Phelan to leave coaching staff
Mike Phelan’s 21-year association with Manchester United may be about to end.
The Athletic have confirmed that the former player, coach and assistant manager will not stay on his current role following the arrival of Erik ten Hag.
However, Old Trafford officials are sensitive to the 59-year-old’s service, and are currently exploring the possibility of other non-coaching jobs at the club.
    United favourites to land Asensio
Manchester United are among the favourites to land Real Madrid star Marco Asensio, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Spanish international is eyeing a move away from the Bernabeu in order to guarantee regular first team football ahead of November’s World Cup.
Juventus are also keen on the 26-year-old attacking midfielder, who is said to have had a number of offers from abroad.
Asensio scored ten goals in 31 LaLiga appearances for Real last term.

Ten Hag wants to keep coach
New Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag wants to keep Eric Ramsay at Old Trafford – despite the highly-rated coach being linked with the vacant Barnsley manager’s job,
The 30-year-old is on the shortlist for the Oakwell hot-seat after earning rave reviews during his first season with the Red Devils.
However, the Manchester Evening News report that Ten Hag is keen to keep Ramsay, who has been working on set-pieces and technical skills since his appointment.
Ten Hag has been busy reshaping his backroom team, but Ramsay is understood to be one of the current members of staff that he hopes to work with following his appointment at the Premier League club.
    United to meet with Mendes
Darwin Nunez’s big-money move to Liverpool appeared a done deal…
…but Manchester United are preparing a last-minute bid to hijack the move.
As first reported by The Express yesterday, Old Trafford officials will meet with Nunez’s agent Jorge Mendes to discuss the possibility of a late switch to the Red Devils.
Benfica hot-shot Nunez had looked set for an £86m move to Liverpool after bagging 34 goals for the Portuguese giants last season.
Mendes is also agent to Wolves’ Ruben Neves, who has also been linked with a summer transfer to United,

    Morning Man Utd fans
Man Utd are reportedly in talks over a £51million transfer for Ajax winger Antony.
The 22-year-old Brazilian enjoyed a productive year under Erik ten Hag at Ajax last season, bagging 12 goals and 10 assists in 33 appearances in all competitions.
According to GOAL, Antony’s agents have flown to Europe for talks with United over a £51mi transfer.
The report indicates a deal could be struck in the coming days between the two parties.
Meanwhile, Frenkie de Jong’s agent is set to hold talks with Barcelona over his client’s future amid United’s reported interest.
Mundo Deportivo states that De Jong’s representative Ali Dursun is scheduled to fly to the Catalan capital within the next few days.
The Spanish outlet adds that manager Xavi would only agree to the midfielder’s departure if the club signed a worthy replacement.
The Barcelona boss’ preferred choice in that case would be Manchester City star Bernardo Silva.
In other news, Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Benfica star Darwin Nunez… but Manchester United want to hijack their deal.
Jurgen Klopp is keen to get the £86million deal done as he searches for a replacement for Bayern Munich bound Sadio Mane.
But according to Portuguese reporter Pedro Sepulveda, United aren’t ready to give up on signing the Uruguayan.
He told Sky Sports on Thursday that Red Devils chiefs are set to meet with Nunez’s agent Jorge Mendes.
And finally, United are keen on Leicester’s Wesley Fofana, according to RMC Sport.
The 21-year-old centre-back missed much of the season that just finished due to injury.
It is rumoured that the Foxes will demand a fee of £68m with Chelsea also keeping their eyes on the Frenchman.
    In the Hag
Erik ten Hag will improve the fortunes of struggling Manchester United pair Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford.
That is the view of Netherlands and Juventus centre-back Matthijs de Ligt, who played under his fellow Dutchman at Ajax.
The defender, 22, said: “Erik is someone who loves his job and he loves to work.
“He definitely does improve players. He’s really into the details. This makes him a really good trainer.
“He wants to do everything to make his team play better.”
Can Ten Hag succeed at United? De Ligt, who reached the Champions League semis with the Dutch coach in 2019, replied: “Of course. He has a lot of qualities. We will have to see how he goes.”
    Ten for effort
EXCLUSIVE – Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag has warned his struggling stars there is no room for egomaniacs, writes Richard Moriarty.
The Dutchman plans to instil a Sir Alex Ferguson-style discipline at the club after a disastrous season tarnished by dressing room splits and training ground bust-ups.
And he has already made his crackdown clear by EMAIL.
A source said: “The new gaffer sent the first-team players an email, telling them that football is a team game and no individual is more important than any other.
“His emphasis is all on the team — despite United possessing world class stars.
“He wants the players to train at a higher intensity so that each session is like a game.
The players have been told that their fitness levels will be the best they have ever been and that if they stick with him and back him, they will be fine.
“If not, they will be out the door. They will be drilled and drilled until they get it right. And if they can’t he’ll replace them with some of the promising youngsters.”

