Signed by Jose Mourinho in 2018 from Porto for £19m, Dalot’s contract was initially set to run out this summer before United triggered a one-year extension before Christmas.
And now, SunSport understands the Red Devils are keen to tie the 23-year-old down for several more years after impressing this campaign.
United are also wary of interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona, who are admirers of Dalot and are ready to pounce should an agreement on a new deal fall flat.
His future at Old Trafford was not always as clear cut, spending the 2020/21 season on loan at AC Milan after falling out of favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

But he now appears to be first choice at right-back in Ten Hag’s eyes, overtaking team-mate Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Dalot was chosen to start their 2-0 Carabao Cup final victory against Newcastle last month, and was only taken off at half time for Wan-Bissaka because he was on a booking and up against Allan Saint-Maximin.
And speaking in January about his stay at United, Dalot explained: “We are in a position to say that we are negotiating and seeing how both parties will benefit.
“But it is no secret that I am happy to be here, so we will see how things go.

De Jong, 25, wants to stay at Barca but could be forced out due to the club’s financial situation.
Reports suggest that club president Joan Laporta and manager Xavi see selling the midfielder as one of the ways to solve their off-field problems.
Barcelona may not be able to sign players this summer with LaLiga effectively putting a transfer ban on them until they can balance the books.
The league’s chief Javier Tebas has publicly called for the club to reduce their spending and suggested they may have to make cuts of £178million.

He said: “They have to reduce their investment in players and we have encouraged them to sell players because for every amount they raise in sales they can spend 40 per cent of that.”
Man Utd and Chelsea were both in the hunt for De Jong last summer.
The Red Devils saw multiple bids fail in landing him and he the player expressed his desire to fight for his place at the club.

Caicedo, 21, then agreed a new four-year deal with Brighton earlier this month to keep him at the club until 2027.
The south-coast side also have the option of extending his £60,000-a-week contract by a further 12 months.
He has contributed two goals and three assists in 36 appearances since arriving from Independiente in 2021.
Meanwhile, Arsenal looked elsewhere for a midfielder and landed on Chelsea man Jorginho.

Yet despite recruiting in the mid-season window AND seeing Caicedo pen a new deal, Football Insider understand the Gunners are still interested in the Ecuadorian international.
Manchester United and Chelsea are also thought to be in for the South American – who is reportedly still keen on a big move at the end of the season.

And after Brighton strengthened their negotiating position through the signing of a new deal, Caicedo is now understood to be valued at £90m.
The Seagulls have a history of commanding big transfer fees for their star players.
Arsenal are well aware of that having paid £50m for Ben White and £27m for Leandro Trossard.
Chelsea also spent £62m to acquire Marc Cucurella in the summer.
Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta’s desire to bolster his midfield options comes as he bids to make Arsenal regular title challengers.
The Gunners sit five points clear at the top of the Premier League table with 12 games remaining.
But they are exceeding expectations with just three regular midfield options in Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka and Jorginho.
And Xhaka’s future is still somewhat uncertain as he prepares to enter the final 12 months of his existing deal. More

Jude Bellingham has quiet night in front of Chelsea owner Todd Boehly ahead of summer transfer scramble

JUDE BELLINGHAM is considered the jewel in the crown of English football – the teenage midfielder just waiting to take a huge step forward this summer.Arguably England’s best performer at the World Cup last year, he arrived back on home soil with a mushrooming reputation to go with the steadily inflating price tag.

At Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea beat Dortmund 2-1 to advance to the last-eight of the Champions League, he came up against Enzo Fernandez, the most expensive player in British history.
But the smart money is on Bellingham leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer for more than the £106 million Chelsea paid for their Argentinian – who was officially anointed best young player in Qatar on his way to becoming a world champion at 21.
There are two years between Ferandez and Bellingham. By the time the former Birmingham City trainee gets the key to the door there is every reason to expect he will be playing at a far higher level than a Chelsea team under shaky construction.
There were even unsubstantiated pre-match reports that Bellingham’s dad was meeting with officials from Real Madrid just a few hundred metres from the stadium, allegedly teeing up his departure to the current European champions.
    READ MORE ON CHELSEA
Nevertheless, Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly was watching closely from the stands and no doubt sizing up whether or not his club should make a play for Bellingham at the end of the season. There is definite interest from the new people upstairs.
Sod’s law dictated that the young man paying a flying visit back “home” to England to showcase his skills would have a quiet night. He was sub-Jude.
It was much the same last month when the majestic Signal Iduna Park hosted their Premier League visitors in the first leg. All he got that night was booked.
Bellingham was unable to get the ball onto his toes and drive at the Chelsea defence in the return.

There was an uncharacteristic disconnect between the midfield and the attackers in a German side on a ten game winning streak.
Waiting to provide the link up to his strikers was a frustrating game for England’s hottest young player. At one point in the first half he was left stranded up front.
A loner who could do nothing with a long ball pumped forward except head the ball aimlessly into space then look around for his non-existent mates and hold his hands up in despair.
In the 58th minute he was presented with a chance to score. And with the sizeable target of Kalidou Koulibaly in his way could only scuff a shot from six yards wide of the post.
In Bellingham’s defence, this game largely bypassed the midfield.
It was 100mph stuff engaging the strikers, mainly in blue, as quickly as possible. Fernandez hardly set the world alight too.

Juventus trigger Moise Kean’s £25m permanent transfer option days after Everton ace is sent off after 40 seconds

JUVENTUS have reportedly triggered the £25million option to sign Moise Kean from Everton just days after his 40 second red card shame. The 23-year-old forward left the Turin club for the Premier League back in 2019.

However, the Italian international struggled at Everton and only scored twice in 32 top-flight appearances before he was first shipped out on loan to Paris Saint-Germain.
Kean was then returned to Juventus in August 2021 on a two-year loan deal which included an obligation to buy him for £25m.
Since then he has scored 10 Serie A goals in 55 appearances and his displays have already allegedly convinced the Turin side to sign him long-term.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano backed up an earlier claim from elsewhere by tweeting: “Moise Kean, no longer Everton player as Juventus have already triggered the buy option clause for €28m.

“Full agreement was already in place last year, Kean can be considered 100% Juve player as @romeoagresti reports.”
It comes after Kean was sent off 40 SECONDS after coming on for Juventus in Sunday’s 1-0 loss at Roma.
He kicked out wildly at matchwinner Gianluca Mancini 20 seconds after arriving in the 89th minute – and departed after another 20 seconds.
Kean, 23, had replaced Colombian wideman Juan Cuadrado as Juve piled on the pressure for an equaliser.

And that desperate last-ditch move from boss Max Allegri promptly became even more despairing.
Kean instantly saw red for lashing out at defender Mancini, who had cracked a stunning decider for Jose Mourinho’s Roma on 53 minutes.
Mancini seemed to drag the tumbling Kean in a bizarre tangle as Juventus attacked down the left.
The frontman responded by booting the home hero up the backside.
And although Mancini collapsed in ridiculous fashion, clutching his leg as if shot, Kean had to go.
He has since been hit with a £8,900 fine and received a two-game ban for the red. More
