And, including add-ons, the Palmer deal means they have now surpassed the £1billion mark since Boehly took over last year.
The 21-year-old, who looks set to become the latest addition to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad, won the age group Euros with England in the summer.
According to The Times, Chelsea have reached an agreement with City for the Wythenshawe-born player.
They go on to state the Blues are “close” to completing the signing.

Palmer scored the opening goal in Man City’s Community Shield defeat to Arsenal earlier this month, before he also netted in their Super Cup win over Sevilla.
But he has managed just ten minutes of action in their first three Premier League games – with that cameo coming off the bench in a 3-0 victory over Burnley.
Palmer has registered six goals and two assists in 41 games for Man City.
He featured 25 times for Pep Guardiola’s Treble winners last season.

However, just seven of those came as a starter as he has been forced to play a bit-part role in City’s successes.
Brighton saw a £30m bid for Palmer rejected.
Earlier in the window, Guardiola spoke about the young attacker, saying: “I don’t know [if he will stay]. When we arrived I had the opinion that he wanted to leave but now I don’t know.
“I don’t think a loan is going to happen. He’s going to stay or he’s going to be sold.”
The move will mean Pochettino has further bolstered his attacking options following injuries to Christopher Nkunku and Carney Chukwuemeka.
Boehly has already splashed the cash on several signings this summer including Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, Axel Disasi, Nicolas Jackson, Robert Sanchez and Lesley Ugochukwu.
Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe. More

Reports at the time stated that the proposal was from an “unnamed” club, although football reporter Alex Ibaceta now claims Arsenal were behind it.
According to Ibaceta and DAZN, the Gunners are now preparing another world record offer for Earps, who has less than one year remaining on her current United contract.
The current record transfer fee for a goalkeeper stands at £100,000 following Kailen Sheridan’s move from Gotham FC to San Diego Wave in the National Women’s Soccer League.
However, Arsenal are preparing a “significantly higher” offer.

Lionesses team-mate Keira Walsh is the world’s most expensive female footballer after joining Barcelona from Manchester City for £350,000 last year.
Earps, 30, joined Man Utd from Wolfsburg in 2019 and has since established herself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper and England’s No.1.
She played an integral role in the Lionesses’ European Championship triumph last summer and was crowned as the best women’s goalkeeper in the world by Fifa as a result.
The Nottingham-born star also claimed the Golden Glove award at the Women’s World Cup earlier this month after helping England to the final.

Should she join Arsenal before deadline day, Earps will become the second player to swap the Red Devils for the Gunners this summer.

England striker Alessia Russo joined Jonas Eidevall’s side in a free transfer last month.
Arsenal tabled two world-record bids for the 24-year-old in January, both of which were pushed back by Man Utd.
However, the Red Devils failed to negotiate a new contract with the striker so she left the club for free at the end of the 2022-23 Women’s Super League campaign. More

Tottenham ‘agree loan transfer for Tanguy Ndombele’ but deal could collapse with midfielder unconvinced on new club

TOTTENHAM have agreed a deal with Serie A side Genoa for the loan of Tanguy N’Dombele, according to reports. But Fabrizio Romano says the deal is on the brink of collapse with the midfielder being unconvinced by Genoa, who were only promoted to the Serie A this season.

Spurs are desperate to offload N’Dombele, who now sits as the club’s highest earner on £200,000-a-week after Harry Kane left the club.
Tottenham paid £53million to sign the midfielder from Lyon in 2019 but he has never truly settled in North London.
His most regular spell in the side came under Jose Mourinho, but he was shipped out on loan twice by Antonio Conte to Lyon and Napoli.
After spending last season on loan at Serie A champions Napoli, the midfielder feels he is above playing for a side that has just been promoted to the league in the form of Genoa.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
There had been a glimmer of hope that Tottenham’s record signing might have been brought back into the first team fold by Ange Postecoglou after he impressed in training during the Aussie’s early weeks in charge.
But the midfielder picked up an injury during Tottenham’s pre-season tour of Asia which saw the likes of Giovani Lo Celso moved ahead of the Frenchman in Postecoglou’s pecking order.
Things turned sour though with Postecoglou becoming frustrated with both the midfielder’s attitude and timekeeping on the tour.
Spurs are now desperate to offload him, even if the move is just a loan.

Turkish side Galatasaray are also interested in a deal for the midfielder.
It was rumoured that the Turkish club offered Tottenham £11m for N’Dombele earlier this window but again he was unconvinced by the project.
N’Dombele is contracted to Spurs until the summer of 2025 and his wages currently cost the club over £10m-a-year.
During his four-year spell at the North London club, he’s made 63 appearances with a return of six goals. More

Felix, 23, is now back at Atletico Madrid – but has been completely frozen out by boss Diego Simeone.
Reports in Spain suggest Felix has been waiting for Barcelona to make a move.
And he was even linked with a shock move to Liverpool, with Mo Salah being chased in a mega-money deal by Saudi side Al-Ittihad.
But Ben Jacobs reports Felix would be up for another chance with Chelsea.