Blind opens up on Ten Hag
Former Man Utd ace Daley Blind has told fans what to expect of Erik ten Hag having worked under him at Ajax.
Asked what sort of manager the Dutchman is, Blind told United’s website: “I think he is a brilliant one.
“A manager who loves to play attacking football, what Manchester stands for.
“I think he’s a manager who knows what he wants.
“He knows exactly how he wants to bring it over to the team and express that and keep everyone on board, everyone in the same direction to get that winning mentality and winning trophies.”
    Firmino drops Nunez hint
Man Utd transfer target Darwin Nunez has hinted that he could be on his way to Liverpool… by liking Roberto Firmino’s Instagram post.
The Reds are reported to have agreed personal terms with Benfica hotshot Nunez ahead of a summer transfer.
Liverpool are understood to have offered around £86million for the forward but Manchester United are currently trying to hijack the deal.
Jurgen Klopp is said to have held private discussions with Nunez’s representatives who have made it clear he prefers a move to Merseyside.
And Nunez himself may have given the game away too after liking Firmino’s Instagram upload from Thursday evening.
The Uruguayan ace liked the snaps Firmino, 30, posted of himself helping deliver a sermon while away on his summer holiday.

    Salah and Foden big winners
Mohamed Salah has won his second PFA Premier League Player of the Year award after his sensational 2021-22 season, with Phil Foden retaining his Young Player gong.
The Liverpool star, 29, joins a prestigious list of legends including Cristiano Ronaldo and Thierry Henry to win the annual award more than once.
Salah tied Son Heung-min for the Golden Boot with 23 goals last season.
His heroics led the Reds to within minutes of their second Premier League crown, but for Manchester City’s heroics late in the season finale.
The Egyptian star joins Ronaldo, Henry, Mark Hughes, Alan Shearer, Gareth Bale and Kevin de Bruyne as the only stars to win the award more than once.
Meanwhile, Foden becomes the fifth person to win the Young Player of the Year gong two years in a row.
The Man City and England ace, 22, follows Ryan Giggs, Robbie Fowler, Wayne Rooney and Dele Alli in winning back-to-back PFA Premier League Young Player of the Year awards.
    Creme de la Prem
The PFA Premier League Team of the Year has been announced – with runners-up Liverpool dominating the star-studded XI.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds fell agonisingly short in a thrilling final day of the 2021-22 season, ultimately coming up one point – and just a matter of minutes – short.
The Anfield side played superbly all season – and their squad has been rewarded with no fewer than FIVE stars making the campaign’s best XI.
Take a look at the team below.

    Ragnick’s Man United failure explained
Ralf Rangnick failed to make an impact at Man United because he wasn’t given enough time.
That’s the view of Real Madrid ace David Alaba who has been working with Rangnick since he became Austria’s new manager.
Alaba, who labelled Rangnick world class, told The Athletic: “He has been really good, you can see we have a really good plan and you can see it works for us on the pitch.
“He doesn’t want us to let the opponents breathe air. It is good for us. I have known Ralf since I was 18 years old and he is a world-class coach.
“What he did in the past is something special and now I am seeing it close up. He showed what he can do at Leipzig, Salzburg and Hoffenheim.
“He didn’t have a lot of time in Manchester. He has a really good plan and knows a lot about football.”
    He’s the Special Ron
Cristiano Ronaldo is a machine that won’t stop any time soon, according to his Man United team-mate Diogo Dalot.
Dalot told United’s media: “I think the stats can speak for themselves.
“He’s a machine, like I like to call him. Inside of the pitch, outside of the pitch, the way he works, the way he drives himself every single day to perform like this, to give us these goals and these performances.
“I think it’s a plus for this club and for the fans and, hopefully, we can stay with him for many, many years.
“I know he is not going to be here forever but I’m sure that he will play football for a few more years yet.”
    Ant and Ten
Man Utd are in talks over a £51million transfer for Ajax winger Antony, according to reports.
New boss Erik ten Hag wants to bring Antony with him to Old Trafford from Ajax, recognising that The Red Devils current squad lacks a true quality right-winger.
The 22-year-old Brazilian enjoyed a productive year under Ten Hag at Ajax last season, bagging 12 goals and 10 assists in 33 appearances in all competitions.
Antony has also made his Brazil debut during their World Cup qualifying campaign. He has made nine appearances where he has scored and assisted twice each.
According to GOAL, Antony’s agents have flown to Europe for talks with United over a £51mi transfer.
The report indicates a deal could be struck in the coming days between the two parties.

