Former Chelsea manager Lampard has identified Coady as a key target before the transfer window slams shut.
According to Alan Myers, the Everton boss admires Coady’s experience and feels it would benefit his squad.
Wolves captain Coady has made 152 Premier League appearances.
The 29-year-old is both experienced and used to the demands of the Prem, playing all 38 games of Wolves’ league campaign last season.

Coady is also an England international, appearing 10 times under Gareth Southgate.
Wolves’ £20.5m acquisition of Burnley defender Nathan Collins could prove to be the key which could allow Coady to leave if Everton submit a bid.
Everton have already added James Tarkowski and Dwight McNeil from Burnley, and signed ex-Wolves man Ruben Vinagre on loan from Sporting Lisbon.
However, bearing in mind their struggles last season and the £60m loss of key forward Richarlison to Tottenham, this season could once again prove tricky for The Toffees.

And the club’s start has taken a worse turn, with talisman Dominic Calvert-Lewin picking up an injury just days before their Goodison Park opener against Chelsea.

Chelsea have first Wesley Fofana transfer bid of £63m rejected by Leicester despite huge financial problems

CHELSEA have had an opening offer for Wesley Fofana rejected by Leicester City despite a crippling financial situation at the club, reports suggest.Fofana, 21, is one of Chelsea’s targets in central defence this transfer window with the club needing to replace the losses of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.

Thomas Tuchel is keen to recruit Fofana and new owner Todd Boehly – who is also operating as the club’s interim director of football – has ramped up The Blues’ interest in recent weeks.
This has resulted in an opening bid for Fofana in the region of £63million.
But L’Equipe report this opening bid has been rejected.
Leicester are understood to be demanding a fee of at least £84million.

Chelsea are reluctant to match such a large fee for the Frenchman, but are willing to offer him a handsome £200,000 per week.
However, the precarious financial situation of Leicester could tip the balance of power in procuring Fofana more into their hands.

A report from The Times indicates a post-Covid hangover and lack of big-money sales have left The Foxes unable to invest in the first team this summer.
This has left Leicester in the unique position of being the only side to have not made a single signing despite the Premier League kicking off in a matter of days.

And Fofana is not the only player courting interest at the King Power Stadium, with James Maddison also the subject of a major bid from Newcastle.
Likewise, Youri Tielemans has been linked with a move to Arsenal, with The Gunners yet to submit a formal bid.
Manager Brendan Rodgers has grown concerned over the futures of a number of integral stars within his squad, but he cannot recruit replacements until there are sales.
He has also now lost the services of veteran goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel after he completed a shock move to Nice after a decade of service at the club, including a Premier League and FA Cup title.

While Fofana remains a priority target for Chelsea, they have also been in talks with Brighton to sign Man City target Marc Cucurella.
Reports suggested an agreement had been reached between the two clubs before The Seagulls issued a statement late last night denying this claim. More

Cristiano Ronaldo will finally make Man Utd ‘Great Escape’… and I don’t blame him for wanting out, says Piers Morgan

CRISTIANO RONALDO has been tipped to finally escape Manchester United, by pal Piers Morgan. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, 37, has been vocal in his desire to quit Old Trafford after the club’s 2021-22 horror show.

Ronaldo is still fitter than most players, says Piers Morgan
Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has contacted Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid over a summer move – with ALL three rejecting the veteran striker.
It speaks volumes of the former Real Madrid forward’s desire to escape the continually sinking ship that is Manchester United.
While fans have criticised Ronaldo for so openly trying to quit, Piers has revealed he doesn’t blame him – launching into a withering attack on United’s flops just days before the new season.
Piers told SunSport: “Ronaldo will extricate himself from his living nightmare at a rotting excuse for a giant global club that now bears no resemblance to the iconic place where he first cut his GOAT teeth.

