Arsenal FAIL in first Raphinha transfer bid after offer ‘falls well below valuation’ and Chelsea are his preferred club

ARSENAL’S first bid for Leeds playmaker Raphinha has been REJECTED, according to reports. The 25-year-old Brazilian, who could cost up to £60million, has been identified by the Gunners as a transfer target after Barcelona’s bid stalled due to financial problems.

But The Athletic are reporting that Arsenal’s first offer for the forward was considered to be “well below Leeds’ valuation”.
And, while they remain interested, it is thought that acquiring him could be a “long and difficult process”.
This is due to competition from other clubs – with Raphinha eyeing Chelsea as his preferred Premier League destination.
Tottenham are also considering a move, although Richarlison remains above him on their wishlist.

There will be no option or obligation to buy at the end of the loan next summer, with Lukaku to undergo his medical next week.
Lukaku’s move to Stamford Bridge last summer will go down as one of the costliest in Premier League history.

Inter loan ‘DONE’, Chelsea ready to make £50m Richarlison bid
The former Manchester United hitman, 29, had a stellar campaign at Inter the season before last as he won Serie A under Antonio Conte.
He never seemed completely sold on a move back to Chelsea, whom he initially joined as a teenager in 2011, yet eventually made the switch in August.
Lukaku had issues with injuries and Covid and struggled to fit into Thomas Tuchel’s system.
He did nothing to endear himself to the German coach with a bombshell interview in December where the striker revealed he was “not happy” at the club and wished to return to Inter “in the near future”.

Now the ex-Everton ace has his wish, presuming he passes his medical and is expected back in Milan in the next week to be officially unveiled.
While Lukaku’s loan marks one of the most disastrous transfers ever, the benefit of agreeing to let him go now is Chelsea can now press on with bringing in new players.
Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling is a top target, while Richarlison of Everton, and Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele are also in Tuchel’s sights in attack.
But the Blues, now owned by Todd Boehly, are also in need of defensive reinforcements following the free-transfer exits of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, while captain Cesar Azpilicueta could also leave.
Sevilla’s Jules Kounde is a long-term target, while Lens right-back Jonathan Clauss is also admired. More

Red Devils struggling to offload Martial and Bailly
EXCLUSIVE: Manchester United are having a nightmare trying to find a buyer for Anthony Martial due to his sky-high wages, writes NEIL CUSTIS.
United are ready to accept a big hit on the £38.5million they paid for him with offers of around £20million ready to be heard.
But the Frenchman’s £240,000-a-week wages are proving a massive stumbling block to any move with no club prepared to match that.

Martial still has two years left on that deal which means United may have to agree to a pay off to get him out of Old Trafford.
Sevilla in La Liga showed interest last season when they took him on a fourth month loan in the second-half of last season.
But the frontman flopped and he will return for pre-season training at Carrington on Monday.
United are also actively trying to find a buyer for centre-back Eric Bailly having offered him to Newcastle United – but that was met with a lukewarm response.
Having signed a new contract in April 2021 he still has two years left of his current contract.
As with Martial, United are ready to take a hit on the 28-year-old with an asking price of just £8.5million for a player who costs them £30million from Villarreal in 2016.
Hammers can nail Maehle to move
Atalanta wing-back Joakim Maehle is on West Ham’s radar.
That’s according to Tutto Atalanta, who suggest the Hammers are the only club to show serious interest in the Denmark star so far.
Atalanta reportedly rate Maehle, whose contract runs out in 2025, at around £15-17million.

    Hazard lights up the Toon
Newcastle are reportedly closing in on the signing of Borussia Dortmund star Thorgan Hazard.
The Germans want £12million for the 29-year-old winger, according to Bild.

