Spurs weren’t the only team in for the ex-Watford ace, with Chelsea failing to hijack his switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Even Arsenal were interested in the 2019 Copa America winner after making contact with the Toffees.
But Richarlison, who scored twice in Brazil’s 3-0 win over Ghana on Friday night, has stated only Spurs were willing to match Everton’s asking price.

Quoted by Goal during the international break, Richarlison also opened up on the role Conte played in his transfer.
He said: “I know Chelsea made an offer, and I believe Arsenal also contacted Everton to ask about my situation.
“But Spurs came in and paid the fee, you know? It’s as simple as that.
“Everton had to sell some players to avoid a Financial Fair Play problem, and the negotiations were very brief, to be honest.

“I was on holiday in Brazil when I heard that Tottenham had made Everton an offer.
“I was happy because they are a huge team.

“Antonio Conte called me during the negotiations and expressed how much he’d like to have me on board – that was vital for my decision.”

A win at the Emirates for the visitors would see Conte’s side leapfrog the Gunners at the top of the Premier League table. More

The striker is yet to make his first team debut, but a number of European giants already consider him a top prospect.
And according to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola, Manchester United, Newcastle and Tottenham have joined the race to sign him.
All three clubs are lining up a bid for Endrick, who has already scored five goals in four appearances for Brazil’s U17’s squad.
But, they face competition from both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain for his signature.

Nicola claims that Los Blancos have “never stopped monitoring” the young star while PSG “seem like the favourites” to sign him at this stage.
Endrick has a £35million release clause so any Prem club will have to trigger that before tabling a huge contract offer in a bid to lure him away from Paris or Madrid.
Tottenham are on the hunt for a potential long-term replacement for Harry Kane, who could be on his way to Bayern Munich next summer.
The England skipper is reportedly ‘tempted’ by the prospect of a move with the German giants prepared to make a huge offer.

Meanwhile Man Utd are seeking a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been pushing for a move away from Old Trafford since July.
The Red Devils failed to sign Christopher Nkunku, Darwin Nunez and Erling Haaland during the summer so Erik ten Hag is prepared to jump at the chance to sign another attacker.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe strengthened his attack over the summer by signing Alexander Isak in a club-record £63m transfer from Real Sociedad.
But, introducing Endrick would provide more competition for the Swede as well as Callum Wilson and Chris Wood. More

As a result, Juventus have drawn up a three-man transfer shortlist of potential targets.
As reported by TuttoSport, one of these targets is Chelsea outcast Pulisic, who was also approached for a loan transfer by Manchester United late in the summer window.
Pulisic has fallen way off his best performances with persistent injury concerns flatlining his progress.
Wolves star Traore is another target on their list.

His raw power and pace is next to impossible to deal with for any defender, and in all likelihood, he would thrive in the slower Serie A.
However, his end product remains sketchy and it has seen his game time at Wolves limited this season.
The final player on their list is Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo.
The Italian recently suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction during Roma’s 1-0 loss to Atalanta.

However, the 23-year-old is more used to playing in a central role, which is likely not to be afforded with the current Juventus setup under Massimiliano Allegri.
Allegri has struggled to get Juventus playing the same way he did when he won multiple and consecutive league titles with them in his first stint, and he has consequently come under pressure with the club sitting down in eighth.

Part of those incomings was the arrival of £45million Brazilian international forward Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.
He was also joined by attackers Fabio Vieira and Marquinhos, as well as defender Oleksandr Zinchenko and goalkeeper Matt Turner.
Despite all of those attacking reinforcements, a new report from Italy claims Arteta is pushing the Arsenal board to fork out over £100m more in January.
CMW is reporting that he has instructed them to make a move for Juventus star Vlahovic.
    READ MORE ON ARSENAL
The 22-year-old Serbian had been linked with the North London club for several months before he snubbed them in favour of joining the Turin side from Fiorentina back in January.
He has since fired 11 goals in 21 Serie A outings – including four in eight appearances this term.
It seems unlikely that Juventus would be looking to sell him within a year of securing his services, but this fresh report states that has not deterred Arteta.
And he is not the only man that the Spaniard wants to bring to the Emirates from the Bianconeri.

Their 19-year-old midfield star Miretti is also allegedly on his wishlist.
The Italian U21 international has become a key member of Massimiliano Allegri’s squad this term.
He has featured nine times and is another name that Juventus are unlikely to want to lose, especially midway through the campaign.
But that has not stopped this fresh report from claiming that Arteta has asked Arsenal to launch a £100.52m double bid for the pair. More

Jose Mourinho’s Roma plan January transfer raid on Chelsea for Trevoh Chalobah after sounding out defender in summer

JOSE MOURINHO reportedly has his eye on raiding former club Chelsea for defender Trevoh Chalobah. The 23-year-old centre-back made 30 appearances for the Blues under Thomas Tuchel last season.
Chalobah has not featured much for Chelsea so far this seasonCredit: Reuters
But he has featured in just one match so far in the new campaign – which came in a 2-1 victory over Leicester.
The arrival of Graham Potter has not instantly change his fortunes either as he was named as an unused substitute in the 1-1 draw with RB Salzburg.
And according to Corriere dello Sport, he could be on his way out of the club in January.
That is because Mourinho is reportedly interested in bringing him to Roma on loan.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
The Italian outfit were keen on the young defender in the summer window, with Mourinho thought to be calling for Chalobah as one of their main targets.
A deal could not be reached, but contacts made previously make a move in January all the more likely.
Chalobah joined Chelsea as a young boy and eventually broke through into the first team last season after loan spells at Ipswich, Huddersfield and Lorient.
He enjoyed a positive first season in the team but now appears further down the pecking order.

The arrival of both Kalidou Koulibaly and Wesley Fofana adds to the likes of Thiago Silva, Cesar Azpilicueta and Marc Cucurella – all of whom can play at the heart of a back three.
The strength in depth looks set to limit Chalobah’s opportunities in west London.
And a move to Mourinho’s Roma could be the best option for all involved.
Roma have started their Serie A campaign with four wins, one draw and two defeats.
They sit sixth as a result, four points behind early pace-setters Napoli at the top of the table. More

Hazard managed 65 minutes before being replaced by Leandro Trossard and showed some positive signs that his form is still there.
That is despite the former Chelsea man having started just one of Madrid’s six LaLiga matches so far this season.
And his status as a benchwarmer for Carlo Ancelotti’s side is something which has him worried less than two months out from the World Cup in Qatar.
Speaking to Marca, he said: “There have been difficult times because I want to play and I don’t play.

And the Catalonia-based giants have drawn up a three-man list of candidates to replace him, as reported by Sport.
Manchester City stalwart Rodri is one of the names on the list, and he is joined by fellow Premier League star Jorginho.
The other name on their list is Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich.
Barcelona have an idea of who tops their wish list but will weigh up the economic factors of such deals.

Rodri and Kimmich both have valuations of at least £70million – values the club consider to be high.
Consequently, it means Chelsea star Jorginho is the most likely candidate to replace Busquets in the summer.
The Italian’s future at Stamford Bridge has been up in the air for some time now.
The 30-year-old has less than a year left on his current deal, meaning he will be a free agent in the summer unless Graham Potter deems him worthy of a new deal.

Previous reports had already hinted that Barcelona were tracking Jorginho with a view to making a move happen as early as January.
Due to the World Cup break Jorginho has just under two months to convince Potter and Todd Boehly of his value beyond this season if he is to earn a new contract before the next transfer window.
But Barcelona will be waiting in the wings regardless.
