Tottenham paid £9million to have him temporarily and they already have an agreement in place to sign him for £31million.
However, the deal only becomes possible providing Spurs finish in the top four this term, claim Calciomercato.

Eddie Howe’s men are just two points behind and have two games in hand.

There is also concern regarding Spurs’ current form as they have won just one of their last five matches.
Additionally, the future of manager Antonio Conte is uncertain, which could prevent the team enjoying a strong finish to the campaign.
Kulusevksi also reportedly needs to feature in at least 50 per cent of Tottenham games for the agreement to be in place come the summer, which he is set to do having played 27 games this season.
The Swede has only found the back of the net twice this term.

Ten best players Tottenham almost signed including Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe and Virgil van Dijk

TOTTENHAM have endured a frustrating time trying to become one of the Premier League’s top sides.Spurs have regularly finished in the top four and even reached a Champions League final but have not been able to claim a trophy since 2008.
Antonio Conte has found life hard at Tottenham
The managerial likes of Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte have all found it impossible to break that duck.
One factor behind this has been players brought into the club, while there have been successes, there have also been many that have flopped.
However, if the club had managed to complete deals for some of the players that there were reportedly close to signing, then Spurs might have had a bigger trophy cabinet by now.
Here is a list of ten players that Tottenham missed out on.

Ronaldo eventually joined Man United and would go on to enjoy one of the most successful careers in football.

The Liverpool star was a backup option for the club when they signed Toby Alderweireld in 2015, while he was still at Celtic.
While the Belgian defender was a good servant for the club, he did not hit the heights that Van Dijk has shown.
The Dutchman went to Southampton before moving on to Liverpool, where he has won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League.
    Samuel Eto’o

Eto’o was linked with a move to Spurs during his time at Real Mallorca but like many English sides, they opted not to take a punt on the promising 21-year-old.
The Cameroonian proved his doubters wrong as he became one of the most prolific forwards in Europe following a transfer to LaLiga giants Barcelona.
Now retired, the striker boasts a trophy cabinet that features four league titles and three Champions League trophies, among many other awards.
    Rivaldo

In 2002, Spurs were looking for a statement signing and Brazil’s World Cup winner Rivaldo was available on a free transfer.
But despite trying their best to convince him to come to the Premier League, the midfielder opted for Serie A giants AC Milan.
Manuel Auset, Rivaldo’s close friend and lawyer at the time, added: “Tottenham offered him the chance to play in the Premier League and there was a meeting with me, an agent and Mr Levy. Then we went to Milan, spoke about it there, and reached an agreement.”

Former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp admitted that the ex-Liverpool star was on the club’s radar and that he was “liked a lot”.
However, after not quite fitting the desired striker role, Tottenham missed out on Saurez as he made the move to Anfield.
Redknapp said: “I wasn’t looking for a left-winger as such and before I’d had a chance to do much with him, he’d moved to Liverpool. Not that I’m saying we would have definitely got him.”

Former Chelsea star Hazard was close to becoming a Spurs player after a meeting with ex-first-team coach Clive Allen when he was still at Ligue 1 side Lille.
Allen has revealed that he was “confident” that a deal would happen at that Hazard would have moved to White Hart Lane.
Allen said: “The chief scout and I met with Hazard and he was keen to come to Tottenham at the time but, in the end, he decided to join Chelsea.”
    Sadio Mane

Another player that Spurs were outbid for, Sadio Mane was a top target for the club in 2016.
However, Liverpool came in for the exciting attacker with a £34m bid and a salary offer of £90,000 per week, which proved to be enough to complete the deal.
Spurs would later sign Newcastle star Moussa Sissoko for £30m, but were able to pay the fee in staggered payments.

Tottenham tried to sign the England and Man City star while he was still at Aston Villa.
The club are believed to have submitted an offer of £25m, thinking that Villa’s financial woes would convince them to sell, but the club stood firm.
The West Midlands side would eventually sell their star a couple of years later, in a £100m deal to the Citizens.

Another gut-wrencher for Spurs fans came in the summer of 2019, when they thought their club had agreed a deal worth around £65m for then Juventus superstar Dybala.
The move fell through after no agreement could be found regarding the player’s image rights and he remained in Turin until he left for Roma three years ago. More

Spurs are set to sack their current chief Antonio Conte and have been mulling over possible successors.
Nagelsmann, 35, has come into contention after his shock axing by Bayern, who appointed Thomas Tuchel as their new manager.
Ex-Chelsea gaffer Tuchel himself had been among the list of candidates to replace Conte at Spurs.
But SunSport revealed earlier this month the German had doubts about taking the post in North London.
    READ MORE TOTTENHAM NEWS
Now the 49-year-old is out of the running after agreeing to join Bayern on a contract until 2025.
Nagelsmann has been liked by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy for some time and was a target in 2021 before he left RB Leipzig for Bayern.
And the feeling appears mutual, with The Telegraph reporting that Nagelsmann previously developed an affinity for the club and even owned a Spurs shirt.
However, it is unclear whether the wunderkind manager would want a break from the game following his ruthless sacking in Bavaria.