The 45-cap Belgium star is under contract at Dortmund until 2024.
Bild say he is already one of the top earners at the Bundesliga club.
But they report he is keen to boost his wages to about £6m-per-year – and that is ‘peanuts’ to money-bag Magpies.
The German newspaper also point out Hazard will face competition for his spot next season from the likes of Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, 17, Gio Reyna, 19, and new recruit Karem Adeyemi, 20.
    Foxy move to avoid carnival
Leicester’s Premier League opener against Brentford has been  moved back by a day – to avoid a clash with the city’s Caribbean Carnival.
The Foxes were due to kick-off their campaign with a home fixture against the Bees at 3pm on Saturday, just two hours after the Carnival’s 1pm start.
That would have been a logistics nightmare with up to 80,000 people expected to attend the Carnival, which has returned after a three year absence due to Covid concerns.
However any potential clash and draw on police resources was avoided after the Foxes agreed to switch their game to Sunday, August 7 with an earlier 2pm kick off.
Chelsea ‘ready to offer £50m for Richarlison’
Chelsea could steal a march on Arsenal and Tottenham with a £50million bid for Richarlison.
The Mail suggest the Blues are keen on Everton’s Brazil striker as well as Manchester City’s England attacker Raheem Sterling.
New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is reportedly happy to spend big in this transfer window.

Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle are among the other clubs linked with the 25-year-old.
Utd ‘ready to big bid on Evanilson’
Manchester United could bid more than £60million for Porto striker Evanilson.
The Brazilian’s agent Marcio Barros insists only Brighton have so far made a formal offer for the 22-year-old.
Barros spoke out after reports in Portugal that United had bid around £53m – compared to the £70m Porto are said to want.
Evanilson, capped only at Under-23 level, notched 21 goals and five assists in 45 games last season.

Arsenal and Newcastle head Manchester United and City in the hunt for Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz.
That’s the claim from Italy’s Corriere dello Sport, who say the Serie Agiants want £26million for the Spain star.
Napoli still hope to keep the 26-year-old but might cash in this summer as he only has one year left on his contract.
    Newcastle close in on Pope
Newcastle “are close” to agreeing a deal to sign goalkeeper Nick Pope from Burnley – but they have been left frustrated on the transfer front elsewhere.

According to Ukrainian football journalist Viktor Vatsko, the Cottagers are ‘genuinely interested’ in signing him.
But, they face competition from MLS clubs Inter Miami, New York City FC and LAFC.
One other English side is also said to be interested along with Al Shabab, who play in the Saudi Pro League.

Xavi is still confident Dembele can do the job for Barca next season, despite his injury woes.
But he’s yet to sign a new contract with Barca, and Chelsea have held talks over a possible free transfer to London.
    Chelsea eye new transfer supremo
Chelsea are reportedly eyeing Atletico Madrid transfer supremo Andrea Berta to replace Marina Granovskaia.
And the Blues could be in luck as Berta isn’t very comfortable in Madrid, according to AS.

Although the Blues will have to move quick as his future needs to be sorted in the next few weeks, it was added.

Real Madrid ace Toni Kroos is reportedly considering a future away from the club.
The midfielder has asked to be given some time before agreeing to a contract renewal that will keep him at Madrid until 2024, according to SPORT.
The German is assessing his future role at the club after the arrivals of youngsters Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni.
However, Real and club boss Carlo Ancelotti want Kroos to stay put, the report adds.

Man United have been warned that Christian Eriksen isn’t a good fit for the club by Danny Murphy.
Murphy explained on talkSPORT: “If you look at the Manchester United option, I don’t see that.
“If Ten Hag thinks he’s going to play Eriksen and Fernandes in the same team in the midfield with only one holding player, they’ll end up finishing worse off than they did this season.
“Unless he’s going to bring him in as back-up to Fernandes to play as a No.10, or is he going to play him as a central midfielder?”

As with Martial, United are ready to take a hit on the 28-year-old with an asking price of just £8.5million for a player who costs them £30million from Villarreal in 2016.
    Utd CEO meets ex-chief Gill
Manchester United CEO Richard Arnold has been pictured having lunch with David Gill.
Arnold, who became the first person to hold that title at United since Gill in 2013, was spotted at the Italian restaurant Cibo in Hale Village.
Gill joined the club in 1997, spending ten years as CEO, and went on to have roles at the FA while now working for UEFA.