“He may be 37 but he’s still fitter than most players and scored 18 Premier League goals last season, second behind joint Golden Boot winners Mo Salah and Son Heung-min.
“Yet pathetic media snipers have blamed HIM for United’s woes which is utter nonsense.
“Without him, they’d have been fighting relegation.
“Ronaldo’s looked at the dreadfully unambitious way United’s run these days — and the woefully entitled attitude of many of the younger players — and wants to run away from this trainwreck faster than United’s fastest fan, Usain Bolt.

    “I don’t blame him.”
And Piers wasn’t holding back as he tore into United’s flops ahead of the new season.
When asked who he believed would be the biggest failures of the season, Piers bluntly continued: “Manchester United.
“The biggest bunch of overpaid, under-performing wastrels in Premier League history will have another terrible season.
“So much expensive talent but so little dedication, commitment or pride in wearing those world-famous shirts.

A tweet read: “Contrary to inaccurate reports from numerous media outlets this evening, no agreement has been reached with any club to sell Marc Cucurella.”
Cucurella had handed in a transfer request to force through a move to the Citizens, but they were unwilling to pay more than £30m.
Pep Guardiola is now looking to bring Anderlecht ace Sergio Gomez to the Etihad as an alternative to Cucurella.
The 21-year-old joined the Belgian side from Borussia Dortmund a year ago and made 39 appearances last season, scoring six goals.

‘Youri Telemans would be ideal’ – Arsenal legend Nigel Winterburn says Leicester midfielder would be perfect transfer

Five players have been brought to the Emirates with Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos and Matt Turner all snapped up this summer.
And there have been strong rumours that Tielemans could be next, with the 25-year-old Belgian having just a year left on his deal at the King Power Stadium.
Leicester are reportedly expecting Arsenal to make a move for the star, but the North London outfit are yet to turn their interest into a formal approach.
It was claimed in June how Arsenal had already agreed personal terms with the player.

And Winterburn, who won three league titles with Arsenal between 1987 and 2000, thinks Tielemans would be a perfect fit due to his Premier League experience.
Speaking exclusively to SunSport on behalf of FreeSuperTips, the 58-year-old was asked who would his preferred signing be.
To which the two-time FA Cup winner said: “It’s a tough one, but I do think we still need a midfield player so somebody like a Tielemans would be ideal.
“He’s had Premier League experience so he would fit into the sort of players Arsenal are looking at.

“I just think with that transfer that it’s been mentioned for so long now that I’m not sure that it’s going to happen.
“But they need that sort of player in the midfield, you look at Arsenal’s activity over the past two seasons, there’s a lot of young talent coming in.
“There are also players coming in with Premier League experience as well, so I would think that’s the strategy Arsenal are going with.
“You’re never quite sure what’s fully going on at your club as a fan, but you’d think somebody along those lines would come in with Premier League experience.
“They’ll need to have the energy to play in this Arsenal side because I think Arsenal will look to play a pressing game this season, particularly at the start of games.
“Somebody like Tielemans will be good but trying to predict what Arteta and Edu are going to do can be difficult.
“It could be someone younger who we’ve not heard about and developing for the future which is what did last season and this season.
“But if they make another signing, I’m hoping it’s the right one and that they can come straight into this team.”
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has declared he hopes to bring in more players before the window slams shutCredit: Reuters
Winterburn was also full of praise for Arsenal’s new-look attack, as well as French centre-back William Saliba after an impressive pre-season following his loan at Marseille.
He remarked: “If you look at Saliba, he’s done very well defensively and it will be a step up for him in the Premier League, but he hasn’t done anything wrong.
“He looks comfortable, he looks good on the ball, and he has pace.
“Positioning wise it looks good, so let’s take it forward into the Premier League and see what happens there.
“With Jesus and Zinchenko I fit they’ll just slot right in, but what’s impressed me most is the link up play between Jesus, [Martin] Odegaard, [Bukayo] Saka and [Gabriel] Martinelli.

“That’s alongside the work rate and the pressing from the front, it’s high energy and if they can keep those players fit and in good form then it looks exciting.
“Arsenal certainly look like they have an exciting attacking line up for the season.” More
