Ronaldo revealed he felt betrayed by the club and doesn’t respect boss Erik ten Hag.
He was largely left on the bench this season before the World Cup break, scoring just three goals in 16 games for United.
But former team-mate Neville, 47, will bang in the goals in a cameo role at a Champions League club until the end of the season.
He told Sky Sports: “I think Cristiano Ronaldo is going to be looking for a top club on a four-month or five-month contract where he can go in and do a brilliant cameo role at the very elite of European football.

“That’s what I think his priority would be – to stay in the Champions League, to stay at the very top and prove that what happened at Manchester United wasn’t right.
“I think he’s got four or five great months in him somewhere where he’ll go in and score 15 or 20 goals in that period.”
“Everybody in Manchester will say ‘why didn’t we keep him?’ and people in the Premier League will as well. But he’s got that in him and I would say that would be his priority.”
Neville suggested Ronaldo might then take a step down and pen a lucrative deal in the MLS or the Middle East for his “last football project” when the current season comes to an end.

SunSport exclusively revealed earlier this month that Ronaldo was in talks over a sensational switch to David Beckham’s Inter Miami.
While reports suggest he has been offered £1.2million a WEEK to play for Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr.
And Neville continued: “I think he’ll get to the end of the season and then think about the next two years and what his last football project might look like.
“Is it in the US? Is it in the Middle East? Is it somewhere else in Europe where he’s not played before?” More

Ronaldo, 37, finds himself without a club for the first time in his professional career.
The legendary striker had his Red Devils deal axed following last week’s bombshell interview with Piers Morgan.
And Ronaldo is now focused on leading Portugal to World Cup glory in Qatar.
But the veteran may not need to leave the Middle East afterwards, having reportedly received a mega-money contract from a club in neighbouring Saudi Arabia.

According to CBS, Al Nassr have offered Ronaldo a staggering three-year deal worth £62m.
That would see Ronnie pocket £1.19m each week – working out to £170,000 a DAY.
It could be a tempting offer for the icon, who turns 38 in February.
And should he accept, it would guarantee Ronaldo continues playing into his 40s.

The breakdown of Ronaldo’s contract offer from Al Nasser
Al Nassr have already held “extensive” talks with the ace’s representatives, with negotiations now at an “advanced” stage after initial contact over the summer.
It’s added the deal will be completed swiftly if Ronaldo accepts the lucrative terms on offer.
Al Nassr are one of the most successful teams in Saudi Arabia, boasting nine league titles.
But their last victory came in 2019, with Al Hilal winning the last three.
They too are said to be interested in Ronaldo, and it remans to be seen whether they make a late move. More

Erik ten Hag tells Man Utd to sign World Cup sensations Cody Gakpo and Rafael Leao to replace Cristiano Ronaldo

ERIK TEN HAG has reportedly told Manchester United to sign TWO World Cup sensations. That’s as he looks to replace Cristiano Ronaldo with a new forward this winter.

How United could look with Gakpo in the side
ESPN claims Ten Hag is eager to land a top attacker in January.
And two stars playing at the World Cup have caught his eye.
The first is Holland’s Cody Gakpo, who has been on Ten Hag’s radar since last season with PSV Eindhoven.
The versatile striker has two goals in as many games for his country.

And despite being predominantly a left winger, Gakpo is becoming increasingly accomplished as a No9.
He has made no secret of his desire to play at a higher level.
And a deal could be struck with PSV fairly quickly – for the right price.
The second player on Ten Hag’s list is Rafael Leao, who has become one of Serie A’s top stars with AC Milan.

How United could look with both Gakpo and Leao in the side
He was in devastating form as Portugal beat Ghana 3-2 this week, scoring the decisive third goal.
And Ten Hag would also love to bring Leao to Old Trafford.
However, he is valued at over £100million by Milan.
And Leao is yet to get a proper run through the middle for either club or country.
It means Gakpo is the more likely of the two to join United in January.
But there could be a chance of seeing both men at the Theatre of Dreams next season. More

Man Utd have ‘hardly any chance’ to sign Jude Bellingham leaving Liverpool & Man City in straight fight for England ace

MANCHESTER UNITED reportedly have “hardly any chance” of signing Jude Bellingham. And now it is rivals Liverpool, Man City and Real Madrid leading the chase for the teenage sensation.
Man Utd have allegedly suffered a blow in their pursuit of Jude BellinghamCredit: Getty
The England World Cup star is arguably the hottest commodity in Europe after his displays for club and country.
Bellingham has been enjoying a stunning season at Dortmund with seven goals and two assists in 20 appearances.
And he followed that up by bagging his first goal for the Three Lions in a stunning display in the 6-2 victory over Iran on Monday.
The 19-year-old is subject to a five-way bidding war between the continent’s elite clubs.

However, now it seems that United and Premier League rivals Chelsea are out of the running.
And it is now a “triple fight” for Bellingham’s signature between Liverpool, Man City and Real Madrid.
That is according to Sky Sport reporter Florian Plettenberg.
He tweeted an update on the situation that said: “X News #Bellingham: Been told that #MUFC hardly has a chance anymore. Triple fight: Liverpool, City, Real!”

He added: “#LFC & Klopp pushing! But not at any price due to FFP. Price: Up to €150m! JB is LFCs top target for central midfield – next to 2 players from South America.”
Bellingham’s goal against Iran further strengthened his growing reputation on the world stage.
But the ex-Birmingham City ace and his England teammates failed to shine again on Friday in the drab goalless World Cup draw with USA.
Even the WAGs were yawning during the game as the toothless Three Lions failed to mount any serious threat to the Americans.
That result left England still top of the group on four points, a point ahead of second-placed Iran.
The USA, who take on Iran on Tuesday, are third on two points after consecutive draws.

And Wales, who England face in their final Group B match, are bottom on one point.
That means the Three Lions will qualify for the knockouts if they avoid a defeat by four goals to the Welsh. More

Ronaldo, 37, is without a club after leaving Manchester United this week.