    Danjuma wants England return
Arnaut Danjuma has admitted he still has “unfinished business” in the Premier League.
The Villarreal winger, 25, has been linked with a move to both Manchester United and Liverpool.
Danjuma first and only taste of Premier League action was in the 2019-20 season after he signed for Bournemouth from Belgium outfit Club Brugge.
He later moved on to Villarreal after two seasons on the South Coast, and his excellent form has seen Danjuma tipped to head back to England this summer.
When quizzed on whether he feels as though he has unfinished business in the Prem, Danjuma admitted to Sky Sports: “That I will have to confirm.
“I think there is definitely unfinished business for me in England.
“Because if you look back to the reason why I joined Bournemouth initially was [for] me to play Premier League football.”

Utd and Chelsea battle for Sangare
Chelsea and Manchester United are set to fight it out over PSV Eindhoven star Ibrahim Sangare ahead of the summer transfer window.
That is according to a report from Sky Sports that claims that the Premier League duo are eyeing Sangare, who is believed to have a €35million (£30m) release clause in his contract.
The Blues and United are set for quite a bidding war as the midfielder has also been linked with Liverpool as well as Newcastle.
However, the 24-year-old appears keen to move to the Premier League and is convinced he will be playing in England next season.
The Ivory Coast international was a regular for PSV last season as he registered four goals and four assists in 49 appearances across all competitions.
Sangare helped Eindhoven win the Dutch Cup by beating new United manager Erik ten Hag’s Ajax in the final.

    Man Utd still want Nunez
Manchester United are reportedly in contact with Darwin Nunez’s agent, despite Liverpool ready to bring him to Anfield.
That is according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano who has stated the Benfica striker is at the centre of a battle between the two rivals.
He tweeted: “Darwin Nunez deal. Key hours ahead as reported.
“Waiting for key stages as Liverpool are in advanced talks with Benfica on €80m [£68m] verbal bid and personal terms [five year deal] already discussed.
“But Manchester United are in contact with his agent, even today afternoon.”

    Kounde keen on Sevilla exit
Sevilla general director Jose Maria Cruz de Andres has confirmed Chelsea target Jules Kounde wants to leave the club to play in a “more competitive team”.
SunSport exclusively revealed last month that the French defender is desperate to sign for the Blues this summer.
And De Andres told Sport Witness: “Again, the player, I am sure, respects Sevilla FC. He is happy with us. In the case of Kounde, it is not a matter of money.
“It’s a matter of him wanting to play in a more competitive team than Sevilla FC.
“I am sure he is a player that is attractive for teams like Chelsea, FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich and these types of teams.
“He wants to play in a more competitive team.”
    Ruben happy to stay
Ruben Loftus-Cheek is reportedly happy to stay at Chelsea next season, despite not starting games week in, week out.
The Academy product is happy with his role under boss Thomas Tuchel, according to football.london.
A number of Serie A clubs have been said to hold an interest in the 26-year-old midfielder.
But any switch to Italy would require Loftus-Cheek to take a hefty pay-cut to his current £150,00-a-week deal.

