Man Utd outcast Donny van de Beek is January transfer target for Valencia but £100,000-a-week wages are huge problem

And after making just 54 appearances – many of which have come from the bench – Van de Beek could finally be offered the chance to leave.
According to TodoFichajes, Spanish side Valencia want to sign the midfielder in January.
A loan is the most likely course of action with United willing to allow the move to happen in similar fashion to last year when they sanctioned a loan to Everton in January.
However, his £100,000 per week wages are a huge stumbling block that needs to be overcome for a move to happen.

Valencia are insistent that United take on the majority of the burden, with their transfer goals for the window seeing them pursue two or three additions to the squad.
But interest in Van de Beek is not limited to the Spaniards, with the likes of Leicester, AC Milan and Ajax among the clubs who were interested in the summer.
With United accepting they are unlikely to recoup the £40million they shelled out for him, the Foxes are thought to be preparing a low-ball offer of £13m.
The former Ajax star made his return to the United fold during the 3-0 win over Sheriff after a two-month absence.

United boss Erik ten Hag was said to be shocked by Van de Beek’s lack of confidence in the summer.
But following his return to the team Ten Hag has insisted he has a role to play going forward despite not being first choice in the pecking order.
After the Sheriff game he said: “Donny came in the last part and he also had some good positions in between the lines. I think that combination was good.
“He was a long time out, I was happy to give him some minutes because you need that to get in the right form. He’s had to work himself back.
“He’s not even one week in training, same as Harry Maguire, so I was really happy to give Donny and Harry minutes because we need them in the coming weeks.

“When you analyse the season so far, then if he was available he’d get his chance.
“We need goals and I know Donny is really good in that position to score goals, but he’s also really good in defensive transition.” More

As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, he said: “We are currently not focused on the market – and we’re not planning to do anything in January.
“We want to keep this squad.”

Osimhen himself has been a big part of this success, scoring five goals in nine games.

Jorginho ‘makes Barcelona commitment’ with Chelsea star ‘to refuse all transfer offers until hearing Catalans’ proposal’

JORGINHO has made a transfer commitment to Barcelona, according to reports. And it is said the midfielder will refuse everything until he hears the offer from the Nou Camp.

Jorginho is set to become a free agent in the summer when his Chelsea contract expires.
According to Sport in Spain, he is determined to hold back on making any decisions so he can assess the possibility of heading to Barca.
However, he wants his future all sorted by January – but will have a month off in three weeks due to Italy’s failure to qualify for the World Cup.
Despite the Spanish giant’s financial chaos – the club are in £1billion of doubt – and spending £150million in the summer, Barcelona are still hopeful of adding new additions in 2023.

Director of football Mateu Alemany has identified out-of-contract players as the ideal signings to bring them in on a cut-price deal.
And 30-year-old Jorginho fits the bill.
It is reported the Italian international’s agent Joao Santos has already met with Barcelona to discuss a possible deal.
However, signing Jorginho depends on a variety of factors – namely the futures of midfielders Frenkie de Jong and Sergio Busquets and whether or not Barca go back in for Bernardo Silva.

There is also interest in Jorginho from Juventus – four-and-a-half years after the central midfielder left Serie A side Napoli to join Chelsea for £57.4m.
In his four seasons at Stamford Bridge, he has racked up more than 200 appearances and won the Champions League, Europa League, Super Cup and Club World Cup – as well as the Euros with Italy.
Jorginho could still stay at Chelsea, though, if the Blues make a new offer.
He has already allegedly rejected one contract as he wants improved £150,000-a-week wages. More

Manchester City appeared to always be in pole position for his signature, with Haaland reportedly jetting to Monaco for talks on several occasions before his switch.
But an old photo posted to Twitter by Football.London’s Chris Wheatley last season caused quite the stir among Arsenal fans.
In the snap Haaland can be seen wearing a yellow Gunners away kit with matching shorts.
The kit is dated from the 2010-11 season, and was also used as the away kit for the next two campaigns, but it’s unknown when the picture was taken.

Nevertheless some fans joked it was a sign that Haaland could have been heading to the Emirates this summer.
But none will be complaining about the addition of Gabriel Jesus instead, with the Brazilian firing Arsenal to the top of the league.
One excited supporter wrote on social media at the time: “He’s coming home then.”
Meanwhile another said: “He’s a Gooner through and through.”

