Sir Jim Ratcliffe could sack THREE Man Utd chiefs including CEO Richard Arnold when he takes over club on Monday

SIR JIM RATCLIFFE could swing the axe on THREE senior Manchester United chiefs after his £1.3bn buy-in is complete. Ratcliffe is set to take over 25 per cent stake of United on Monday.

The British billionaire will immediately control United’s football operations as the Glazer family take a back seat.
Ratcliffe, 71, is already planning a massive overhaul of the club’s player scouting and acquisition network.
And that means the jobs of CEO Richard Arnold, football director John Murtough and director of football operations David Harrison are all at risk.
Harrison was only appointed in February.

But Ratcliffe is concerned how the trio have continued to oversee a succession of expensive purchases following the departure of previous chief Ed Woodward.
In the last decade following Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement, United have spent a whopping £1.4bn on players.
And lifelong United supporter Ratcliffe is stunned so much has been spent in exchange for so little success.
During that time, Old Trafford chiefs have coughed millions on a number of flops.

That includes a club record £89m for Paul Pogba, £85.5m on Antony, £75m on Romelu Lukaku, £73m on Jadon Sancho, £59.7m on Angel Di Maria, £44.5m on Anthony Martial and £35m on Donny van de Beek.
But United haven’t won the title since 2013 and have banked just one FA Cup, two League Cups and a Europa League title since Fergie won 28 major trophies during his glittering reign.
Erik ten Hag has spent £374m in initial fees since taking charge.

But Ratcliffe accepts the Dutchman has credit in the bank following last season’s third-place league finish and Carabao Cup success.
He also concedes Ten Hag was brought in 18 months ago on the back of a succession of failures before him – David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.
Ratcliffe has held discussions with co-chairman Joel Glazer over United’s whole football structure.
The self-made Ineos chemicals billionaire has made it clear he will focus on this side of the operation and his buy-in is expected to spark a series of new appointments.

The 42-year-old is currently on high demand after leaving Monaco last month.
The Mancunian has been linked with a move to United as part of a management shake-up if Sir Jim Ratcliffe completes his 25 per cent takeover and takes control of football operations.
The ex-Southampton and Tottenham chief recently moved back to his native North West, fuelling talk that the Red Devils would be his next port of call.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Mitchell – who is still a free agent – was seen at the stands of the Coliseum on Monday watching Getafe beat Cadiz 1-0 thanks to Borja Mayoral’s winner.

Greenwood started for Jose Bordalas’ side and also provided the assist on 76 minutes.
The striker is spending the season with the Spanish side on loan from United.
The ex-England international has amassed three goals and two assists in nine appearances across all competitions.
Greenwood was arrested in January last year following charges of attempted rape, assault and coercive control.

He was later charged with the offences, before the case was dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service in February.
United subsequently launched an internal probe, before deciding that Greenwood could not continue his career at Old Trafford.
Mitchell continues to be monitored by United but Erik ten Hag’s side is facing competition from Saudi Arabia.
Saudi clubs are looking at the transfer guru, who scouted the likes of Son Heung-Min, Sadio Mane and Dele Alli, as they plan the next phase of their recruitment drive. More

After loan spells at Norwich and Excelsior, Edwards joined Vitoria on a permanent basis in 2019.
Two-and-a-half seasons later he signed for Sporting Lisbon, where he has gone on to excel.
Edwards came back to haunt Spurs last season, scoring against them in the Champions League.
According to Portuguese outlet Correio de Manha, Tottenham are interested in bringing Edwards back to the club.

His contract is believed to possess a £52million release clause.
Spurs are claimed to possess a 35 per cent sell on clause of their own, however, which would see them only need to pay £34m for Edwards’ services.
Tottenham negotiated with Sporting earlier this year, agreeing a deal to sign full-back Pedro Porro.
The Lilywhites are claimed to have waived a fraction of their sell-on clause in the Porro deal.

“I was just a kid, you know what kids are like. I was just a kid growing up, so I could be like, whatever.
“Of course I was naturally a bit of a Spurs fan but I was playing for the club and went to all the games and stuff.
“Everyone has a different journey. For me it worked out, going over to Portugal. It took me a long time though.”