Blues bid farewell to Andreas Christensen
Chelsea have confirmed defender Andreas Christensen has left the club, along with three other players.
The Blues have confirmed their retained list at the end of the season.
Also leaving are Danny Drinkwater and Charly Musonda.
Jake Clarke-Salter is also set to depart, with the defender thought to be set to join a Championship club on a free transfer.
Elsewhere it has already been confirmed that Antonio Rudiger will be joining Real Madrid.
Rudiger: Grealish will star at World Cup
Antonio Rudiger has praised Jack Grealish after the Manchester City forward after coming off the bench in England’s 1-1 draw against Germany.
And the defender has talked up England’s chances of glory at this year’s World Cup.
Rudiger said: “Grealish gave the team a real impact. He is a very dangerous player and those sort of players are going to win you games.
“The England squad has great quality. [Bukayo] Saka comes out, Grealish comes in.
“I saw a lot of big, big names were on the bench. England have a lot to be optimistic about for the future.”
He added: “Players like [Marcus] Rashford and [Jadon] Sancho didn’t even make the squad. You have a lot of depth and you have big players like Harry Kane, [Raheem] Sterling and Grealish.”
Azpilicueta set for talks on future
Cesar Azpilicueta is set to hold talks with Chelsea next week over his future, writes ANDREW DILLON.
The club captain wants to leave but does not want to submit a transfer request out of respect to the club he has served for ten years.
Barcelona are keen to sign the veteran right back but are reluctant to pay a transfer fee even though the player has 12 months left on his contract.
Boss Thomas Tuchel has hinted that Chelsea’s longest serving player could be allowed to leave for nothing as a reward for his loyalty and key part in bringing huge success to the club.

    Merson: Lukaku’s a bargain Belgian
Paul Merson believes Arsenal are the perfect club to rescue Romelu Lukaku from his Chelsea nightmare.
And the former Gunners star reckons his old team could land the Belgian for a cut-price fee.
“Arsenal should make a cheeky £60m bid for Romelu Lukaku this summer,” Merson said in his column for the Daily Mirror.
“Because if Chelsea are so desperate to let him go that they’re talking about loaning him to Inter Milan, surely they would take the money!
“I know he hasn’t scored a lot of goals this season but Lukaku is an elite goalscorer. Arsenal play great football up to the edge of the box but then it often fizzles out.
“Arsenal go through the lines. They want their striker on the edge of the box. It would suit him.”
Lukaku scored just eight goals in 26 Premier League appearances last season following his £97.5m move back to Stamford Bridge.

    Kounde wants to be ‘competitive’
Jules Kounde hopes he will be competing for major trophies once he completes his move from Sevilla to Chelsea.
The 23-year-old centre-back is in advanced talks with the Stamford Bridge club about a transfer, and his current club’s chief executive has been explaining why a deal will be done.
Jose Maria Cruz told Sports Witness: “The case with Jules Kounde is very similar to the case of Diego Carlos.
“We have rejected [previous offers] because we thought that this player can improve his performances. It was better to wait because the market at the time was depressing. We thought that waiting a while would [help us] obtain more money.
“In the case of Kounde, it is not a matter of money. It’s a matter of him wanting to play in a more competitive team than Sevilla.
“I am sure he is a player that is attractive for teams like Chelsea, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and these types of teams. He wants to play in a more competitive team.”
    Big Blues offer for Koulibaly
Chelsea hope to tempt Kalidou Koulibaly to Stamford Bridge with a whopping €10m-per-year offer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Napoli centre-back has previously spoken about his desire to finish his player career with the Italian club, but may be enticed by the contract tabled by the Premier League outfit.
However, any deal would have to be financially beneficial to Napoli too, and the Serie A side are holding out for a transfer deal in the region of €40m.
The 30-year-old Senegalese international has made more than 300 appearances in eight years with the Naples club.