Others called for Haaland’s Norway team-mate Martin Odegaard to help get a deal over the line, with one writing: “Agent Odegaard.”
Unfortunately for Arsenal fans, Haaland did end up opting for Man City instead.
He’s scored an incredible 22 goals in just 16 games under Pep Guardiola.

The Manchester United misfit returned to Erik ten Hag’s starting XI in last night’s Europa League win over Sheriff.
Ronaldo scored the final goal in a 3-0 thrashing at Old Trafford.
But he is unlikely to retain his place for this weekend’s Premier League clash with West Ham.
And after his strop against Spurs this month saw him axed from the first team, Ronnie continues to be linked with an exit in January.

One of those destinations could be Sporting Lisbon, with his former club “dreaming” of an exciting reunion.
Ronaldo has now added fuel to the fire by splashing the cash on a new luxury pad – just a 40 minute drive from the Portuguese capital.
The ace already boasts a massive property empire, having previously bought Lisbon’s most expensive flat.
It was reported earlier this year he was also looking to land a massive house back home.

And Marca claims between buying the gorgeous villa and renovating it, Ronnie has spent a whopping £18m in total.
That makes the mansion, located in the Cascais region and due to be ready in early 2023, the most expensive property in the country.
Based along the Portuguese Riviera in Quinta da Marinha, an exclusive residential area, the house is near to towns including Estoril and Sintra.
The specs are highly impressive too, with the mansion measuring 2,720 square metres across three floors.
There is also an outdoor area of 544 square metres, which includes various gardens and a massive swimming pool.
Ronaldo’s decision to buy such a luxurious property in Portugal hints that he is considering a return there shortly.

Sporting boss Ruben Amorim confirmed this week that he would love to have Ronaldo in his side.
But the superstar’s £360,000-a-week wages could prove to be a stumbling block.
Amorim said: “I don’t know. Ronaldo is a top player, a Man United player.
“Everyone in Sporting dreams of the return of Cristiano, so I don’t want to speak about that.
“He’s a Manchester United player, a top player, and he will be for a few months.
“I’m going to respond the same way as a lot of journalists in Portugal ask me that question a lot. He is a Manchester United player.

Cristiano Ronaldo REJECTED again as Napoli rule out January transfer with star facing reality of warming Man Utd bench

CRISTIANO RONALDO can rule out a move back to Italy with Napoli REJECTING the idea of signing the five-time Ballon d’Or winner in January.Ronaldo tried to leave Manchester United in the summer after the Old Trafford club failed to qualify for the Champions League.

However, a lack of suitors saw Ronaldo stay put at United, where he is out of favour under new boss Erik ten Hag.
The 701 club-goal man has started just two Premier League games and scored three goals across all competitions, including in Thursday’s Europa League win over Sheriff.
Ronaldo, 37, has had to watch on from the bench as Dutch boss Ten Hag prefers Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
And tensions boiled over in United’s 2-0 home win over the Tottenham when Ronaldo refused to come on as a late sub and stormed down the tunnel before full-time.

Such actions saw him be banished from the first-team for United’s trip to Chelsea last weekend, which ended 1-1.
Ronaldo’s contract at Old Trafford expires next summer but a January transfer away from the club after the World Cup has not been ruled out.
However, two clubs who were linked with Ronaldo in the summer, Marseille and now Napoli, have now snubbed the legendary striker.
Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli told DAZN: “Ronaldo in January? We won’t sign any player in January.

“We don’t need to change anything in this team. We’re doing great and we’re not planning any signings, as of today.”
And by “we don’t need to change anything in this team”, he is referring to the winning formula which has Napoli sat at the top of the Serie A and flying in the Champions League.
The European dark horses have a 100 per cent win record in their group, involving Liverpool, Ajax and Rangers, scoring 16 goals while conceding just four.
Marseille president Pablo Longoria also passed on the chance to sign Ronaldo, saying they will only sign team players – something Ronaldo is not.
Speaking to RMC Sport, Longoria said: “Football is very easy and you have to do what you can with the means you have at your disposal, always maintaining financial stability.
“Marseille need a balanced economic situation and we are a long way from being able to count on players like that, with great stars.
“We prefer team players, who put the individual at the service of the collective.

The Blues are said to have already enquired about him.
That’s partly because Chelsea’s 30-plus midfielders N’Golo Kante and Jorginho are out of contract in the summer.
But Guimareas claims he wants to become a Newcastle “legend”.
He recently said: “To change country, to change leagues, and in a World Cup year as well, it was a really hard decision.
“But I think it was the right one. I’m so happy. It’s an amazing step. I feel like a Geordie now.” More
