And Saint-Maximin ticks all the boxes Erik ten Hag is looking for in a wide-man.
Incredibly, Toon boss Howe was looking to SELL his star player just a few months ago.

First choice keeper David De Gea is claimed to be unsuited to the Dutchman’s preferred style of play, so United officials have been scouting someone who is comfortable playing out from the back.
And according to Bild, Trapp has emerged as a priority target.
Man Utd have already made an offer for the 32-year-old, who was part of Eintracht Frankfurt’s Europa League-winning squad.
It’s currently unclear how much the offer was worth or whether the bid will be successful.

Trapp may also decide to reject the move if he is not promised regular first-team football at Old Trafford – something that he is guaranteed at Frankfurt.
The goalkeeper joined the Bundesliga side on a permanent basis in 2019 – one year after a season-long loan spell at the Waldstadion.
He has since made 261 appearances for Frankfurt and kept 59 clean sheets.
Ten Hag could bring in Trapp to REPLACE De Gea, who has experienced a disastrous start to the Premier League campaign, as United’s No1.

De Gea has conceded six goals so far – two against Brighton in the opening match at Old Trafford and four against Brentford.
Meanwhile, United loanee Dean Henderson has had a fantastic start to the season with Nottingham Forest.
He helped Steve Cooper’s side to a 1-0 win over West Ham two weeks ago by saving a penalty from the Hammers’ skipper Declan Rice.
The Red Devils have been keeping tabs on a few other targets for the position over the past few weeks.
They are currently in the race to sign Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos along with Prem rivals Leicester City.
Southampton’s Alex McCarthy is also on the transfer shortlist. More

The 29-year-old is unhappy at Chelsea due to a lack of game time and he wants a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
Since making the transfer to West London back in 2020 for a fee of £36million, Ziyech has scored 14 goals in 84 matches.
At the Eredivisie champions his record is much improved netting 49 goals and registering 81 assists in 165 games.

With the Amsterdam based side ready to let Antony go to Manchester United their could be a spot in the side for Ziyech.
AC Milan also reportedly have an interest in him as did United due to Erik ten Hag working with Ziyech before but it appears they are now prioritising other targets.
Thomas Tuchel has splashed the cash this summer and the extra attacking addition of Raheem Sterling will further restrict Ziyech’s opportunities.
Chelsea need to offload players though and are looking to get rid of the likes of Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi too.

The Blues are keen on Wesley Fofana of Leicester but it could take an £80million offer for the Foxes to accept a bid.

If a deal cannot be done they could make a shock move for Brighton star Adam Webster, according to reports. More

But after being strongly linked with United, Kalajdzic could end up at Wolves instead.
The Austria international, 25, has scored 24 goals in 60 games for Stuttgart.
And that fine form saw him work his way onto United’s shortlist for a new attacker.
Kalajdzic was also thought to be keen on a move to Old Trafford.

But a bid has so far failed to materialise.

And talks with Kalajdzic are now thought to be well advanced.
The ace’s decision to enter negotiations with Wolves comes after he was warned off a transfer by international boss Ralf Rangnick.
The tactician was in charge of United as an interim last term.
And he told Kalajdzic his development was best served by staying put at Stuttgart.
Rangnick said: “It is important that Sasa remains injury-free this season and trains and plays at the highest possible level.
“If he stays in Stuttgart this season, it will not be detrimental to his development.” More

Arsenal in talks to sign Pedro Neto and willing to offer £35m but Wolves want £50m for transfer

ARSENAL are trying to negotiate a deal for Wolves winger Pedro Neto but will not be held to ransom for the Portuguese international.Manager Mikel Arteta has been looking to replace Nicolas Pepe all summer and has identified Neto as a potential signing.

But after being priced out of a deal for midfielder Ruben Neves earlier in the summer, Arsenal are wary of Wolves’ demands for their 22-year-old wide player.
It is understood that Arsenal are prepared to offer as much as £35million for Neto, who arrived at Molineux in an £18m double transfer with Bruno Jordao when he joined from Lazio three years ago.
But Wolves are looking for at least £50m despite just signing a ready replacement in £27.5m Goncalo Guedes.
And that is a price which Arsenal are reluctant to pay after already spending £120m this summer on Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Marquinhos.

They are also resigned to taking a massive hit on Pepe, the £72m club record signing who is set to join Nice on loan with an option to buy next summer for around £15m.
And Pepe’s imminent departure leaves Arteta short on competition for Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli with the extra demands of the Europa League this season.
But Neto only signed a new Molineux five-year contract in March after missing most of last season with a serious knee injury.
And boss Bruno Lage has made it clear that he wants to keep the player unless someone makes the kind of offer which the club cannot refuse.

With only ten days remaining before the transfer window closes, Arsenal do not want to get sucked into any last-minute buying.
After winning their opening three games to top the Premier League for the first time in six years, Arteta says: “We know where we are short and where we have to add more firepower.
“If we can do something we will do it, but it has to be the right player.
We only want top quality, otherwise it’s not worth it.
“If we don’t get anyone, I’ll be totally happy with the squad I have.”

Arteta’s biggest issue right now is keeping everyone he already has on board happy after naming an unchanged team for their first three games.
With Vieira, Emile Smith Rowe, Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu all now fully fit, Arsenal are almost spoiled for choice.
And Arteta admits: “The first weeks of the competition are tricky because we’re only playing once a week.

“There’s no Europa League and no cup ties, so we’re going to have to manage the frustrations of players who sometimes are not even going to be in the squad.