    Breaking: Blues bag Buchanan
The men’s team may be struggling to get new signings over the line, but Chelsea Women have had no such difficulties.
The ladies have this morning confirmed the signing of five-time Champions League winner Kadeisha Buchanan.
The centre-back joins on a free transfer following the expiry of her contract at Lyon, and will take the number 26 shirt so famously associated with John Terry at Stamford Bridge.
    Blues consider alternative to Rice
England star Declan Rice remains one of Chelsea’s top transfer targets this summer, but the Blues are considering alternatives if West Ham refuse to do business.
The Hammers have slapped a £150m asking price on their main midfielder with the Stamford Bridge outfit so far proving reluctant to offer in excess of £75m.
And now the Blues are threatening to look elsewhere.
According to football.london, Chelsea scouts have been watching RB Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer for some time, and believe the 25-year-old could excel in England.
However, they face competition from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, who had been preparing to pounce for Laimer following the expiry of his current contract.
    Morning Chelsea fans
SunSport have exclusively revealed how Chelsea are keen to sign Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling.
The England international is understood to be considering his future with the player to become a free agent in 2023.
With Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez to compete for a place in the starting XI, there is a fear that Sterling could be dropped to the bench.
And the Blues would be willing to bring him to Stamford Bridge following their takeover.
In other news, Ousmane Dembele has reportedly decided to join Chelsea over PSG this summer.
The Barcelona winger will leave the Catalan giants when his contract expires in a matter of weeks.
The chance to work with Thomas Tuchel again, as he did at Borussia Dortmund, has proved to be a big factor in his choice, claim the Mirror.
Meanwhile, transfer guru Christian Falk has revealed Chelsea are targeting three centre-backs.
Commenting on the Blues’ targets, Falk tweeted: “Chelsea have on their list for new defenders.
“Presnel Kimpembe, Matthijs de Ligt and Jules Kounde.”
And finally, Chelsea’s forgotten man Baba Rahman is wanted by a host of clubs this summer with Middlesbrough and Reading leading the chase.
According to Ghanasoccernet.com, the two clubs are keeping tabs on the player.
And another of Rahman’s former employers, Augsburg, are also reportedly in the chase to try and secure his signature.
    Chelsea in for Raheem Sterling
EXCLUSIVE – Chelsea want Raheem Sterling — but they need to prove they will match his ambitions.
The Manchester City star, 27, has been identified as a marquee signing for Chelsea’s new owners after their £4.25billion takeover.
Sterling is entering the final 12 months of his contract and is open to all options — but wants to play regularly in the countdown to the winter World Cup.
The winger does not want to sit on the bench and is eager to still be competing for trophies, if he is to leave champions City.
Despite starting 32 games in all competitions last term he was left out of both legs of the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid and the decisive last game of the season against Aston Villa.
The imminent arrival of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez will make competition for forward places even tougher.

    Rich pickings for Arsenal
Arsenal will reportedly turn to Chelsea target Richarlison if they miss out on Gabriel Jesus.
It has been claimed that the Everton ace would welcome a move to the Blues should he depart Goodison Park.
But according to TeamTalk’s Graeme Bailey, the Gunners could look to tempt Richarlison into an Emirates switch.
Speaking on the ‘Talking Transfers’ podcast about Arsenal’s pursuit of Jesus, he said: “I think there are legs in this one yet.
“Arsenal are trying, there’s a chance, but I’d keep an eye on other players such as Richarlison – a player we know Arsenal like and have liked for a long time.
“His people are close to Edu (Gaspar), so I think he’s a player whose name will come up again and he may end up being more likely than Jesus.”
    Baba rahman set to depart
Chelsea’s forgotten man Baba Rahman is wanted by a host of clubs this summer with Middlesbrough and Reading leading the chase.
According to Ghanasoccernet.com, the two clubs are keeping tabs on the player.
And another of Rahman’s former employers Augsburg, are also reportedly in the chase to try and secure his signature.
Even though he has barely been there, Chelsea handed the player a new three-year extension last summer.
And that will ensure that they will still be able to command a decent transfer or loan fee for him.

    Rudiger hails Eden Hazard
Antonio Rudiger will link up with former Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Hazard has not had it easy in Spain with injuries preventing him hitting the heights he did in the Premier League.
On this, Rudiger said: “I am very happy to coincide with Eden again, now in Madrid.
“I know these have been very hard years for him, with many injuries and problems.
“But I still hope that the Madrid fans can see the Hazard that I played with, because he was without a doubt one of the best footballers in the world.”
    Pul the other one
Christian Pulisic has shown off his drastic new look after dying his hair blond.
The Chelsea star, 23, is currently away on international duty with the USA – helping his side beat Morocco and secure a creditable draw against Uruguay.
Pulisic sported his natural brown hair for both matches – before turning up for training with a new blond look.
The Blues ace – tipped with a summer move away from Stamford Bridge – uploaded a sneak peek at his new do on Instagram.
Pulisic captioned the snap: “New hair who dis?”
But the Blues star was quickly trolled by his team-mates, including Mateo Kovacic.
The Croatian jokingly replied to the post with two facepalm emojis, to which Pulisic replied: “I did it just for you.”

