      Man Utd ‘launch Christian Eriksen transfer bid’ as Dane admits he is happy to join club despite multiple offers

      MANCHESTER UNITED have made an offer to sign Christian Eriksen, according to reports.The midfielder, 30, is available on a free transfer at the end of the month with his Brentford contract expiring.

      Eriksen signed for the Bees in January and proved his fitness as well as his quality with one goal and four assists.
      And now United are looking to take advantage of his contract situation by offering the Danish international a deal, report The Athletic.
      But the Red Devils are not the only club interested in snatching Eriksen away from Brentford.
      Tottenham are reportedly keen to lure Eriksen back to north London and can offer him the added incentive of Champions League football.

      SunSport reported earlier this month that Sporting Lisbon midfielder Palhinha had agreed to join Wolves for around £20m on a long-term contract.
      Wolves boss Bruno Lage sees Palhinha, 26, as the perfect replacement for £50m-rated Neves, 25, who has been linked heavily to Manchester United and Barcelona this window.
      Portugal international Palhinha – who was also tracked by Man United – was expected to finalise his move to Wolves following the recent Nations League fixtures.

      BARCELONA legend Gerard Pique has reportedly challenged president Joan Laporta to bring in a new defender this summer.The 35-year-old is claimed to have told the club chief that he will be the starting centre-back regardless of whether a world class defender arrives.

      That is despite the former Manchester United man being told by boss Xavi that he is not in his plans for next season.
      It has been said that he was told two weeks ago he is no longer wanted due to his “unprofessional conduct off the field” and “deteriorating physical condition”.
      Pique, who is tied down at the Nou Camp until 2024, featured in 39 games in all competitions during the 2021-22 campaign, but missed the last four LaLiga matches due to injury.

      Spanish reporter Xavi Valls has provided an update on Pique’s future when he appeared on Onze on Esport3.
      It has been suggested that the three-time Champions League winner has no intentions of departing Catalonia, and will instead agree to take a pay cut to help Barca sign top players.