Accountant Arnold succeeded the unpopular Ed Woodward in February.
During Gill’s time at Old Trafford, he oversaw as Sir Alex Ferguson won NINE Premier League titles and two Champions League medals.
And Arnold could have been picking his brains ahead of the upcoming season.
Their lunch comes after Arnold was filmed branding last season a “f***ing nightmare” in another Cheshire day out.

He has been pictured enjoying days out with his family on his £5.5m Azimut Grande superyacht, which is moored in Port Adriano in the south-west of Majorca.
And the dad-of five is believed to be renting a luxury villa near the scene of Monday morning’s accident. Ronaldo also spent time with niece Alicia and even participated in a TikTok, dancing topless and showing off his loose hips.

Manchester United could bid more than £60million for Porto striker Evanilson.

Barros spoke out after reports in Portugal that United had bid around £53m – compared to the £70m Porto are said to want.

Arsenal and Newcastle head Manchester United and City in the hunt for Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz.
That’s the claim from Italy’s Corriere dello Sport, who say the Serie Agiants want £26million for the Spain star.

“It just depends how you start the season and how well you manage the confidence within the team.”
    Barcelona make La Liga claim
Barcelona have blamed La Liga for Man United’s failed pursuit of Frenkie de Jong.
United are unwilling to pay the £73m price tag Barca slapped on the Dutch midfielder.
But Barca claim they have to charge the exorbitant fee in order to conduct their own business deals this summer.
A report from ESPN said Barca revealed their valuation is down to the fact that their ‘hands are tied’ by La Liga rules that state they can only reinvest one-third of the money they raise from sales or save in wages.
    Anthony compared to United wingers
Man United target Antony is head and shoulders above the club’s current wingers as he nears a £40million move to Old Trafford.

Here SunSport takes a look at how the ex-Sao Paulo ace compares to United’s current crop of wingers.

“The agreement is that he will call me and tell me what he wants to do. He hasn’t decided yet.”

Real are watching him “very closely” but there are also other clubs keeping an eye on ongoing talks.
    Ronaldo made player ‘feel small’
Cristiano Ronaldo made a fellow player feel small when he asked the Portuguese ace for his shirt.
German ace Robin Gosens revealed he asked Ronaldo for his shirt when he played for Juventus but the attacker completely ignored him.
Gosens, who played for Atalanta at the time, said in his autobiography: “After the final whistle I went to him… but Ronaldo did not accept.
“I asked: ‘Cristiano, can I have your shirt?’. He didn’t even look at me, he just said: ‘No!’.
“I was completely ashamed. I went away and felt small. You know that moment when something embarrassing happens and you look around to see if anyone noticed it? That’s what I felt and tried to hide it.”
    United bid for Napoli ace
Man United have made a transfer approach for Napoli ace Fabian Ruiz, according to reports.
Ruiz has a year left on his Napoli contract and is yet to commit his future to the club.
Napoli are open to selling Ruiz to avoid him leaving for free next summer.
And United, along with Arsenal, have made a transfer bid for the 26-year-old, the Boot Room reported.
The Prem sides will be able to get Napoli to the negotiation table with a bid of £25.8m, the report adds.
    Neville slams Glazers dividend windfall
Gary Neville has slammed the Glazers’ plan to take £11million in dividends from Manchester United this week.
And the Red Devils legend has urged them to invest in the stadium and training ground instead.
Also insisting United need more money to land Erik ten Hag’s top transfer targets, Neville tweeted: “The Glazer Family should NOT be taking £11m in dividends this Friday.
“It isn’t right with the investment needed in the team, stadium and training ground.
“The club’s cash position is low compared to previous years.
“An announcement is needed to halt it for the next three years minimum.”
    Garnacho takes Ibiza summer break
Man United wonderkid Alejandro Garnacho has taken a summer break in Ibiza after an impressive term that saw him gaining Lionel Messi’s respect.
After a busy campaign, Garnacho decided to wind down with a holiday in Ibiza.
The Argentina international linked up with some pals and took to Spain on a yacht.
The forward shared some snaps on Instagram showing him getting got some sun and enjoyed his time with jet skis.