Premier League clubs on transfer red alert after Real Madrid sensationally ‘RULE OUT move for Kylian Mbappe’

REAL MADRID have sensationally ruled out a swoop for Kylian Mbappe, according to reports. The Spanish giants have been strongly linked with the Frenchman throughout the last two summer transfer windows.

In 2022 Los Blancos felt that they had sealed a deal to sign him, only for Mbappe to shock them by signing a two-year extension with PSG.
Mbappe, 24, is once again in the final year of his deal at Parc des Princes.
He has been widely expected to this time sign for Real Madrid.
But according to Spanish outlet Cadena Ser, the LaLiga side will NOT be making a move for him.

They claim that Real Madrid deem Mbappe’s salary demands to be too high.
It’s reported that the France forward would demand at least £330,000 a week to move to Madrid.
By contrast, Jude Bellingham is claimed to earn £150k a week.
The report also claims that Mbappe will be TOO OLD for Madrid chiefs’ liking.

He is set to turn 25 next month, with Real Madrid having prioritised big-money swoops for younger players in recent windows.
It’s also claimed that Madrid bosses are wary of a fan backlash against Mbappe.
Many supporters were left upset by Mbappe’s decision to renew his deal with PSG two summers ago.
Asked for comment after his side’s 3-0 Champions League win over Braga this evening, coy Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti said: “No comment. I won’t answer this about Mbappe.”
Madrid’s stance is set to put Premier League teams on red alert.
Liverpool reportedly believe that they could complete a sensational deal after six years of talks with Mbappe’s camp.
Manchester United, Newcastle and Chelsea would also be likely to covet a deal.
While another extension at PSG has not yet been ruled out. More

Premier League clubs set to vote on January transfer rule change that would be a huge blow to Newcastle

PREMIER LEAGUE clubs are set to vote on a huge rule change ahead of the January transfer window. And should it go through, the laws would be a big blow for Newcastle.

Premier League clubs are prepared to vote on a proposal to ban loans between associated clubs with the same owners.
The report claims the 20 top-flight sides may fast-track the new temporary legislation at the next shareholders meeting on November 21.
A minimum of 14 votes are required from the 20 clubs – a two-thirds majority – in order to pass the new rule through immediately.
That would be enough to cover the January window before a long-term solution is found in time for the summer.
    READ MORE ON FOOTBALL
The idea is that the Premier League want to protect the integrity of the competition.
The suggested rule is not explicitly being put forward to stop Ruben Neves from joining Newcastle on loan – although that would be a deal in jeopardy.
Both the Toon and Al-Hilal are majority-owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.
As things stand, there is nothing preventing a club signing a player and then loaning or even selling the same individual to one of their other teams when the transfer market reopens.

And that means Al-Hilal, who signed Neves from Wolves for £47million in the summer, could strike a deal with Newcastle to allow the Portuguese midfielder to move to St James’ Park in 2024.
The Magpies are on the hunt for a midfielder after flagship summer transfer Sandro Tonali was banned for ten months for betting offences.
Premier League bosses have been privately lobbied by some club chiefs after the potential of Newcastle landing the Portuguese star on loan was reported by SunSport last month.
League chiefs will point to the adoption of the demand for “fair market value” in all related party transactions – including permanent transfers and sponsorship deals – as the blueprint.
It is felt that the current exclusion of similar measures for loans is an anomaly that should be removed.
The Premier League outlines related parties as having “material influence over the club or (being) an entity in the same group of companies as the club”.
It adds that their discretion is based on the “substance of the relationship and not merely the legal form”.
Newcastle and four Saudi clubs including Al-Hilal would meet that criteria.
Manchester City would, too, with the other clubs in the City Football Group, including surprise LaLiga leaders Girona, Palermo and New York City.

Brighton are linked with Belgian side Union Saint Gilloise while Chelsea and Strasbourg have the same owners.
So that could lead to a possible backlash from some clubs – although the 14-vote threshold is expected to be met. More
