It comes with the Glazers, the current club owners, currently seeking further investment in the club with a third round of bidding today.
Some suiters such as Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe were targeting a full buyout of the Americans – however, neither party are yet to match the Glazers’ £6billion price-tag and Sir Jim is said to be considering a part-takeover.
Should Sheikh Jassim be successful SunSport understands that one of his first actions will be to make an incredible move to sign Neymar.
The Brazilian attacker is considered one of the biggest talents in the world.

He is also his nation’s joint top goalscorer ever, matching Pele’s 77 goals.
And he would be a marquee signing for the club to signal the new owners’ intentions moving forward.
He has scored 18 times in 29 games this season, but he has been hampered by ankle injuries.
And his inconsistent availability and reportedly mammoth £616k-per-week contract have led to rumours that PSG would be willing to part ways with him.

PSG are working on a rebuild of the team that could see high-profile names such as Neymar leave the club.
Neymar is still the most expensive player in world football following his £198million transfer from Barcelona to the Ligue 1 giants.
His contract at the Parc des Princes is set to run until 2025, although he has the option to extend it to 2027.

A move for the former Barcelona star does not necessarily rule out a move for Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
The England captain is still thought to be at the top of the club’s transfer list this summer.
During Man United’s draw against Tottenham, the  visiting supporters were heard chanting: “Harry Kane, we’ll see you in June.”
When asked about the songs from the away end last night, the star said: “I heard what they were saying but I’m just focused on this team and trying to finish strongly.”
Sheikh Jassim’s takeover bid is dependent on convincing the Glazers to sell up completely – which may prove tricky.

It’s believed that the much despised Americans are thinking about staying at the club for another decade.
It has been said they reckon with fresh outside investment they can eventually double United’s current valuation.

Mauricio Pochettino NOT right for Chelsea as he’s lacking ‘winning gene’… he’ll always come up just short

FORMER Premier League football chief Simon Jordan believes Mauricio Pochettino will come up “short” at Chelsea as he lacks the “winning gene”.The Argentine is widely expected to be named as the next Chelsea manager.

The former Tottenham manager has been locked in talks with Todd Boehly and Co after emerging as the frontrunner for the job.
Reports have claimed that a verbal agreement has now been struck, with Chelsea hoping to confirm a deal for Pochettino by the end of the week.
The 51-year-old is currently out of work having left Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
He is one of Spurs’ most successful and popular managers in recent times – despite failing to win a trophy with the club.
    READ MORE CHELSEA
He averaged 1.89 points per game – the most for any Tottenham boss in Premier League history with a minimum of 38 Premier League games in charge.
The ex-Southampton chief capped off his five-year stint at White Hart Lane by leading Spurs to the 2019 Champions League final, where they lost to Liverpool.
But he was sacked just months later following a poor start to the next campaign before eventually taking over at PSG in January 2021, winning the Coupe de France and Ligue 1 prior to his departure.
Former England international Danny Murphy believes those experiences at PSG will help him at Stamford Bridge, but ex-Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan insists that Poch lacks something the top managers have.

Speaking on TalkSport’s White and Jordan, Murphy said: “I think it’s a great opportunity for him. It’s a wonderful opportunity to get a great bunch of players and mould them into what you want.
“I spent a bit of time with him in Doha [over the World Cup] and was so impressed by him. He’s a really, really incredible guy in terms of his passion, his football intelligence – it was a pleasure being around him in that respect.
“I know that doesn’t guarantee success, but it does alter your view about someone.”
Jordan responded: “I don’t think anyone can doubt that he’s passionate and can bring people with him, but my question about Pochettino is whether he has this tiny little factor that only the top managers have, and it’s something you can’t bottle or distil, it’s this win gene. And I don’t think he has it.”
Murphy hit back by saying: “He’s got to prove that. The one thing I would suggest to judge him differently on him, is he’d have to be blind and deaf not to learn from his experience at PSG dealing with some of the best players on the planet and how to deal with personalities, which he’ll have to do more at Chelsea than he did as Tottenham manager.
“At Spurs he had a lot of young players who he could mould and would listen and were more open-earned, but I think at Chelsea there’s going to be bigger names, bigger egos, players how have done more, and his experiences at PSG would have evolved him in man-to-man management.”
Jordan then added: “He’s also got to overcome elite managers in the Premier League. It’s not just galvanising the squad. We all know Pochettino can make Chelsea contenders, and if they’re satisfied with that, that’s fine.
“But if they want to win he’s going to have to overcome Guardiola, Klopp and whoever else we think is an elite manager in this league, and that is where I believe he will come up short.” More

He told BT Sport: “If there aren’t conversations going on in the corridors of power about Kane then I’d be surprised.”
Ferdinand then joked: “Sell now before the season even finishes.

Chelsea set to keep Joao Felix next season despite refusing to pay transfer fee as Pochettino eyes Lukaku partnership

But the prospect of a further season in the Premier League is emerging as the most likely outcome despite the fact Chelsea will not make the top four.
Atletico boss Diego Simeone has moved on since Felix left the club during the January transfer window.
They have won 12 and lost just one of 16 games since the player’s departure on a six month deal to Chelsea paying around £9.7m in fees.
Simeone is keen to make the move permanent but Atletico chiefs want £88m for the Portuguese international, who has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea in recent weeks.

He has been on the bench for the last three matches under caretaker boss Frank Lampard.
Felix, 23, is settled in London and happy to stay but wants assurances from the incoming permanent boss – expected to be Mauricio Pochettino – that he will get game time.
With that and with Chelsea reluctant to pay the full asking price for Felix, a compromise second loan is likely.
That would cost Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly around £18m in fees plus Felix’s wages of around £250k-a-week.

Julian Nagelsmann ‘at top of five-man shortlist to become next Tottenham manager but wages demands causing huge problem’

JULIAN NAGELSMANN is Tottenham’s leading candidate to become their next manager, according to reports. But Spurs face a huge roadblock in their pursuit of the ex-Bayern Munich man as he is proving an expensive option.

Nagelsmann, 35, who has reportedly ruled himself out of the Chelsea vacancy, was sacked by the German champions last month – although his contract has not been terminated.
It means he is essentially on gardening leave and is still receiving his £10.6million-a-year salary from the Bundesliga giants.
Joining from RB Leipzig in 2021, he still has three years left on his contract with Bayern.
So Tottenham’s acquisition of Nagelsmann would have to involve them paying Bayern compensation in order for his existing contract to be terminated.

According to The Telegraph, there is a “limit” to the amount of compensation Spurs are prepared to pay Bayern.
And if he is deemed too pricey, they could look to alternatives on their four-man shortlist.
Celtic’s Ange Postecoglu, ex-Barcelona boss Luis Enrique, Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi and Feyenoord’s Arne Slot have all been linked.
But one of them is now understood to have been taken off as Spurs whittle their shortlist down to just four candidates including Nagelsmann.
