Spurs possess the option to trigger a 12 month extension in the deal.
But according to Italian expert Gianluca DiMarzio, they will let Conte’s contract expire and he will depart.
Appearing on Sky in Italy, DiMarzio lifted the lid on the 53-year-old’s situation.
He said: “The news I can tell you with certainty is that Antonio Conte will leave Tottenham at the end of the season.

“There was no spark, his contract is expiring and the club has not asked him for a renewal.
“The club does not like the frequent jibes.
“Conte wants players to win, while the club prefers to trade, the feeling with the club has not clicked.
“His family, among other things, has remained in Italy.”

The former Chelsea boss was appointed by Spurs in November 2021 as successor to Nuno Espirito Santo.
He helped inspire an upturn in form that led to Tottenham pipping Arsenal to fourth spot last term.
But things have gone backwards this time around, with Spurs’ performances largely poor even in victory.
Tottenham have picked up just four points from four league games since the Premier League resumed following the World Cup.
They sit fifth in the table, six points off the top four.
Conte has had to deal with a great deal of trauma this season.
Long-term friend and Spurs fitness coach Gian Piero Ventrone passed away following a short illness in October.
While Italian pal Gianluca Vialli died earlier this month.

Chelsea and Tottenham transfer blow as Milan Skriniar ‘agrees to join PSG for FREE in summer but could go in January’

PSG have reportedly agreed on a deal to sign Milan Skriniar this summer, handing a blow to Chelsea and Tottenham. The Premier League duo were hoping to sign the centre-back to strengthen their backlines.

But PSG have jumped to the front of the queue as they continued their interest in him from the summer.
The Ligue 1 giants have agreed to sign him in the summer after his contract expires at Inter Milan, according to L’Equipe.
The report also suggests the Slovak could make the move this month if PSG pays the Serie A side between £13-£8million.
This could interest Inter as it would mean they would get some cash for one of their top players rather than see him walk out of the door for nothing at the end of the season.

Spurs would have been hoping that the Slovakian international could have improved their backline.
Manager Antonio Conte signed Barcelona centre-back Clement Lenglet on loan last summer as a temporary solution while a long-term fix was identified.
Chelsea, on the other hand, have been spending continuously since the take over by Todd Boehly.
This month the Blues signed AS Monaco defender Benoît Badiashile to bolster their defence.

However, with Wesley Fofana’s injury problems and Thiago Silva not getting any younger, Skriniar would have been a good option.
The fact that he would have been available on a free transfer would have appealed to the club after the near £500million spend since last summer. More

Man Utd ‘to launch stunning Harry Kane transfer swoop as Erik ten Hag makes Tottenham star his No1 summer target’

MANCHESTER UNITED want to sign England and Tottenham ace Harry Kane, according to reports. The Spurs star is entering the final year of his contract at Tottenham in the summer.

Kane is behind only Erling Haaland in this year’s golden boot race
And that is exactly when Man Utd are planning to take advantage and seal a stunning swoop for the 29-year-old.
According to the Daily Mail, a new striker is a priority for Erik ten Hag.
As a result, Ten Hag has listed Kane as his number one target for his summer wishlist.
Kane has scored 15 goals in 20 Premier League games this season.
    READ MORE ON MAN UTD
This tally puts him behind only Erling Haaland in the golden boot race this season.
However, Kane fits the profile of striker Ten Hag likes to have leading the line.
He is robust and is able to contribute in possession by dropping deep and spreading the play – something he has combined with Son Heung-Min for on a record-breaking number of times in the Prem.
The Mail’s report indicates Kane is also open to joining United.

The lack of progress at Spurs has left Kane frustrated, and there is consequently a negative feeling regarding a new deal for him.
And with the added factor of Spurs’ Champions League status looking more and more precarious by the week as opposed to United’s strengthening hand, it could be a decisive factor.
But chairman Daniel Levy will not allow Kane to leave on the cheap.
The minimum price Kane will be allowed to go for will be at least £85million, though this will likely be higher given United are a Prem rival.
Bayern Munich are another interested party and could get a deal on that sort of money, but with Kane now just 62 goals adrift of Alan Shearer’s all-time record goalscorer title – a transfer abroad could depend on Kane’s individual aspirations.
Should they fail to sign Kane, United will turn to the likes of Napoli’s Victor Osimhen or Red Bull Salzburg forward Benjamin Sesko.
The need for a striker is desperately apparent after Cristiano Ronaldo departed the club.
Wout Weghorst has been brought in on loan for the rest of the season, but all parties recognise this is likely to only be a short-term solution. More

Antonio Conte slams Tottenham flops and claims his Spurs are defending like a relegation-calibre team after City shocker

ANTONIO CONTE warned Tottenham are defending like a team scrapping in the relegation zone right now.Spurs have shipped 21 goals in their last ten league games – including four in Thursday’s 4-2 defeat at Manchester City – and have conceded two or more in nine of those fixtures.
Spurs’ bumpy form has put their hopes of a top four place in perilCredit: Getty
It is proving to be their Achilles heel which is overshadowing the progress Conte feels the team is making at the other end of the pitch when taking on the bigger opponents.
The Italian said: “The positive situation is I think we have improved a lot to face important opponents like Manchester City.
“On one side, we are doing progress. On the other, compared to last season, we are doing less.
“To concede 21 goals in the last ten games, this is usually for a team that fights in the relegation zone.

