Man Utd legend Louis Saha brutally predicts which Premier League manager will be sacked first

MANCHESTER UNITED legend Louis Saha has made a brutal prediction as to which Premier League manager will be sacked first.Saha said that new Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou “is the first name that comes to mind” when he was asked who would be the first Premier League manager to go.

Postecoglou signed a four-year-deal with Spurs in June and faces a huge task in attempting to guide the Lilywhites back to Europe.
It has not been a straightforward start to life at Spurs for the Australian – with the club experiencing a disrupted pre-season.
Their friendly with Leicester in Bangkok was cancelled due to monsoon conditions.
And their next game was against local Singapore side Lion City Sailors after Roma pulled out of the friendly – making it difficult for Postecoglou to get an accurate read on his players against such low quality opposition.

The North London club are also struggling to find moves for unwanted players as they seek to trim their bloated 30 man squad ahead of the new season.
One man that could be leaving is arguably their greatest player of all time, Harry Kane, which will not help matters for as the Australian seeks to settle in as Spurs manager.
And former Spurs striker Louis Saha has said that he can see the multitude of issues being too much for Postecoglou to deal with.
He told bettingodds.com: “This is a tough question to answer.

“I think the Tottenham job is a tough one, and we have seen in the past few years some top managers struggle there. If in the first few games Spurs don’t start well under Postecoglou I could see him being under a bit of pressure.

“The Kane situation hasn’t been solved and it’s a new manager with a new system so there is a lot of question marks, so he is the first name that’s come to mind when I think of the first sacking.
“It is really hard to predict what’s going to happen and in modern football even if you are a manager of a newly-promoted team and you struggle in the first 10 games you could get sacked which I just don’t think is fair at all, so it is hard to say.”
Spurs fans will also be hoping for a resolution to the club’s search for a new centre-back with moves for Edmond Tapsoba and Micky Van de Ven looking like they’ve stalled.
Defensive reinforcements are seen as key for Spurs fans if they are to return to European football next year.
And in an attempt to predict the Premier League’s top seven next year, the former Spurs man said: “I invite anyone to predict the top seven positions in the Premier League this year – it’s impossible!
“This season will be the greatest Premier League season ever. I’m really excited.
“City and Liverpool have been great for a long time but now we have Arsenal caught up, United will be up there, Chelsea will be back this year after getting a new manager and making some smart deals.
“I think Chelsea will finish fourth this year as I think having Pochettino and no European football to worry about should make them a threat but there are will be so many teams battling it out at the top of the league this year and English football can be proud.” More

Bayern Munich consider offering ‘the next Kylian Mbappe’ to Tottenham as sweetener in Harry Kane transfer chase

It is claimed Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe are flying to London.
They were expected to arrive on Friday but their journey has been pushed back till Monday.
It is added that Bayern have an ace up their sleeve in the form of 18-year-old attacking starlet Tel.
It is believed Spurs have made enquiries for the playmaker over the summer, something the Bundesliga kings could lean on.

Tel – who has been compared to Kylian Mbappe – has six goals in his 28 Bayern games.
But it remains to be seen whether he fits in Thomas Tuchel’s plans going forward.
Tuchel recently said of Tel’s future: “We will definitely discuss that – if something changes – very late in the transfer window.”
Kane has been part of Tottenham’s pre-season tour but he is believed to be open to a move to Bayern.

PSG have also been linked with the England captain but he does not want a move to France.
Bayern are thought to be willing to pay up to £86m for Kane, who has only a year left on his current Spurs deal.
But they could also wait until January in an attempt to try get the forward in a cut-price deal.

According to The Athletic, Spurs are monitoring Johnson’s situation at the City Ground.
Forest are keen to keep hold of Johnson ahead of their second season in the top flight.
Johnson has three years remaining on his contract and was a key man in the club’s survival last term.
His form for Steve Cooper’s side has increased demand in the 22-year-old this summer.

