And while the title is now their focus, it must not be forgotten that Champions League qualification is all but secured.
According to The Times, the revenue brought in through a top-four finish could fund a spending spree.
Mikel Arteta wants to bring in two central midfielders, a winger and a left-back at the end of the season.
Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo are two players that have been explicitly named as targets in the report.

Arsenal are confident of beating Chelsea to West Ham’s £80million captain Rice, 24.
And they are also set to renew their interest in Brighton man Caicedo.
It remains to be seen who else they will go after, but names they are linked with include Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Real Valladolid defender Ivan Fresneda and Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries.
There is also set to be a mass exodus at the Emirates come the end of the campaign.

Kieran Tierney has featured very little for Arsenal so far this seasonCredit: Getty
One player at the top of that list of exits is expected to be left-back Kieran Tierney.
The Scot, 25, has started just four Premier League games this season following the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko.
But Arsenal are not expected to let him go cheap as they look to make back the £25m they spent on him four years ago.

Two more sales are likely to come in the form of Albert Sambi Lokinga and Nuno Tavares – who are on loan at Crystal Palace and Marseille respectively.
Folarin Balogun, who is thriving at Reims, is also set to depart.
He is second in Ligue 1’s top scorer charts and will not want to return to North London to be third-choice behind Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah.
Arteta needs to make a decision on Emile Smith Rowe – who has played little more than 100 minutes this season due to injury.
And midfielder Granit Xhaka is a potential surprise departure if his contract situation is not resolved.
The Swiss, 30, will become a free agent in the summer of 2024 and could leave if Rice and Caicedo join Thomas Partey and Jorginho as Arsenal’s options in the middle of the park.

Tottenham scout leaves club after leaving board furious by leaking transfer targets in live TV interview

A SCOUT has left Tottenham after infuriating club chiefs by revealing key transfer targets in a Colombian TV interview.Jeff Vetere, formerly of Real Madrid and Newcastle, left his bosses astounded after talking about players he liked and those the club were watching.

The scout revealed a target in a sit-down interview with Win Sports TV, angering club chiefsCredit: Getty
In a sit-down interview with Win Sports TV, Vetere revealed how a South American scouting mission saw Nacional goalkeeper Kevin Mier, 22, land himself on Spurs’ radar.
And the Daily Mail reports that Vetere’s conduct was deemed to be unprofessional by the Tottenham board.
A formal meeting was called to review his probationary period having only joined the North London club last September.
But before that process was finished, the 57-year-old resigned.

The report goes on to state that Vetere would have been told to leave anyway and his exit has been welcomed by many at Tottenham.
Vetere had been out of work since being sacked as Birmingham City’s director of football in 2018.
But his close relationship with sporting director Fabio Paratici saw him land a key role at Spurs.
Vetere is also said to have rubbed existing staff members the wrong way.

The scout said in the interview of the Nacional goalkeeper Mier: “I see a goalkeeper who does not lack anything to cross the pond.
“We are looking because it is our task to see who the best youngsters are for international football.
“Taking advantage of my stay in Colombia, I took the opportunity to go there (Nacional) and meet a goalkeeper who is important to me.
“I think he’s going to play for the national side soon.
“He has things, for me, they are not normal for a boy of his age.
“I was surprised by his confidence and his handling of the ball.”
Luton-born Vetere is more notable for his time at Newcastle.
The multilingual figure was controversial at St James’ Park, with the report claiming he contributed to Kevin Keegan quitting as boss following the signing of players he claimed to know nothing about.
Keegan was, of course, later awarded £2million for constructive dismissal by an independent tribunal panel.

Kovacic is one of seven Blues players whose contracts expire in 2024 – while N’Golo Kante has just four months remaining.
And The Telegraph report the Croatian is a summer target for the reigning Premier League champions as he prepares to enter the final 12 months of his current deal.
Pep Guardiola is said to be a huge fan of the former Real Madrid star and made a beeline to talk to him after City’s 1-0 win in January, while Raheem Sterling hailed Kovacic upon moving to West London.
The Spanish coach also wants to make changes to his midfield come the end of the season.

Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan have both been linked with Barcelona while Kalvin Phillips has struggled to make any impact at the Etihad.
Jude Bellingham remains City’s No1 transfer priority.
However, they face strong competition from Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid for the Borussia Dortmund and England ace’s signature.
But Kovacic would present a far cheaper alternative and bring bags of experience should he make the switch.

He won LaLiga and three Champions Leagues in a row at Real Madrid before adding a fourth in 2021 under Thomas Tuchel, as well as the Europa League, Club World Cup and Super Cup.
Kovacic – who initially joined on loan in 2018 before a permanent £40million deal a year later – also has runner-up medal from the FA Cup, League Cup and World Cup.
Chelsea’s new owner Todd Boehly splashed out more than £600m on transfers this season.
And with more players still linked despite the arrivals of Carney Chukwuemeka and £106m Enzo Fernandez, a turnover in midfield at Stamford Bridge is likely to keep the new arrivals happy – with Jorginho already out the door to join Arsenal. More

And they also need a miracle to progress in the Champions League after being thrashed 5-2 at home by Real Madrid in the first-leg of their last 16 tie last week.
Colombian winger Diaz, 26, arrived at Anfield from Porto 13 months ago and scored four goals and provided three assists in 12 games this season.
However, he has been sidelined since undergoing surgery following a knee injury sustained in a 3-2 defeat at Arsenal back in October.
Klopp has hinted that he could be ready to return to action for the second leg with Madrid on March 15 – but this fresh report states that the South American’s days on Merseyside could be numbered.

Italian publication Calciomercato states that Liverpool want to bring in Milan forward Rafael Leao as part of their summer rebuild.
The 23-year-old Portuguese international, who has scored 31 times in 118 Serie A appearances, is out of contract in June 2024 and talks on a new deal have stalled.
This update claims that Milan are willing to “listen to offers” to avoid losing him for nothing.
Liverpool are allegedly one of the teams interested in signing him and they could use Diaz in an attempt to “snatch Leao”.

It adds that Klopp “likes” the ace and that could pave the way for a “sensational exchange” between Liverpool and Milan.
Calciomercato also says that the San Siro side would prefer a “cash-only proposal” rather than a swap.
They value the former Sporting Lisbon and Lille man, who has been at Milan since 2019, between £105m and £131m.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have also all been linked with Leao over recent months. More

And now ESPN report the Bundesliga side want to make their mark in the South American market to snap up players.
It is understood Bayern are in talks with Uruguayan club River Plate over an alliance.
The aim would be to be sister clubs, enabling the Bavarians to have their own talent pool to develop rising stars ahead of a move to Europe.
Talks over a ten-to-15-year partnership are said to still be ongoing following the approach by a Uruguayan living in Germany.

Bayern would take the lead and oversee the first-division Uruguayan club, including their youth, women’s and futsal teams.
The 2020 Champions League winners already have links with Los Angeles FC in the MLS.
And therefore they are keen to extend their influence across North and South America by adding River Plate to their ‘family’ of clubs.
The additional investment would also help balance the books of the Montevideo side, who would then have intentions of competing higher up the league table as title challengers.

Man Utd share prices COLLAPSE because ‘there is a feeling the Glazers will NOT sell and club’s only worth £1.3billion’

A “FEELING that the Glazer family will NOT sell Manchester United” has reportedly led to the club’s share price plummeting by almost ten per cent. The Red Devils are only worth around £1.3BILLION according to new analysis – significantly less than the Glazers’ rumoured asking price.

The Glazer family have been exploring a sale since the end of last year, but are yet to receive the £6bn they want.
Qatar’s Sheikh Jassim wants to buy the club either in its entirety now, or not at all.
He, as well as boyhood Man United fan Sir Jim Ratcliffe, are both set to have initial bids rejected by the Glazers.
Bidders are currently waiting to hear back from The Raine Group, the bank overseeing the possible sale.

The market value of United, who won the Carabao Cup at Wembley on Sunday in front of Avram Glazer, was thought to be at around £3.75bn. Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s bids were believed to be in this region.
However fresh reports in the Financial Times have had a big impact on their shareholders and the price of stock.

Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol said: “The share price has fallen by almost 10 per cent and I think the reasons behind that are down to two reports in the Financial Times this weekend.
“The first one said that Manchester United are not worth the £5bn that the Glazers are looking for if they were to sell Manchester United as, according to the FT, United are worth £1.3bn. Much less than anyone had thought before.

“There was also another report on Saturday which said that the bidders for Manchester United had so far not offered enough money to tempt the Glazers to sell.
“If the Glazers were to sell then the two bidders that we know about, Sheikh Jassim from Qatar and Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS company, would have to increase their bids.
“This has all led to a sense that the Glazers will not sell Manchester United.”
Solhekol reiterated: “What’s happened is that the traders, the people who own shares, the value of them shares has gone down today because there is a feeling that the Glazers might not sell.
“And if they are not going to sell, Man United is not worth £6bn, £7bn and it could be worth closer to what the Financial Times is saying, which is £1.3bn.
“That is why the share price has gone down today.
“Forget what has happened on the football pitch, if you’re an investor all that matters is are the Glazers going to sell the club and how much is the club worth, and at the moment, there seems to be a feeling that the Glazers are not going to sell the club.”
He added: “The Glazers have never come out and said ‘we want to sell Manchester United’. They’ve been very clever about it.

“In November they said that they were exploring alternative strategies, potentially that could lead to a sale.
“But you could make the argument that United are playing so well at the moment, winning trophies again, is it really a good time sell? Maybe the clever thing to do is hold on to the club but just sell a small stake and use the money in redeveloping the stadium and training ground.”

And that meant that the North East club’s 54-year long wait for a trophy continued.
With the backing of the mega-rich Saudi’s, supporters remain optimistic that better days lay ahead for the Toon.
Especially with co-owner Jamie Reuben tweeting afterwards: “We will be back stronger and better.”
Now i News is stating that “the resolve is there in the black and white corner, along with cash stumped up” to get Newcastle up with the big boys.

And that a big summer transformation “might land them with a £250m bill” if they bring in a number of additions designed to take Eddie Howe’s side to the next level.
We reported previously how Leicester City’s James Maddison is their No.1 transfer target.
The 26-year-old playmaker has been in sensational form this term in the Premier League and has caught the eye of Newcastle and Tottenham.
The Magpies lodged two bids worth £40million and £45m last summer but had both rejected.

Since then Maddison has gone on to enjoy a fine campaign with the struggling Foxes and earned a place in Gareth Southgate’s England World Cup squad.
Despite talks set to restart with Leicester over a new deal, Howe still hopes to bring the attacker to Tyneside.
Speculation has also mounted that Toon will launch another transfer bid for Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby after failing to prise the 23-year-old winger to Tyneside last summer.
Despite their impressive defensive record, there have also been reports that Howe wants to strengthen his backline.
Question marks have been raised over fan favourite Dan Burn at left-back, and that could potentially see a new arrival in that position.
One man who may be available is Joao Cancelo, who is currently impressing on loan at Bayern Munich after a fall-out with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola last month.

SunSport understands that the shock deal included an option to buy the 28-year-old at the end of the season for around £61.5m.
However, if Newcastle come knocking then the Portuguese star could have something to think about.
The injury records of Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson have also hindered the Magpies at times.

And they could also join the countless other clubs in the chase to sign Napoli hotshot Victor Osimhen.

Both stars are available on a free transfer in the summer, and the David Beckham-owned football franchise is eager to expand the team’s reach by signing some major names.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, their latest target is Juventus star Angel Di Maria.

Instead, the 35-year-old – who scored a stunning goal in the Europa League – will consider offers from Saudi Arabia and America.
It comes after Juventus were slapped with a 15-point deduction following a transfer scam which allowed them to make capital gains through inflated transfer fees.
Di Maria’s potential availability falls into Inter Miami’s transfer target criteria.
Neville has previously confirmed the club’s interest, saying: “I’m not going to deny [it and say] there isn’t truth in the speculation that we’re interested in Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets.