    Fulham track Musa Barrow
Fulham have put Musa Barrow high up on their summer transfer wish-list.
The highly-rated Bologna winger would cost the newly promoted Premier League side around £16million.
The Gambia international joined the Serie A side from Atalanta two years ago and has risen through the ranks.
His deal runs until June 2024 and he played 35 games for Bologna last term, hitting six goals and adding seven assists.
The Cottagers’ other targets include  Sporting CP midfielder Joao Palhinha, Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon and Real Betis left-back Alex Moreno.
Fulham see Barrow as someone capable of playing alongside fellow winger Solomon.

Cronica Balear has claimed the unnamed bodyguard got out of the car to continue his journey and left other staff employed by the Manchester United striker at the scene to receive the police.

    Man United given Eriksen warning
Man United have been warned that Christian Eriksen isn’t a good fit for the club by Danny Murphy.
Murphy explained on talkSPORT: “If you look at the Manchester United option, I don’t see that.
“If Ten Hag thinks he’s going to play Eriksen and Fernandes in the same team in the midfield with only one holding player, they’ll end up finishing worse off than they did this season.
“Unless he’s going to bring him in as back-up to Fernandes to play as a No.10, or is he going to play him as a central midfielder?”
    Kroos debates Real Madrid future
Real Madrid ace Toni Kroos is reportedly considering a future away from the club.
The Chelsea and Man United linked midfielder has asked to be given some time before agreeing to a contract renewal that will keep him at Madrid until 2024, according to SPORT.
The German is assessing his future role at the club after the arrivals of youngsters Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni.
However, Real and club boss Carlo Ancelotti want Kroos to stay put, the report adds.
    Ferdinand on Man United’s defence
Rio Ferdinand reckons Man United could offload a few defenders to make space for Ajax ace Jurrien Timber.
He said: “I’ll be interested to see what Ten Hag does in that area.
“We’re talking about the young lad, Timber, at Ajax, a small centre-half.
“I’ll be interested to see what happens with Varane, Lindelof and Maguire, Bailly as well, I think one or two of those will go.”
    Rabbit in the headlights
Man United legend Rio Ferdinand has claimed Raphael Varane was like a “rabbit in headlights” during his first season at the club.
Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel: “He’s probably sitting there like a rabbit in the headlights thinking “wow, what is this?”
“He hasn’t been the player we expected… he would tell you that, he couldn’t tell you anything else.
“He’ll be saying ‘I’ve got to up the levels next year. I need help’.”
    Torres set for Prem transfer
Man United transfer target Pau Torres will likely ply his trade in the Premier League next season.
That’s the view of Fabrizio Romano who said to Give Me Sport: “I see Pau Torres playing in the Premier League next season because it’s a serious possibility, but at the moment, it’s still not something advanced between clubs.
“So I think they are considering together with Erik ten Hag the best option and then they will jump into it.”

Man United have not made a bid for Porto ace Evanilson, according to his agent.

    Good morning Red Devils fans
Cristiano Ronaldo’s £1.7million Bugatti was CRASHED in Majorca – but CR7 wasn’t the man behind the wheel.
There is material damage to the wall with investigators attempting to ascertain whether another vehicle was involved.
United have made a formal approach for soon-to-be free agent Christian Eriksen.
The Dane got his career back on track with Brentford last season after being released by Inter Milan following his collapse at Euro 2020.
Eriksen proved he could still cut it at the top level.
Sky Sports are reporting that United have approached Eriksen’s representatives.
And finally, Erik ten Hag is planning on making at least five signings this summer, according to reports.
Ten Hag, 52, has a lengthy shortlist but has identified a handful of top targets to help re-build the club, according to Manchester Evening News.

