According to the Sunday Times, Kimpembe made the special request to the Ligue 1 champions and even held talks with Chelsea.

VINICIUS JUNIOR has reportedly followed Eder Militao and Rodrygo by signing a bumper new contract – with another mammoth release clause. The Brazilian winger, 22, was rewarded for another fine season at Real Madrid and is now one of their key stars.

But according to Fabrizio Romano, his new deal runs until June 2027.
And the release clause inserted is a staggering €1billion – or £850million.