That may mean Spurs could have to wait until the summer to appoint him and put first-team coach Ryan Mason in caretaker charge until the end of the season.
Mauricio Pochettino and Luis Enrique – both currently out of work – are also being considered, along with Fulham chief Marco Silva and Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou.
Nagelsmann won the Bundesliga last season and leaves Bayern a point off the top of the table this term, having guided the German giants through to the Champions League quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, Conte was still in Italy on Friday having left for his homeland on Sunday.
That came less than 24 hours after his explosive press conference following a 3-3 draw at Southampton, where he slammed his “selfish” players for throwing away a 3-1 lead.
The fiery Italian usually stays home to see his family for an extended period during international breaks.
But now there is no definitive date set for his return to Hotspur Way, if he is to come back at all.
The former Chelsea chief is not expected to still be at the club come Tottenham’s next game at Everton on April 3. More

Tottenham collapse to 3-2 defeat in secret friendly as they blow 2-0 lead – and Antonio Conte is NOT in charge

TOTTENHAM blew a two-goal lead in a behind doors friendly with Antonio Conte still away from the club. Spurs are looking to regroup during the international break after a week which saw the club repeatedly make headlines.

Between dropping points late on at Southampton, Conte’s blistering post-match rant and then reports that the Italian is set to be sacked, there has been no shortage of drama in north London.
And an international break friendly will have done little to raise the mood as Spurs lost 3-2 to League One Ipswich.
The friendly at Tottenham’s training ground, Hotspur Way, saw some senior players who were not on international duty take part in a 70 minute game without supporters.
Encouragingly for Spurs fans, the match saw Hugo Lloris start between the sticks.

The goalkeeper, who retired from international football earlier this year, had been out since February with a knee injury.
And his time on the pitch saw Tottenham take a two-goal lead after strikes from Lucas Moura and Japhet Tanganga.
But after Lloris was subbed off, Spurs conceded three goals and lost the game.
Conte was absent from the match after he jumped aboard a Ryanair flight and headed home to Italy days after his press conference meltdown.

I stopped Tottenham supremo Daniel Levy selling Harry Kane to Leicester for £600,000

TIM SHERWOOD has claimed that he stopped Tottenham from selling Harry Kane to Leicester City – for just £600,000.Kane has become the club’s record goalscorer, with 271 goals for the North London side.

However, manager at the time Tim Sherwood argued against the moveCredit: PA:Empics Sport
But before he became a legend at Spurs, Kane struggled with loan spells with Norwich City, Millwall, Leyton Orient and the Foxes.
That was until the closing stages of the 2013/14 season, when former manager Sherwood handed him his first start in the Premier League for Spurs.
He told talkSPORT: “Daniel (Levy) asked me what the team was (for Sunderland).
“So I wasted my time telling him what the back four and the midfield was and as soon as I get to Harry, he was asking me ‘why certain more experienced players are not playing in front of Harry.

“I said because he has earned the right to play.”
Sherwood picked the now-England star ahead of the likes of Roberto Soldado, Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor.
He added: “It was just a case of the boy had earned the right and I always judged everyone on a level playing field, and if I feel like they are producing in training, then they deserve the opportunity and Harry certainly did that.
“So it was a tough conversation because when Daniel looked at me and he trusted my judgement on players.”

But the club had received an offer to buy Kane from Leicester City, and there was a consideration to accept the deal until Sherwood intervened.
He said: “But he (Levy) was possibly being told by someone else this player possibly was not good enough for the Premier League.
“And at the time, Tottenham wanted to buy players not only for the Premier League but for the Champions League.
“So it was obviously Franco Baldini getting into his ear and that he wasn’t good enough and they had a bid lined up from Leicester to sell him for £600,000.
“I resisted it, obviously. There was no way he was going to go for that. in my opinion, he would have eaten £600,000 worth of food since he’s been ten years of age at the club.
“So it was absolute nonsense to let him go for that.
“I don’t know if Daniel was prepared (to accept the deal), but he put it to me with Franco Baldini sitting there, that it was on the table.
“And in the end, Daniel had to take the trust of someone and the trust came from Harry getting into the team the next day and subsequently scoring three in three games.

“And I think he realised that either the price tag has got to go up or this boy might be good enough for Tottenham’s first team.”

And in that role he first got a glimpse of Grealish and was left dazzled by the then Aston Villa wonderkid.
He advised Redknapp to try and make a move for the England star, suggesting a swap deal that would have seen Jermaine Jenas join Villa.
Recalling the story on talkSPORT, Sherwood said: “I watched him when he was 16 against Tottenham’s Under-18s.
“I remember going back to the first-team game at White Hart Lane and Redknapp said, ‘Well, what was the score?’

“I said, ‘I don’t know H, all I was doing was watch this boy Grealish’.
“It was incredible. I said, ‘[Villa] want to take Jermaine Jenas, we should do a swap for this boy.’
“Harry, quite rightly, said, ‘He’s only 16, by the time he’s in the first-team I’ll be gone’. As a football manager he’s absolutely right, looking after yourself as you would do.
“But for the club it would’ve been a great move. It would’ve been a great move for Jermaine as he ended up going to Villa [on loan] anyway.”
