Darwin Nunez’s Liverpool transfer broken down with add-ons revealed including appearance bonuses and trophy wins

DARWIN NUNEZ is poised to join Liverpool from Benfica in a deal worth up to £85.5million.The Portuguese side, who confirmed they had agreed a deal on Sunday, will receive £64.2m upfront but are set to secure another £21.5m if all the add-on requirements are met.

According to Record, Liverpool will have to pay £4.3m when Nunez plays ten matches for the Reds.
Then after 60 games for the Premier League side, Benfica will receive another £8.6m for the man who scored 34 times for them last season.
The remaining £8.6m is related to performance-based objectives, both on a personal and collective level.
Theoretically, this means Liverpool could have to pay more of the transfer fee if they scoop trophies in the coming seasons.

The star, who has represented his country at both U16 and U17 level, will head to London in the coming weeks to link up with Mikel Arteta’s side for pre-season training.
Arsenal’s technical director Edu said: “We’re delighted to have completed the transfer with Sao Paulo, as Marquinhos was a player we had been watching for a while.
“At 19, he is still very young, so he is a player for the future.

CHELSEA have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Jules Kounde after Sevilla reduced their asking price for him, according to reports.The departures of Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid and the loss of Andreas Christensen to free agency has left Chelsea looking light-weight in defence, leading them to pursue a move for Kounde.

The Blues wanted the Sevilla defender last summer, but failed to agree a deal for him due to Sevilla’s asking price of £68million.
However, this summer things appear to be different as Sevilla’s new asking price has been set at £55million.
According to Marca, the Spaniards will not negotiate below this line and will play hardball after seeing other deals for Diego Carlos, Darwin Nunez, and Aurelien Tchouameni come out to high values.
Sevilla earned £26million for the sale of Carlos to Aston Villa, while Benfica are set to receive £85million from Liverpool for 22-year-old Nunez.

Kounde, 23, represents an investment for the future, but with two years left on his current deal in Spain the club can afford to be stubborn with their valuation.
They signed Kounde in 2019 for around £22.5millon from Bordeaux, so would gain a significant profit if Chelsea pay the full £55million price tag.

“Ten Hag has not worked in the Premier League before and doesn’t have any experience of working at elite level in a top league.
“I know he has done well at Ajax, but the task he has been given at Manchester United is on a different scale to that.
“This is a massive football club that was at the top for a long time under Sir Alex (Ferguson) and it has been sliding for a decade now.”
Ten Hag uses persuasion tactics
Erik ten Hag has reportedly used his powers of persuasion to convince Frenkie de Jong to join Manchester United.
De Jong, 25, had initially been sceptical about joining United when he emerged as a top target for new boss Ten Hag.
The pair worked together at Ajax before De Jong joined Barcelona in 2019, and the midfielder has now come around to the idea of reuniting with his former boss.
According to the Mirror, Ten Hag has successfully convinced De Jong to join his project at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils gaffer wants to build his team around classy midfielder De Jong.
And in talks between the pair, Ten Hag is said to have informed De Jong of his plans to restore United to their former glory.

He then quickly followed that up by adding: “(just having fun calm down 😂💙).”
Now 12 months on Haaland has penned a deal with Man City which will see him lead the line for Pep Guardiola’s men next season.
And the Norwegian has confirmed that Mahrez did in fact speak to him last summer about coming to the Etihad.

Opening up about the meeting in his first Man City interview, Haaland said: “He told me to come to City and he was right about that!
“We talked and he said some good things about the club.”
And Mahrez also had a bit of fun on social media.
He responded to the comments from last year which stated he was joking about being an “agent” trying to persuade Haaland, tweeting: “Or not.. 👀🕵️🏻‍♂️.”

Haaland was officially unveiled as Man City’s first signing of the summer on Monday morning – 19 years after his father Alf-Inge left the club.

Journalist Jorge Nicola is claiming that United have already put a bid in and that Antony is one of the club’s top targets this summer.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a fantastic season helping the Amsterdam based side win the Eredivisie title.
He netted 12 times and registered ten assists in 33 matches in all competitions last season.
The winger’s solid form led to him receiving a call-up to the Brazil national side, he has since earned nine caps.

Antony is believed to have a strong relationship with Ten Hag and fuelled reports surrounding a potential move to Manchester when he commented on the Dutchman in a goodbye message to his boss.