The Forest academy graduate scored eight league goals last season as his side finished four points above the relegation zone.
Those goals have seen Brentford chase a move this summer and the Bees had a £30m bid rejected in June.
The report adds, though, that Brentford have now had a £35m approach knocked back by Forest.
Forest are said to value the midfielder at around £50m.

Their latest bid did include potential add-ons but was not equal to Forest’s asking price.
Johnson is understood to have held talks with the club and Cooper over his future.

The Bundesliga giants are desperate to land the England skipper from Tottenham in a mega move.
But their discreet plans to fly to the UK were thwarted when the details of their jet were leaked and went viral online.
The aircraft was due to leave Oberpfaffenhofen at 10am this morning and return to Bavaria this evening.
But last night Bayern were said to have ditched that plane – and instead made an alternative route.

Bild state another private jet is flying from Munich Airport to Biggin Hill in South-East London today – although it is unclear whether the club bosses were on it.
Either way, the fact Bayern are planning another trip to London today – two weeks after initially heading across – shows they are relatively confident of striking a deal for the goal machine.
SunSport understands talks are still set to go ahead this afternoon with Kane’s wife Katie and family already sounding out properties and international schools in Munich.

Bayern’s CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe – who skipped the club’s tour to the Far East – are expected in London for the discussions with Spurs chief Daniel Levy.

Bayern are likely to offer Tottenham around £86million but Spurs are holding out for £100m for Kane, who turns 30 today and has 12 months left on his contract.
The German giants have had £60m and £70m offers rejected so far.
Manchester United remain interested in Kane but Levy has always insisted he did not want to sell to a rival Premier League club, while PSG are also keen.
Kane has made it clear he is keen on the move to Bayern.
His father Pat and brother Charlie, who both look after his interests, have impressed the Germans with the way they have handled the delicate situation.
Although the Three Lions star has made it clear he will not sign a new deal this summer, Levy has still not lost out hope that if Kane stays on for next season he may agree an extension down the line.
Earlier this week, Bayern made their interest in Kane known after president Herbert Hainer described him as an “attractive player”.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou breaks silence on billionaire Joe Lewis’ insider trading charges in turbulent pre-season

ANGE POSTECOGLOU insists his Spurs revolution will be unaffected despite supremo Joe Lewis surrendering to US authorities over insider trading charges.Lewis faces 19 charges of securities fraud and conspiracy after appearing in a Manhattan courthouse.

The billionaire, 86, whose family trust owns Spurs, has been accused of a “brazen” scheme which allegedly saw girlfriends, business assistants, personal pilots and friends net millions of pounds between them.
But Spurs boss Postecoglou said: “It doesn’t affect me in terms of what I’m trying to do. No one’s said anything like that to me.
“Tottenham have already said it’s not a club matter.”
Lewis has been charged with 16 counts of securities fraud — the first 13 of which carry a max of 20 years in prison — plus three counts of conspiracy from 2013 to 2021 when he was Tottenham owner.
    Read More on Football
Lewis, a Bahamas tax exile, pleaded not guilty to all charges and was released after posting $300million in bail.
He is due back in court on September 5.
His lawyer David Zornow said: “The government has made an egregious error in judgment in charging Mr Lewis, a man of impeccable integrity and prodigious accomplishment.
“Mr Lewis has come to the US voluntarily to answer the ill-conceived charges. We will defend him vigorously in court.”

Londoner Lewis bought a controlling stake in Spurs from Alan Sugar for £22m in 2001.
But he officially ceded control of the club last year, with Bahamian lawyer Bryan Glinton replacing him as a director, according to Companies House.
Lewis’ stake in the club — which he held through his ENIC group alongside chairman Daniel Levy — was formally handed to a family trust last year, too.
Some of his family members remain beneficiaries of the trust. But Prem chiefs will NOT intervene as Lewis gave up his majority stake in the club in October.

