Man Utd ‘have ambitious Rasmus Hojlund swap transfer bid rejected as Atalanta demand £86m in full’

MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly had a players-plus-cash bid for Rasmus Hojlund rejected by Atalanta. The Red Devils have made the striker one of their transfer priorities this summer.
Manchester United have had a bid for Rasmus Hojlund rejected

And they are believed to be in the process of reaching a transfer agreement for the signings of Hojlund and Andre Onana.
But their chances of signing Hojlund have taken a blow after United offered Atalanta a player exchange deal including money on top.
Atalanta value the 20-year-old at £86million and are insisting on a cash-only deal, report The Athletic.

United view that as excessive and had hoped the Serie A club would be willing to reduce their asking price if a player was exchanged.
Midfielders Fred and Donny van de Beek are available for transfer with the pair missing United’s pre-season friendly win over Leeds in Oslo on Wednesday.
United’s summer budget of around £100m means they may be forced to look elsewhere if Atalanta refuse to budge, as Onana could cost around £50m.
The Red Devils have been dealt another blow in their Hojlund pursuit with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly interested in the youngster.
But Hojlund is said to be keen on a move to Old Trafford and agreeing personal terms should not prove difficult.
That means a deal could be wrapped up quickly if United and Atalanta reach an agreement on his transfer fee.
Erik ten Hag also has other attacking targets if the club miss out on Hojlund, including Randal Kolo Muani and Victor Osimhen. More

Henderson is believed to earn in the region of £190k a week with the Reds.

And the Premier League winner would have to pay NO tax in the Middle East.
Henderson, who has two years left on his Anfield deal, is now set for talks with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp ahead of making a big decision on his future.
And what the German says to Henderson over his planned role for next season will also be a factor as the Reds bid to challenge Manchester City once again.
Klopp has signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Hungary star Dominik Sbozoszlai to bolster his midfield this summer and he also played Alexander-Arnold in that position towards the end of last season.

Henderson, who has 77 Three Lions caps, knows a move to Saudi Arabia would wreck his chances of playing for Gareth Southgate in Germany next summer due to the poor standard of the league.
England are certain to qualify for Euro 2024 and Henderson remains a key part of Southgate’s plans.
Gerrard, after reservations, decided to join Al-Ettifaq and while it is not a good move in terms of his managerial career, it will be incredibly lucrative.
Henderson joined Liverpool from Sunderland in 2011 and became club captain after Gerrard moved to the MLS in 2015.
He had made 492 appearances in all competitions, winning the Premier League, Champions League, Club World Cup, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
Other players who could be heading to Saudi Arabia include former Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard, who says the England midfielder is open to the move following an unsuccessful stint at Nottingham Forest.
Spanish keeper David de Gea, now a free agent after his contract expired with the Red Devils, would also be seen as a major coup if he moved to the Middle East.
Another ex-United player, Paul Pogba, has been offered £128million in wages over the next three years. Juventus are willing to sell him for £8.5million.
Several European aces have already moved to Saudi – where Cristiano Ronaldo started the revolution last December – including Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante and Roberto Firmino.
