      LEEDS have completed the signing of midfielder Tyler Adams from RB Leipzig for £20million. The American becomes the Whites’ fifth summer signing and is a replacement for Kalvin Phillips, who joined Manchester City for £45m.

      Adams, 23, has spent his entire career in the Red Bull group, starting his career in New York before spending four seasons with Leipzig. 
      The defensive midfielder was handed his debut by Leeds’ American boss Jesse Marsch in New York and also played under him in Germany.
      Capped 30 times by the US, Adams penned a five-year deal at Elland Road.
      Leeds have now spent £70m, with Adams joining fellow American Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca and youngster Darko Gyabi joining Adams at the Yorkshire club.

      BAYERN MUNICH director Oliver Kahn has confirmed that the club will not attempt to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.Last week Ronaldo, 37, informed Manchester United officials that he wants to leave this summer.

      He was due to hold crisis talks with Erik ten Hag on Monday, but his return to pre-season training was delayed for family reasons.
      Now he has been granted indefinite leave by the new boss and his staff, who currently do not know when he will be back.
      Meanwhile, United chiefs have insisted that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will remain at Old Trafford until his contract expires next year, but various clubs have already expressed an interest in signing him.
      One club rumoured to be interested was Bayern Munich, however, Kahn has admitted that Ronaldo would not fit into the squad.