“To turn the season, we have to improve when conceding a goal easily. To concede at the moment at least two goals every game, we have to turn this into a positive.”
Spurs have kept just five clean sheets in the league compared to 13 last season after Conte had arrived.
The North Londoners have conceded 31 goals in total in the league, which is five and six more than Everton and West Ham respectively, both of whom are in the drop zone.
Their form in the last five games is worse than relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest and Wolves.

Asked how he can solve his defensive problems, Conte replied: “I think we have to improve the spirit, the collaboration, the will, the desire, the feeling to suffer.
“Maybe we have forgotten to suffer and to understand that if we want to win the game then maybe you have to stay there, to suffer like last season.
“You have to defend the result, the will and desire not to concede a goal.”
The poor run in the last ten fixtures has left Spurs five points off the Champions League spots, having played a game more than fourth-placed Newcastle.
While defeat to Fulham on Monday would see the in-form Cottagers leapfrog them in the table.
Conte feels it will take another “miracle” to finish in the top four – which was how he described last season’s achievement of doing exactly that.
But he added: “We want to be realistic but at the same time in myself I dream.
“I dream, I want to play Champions League. There are 18 games in the Premier League.”
“There is another competition in the FA Cup and for sure in our mind we need to dream of something important.” More

According to Calciomercato, Zaniolo’s agent has travelled to London in order to negotiate with Tottenham.
They add that the Lilywhites are the 23-year-old’s preferred destination.
While in London, Zaniolo’s representative could also talk to West Ham.

Results have started to match poor displays since the Premier League’s resumption, however, with Antonio Conte’s side’s latest struggle coming against Manchester City yesterday.
Spurs took a shock 2-0 half-time lead through Dejan Kulusevski and Emerson Royal’s quickfire double, only for a series of defensive calamities to undermine their efforts and see them fall to a 4-2 defeat.
Tottenham are now five points off the top four, with Newcastle, Manchester United and City all possessing a game in hand.
The Lilywhites managed to overhaul a bigger deficit to Arsenal during last season’s top four race – with January signings Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur playing a huge part in pushing them over the line.

They will likely need similarly high quality reinforcements if they are to repeat the trick this year.

‘Spurs bottled it’ – Brutal Jamie Carragher tears into woeful Tottenham defence after second-half meltdown vs Man City

JAMIE CARRAGHER tore into Tottenham for bottling a two-goal lead in the second half of their away trip to Premier League champions Manchester City.Dejan Kulusevski and Emerson Royal sent Spurs in at half-time with a healthy lead.

Carragher says Spurs ‘bottled it’Credit: Sky Sports
For once, Arsenal fans would’ve been thanking their North London rivals for denying title rivals City points, with Pep Guardiola’s men trailing the Gunners by eight at that time.
Arsenal also hold a game in hand, and should they have won that IF Spurs did their job, the gap could’ve been extended to 11 points.
However, a second-half meltdown saw Spurs surrender their two-goal lead within eight minutes of the restart.
World Cup winner Julian Alvarez smashed home City’s first in the 51st before Erling Haaland ended his two-game goal drought in the 53rd.

Mahrez then grabbed a goal of his own just after the hour mark to hand City the lead.
The Algerian wizard also added City’s fourth in added-time, putting the final nail in Spurs’ coffin.
And ex-Liverpool and England defender Carragher has slammed Antonio Conte’s men for bottling the game.

Carragher also tore into Tottenham’s defenders AND captain Hugo Lloris, who is the man in between the sticks.
Lloris has been shaky since returning from the World Cup and was beaten at his near post for Mahrez’s first.
Carragher added: “He [Conte] can never rely on his back three, or back five or goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet. I always feel like they’re going to concede a goal.
“He’s not going to change his tactics, this is what he does, he relies on a good strong base and having great attacking players on the counter-attack.
“He’s got those great attacking players, but his goalkeeper and defenders are nowhere near good enough for a Conte team to be successful, and that’s where they’ve got major problems.
“The goalkeeper at Tottenham right now, he’s been a good goalkeeper, but he has become a liability, they need a new goalkeeper for next season.
“Antonio Conte is talking about taking them further, getting top four or challenging for big honours.
“They need a new goalkeeper, need two centre-backs and a right wing-back and that’s not to come into the squad, that’s to play.”
On the other side of the dugout, Man City boss Guardiola called out his own fans.
Guardiola was unimpressed by their silence for 45 minutes.
On what’s missing at City at the moment, he said: “Passion, desire, to win from minute one.
“It’s the same for our spectators, our fans. They are so silent for 45 minutes.”

Guardiola added: “I want my fans back. I want my fans back in here. Not my away fans – my away fans is the best.
“But my fans in here, we want support for every corner, their reaction and support, because we play, we cannot expect [to win] because Tottenham is one of the greatest opposition in how good they defend, how they are organised, how they make a build-up, how they link with Harry Kane, Kulusevski and Son, they make incredible switch of plays, the threat they have in every single moment is incredible.” More