Man Utd willing to take £30m hit on Anthony Martial and Eric Bailly with both flops available for cut-price transfers

Eric Bailly will also be shown the door for a fraction of his 2016 priceCredit: Getty
But the player flopped and he will return for pre-season training at Carrington on Monday.

The attacker recorded his career best stats for United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2019-20 hitting 23 goals in 48 games.
His slide since then has been dramatic, scoring just eight goals for United over the last two seasons.
He has 79 goals in 269 games in all since his switch from Monaco in 2015.
Now 26 he should be in the peak years of his career and it remains to be seen in new boss Erik ten Hag can work with the player if as seems likely he has to stay.

The club are also actively trying to find a buyer for centre-back Eric Bailly having offered him to Newcastle United – but that was met with a lukewarm response.
Having signed a new contract in April 2021 he still has two years left of his current contract.
As with Martial, United are ready to take a hit on the 28-year-old with an asking price of just £8.5million for a player who costs them £30million from Villarreal in 2016.
After a promising start he has played just 45 Premier League games for the club in the last five seasons due to form and injuries.
There have been no firm offers for centre-back Phil Jones either who still has a year left on his current deal.
Injury problems have reduced the 30-year-old to just six Premier League games in the last three seasons.

Chelsea ready to make £50m Richarlison bid, Sterling ‘£45m deal once Lukaku Inter loan is complete’, transfer latest

CHELSEA are reportedly willing to make a £50million bid for Everton forward Richarlison. The Blues will also step up their pursuit of Raheem Sterling once Romelu Lukaku has been loaned to Inter Milan.
The Blues’ original offer of £35m is not believed to be sufficient to force Man City’s hand, as Pep Guardiola looks for a fee above £50m.
£45m is said to be a realistic sum if the two clubs decide to meet in the middle.
Meanwhile Marina Granovskaia is set to leave Chelsea FC this summer as the London club continue their massive structural shake-up.
The former chief assistant to Roman Abramovich will vacate her position, with Todd Boehly to take care of transfer negotiations.

    Raheem ‘asks about Blues’
Raheem Sterling has reportedly been making enquiries about Chelsea ahead of a £45m transfer.
The Man City ace has contacted two people to get a lay of the land in West London, according to The Athletic.
And Sterling was keen to find out what Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is like to work with.
He was also interested in what it’s like to play for the Blues, it was added.
Barca give Chelsea free run at Kounde
Chelsea have reportedly been given a free run at signing Jules Kounde.
That’s because Barcelona are unable to meet Sevilla’s £65million asking price.