And Blues supporters reckon he could be in Blue again this season after seeing Felix’s Twitter page.
The £112million striker’s profile picture still shows him in his Chelsea gear… with “Chelsea Football Club💙” in his bio.
Atletico signed Felix for the incredible fee from Benfica in 2019.
But he failed to live up to his price tag, netting 34 goals in 131 games.

He hoped to resurrect his career with Chelsea last season but, while he showed some flashes of brilliance in the struggling Blues side, he only managed to contribute four goals in 16 appearances.
As a result, new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino decided not to opt and sign Felix on a permanent deal for the 2023/24 season.
Saudi Arabia have been a possible deal maker for a permanent move for the Portuguese star- but he remains set on a season-long loan.
A number of the Gulf State clubs are interested in Felix including Al-Ittihad, Al-Shabab and Al-Hilal.
However, Felix has confirmed he wants to remain in Europe – with Catalan giants Barcelona in the lead to sign the winger but have until Friday’s 11pm transfer deadline to finalise.

New Chelsea star Petrovic takes club legend’s shirt number after Premier League rule BLOCKED his dream choice

NEW Chelsea signing Djordje Petrovic will wear the number 28 made iconic by club legend Cesar Azpilicueta after his first choice was denied. The Blues signed Robert Sanchez for £25million from Brighton earlier in the window after letting Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga go.
Djordje Petrovic will wear the number 28 made iconic by club legend Cesar Azpilicueta
And in need of a back up to Sanchez, Chelsea confirmed a deal for Serbian stopper Petrovic.
He has signed a seven-year deal and takes the No28 left behind by former captain Azpilicueta.
But that was only after the Premier League denied him the chance of wearing the No99 he had at New England Revolution in the MLS.
Petrovic said: “I’m very happy to wear number 28 and I know it means a lot at this club.

“I asked for number 99 originally but I was told it was too high for the Premier League.
“I saw what was available after that and I liked the look of the No.28 jersey.”
Renato Sanches suffered a similar fate in 2017 when he signed on loan for Swansea from Bayern Munich.
His request to wear No85 was rejected, meaning he took No35 instead.

Forgotten wonderkid dubbed ‘Messi’s heir’ who Chelsea and Man City fought over at 13 signs for League One club

A FORGOTTEN wonderkid who was once dubbed “Messi’s heir” has signed for League One side Blackpool.Karamoko Dembele, 20, was the talk of football when he was coming through the ranks at Celtic and made his debut for the club’s under-20s side when he was just THIRTEEN.

He would go on to make his full first team debut at Celtic Park when he was still only 16 years old.
The winger also had both Scotland and England fighting to have him declare for them and he represented both sides at youth level – although he has not declared for either country yet.
And Chelsea and Manchester City were also scrapping for his signature after he burst on the scene.
The winger, who was born in London, joined Celtic when he was just 10 years old and regularly scooped up awards at both academy and youth team level – with the expectation that he would go on to become a first team regular at Celtic Park.
    READ MORE ON FOOTBALL
His former youth team coach David Feeney said in 2016: “I think he is very similar to Lionel Messi. If he has the right guidance, then the sky is the limit for him.
However, after making his debut for the club in the 2018-19 season, the 5ft5 winger never really managed to kick on at senior level – with injuries being a major factor.
He would go on to make just eight further appearances for The Hoops, all of them cameos from the bench before joining Ligue 1 side Brest in 2022.
Dembele made 17 appearances in his first season at the club, again largely being cameos from the bench.

But last season he featured just once in all competitions for the club.
A move to Blackpool represents an opportunity for the youngster to revive his career.
Still only 20, a move down the football pyramid from Ligue 1 to English football’s League One will give him the opportunity to gain the minutes he desperately needs to develop.
After the club unveiled his signing on Twitter, it is fair to say that Blackpool fans still believe he can come good on his potential.
One fan said: “If he’s as good as he was on my Football Manager we are winning the league ladies and gents.”
Another added: “Promising young player, shame it’s a loan but should definitely add something if played in the correct position. Let’s hope this leads to a change in formation. Good luck to the lad.”
While a third wrote: “Let us hope this is the maverick type player we badly need.” More

Ekitike, who cost PSG £30million when they bought him from Reims, has been told he does not figure in the plans of new coach Luis Enrique.
And the French Champions have tried to include him as part of a £55million bid for Frankfurt’s French international Randal Kolo Mauni.
That offer has been rejected by the Bundesliga club but Kolo Mauni has now reportedly gone on strike and flown to Paris in an effort to force a deal.
And that uncertainty has left Ekitike’s future up in the air as he waits to find out what is going on.

But it seems likely that he will be moving somewhere before tomorrow’s transfer deadline and the trio of London teams are all on standby to strike a last minute deal.
