Braithwaite, 31, is surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp this summer.
Barca have been splashing the cash on numerous big-name signings despite their financial problems.
And the Spaniards now need to offload several big earners for registration purposes.
Xavi Hernandez and Joan Laporta have made it clear to Braithwaite he is not in their plans for this season.

But the Denmark international has so far refused to rip up his contract, which has two years left to run.
And Sport claims Braithwaite is now refusing to talk to interested clubs over a transfer.
Braithwaite insists he will only leave if he is paid his £98,000-a-week wages for the next two years in full.
But Barca have no intention of meeting his demands.

And the club is now ready to do whatever it takes to offload Braithwaite before his salary counts towards LaLiga’s limits for this season.
Barcelona are now exploring legal options that will allow them not to pay his entire contract.
And they are also considering terminating Braithwaite’s deal on transfer deadline day to leave him without a club until January.
The former Middlesbrough man has been at Barcelona since February 2020 after a shock move from Leganes.
He has gone on to score ten goals in 58 games.
But with Robert Lewandowski, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Memphis Depay all battling for a place in attack, Braithwaite’s chances of playing again for Barcelona are virtually zero. More

And Everton are still insisting they will not let their star player leave this summer.
The Merseyside club have already turned down attempts by both Spurs and Newcastle to sign Gordon, who has made 32 Premier League starts.
The player is understood to be keen to leave Goodison Park but knows Everton are determined to keep him at for at least one more season.
Everton sold Richarlison to Tottenham for £50m in a deal worth up to £60m, although they have signed Dwight McNeil from Burnley for £20m and £30m Lille midfielder Amadou Onana.

James Tarkowski has joined on a free transfer from Burnley while Conor Coady and Ruben Vinagre have arrived on loan from Wolves and Sporting Lisbon respectively.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is targeting at least one more new arrival before the deadline, although their attempt to land Barcelona’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks set to fail.

The Blues are still hoping to land Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong who has also been Manchester United’s primary midfield target.
But the Dutchman is still in a contract row with Barca in a dispute over wages.

Tuchel also wants to add a defender and has seen two bids rising to £70m turned down by Leicester for Wesley Fofana.
Chelsea have already added nearly £170m worth of talent to their squad, with new signings Marc Cucurella, Kalidou Koulibaly and Raheem Sterling all involved in Chelsea’s fierce clash with Spurs on Sunday.
They also added Carney Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa, with the teenager a similarly bright prodigy to Gordon. More

Hector Bellerin wants Arsenal to TERMINATE £110k-a-week contract and let him join Real Betis on free transfer

HECTOR BELLERIN wants Arsenal to terminate his contract and allow him to leave for nothing. The 27-year-old Spanish international does not figure in Mikel Arteta’s plans but still has 12 months remaining on his £110,000-a-week deal.

He is keen to return to Real Betis after his successful season on loan with his boyhood club last season.
And former club Barcelona are also monitoring his situation after failing to secure a deal with Chelsea for right-back Cesar Azpilicueta.
But both Spanish clubs are struggling to balance their books and insist they cannot afford to pay a fee for Bellerin.
And with just two weeks of the transfer window remaining, Arsenal’s longest-serving current player fears he could be stuck in limbo.

So now his representatives are in talks with Arsenal in a bid to break the deadlock.
And they are hoping that the prospect of wiping £5.7million off their annual wage bill will be enough to convince the club to let him go.
Bellerin, who joined Arsenal from Barcelona’s academy in 2011, has seen how Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil, Shkodran Mustafi and Sead Kolasinac have all been paid to leave the Emirates in the past two years.
But he would be prepared to walk away without a penny if it helps him to secure a return to Spain.

Arsenal, though, are already smarting after being forced to slash their asking price to get rid of Lucas Torreira, Bernd Leno and Pablo Mari as part of Arteta’s summer clear-out.
And at the moment they are still holding out for some kind of transfer fee, even if it is nowhere near the £18million they were demanding for the player last summer.
Yet both Betis and Barcelona are prepared to wait until transfer deadline day on September 1, convinced that Arsenal will eventually allow Bellerin to leave as a free agent rather than continuing to pay him without ever playing him. More

However, Ramos played down any suggestions of a summer move by committing himself to the club he joined aged 12 and came through the ranks.

According to the Sunday Times, initial talks between the player and the French side were positive.
As a result, PSG plan to table a mega contract for Rashford before the transfer window closes on September 1.
And they will do their best to land the man who knocked them out of the Champions League with a 94th-minute penalty in 2019.
The report adds new PSG sporting director Luis Campos reckons Rashford’s progression has been halted by the inconsistency at Old Trafford.

Rashford, 24, has already played under five managers since bursting on to the scene in February 2016.
The 46-cap Three Lions man has been deployed across the front line but has failed to nail down a set position.
Campos – who has been credited for much of the recruitment success at Monaco and Lille in recent years – said in January 2021: “Manchester United has always been one of the best academies in the world.
“Rashford is one of the best players in the world.”

His struggles in front of goal have coincided with the Red Devils’ recent woes, scoring just eight Premier League goals since the start of 2021.
Rashford, who has not featured at all for England since the Euro 2020 final, played the full 90 minutes of Saturday’s 4-0 humiliation at Brentford.
United may be in disarray and cannot offer Champions League football like PSG.
But they are determined not to sell one of their star assets – valued at a whopping £120million – and plan to extend his contract beyond next summer.
    ‘PART OF OUR PLANS’
Boss Erik ten Hag said: “He’s really important, you have seen from the first day I’m here, I’m really happy with him.
“I don’t want to lose him, he’s definitely in our plans at Manchester United.”
By comparison, his counterpart at the Parc des Princes confirmed his side want another attacker to add to Mbappe, Neymar and Lionel Messi with Mauro Icardi not wanted.
Christophe Galtier admitted: “We wish the arrival of a new striker.
“With a very busy calendar until November 13, plus the World Cup, obviously we wish this arrival.

The Canada international, 21, started his career in MLS with Vancouver Whitecaps before joining the German giants in 2018.
Davies has won four German Bundesliga titles and a Champions League with Bayern.
Heath, 61, thinks the perception is changing as standards in MLS rocket up but says there are plenty of other players Prem clubs should be looking at.
Heath, manager of MLS side Minnesota United, said: “I remember asking four or five clubs in England to take a look at Alphonso Davies.