The LaLiga giants are already set to snap up Andreas Christensen on a free transfer from Chelsea.
But Marca claims Xavi Hernandez is also keen on signing Kounde to create a new defensive partnership.
The Frenchman has become one of Europe’s top centre-backs after some fine performances for club and country.
And Sevilla feel Kounde should be selling for around £65m this summer.
And Richarlison’s value soared with six goals in the last nine games of the Premier League season to help Everton stay up.
Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle are among the other clubs linked with the 25-year-old.
    Gunners eye Alvaro
Ex-Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is said to be in Arsenal’s sights.
Atletico Madrid’s Spain ace, 29, has just enjoyed two reasonably successful seasons on loan with Juventus.
Fabio Vieira and Marquinhos have already joined the Gunners this summer.
And Caught Offside claims Arsenal have even made a bid for the former Real Madrid targetman Morata.
    Louis Saha makes shock claim
Louis Saha has backed Everton and boss Frank Lampard to break into the Premier League ‘Big Six’ next season.
He told BoyleSports EPL Betting: “A lot of teams in the Premier League can be in the top six and become the challenger to the top four and Everton can be one of those teams.
“It just depends how you start the season and how well you manage the confidence within the team.”
    Chelsea track Lewandowski transfer
Chelsea have asked to be kept informed about Robert Lewandowski’s transfer situation.
Lewandowksi is poised to join Barcelona, and has reportedly agreed terms with the Catalan giants.
But the Blues are on standby incase the proposed deal falls through, according to 90min.
The Blues view him as a viable option to replace Romelu Lukaku who’s set to join Inter Milan.
    Tuchel is keen on Sterling
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is keen on bringing in Raheem Sterling as he looks to strengthen the Blues’ attack.
The Blues struggled for goals last season, and Tuchel wants to refresh the club’s forward line, according to The Athletic.
And Sterling is the man to bear the goals the Blues need in the new campaign, it was added.
    Sterling ‘makes Chelsea enquiry’
Raheem Sterling has reportedly been making enquiries about Chelsea ahead of a £45m transfer.
The Man City ace has contacted two people to get a lay of the land in West London, according to The Athletic.
And Sterling was keen to find out what Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is like to work with.
He was also interested in what it’s like to play for the Blues, it was added.
    Sevilla ‘pleased with Kounde attention’
Sevilla are happy both Chelsea and Barcelona are chasing Jules Kounde, reports claim.
The Liga Liga club reckon Barca’s presence in negotiations adds pressure on interested parties, according to Marca.
But neither Chelsea or Barca have tabled an official bid for Kounde thus far, the report adds.
However, they’re aware the Blues have agreed a five-year deal with Kounde and are waiting for the Todd Boehly to complete his internal restructure before they can sit down and complete a transfer fee set to exceed £51.6m, it was also stated.
    Makelele’s international coach dreams
Claude Makelele has declared his aim to become Congo’s national coach.
The Chelsea legend was born in the African country before moving to France.
He told Canal Plus: “Speaking personally, I feel ready to manage the DRC national team.
“We all need to sit down together in order to restructure football in the Democratic Republic of Congo.”
    Enough to buy a club
Marina Granovskaia is set to leave Chelsea with a fortune so big she could afford her own football club, with Everton a possible option.
The club director, 47, will leave Stamford Bridge at the end of this month, according to reports.
Chelsea have not yet officially announced Granovskaia’s departure, but The Times have reported that she is expected to walk away with a £20million bonus.
While this may sound like a huge sum, it is just a small fraction of what Granovskaia is worth.
Her estimated net-worth is £1.55billion – enough to purchase her own football club.
She could even buy Everton, who have reportedly been put up for sale by owner Farhad Moshiri.
    Rudiger reveals Barcelona interest
Antonio Rudiger has revealed that he rejected Barcelona in order to sign for Real Madrid.
The German defender was unveiled by Los Blancos yesterday after completing his free transfer from Chelsea.
And he said at the ceremony: “There was interest from Barcelona.
“I told my agent that it was Madrid or nothing.”
    She’s a Kepa
Chelsea star Kepa Arrizabalaga’s girlfriend Andrea Martinez looked hotter than the weather in a skimpy bikini on holiday in Spain.
The Spanish beauty queen posted a sizzling selfie on Instagram as she relaxed with the Blues keeper this week.
Martinez, 29, revealed in early spring she is dating the 11-cap Spain star, 27.
And their latest social media images suggest the burgeoning relationship is going very well.

