The Red Devils are likely to command a high fee if PSG do come to the table with a bid, especially as they are on the lookout for a new forward themselves.
Rashford is out of contract next summer, but United do have the option to extend his deal for a further year.

Les Parisiens are want to sign a forward who can either play out wide or as the main striker.
Rashford himself can do both, having moved out to the wing in recent years after bursting onto the scene as a clinical centre-forward.

The Carrington Academy graduate has been linked with PSG in the past – when ex-boss Mauricio Pochettino was claimed to be a fan.
New sporting director Luis Campos is also reported to be an admirer.
PSG gaffer Christian Galtier confirmed this week that the club want to sign a new forward, and they are “working hard” to bring someone in.
He said: “We wish the arrival of a new striker. With a very busy calendar until Nov. 13, plus the World Cup, obviously we wish this arrival. The club is working very hard.
“I am in direct contact with [sporting director] Luis Campos on this and he is in direct contact with the management and our president.”
Galtier added: “I cannot confirm it but the club is working hard on this position.”
Rashford struggled for form last season, missing the start of the campaign due to a shoulder injury.

He scored just four goals in 25 Premier League games when he returned, seeing him lose his place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad.

The midfielder – and his agent mother – are reportedly asking for a whopping £8.5m a year contract to get the deal done.
And United chief John Murtough has jetted out to Italy in an attempt to finally land the Juventus midfielder.
The Mirror report that Rabiot’s mother, Veronique, has made it clear she will only deal with Murtough.
She is believed to be a tough negotiator and is reported to be making demands about Champions League football.

Hakim Ziyech ‘willing to take pay cut to seal AC Milan transfer’ as Italians prepare loan-to-buy bid for Chelsea winger

HAKIM ZIYECH is reportedly ready to accept a wage cut in order to seal a move to AC Milan. The 29-year-old is keen to leave Chelsea before the end of the transfer window.

AC Milan have been linked throughout the summer but a £30million investment on midfielder Charles De Ketelaere saw their transfer funds take a hit.
Although Ziyech’s willingness to cut his wages means the Serie A champions will now make the Blues an offer, according to Calciomercato.
The Moroccan winger earns a reported £100,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge – but is happy to take home less in order to secure a move.
And now the San Siro side want to loan Ziyech for the season, with the option to sign him permanently.

Chelsea though are believed to want AC Milan to have the obligation to buy Ziyech if he is loaned out, which would see him ultimately moved on for good.
The Rossoneri though are not prepared to include an obligation to buy in the deal.

That stumbling block means Ziyech’s future is unlikely to be resolved until the closing days of the window.
AC Milan are claimed to be willing to wait until then, hoping Chelsea’s desperation to shift him will lead to them accepting the offer from the Italians.

The Blues remain desperate for him to go, with Ziyech listed alongside Timo Werner, Malang Sarr and Marcos Alonso earlier this week as players free to leave the club.
Werner and Sarr have already gone, with Alonso reportedly set to complete a £6.5million move to Barcelona this week.
So the Blues could find themselves caving to Milan’s demands if Ziyech is still on the books come the final days of the window.
Ziyech started just 14 Premier League games last season, and Raheem Sterling’s arrival this summer will only restrict his game time further.
The Moroccan ace was an unused sub in Chelsea’s 1-0 win at Everton on Saturday. More

Thomas Tuchel has targeted Fofana as the long-term answer to his defensive problems after losing Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen this summer.
However the Foxes have rejected Chelsea’s first two offers of £60million and £70million for their outstanding prospect and are believed to be holding out for a world record fee in excess of £80million for the jewel in their crown.
Chelsea are weighing up whether to launch a third and final bid but Rodgers revealed he wasn’t aware of any fresh bids ahead of Saturday’s visit to Arsenal.
Rodgers said: “I’m not aware of any fresh offers.

“There were two bids but again nowhere near what the club would even think about.
“The point again to reiterate is we are not looking to sell Wesley, that’s the key point.
“I’ve had a chat with him and told him another year here for him, at least, would be really important for his development.
“He is quite calm and relaxed about the situation.

“He is aware of the interest. He understands where we are as a club and where we see him.
“He’s just getting on with his work and training well.”
While stressing Fofana isn’t for sale, Rodgers gave Chelsea a chink of light when he admitted it was natural for any club to consider bids – but warned time is running out for Leicester to find a suitable replacement.
He said: “He’s not a player we are actively looking to move on but naturally if there is interest from other clubs then of course that is looked at by the club.
“He’s a top young defender and there are not too many about at his age. He’s someone we’d love to keep here but we have to wait and see what develops.” More

Football’s most controversial transfers ever, including Cole and Tevez, as Man Utd forced to abandon Arnautovic swoop

MANCHESTER UNITED were forced to abandon their shocking pursuit of Marko Arnautovic after a furious fan backlash. The former Stoke and West Ham striker was, for some reason, seen as the solution to the Red Devils’ attacking woes by new boss Erik ten Hag.

