Leeds’ dreadful form has left them 17th in the table, above the relegation zone only by virtue of goal difference.
And according to TottoMercatoWeb, ex-Aston Villa manager, Gerrard, is on the shortlist to take the post at Elland Road.
Liverpool and England great Gerrard was sacked by Villa last October and replaced by serial Europa League winner, Unai Emery.

In recent seasons, Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle and Spurs have all been linked with the Croatia star.
According to InterLive.it, Tottenham remain very keen on the midfielder, with boss Antonio Conte familiar with Brozovic from their two-year stint working together at Inter.
During that time, Inter were runners-up in the Europa League in 2020 and won the Serie A in 2021.
Conte would like Brozovic as part of his Tottenham rebuild should the ex-Italy boss sign fresh terms beyond the summer of 2023, which is when his deal expires.

However, the report goes on to state that Barca are also keen on the Inter star.
Brozovic is under contract at the San Siro until 2026, and the player isn’t believed to be keen on a move away.
But Inter’s financial situation could force the club’s hand.
Inter chiefs Giuseppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to make cash by selling him.

Man Utd and Liverpool ‘to send scouts to PSV to watch on-loan Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite’ after impressive form

And this has led to increased interest from the likes of Man Utd and LiverpoolCredit: Getty
The English centre-back has appeared in 18 games for the Dutch club this season.
His performances and nature as a far rarer left-footed centre-back are said to be piquing the interest of the two English giants.
And according to the Daily Mail, they will both send scouts to watch Branthwaite and keep an eye on his progress throughout the rest of the season.
Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag has made no secret for his desire to have a left-footed player on the left side of his defence, with Lisandro Martinez one of the priority signings for him last summer.

Jose Mourinho’s Roma are also sending scouts in the hope of landing the defender.
Branthwaite, who has a contract which runs until 2025 at Goodison Park, has benefitted from the faith shown in him from boss Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Current Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti originally handed the ex-Carlisle star his debut, but he then lost his confidence under his successor Frank Lampard.
With this climaxing with his sending off against Brentford near the end of the season.

But despite his development seemingly going well, Everton could be convinced to sell up if they lose their Premier League place at the end of the season.
Naturally, Everton’s fierce rivalry with Liverpool could see them prefer to sell the defender to another club, but with their Prem status under threat, choices may be limited.
Reaction from Liverpool fans about the link was less than welcoming to say the least.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “This makes no sense at all.”
A second declared: “Rock bottom if we sign a player 18th placed our massive rival Everton don’t want.”
    Another blasted: “Joke club!!”
New Everton manager Sean Dyche made an immediate impact by guiding the Toffees to a 1-0 win over league leaders Arsenal.
However, they still remain in the relegation zone, albeit only due to an inferior goal difference to Leeds United, who recently sacked Jesse Marsch. More

LaLiga chief Javier Tebas has told the club they must reduce the amount they pay on salaries per year by £177million, claim Mundo Deportivo.
Barca could be forced to sell a number of top stars that are on hefty wages, handing United encouragement that they could snap up some of their players.
The likes of Sergio Busquets and Sergi Roberto both see their contracts at the Nou Camp expire at the end of this season, which would free up some cash, but more may be needed.
Jordi Alba, Franck Kessie, Ousmane Dembele and Ferran Torres may also depart.

Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag has chased the signing of De Jong ever since he got the job, keen to rekindle his relationship with the player he coached at Ajax.
However, the 25-year-old himself and Barcelona have both blocked any transfer to the Premier League.
De Jong was left angry when he was owed a reported £400,000 in deferred wages by the club but it appears the disagreement has now been settled.
Man Utd are keen to add another central midfielder to the squad and the Red Devils may go back in for him this summer.

Atletico Madrid reveal outrageous price Chelsea must pay for Joao Felix if they want to keep him beyond loan spell

ATLETICO MADRID’S asking price to make Joao Felix’s loan to Chelsea permanent has reportedly been set. Felix swapped the Wanda Metropolitano for Stamford Bridge during the January window, with the cost of the loan fee alone a cool £10million.

But it would mean Todd Boehly would need to break the British transfer record once againCredit: Getty
With Atletico Madrid facing the ignominy of failing to qualify for the Champions League, their finances are set to be take a huge blow which will likely see them forced into flogging a number of their highest-earning stars.
This is where Felix comes in. The Portuguese ace’s future at the club was far from certain when he left on loan given his poor relationship with current under-fire boss Diego Simeone.
Indeed, there is a clause in the loan deal which will allow Chelsea to sign him properly, however no fee was agreed.
If he performs well during his loan spell, he could seal a full move to Graham Potter’s side in the summer.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Atletico are more than happy to let Felix go if their price tag is met.
But meeting their demands will mean Chelsea forking out a British transfer record of £124.5m.
That figure would see Atletico turn a profit on the attacker after splashing £115m to get him from Benfica in 2019.
If any club is willing to meet those demands it is Chelsea, who set a new bar for both a single player transfer fee and for money spent in a single window last month.

The £107m spent on Enzo Fernandez fuelled a splurge of £326m on transfer fees in January alone, seeing Todd Boehly’s total outlay on transfers since taking over eclipse the £600m mark.

And their lavish spending has seen them top the list for worst net spend since 2018/19.
Felix has already cost the Blues £3m in unused wages after he was sent off for a reckless challenge on his debut against Fulham.
The 23-year-old is set to return following his suspension when Chelsea visit West Ham on Saturday.
Selling Felix would give Atletico the flexibility to move for a number of targets, namely Leicester star Caglar Soyuncu or Marcus Thuram. More

He has been in red hot form this season
But recent reports have emerged suggesting Man Utd are preparing to launch a staggering £107million transfer bid.
Such a deal would equal the current British transfer record set by Chelsea’s acquisition of Enzo Fernandez in January.
However, despite the potentially huge offer, Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis remains defiant over the possibility of a sale.
Speaking to German outlet Bild, De Laurentiis said: “I can tell you that Osimhen is not for sale.

“Our players are in demand, but I don’t have to sell anyone. We don’t have any debts.”
Osimhen’s stock is only on an upward trajectory given the current form he is displaying.
He scored twice in Napoli’s 3-0 win at Spezia over the weekend, taking his Serie A tally for the season up to 16.
Consequently, a reported £133m price tag from the club seems more and more reasonable.
