      Wanda Nara’s ex-husband Maxi Lopez hopes to complete Birmingham takeover ‘within three weeks’

      WANDA NARA’S ex-husband Maxi Lopez is bidding to take control of Birmingham with partner Paul Richardson with the takeover to be completed “within three weeks”.The 38-year-old, who was married to Wanda before she coupled up with his former team-mate Mauro Icardi, has joined forced with local businessman Richardson.

      The consortium had been competing with ex-Watford owner Laurence Bassini to buy the Championship club.
      But former Barcelona and AC Milan forward Lopez and Richardson have been granted exclusivity to purchase the Blues from current owners Birmingham Sport Holdings.
      The pair visited St Andrew’s on Tuesday to begin due diligence having paid their deposit on Monday after they exchanged contracts on Saturday.
      Speaking to Sky Sports, Lopez, who was allegedly cheated on by Wanda with Icardi, revealed his desire to do “big things” for the city of Birmingham.

      Richardon, who owns fashion brand Hara and was a former executive at sportswear brand Gymshark, stated he hopes to take ownership of Birmingham within a month.
      He remarked: “We exchanged contracts on Saturday after many months.
      ”We paid our deposit on Monday and now we’re in today to start our work to find out how the club works – our due diligence.
      “We’ll then wait for EFL approval, which could take a couple, three weeks maybe, and then we go to completion.
      “We know exactly what we’ve got to do. It’s a project that’s for sure, but for us it’s going to be worth it, and for the fans.
      “We’ve got to get some solid foundations in first and then start to build on it.”

      Molineux forward Fabio Silva has joined Belgian club Anderlecht on a season-long loan, having first signed a one-year extension to his contract. 
      Silva, whose new deal runs until 2026, joined Wolves in September 2020 in a deal from Porto worth £37million.
      He has made only 17 Premier League starts, scoring four goals.
      Now, Belgian international Benteke, 31, is one of the options the west midlands club are considering.

      He signed a contract extension with Palace 12 months ago but Wolves are looking to boost their firepower.
      A £27million signing from Liverpool six years ago, Benteke has scored 36 goals in 162 Premier League appearances for the south London club.
      Palace went on a major revamp last year, letting a string of players in a mass clear-out with new boss Patrick Vieira signing a host of younger players.

      Leicester reject Boubakary Soumare transfer bid from Monaco with Brendan Rodgers holding out for £17m for midfielder

      LEICESTER CITY have reportedly rejected a bid worth £13million from Monaco for midfielder Boubakary Soumare. The 23-year-old is being linked with a move away from the Foxes just one season after joining the club.

      Ligue 1 outfit Monaco are keen on bringing Soumare back to France after he initially left Lille to join Leicester.
      They initially asked Leicester about the possibility of signing Soumare on loan, although the Foxes immediately rejected the proposal.
      Monaco then came back with a bid of £10m, rising to £13m with add-ons, according to Foot Mercato.
      But that offer is claimed to also have been rejected by the Premier League outfit.