The attractive couple are pictured gazing lovingly at each other in an infinity pool on a gloriously sunny day in Majorca.
    Lukaku ‘called Inter boss directly’
Romelu Lukaku reportedly wished Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi happy birthday before Chelsea lost to Real Madrid in the Champions League.
The Blues lost 3-1 to Real in the European competition.
And prior to the game Lukaku called Inzaghi to speak about a return to Italy and to wish the Inter boss happy birthday, the Daily Mail reported.
    Xavi makes Dembele plea
Barcelona boss Xavi has reportedly issued a last-ditch plea to the club’s board to keep hold of Ousmane Dembele.
Dembele’s been linked with a move to Chelsea, but Xavi wants to keep hold of the winger, according to the Daily Mail.
Which is a why a switch to London wouldn’t be complicated for the Italian, the report adds.
Although the Blues will have to move quick as his future needs to be sorted in the next few weeks, it was added.
    Chelsea in constant contact w/Kounde
Chelsea and Jules Kounde’s camp have been in constant contact over the defender, reports claim.
The Blues even reached out to the Sevilla ace’s agent Jonathan Kebe on Monday, according to ABC Sevilla.
And sorting out Kounde’s future is Kebe’s main focus after he facilitated Aurélien Tchouaméni’s move to Real Madrid, the report adds.
    Chelsea in Kounde transfer boost
Chelsea have received a huge boost in their pursuit of Jules Kounde.
That’s because Barcelona have reportedly cooled interest in the defender due to Sevilla’s price demands.
Sevilla want £51m for the centre-back, which is a price Barca are reluctant to pay.
And with Sevilla refusing to budge, Barca have pulled the plug on negotiations, according to Marca.
    Arsenal bid for Morata
Arsenal have reportedly placed a transfer bid for ex-Chelsea star Alvaro Morata.
The Gunners have already snagged Fabio Vieira and Marquinhos this summer.
And now Caught Offside report the North Londoners have made a move to bring in Morata from Juventus.
Although it’s unclear how much the Gunners put up for the striker.
    Lukaku to Inter edges closer
Inter Milan are reportedly hopeful that they can complete a deal to bring Romelu Lukaku back to the club this week.
Inter cannot afford to buy him outright this summer – but talks have been taking place over a package to get him on loan.
Now transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has offered an update on the situation and he suggests that an agreement could be finalised over the coming days if the Serie A club meet Chelsea’s demand and pay an £8.5m loan fee plus add-ons.
He tweeted: “Inter are optimistic to get Romelu Lukaku’s deal done by the end of this week. €7m plus add-ons bid already submitted, Chelsea asked for €10m. plus add-ons.
“There’s no obligation to buy clause included in the negotiation as things stand. Never been discussed.”
    Good morning Chelsea fans
West Ham are trying to negotiate a deal for Chelsea striker Armando Broja.
The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Southampton, where he impressed.
And according to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Hammers are trying to negotiate a deal for Broja – believed to be in the region of £25million-£30m.
Romelu Lukaku’s return to Inter Milan on loan is being held up by the Italian club’s president.
Chelsea are keen to sort Lukaku’s situation after the club record signing struggled to produce results.
Lukaku played some of his best football at the San Siro, helping Inter win the 2020/21 Scudetto.
However, Inter president Steven Zhang is said to have baulked at proposed loan fee/salary, according to The Athletic.
New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly could take control of transfer business after it was announced Marina Granovskaia would leave.
The Mirror are reporting that Boehly could be the man who’ll try and land Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling, as well as Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.

    Premier League table prediction
A supercomputer has predicted how the Premier League table will finish at the end of the coming season.
The fixtures for the English top flight were released on Thursday as all 20 clubs discovered the order of their matches for the 2022/23 campaign.
nd while many signings have already been made by a number of the top clubs, research by betting app SBK has come to the conclusion that Manchester City will retain their Premier League crown.
The supercomputer also believes the top four will stay the same as last season – with Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham occupying the Champions League qualification places.
This will mean more disappointment for Manchester United fans and new head coach Erik ten Hag.

    ‘Sterling won’t solve Tuchel’s problems’
Raheem Sterling won’t solve Chelsea’s problems, says former star Franck Leboeuf.
The England international is being linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in what could be a £60million transfer.
Leboeuf told ESPN: “If you have Sterling at his best, no doubt that it’s a plus.
“But what kind of player Chelsea would get I don’t know. Definitely he’s a fantastic player and can bring something special.
“That’s not going to resolve the problems Chelsea have, I think in terms of scoring goals and bringing the confidence back to all the players.
“What it’s not going to resolve as well is the crosses from the two wings, by Reece James and [Ben Chilwell].
“It’s going to be tricky if they don’t find somebody who can head the ball because neither Sterling nor Werner, Pulisic or even Mount are capable of giving something special from crosses.
“Maybe Havertz can but it’s not enough in the squad.”
