It is not clear whether Martin will be in attendance at St Mary’s for Southampton’s final Premier League game as he prepares to take them in the Championship next season.
The Saints turned to Martin, who led Swansea to a 10th-placed finish this term, after Manchester City assistant Enzo Maresca turned the role down.

But Sancho has missed swathes of his two seasons with injuries.
And he has just 11 goals in 76 games under three different managers.
Reports now claim Erik ten Hag is running out of patience with the wide-man.
United’s Dutch gaffer hopes to bring in at least one new forward this summer.

And Sancho could be sacrificed as United also look to raise funds for a midfielder.
One man who believes “mystery” Sancho faces an exit is former United striker and Treble icon Yorke.
He reckons there’s every chance Sancho will be cast aside this summer for a replacement signing.
And even if Sancho stays, he will have to quickly prove himself or else risk being dumped in the window after.

Yorke told the Mirror: “It’s one of a mystery really. He had so much potential and hope for the likes of Man Utd.
“Huge investment, really did an amazing job when he was at Dortmund.
“Somehow the transition from there to Manchester hasn’t really worked out in the way that we all thought it might for him.
“Really struggled, whether it’s from a mental point of view, which seems to be well documented. He hasn’t really lived up to the price tag.
“So yeah he’s on borrowed time, I suppose, if you have to be fair in many respects.

Arsenal and Manchester United have been long-term admirers of Rice, with the Emirates side once the favourites to land him in a club-record transfer.
However, we reported how Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel was also weighing up a move for the Hammers ace.
And now Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg has provided an update on Bayern’s pursuit of the star.
He tweeted: “Internally it is said that the poker has begun now!

“Tuchel and the bosses want him as reported and he’s one of the targets who’s top on the list.
“Been told that Bayern could pay the price package demanded!”
Although he did add that their move is “not advanced yet” as it is still unclear what is Rice’s preferred move just yet.
Now West Ham fans are certain that he will be heading to Bayern after the club shared a clip of Rice coming out for training this morning where he produced a German greeting.

As the person behind the camera shouted hello, the midfielder replied: “Guten morgan.”
“Rice to Bayern confirmed,” wrote one.
While another said: “He’s getting the practice in.”
Tuchel and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic are working on a plan to overhaul the Bayern squad this summer.
And they identified Rice as a suitable option in holding midfield.
Tuchel came up against Rice during his time as Chelsea boss and believes he has the quality to slot into the Bavarians’ team chasing the Champions League trophy.
West Ham are demanding at least £100million for their academy graduate, despite his current contract expiring in 2024.
Bayern’s record transfer fee is the £68m they paid for Lucas Hernandez.

And that could prove a boost for the Premier League sides still keen on landing Rice, especially if they can offer Champions League football.
Hammers boss David Moyes admitted last week there is a “good chance” his influential skipper could leave the club at the end of this season – with James Ward-Prowse lined up as a possible replacement. More

The 34-year-old will depart at the end of the season despite having a year left on his contract.
He uploaded a farewell video on his social media pages, which Barcelona also shared.
Alba confirmed in February he was willing to walk away following Barcelona’s recent financial woes.
And the defender is likely to have a host of clubs chasing his signature after being strongly linked with Inter Milan last year.

Alba joined Barcelona from Valencia for around £11million in 2012.
He has since scored 27 goals in 458 appearances for the Spanish giants.

But the capture of Marcos Alonso from Chelsea last year, plus the emergence of youngster Alejandro Balde, saw most of Alba’s appearances come from the bench.
He’s not the first old boy to call it a day, with Gerard Pique retiring from football midway through the season.
Sergio Busquets is also moving on this summer.
And after losing Lionel Messi several seasons ago, it truly spells the end of a golden period at the Nou Camp.
Reflecting on his future earlier this term, Alba said: “I think I’m at a good level. It is true that I am not playing everything, but when I go out I try to do my best.
“And when I’m not playing I try to help all my teammates by supporting them from the bench.
“It’s a new facet for me because normally I’ve been lucky enough to play a lot of minutes.
“This year not so much, but I also have my minutes and I’m happy with this role.
“It is important to help my colleagues, to be with them, to advise them, and this is also positive and motivates me.”
When asked whether he would lower his salary, he replied: “Yes. It’s a club decision and I’ve always helped when asked.
“My intention is to help the club and that both parties are happy.”

Alba added: “I feel good, I feel capable and I have the support of the coach and team-mates.

They thought that French World Cup-winning forward Mbappe, 24, was heading to the Bernabeu last summer until he famously snubbed them to pen a new mega-contract at Paris Saint-Germain.
However, L’Equipe claims that his deal with PSG will end in June 2024 and he is unlikely to trigger the option of a 12-month extension.