    Chelsea’s defensive targets reveals
Transfer guru Christian Falk has revealed Chelsea are targeting three centre-backs.
Thomas Tuchel is in the market to bolster his defence with Antonio Rudiger agreeing a deal to join Real Madrid.
Meanwhile Andreas Christensen is poised to link up with Barcelona when his contract expires at the end of the month.
Commenting on the Blues’ targets, Falk tweeted: “Chelsea have on their list for new defenders.
“Presnel Kimpembe, Matthijs de Ligt and Jules Kounde.”
    Chelsea eye up Gabriel Jesus
Arsenal are battling London rivals Chelsea in the race to sign Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus.
The Gunners are claimed to be leading the race to prise the Brazilian away from the Etihad this summer.
But they face competition from the Blues, with Thomas Tuchel said to be a huge admirer of the ex-Palmeiras ace.
German reporter Christian Falk tweeted: “Thomas Tuchel would also like to work with striker Gabriel Jesus.”

    Jul in the crown
Chelsea reportedly remain desperate to snap up Jules Kounde from Sevilla this summer.
The Blues agreed a deal with the Spanish side last year, only for the transfer to fall through after the LaLiga outfit demanded more money.
But the West London outfit have retained their interest in the player as they look to finally secure his services.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “Jules Kounde deal, still priority for Chelsea. Tuchel wants him.
“Talks are well advanced on player side, while Sevilla are still waiting to receive the opening bid for the French centre-back.
“Price tag will be around €65m [£55m], less than €80m [£68m] release clause.”
    Milan Skriniar next club odds
Chelsea are leading contenders to sign Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.
That’s according to bookmakers Betfair, who’ve installed Thomas Tuchel’s side as 3/1 favourites to clinch his signature.
But Tottenham are outsiders at 6/1, a fraction behind Manchester United (5/1).
Though tipped to leave, Skriniar has stated that he intends to continue with Inter in Italy.
He said: “My future is at Inter.
“I have a contract and nothing has changed. The transfer rumours come out every six months, every year. But there’s nothing specific – I’m satisfied with Inter.”

    Spurs in ‘advanced’ Spence talks
Tottenham are in advanced talks with Middlesbrough regarding a £20m deal for Djed Spence.
Transfers journalist Pete O’Rourke reports that Spurs are closing in on the 21-year-old, who recently won promotion to the Premier League with Nottingham Forest.
Spence enjoyed a brilliant season on loan at the City Ground after being deemed surplus to requirements by then-Boro manager Neil Warnock.
Forest had hoped to keep hold of the defender after returning to the top-flight for the first time since 1999.
However, they now look set to lose out to one of the ‘big six’ while Boro receive a windfall for a player they had previously written off.

Arsenal were left reeling when Juventus beat them to the signing of Dusan Vlahovic back in January, but they are now preparing for some swift revenge.
Juve are said to have identified Verona centre-forward Giovanni Simeone – son of Atletico Madrid boss Diego – as a potential strike partner for Vlahovic.
However, according to Tuttomercatoweb, the Gunners are now considering swooping for the 26-year-old from under the nose of the Old Lady.
The 26-year-old Simeone bagged 17 goals in 36 Serie A appearances for Verona last term.
    Kenny set for Everton exit
Jonjoe Kenny will leave Everton this month after 16 years with the Merseyside club.
The 25-year-old right-back had been offered a new deal to stay with the Toffees, but has instead opted to look for first team football elsewhere.
Kenny joined the club’s youth system at the age of six, but has struggled to cement a place in the team in recent seasons, having to make do with a number of loan spells away.

    Spurs want to lead Eagle
Tottenham have turned their attention to Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi as they look to boost their squad ahead of the new season.

It comes as a surprise considering Samba has formed a strong bond with the city and the club.

    Rivaldo: Richarlison should join Arsenal
Brazilian legend Rivaldo believes that a move to Arsenal would be perfect for his compatriot Richarlison.
The Everton forward has been linked with the Emirates after his exploits in helping the Toffees beat the drop last season.
And Rivaldo feels it could be a signing that suits Mikel Arteta’s team too.
Speaking in his role as Betfair Ambassador, the former Barcelona star said: “This could be a big summer for Richarlison.
“He looks set to leave Everton, with several big clubs interested, and Arsenal looks a good option for the forward.
“The Gunners have Edu as their director and, after working with Tite until 2019, the ex-Arsenal midfielder knows Richarlison very well from the Brazilian national team.
“Joining a club that fights near the top of the Premier League could be important for Richarlison, after a tough season with Everton, in which he was crucial to saving the club from relegation.
“If he gets a big move, he will have a better chance of becoming a first choice forward for Brazil at the World Cup in Qatar.”
    Big Blues offer for Koulibaly
Chelsea hope to tempt Kalidou Koulibaly to Stamford Bridge with a whopping €10m-per-year offer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

