      Maatsen snubs Feyenoord transfer to fight for Chelsea future after being lined up to replace Man Utd-bound Malacia

      IAN MAATSEN is set to snub a move to Feyenoord in order to fight for his Chelsea future, according to reports.The 20-year-old has been targeted by the Dutch side as they look to replace Tyrell Malacia, who has signed for Manchester United.

      But Maatsen has supposedly rejected a move to the club that he was at as a child and has informed manager Arne Slot of his decision, claim Dutch outlet AD.
      The left-back spent last season away from Stamford Bridge on loan at Championship outfit Coventry.
      He played 42 times for them, scoring three times.
      In the 2020/21 campaign he was on loan at Charlton in League One.

      Richarlison BANNED for first game of season with Tottenham debut delayed after lobbing firework while at Everton

      NEW Tottenham signing Richarlison has been banned for one game for lobbing a lit flare at Goodison Park last season.The Brazilian, who last week completed a £60million switch to Spurs, was charged by the FA for the incident which took place during Everton’s 1-0 win over Chelsea in May.

      Richarlison, 25, scored the only goal of the game and then picked up the firework in celebration and threw it back into the crowd.
      The Football Association have now decided to punish the former Toffee, meaning he will miss Spurs’ curtain-raiser at home to Southampton on August 6.
      He has also been fined £25,000 for his actions.
      An FA statement read: “An independent Regulatory Commission has suspended Richarlison de Andrade for one match and fined him £25,000 following a breach of FA Rule E3 that took place during a Premier League game on Sunday 1 May 2022.