But after news of the approach to Bologna broke, supporters let rip at the club for the bizarre transfer policy and United pulled the plug.
Ten Hag needs reinforcements to his squad before the transfer window closes, especially if Cristiano Ronaldo does force through an exit.
Wantaway Ronaldo only returned to Old Trafford a year ago – after a dramatic U-turn as he looked set to join Manchester City in what would have been another controversial transfer.
But should the deal for the fiery Austrian have been completed, he would have followed in the footsteps of other stars whose transfers caused quite the stir…

Carlos Tevez, Man Utd to Man City
With the Argentinian owned by a third party – agent Kia Joorabchian’s Media Sports Investment company – Tevez was technically on loan to Manchester United for two years.
The Red Devils dallied on a permanent deal, which allowed crosstown rivals Man City to swoop in 2009.
A billboard was then erected in Manchester facing in the direction of Salford with Tevez on a sky blue backdrop with the slogan ‘Welcome to Manchester’.
The whole matter left Sir Alex Ferguson incensed. “Stupid and arrogant,” he said of the poster. “A small club with a small mentality,” he labelled City.

    Sol Campbell, Spurs to Arsenal
Harry Kane can count his lucky stars it was not the Gunners trying to lure him away from Spurs last year.
In 2001, Sol Campbell’s contract with Tottenham was set to expire and was considering his options.
Few could believe the England legend would end up at arch-rivals Arsenal, after admitting he was seeking Champions League football.
It was “the ultimate act of betrayal”, according to the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust said.

    Ashley Cole, Arsenal to Chelsea
What goes around comes around in football, they say, and Ashley Cole leaving Arsenal for Chelsea was one Gunners fans STILL haven’t got over – often referring to him as ‘Cashley Cole’.
Chelsea and Jose Mourinho were accused of tapping up the ex-England left-back, when the pair met at a hotel restaurant to discuss a potential move.
At the time, Cole was disgruntled with a contract offer he’d received – famously admitting “I nearly swerved off the road” with the £55,000-per-week deal on the table.
All parties were fined for the tapping-up incident, but that didn’t stop Cole from making his move a year later.
Months later at Stamford Bridge, Arsenal fans showered the pitch with fake bank notes with Ashley Cole’s face on.

Luis Figo, Barcelona to Real Madrid
The Real Madrid presidential elections of 2000 brought arguably the most astonishing transfer in Spanish football history.
With Florentino Perez trailing in the polls, he launched an audacious bid for Barcelona talisman Luis Figo.
He offered the Portugal legend a guaranteed £1.6million if he lost the election, but if he won Figo would have to either move to Los Blancos or pay £19m in compensation.
Figo took the bait, and when Perez was voted in the £38m release clause was met and the winger joined Real.
When he returned to the Nou Camp in 2002, he was met with a hostile reaction, as well as a pig’s head that was thrown on to the pitch.

Roy Keane, Man Utd to Celtic
When Roy Keane made himself an enemy in the eyes of Sir Alex, there was no going back.
First, he reportedly argued with Fergie over the quality of the set-up at the Portuguese resort United were enjoying a pre-season training camp at in 2005.
Then, he blasted team-mates Rio Ferdinand, John O’Shea, Alan Smith, Kieran Richardson and Darren Fletcher in an interview with MUTV.
The explosive clip was never aired, but the damage was done. Keane was granted a free transfer – joining boyhood club Celtic.

    Roberto Baggio, Fiorentina to Juventus
The Diving Ponytail joined Juventus from Fiorentina in 1990 for a world record £8m fee.
But despite the huge cash windfall, Viola fans were fuming and they stormed the club’s offices – forcing president Flavio Pontello to hide in the stadium.
Amazingly, the riots saw 50 fans injured, while nine were arrested.
What happened next was even better. When the two played each other the following season, Baggio refused to take a penalty claiming Fiorentina keeper Gianmatteo Mareggini would know how to save it.
After he was substituted from the pitch, Baggio then picked up a Fiorentina scarf thrown at him and later revealed “his heart was purple”.

    Johan Cruyff, Ajax to Feyenoord
Forever the darling of Ajax fans, there was a time when Johan Cruyff threatened his reputation with them.
After giving them the best part of his football career, the Dutch club’s board felt the Netherlands legend was finished at 36 and refused to offer him a new deal.

Cruyff was furious. So mad, in fact, he signed for their bitter enemy Feyenoord, who he then led to the double and won Dutch Footballer of the Year.
“I wanted to take my anger out on Ajax via Feyenoord after the club had thrown me out with the rubbish”, he later admitted in his autobiography. More

But the French side only want him on loan for now, with an option to make things permanent if things go well.
That won’t fly with United though, who would rather keep hold of Bailly unless they can get rid of him for a permanent transfer fee.
The ex-Villarreal man is now fifth choice following the arrival of Lisandro Martinez.
But a compromise could be worked out between now and the end of the transfer window.
Such a move would see the Ivorian link up with former United team-mate Alexis Sanchez, who agreed to join Marseille earlier this week after terminating his Inter Milan contract early. More