In a statement on the club’s website, Arsenal said “Please note, any further developments regarding players extending their contracts; joining/re-joining us; or leaving us will be officially communicated as soon as they are confirmed.”
    Zidane set for first signing
Zinedine Zidane hasn’t even touched down in Paris yet, but his first signing as new Paris Saint-German manager is already in the works.
Zidane is currently flying in from Qatar to replace Mauricio Pochettino, and the French legend is not expected to be the only new arrival the Parc des Princes.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the French champions have tabled an opening offer of €50m for Inter defender Milan Skriniar.
The Serie A club are said to be holding out for €70m despite the Slovakian centre-back only having a year left to run on his current contract.
Poch on the brink at PSG
Paris Saint-Germain are set to sack Mauricio Pochettino and replace him with Zinedine Zidane, according to reports.
The French side are expected to relieve the former Tottenham boss of his duties imminently.
Waiting in the wings is ex-Real Madrid manager Zidane.
According to Mundo Deportivo’s Ramon Fuentes, Zizou is travelling to Qatar to finalise his contract with PSG’s owners.
They expect the deal to be formally completed tomorrow.
Zidane, 49, has been out of work since leaving Madrid at the end of the 2020-21 season.

    Wilson: Fulham in good Nec
Welsh World Cup hero Neco Williams should quit Liverpool to join newly-promoted Fulham.
That’s the view of international teammate Harry Wilson, who made the same move himself last summer.
Williams spent the second half of last season on loan with the Cottagers as they claimed the Championship title, and starred for his country in the weekend’s play-off triumph over Ukraine.
Liverpool have slapped a £15m asking price on the right-back, but are already considering replacements with a move for Aberdeen teenager Calvin Ramsey looking likely.

Drinkwater joined Chelsea from Leicester City two seasons after helping Leicester City win an unprecedented title in 2015/16, but made just 23 appearances in his time at Stamford Bridge.
In a heartfelt and brutally honest assessment of his time at the club, Drinkwater described the £35million transfer as “a business move gone wrong.”
The 32-year-old said: “Me, the club and fans are hugely disappointed with the outcome there is no doubt about that.
“Injuries, how I have been treated, mistakes I have made, issues of the pitch, lack of game time… the list of excuses could be endless but I would not and can not change what’s happened.

Musonda’s time at Chelsea will ultimately go down as another victim of Chelsea’s ruthless loan system.
The 25-year-old joined The Blues Academy as a scholar in 2013 and was part of Youth teams which won a number of accolades including the FA Youth Cup and Under-21 Premier League.
The attacking midfielder made just seven appearances in the first team, spending the majority of his time as a senior player either out on loan or side-lined by injury.

Man Utd ‘in contact with Darwin Nunez agent’ in bid to hijack Liverpool transfer – but striker prefers Anfield move

MANCHESTER UNITED have contacted the agent of Darwin Nunez in a desperate bid to hijack Liverpool’s move for the striker, according to reports. The 22-year-old was rumoured to be in line for a move to Old Trafford before Liverpool came roaring in with a bid said to be worth up £80million.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported United have been in contact with the striker’s agent, but denied suggestions of a meeting with new United boss Erik ten Hag.
However, it is understood that Nunez would prefer a move to Anfield.
Whether a move manages to be completed could depend on Liverpool and Benfica striking an agreement on how to structure the deal.
Liverpool want to do the deal in instalments and are also haggling over the add-on which could be attached to a deal for him, with Benfica demanding £17million in performance-related extras.

Personal terms have also reportedly been agreed on a five-year deal worth £150,000 a week, further denting United’s ambitions of signing him.
Nunez scored 34 goals in 41 games last season, a tally which included a brace of goals against Liverpool during the Champions League quarter-finals.
Liverpool are set to allow Sadio Mane to leave this summer if they receive an offer of £43million for him.
They have reportedly turned down two offers from Bayern Munich for the 30-year-old, with the latter said to be worth at least £30million including add-ons.