A Tottenham spokesperson said: “This is a legal matter unconnected with the club and, as such, we have no comment.”
However, the scandal could mean Spurs facing a cut-price takeover offer.
City insiders suggest the club is valued in excess of £3.5BILLION.
But, although the club pointed to Lewis’ share disposal nine months ago as proof of his lack of involvement, City insiders believe any would-be buyers from the US or Middle East will now move with low-ball offers nearer the £2.5bn mark.
Tottenham disclosed the share changes to Companies House in October.

New York attorney Damian Williams said: “We allege that for years Joe Lewis abused his access to corporate boardrooms and repeatedly provided inside information to his romantic partners, personal assistants, private pilots and friends.
“Those folks traded on that inside information and made millions of dollars in the stock market.” More

Richarlison showed his goalscoring ability as he netted a hat-trick while Kane and Giovani Lo Celso also netted.
As a result of the victory, it saw Tottenham lift the Tiger Cup trophy but as with most trophy lifts during pre-season, the celebrations were underwhelming.
Only Richarlison and Emerson Royal handled the trophy while Kane was the first player to make his way down the tunnel.
And fans on social media could not help themselves but poke fun at Kane.

While a fifth joked: “Kane is never leaving look at that smile.”
Another added: “Watched it mate, Kane didn’t want to pick up the trophy 😂.”
Kane has been hotly tipped with an exit from Tottenham this summer with Manchester United, PSG and Bayern Munich all in the running for his signature.
However, it is the Bundesliga giants that are favourites to sign him at the moment.
Bayern have already seen two bids rejected for Kane, but remain confident of getting a deal done this summer.
If they fail to get a deal over the line, then Kane may see out the season with Spurs and have his pick of clubs next summer once his contract in North London expires. More

Tottenham 5 Lion City Sailors 1: Richarlison the hat-trick hero as Spurs survive early scare to breeze past minnows

HARRY KANE sparked the turnaround as Spurs survived an early scare to comfortably beat a local understudy team here in Singapore.Spurs were supposed to be playing Jose Mourinho’s Roma in the former British colony to finish off their Asia-Pacific tour.

But after the Italians pulled out due to issues with the promoters, Lion City Sailors replaced them.
And the Singapore side took a shock lead when Shawal Anuar got in front of Pedro Porro and deflected the ball past Guglielmo Vicario on 14 minutes.
Going a goal behind to the equivalent of a non-league side summed up this chaotic trip, which saw Sunday’s friendly against Leicester in Bangkok rained off.
But Ange Postecoglou’s side did eventually make their dominance pay as Kane struck home Spurs’ 24th shot of the first half via the penalty spot after Pape Matar Sarr had been tripped.

It came in stoppage time just before the break – and just after the interval Spurs went ahead.
Richarlison, on for Kane as Postecoglou changed the whole team at half-time, fired home a rebound after Ivan Perisic’s shot was blocked.
The Brazilian then made it 3-1 with his second minutes later after capitalising on a weak defensive clearance by heading past the Sailors’ helpless goalkeeper.
Richarlison famously netted one Premier League goal last term following his £60million switch from Everton but did have a number ruled offside.

The flag went up on him twice more here after finding the net as Spurs looked to punish their hosts for having the temerity to take an early lead.
Three became four on 73 minutes as Manor Solomon’s cutback was deflected into the path of Giovani Lo Celso who could not miss.
Richarlison then added Spurs’ fifth to complete his hat-trick in the 91st minute after being played through by compatriot Emerson Royal.
The Brazilian’s three goals will give both him and Spurs some much needed confidence in the event that he is the man to replace Kane should the Spurs’ talisman leave this summer.
One downer was that Yves Bissouma looked in some discomfort after taking part in warm-down runs at half-time, having played the first 45, and received treatment before gingerly walking off.
Postecoglou sees the Malian as a key player this term so will hope it is nothing serious. More
