Harry Kane ‘offered to Real Madrid’ as Tottenham ‘look to keep star away from Man Utd transfer’

HARRY KANE has reportedly been offered to Real Madrid as Tottenham bid to derail a move to Manchester United. The 29-year-old striker has a little over a year left on his contract and could jump ship this summer.

Man United are among the favourites to claim his signature in their hunt for a striker this summer.
But Mundo Deportivo report that Spurs have actively sought out Real Madrid to avoid selling the star to a domestic rival.
The Spanish outlet claim Real Madrid are seriously considering a proposal as they look for a no.9 to compete with Karim Benzema.
Los Blancos fell away in the La Liga title race and where thrashed by Manchester City in the Champions League during the course of a surprisingly underwhelming season.
Kane has been linked to the club before but has stayed put in North London since emerging from Spurs’ youth academy in 2014.
Despite failing to win any major trophies with the club, Kane has established himself as one of best strikers in the world.
Spurs could also be set to benefit from any potential Kane move to the capital.
The report adds that Eden Hazard could be involved in negotiations to help cheapen the price.

The former Chelsea star once lit up the Premier League but has had a nightmare time of it since completing his dream move to Real Madrid in 2019.
Madrid are believed to be keen to get the injury-prone 32-year-old – who is the club’s highest-earner – off their books.
Man United will likely fight tooth-and-nail to bring Kane to Old Trafford.
The club will go all out trying to find a striker this summer as they look to build on Erik ten Hag’s solid debut season.
If Kane proves to be unattainable, the Red Devils also have their eye on Napoli hotshot Victor Osimhen and Juventus ace Dusan Vlahovic. More

Ryan Mason is now in temporary charge, but it appears Levy has entered an unwanted battle to land the appropriate permanent successor.
Earlier this week, talkSPORT reported that Luis Enrique and Arne Slot were the two frontrunners.
However, since then Slot has removed himself from the running by declaring his commitment to Feyenoord.
And now Tottenham potentially face a further blow.

This comes as Paris Saint-Germain are likely to sack manager Christophe Galtier and enter the race for Luis Enrique.
Despite winning the Ligue 1 title, the Parisians were disastrously knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich, and have failed to reach the French Cup final.
According to MARCA Luis Enrique heads the list to become PSG coach next season and “is the favourite”.
They are reportedly keen to accelerate their hunt for the ex-Spain manager as “they know they are not alone”, with Napoli also interested.

Former Tottenham boss and two-time Champions League winner Jose Mourinho is also among the shortlist of names.
And Zinedine Zidane remains an “unattainable dream for PSG.”
The French World-Cup winner won three consecutive Champions League’s managing Real Madrid.
But if Enrique is PSG’s favourite, where does that leave Tottenham?
Spurs have not exactly acted decisively in their pursuit of a new manager.
The club have dithered between Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique, Luciano Spalletti and Ruben Amorim.
They’ve even allowed rivals Chelsea to bring in Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager.
Slot’s withdrawal from the race to become Spurs boss follows Xabi Alonso and Vincent Kompany ruling themselves out.
With PSG playing in the top European competitions next season, and Spurs competing to secure a place in the Europa Conference League, Daniel Levy now faces fierce competition to secure a new team boss. More

During the large ruckus, one fan was punched to the side of the head – sending him tumbling onto the tracks.
One man could be seen shouting at a rival while holding a can as station staff tried to keep them apart.
As the pair rowed, another man sucker-punched the alleged victim from the side – sending the platform into chaos.

The man climbed back onto the platform, as the two sides pushed and shoved each other.
As they were pushed back along the platform a can of beer was thrown in the air and another man was pushed to the floor.

He added: “We have absolutely zero tolerance for football related violence on the railway network, and treat incidents like this extremely seriously.

Jose Mourinho slams Tottenham as only club he doesn’t have a ‘close bond’ with and fires dig at Daniel Levy

JOSE MOURINHO has put the boot into Tottenham by claiming they are the only club in his career with which he does not have a “close bond”.The Special One was in charge of Spurs from November 2019 until April 2021, when he was sacked one week before the League Cup final.

Mourinho claimed this lack of affection to the North Londoners is partly down to the majority of his time at the club being during Covid shutout to fans.
And also due to chairman Daniel Levy, who took the decision to ruthlessly axe the Portuguese ahead of that final, not “giving him much”.
Mourinho is now in charge of Italian side Roma, where he has got his trophy-winning habit back on track with Europa Conference League success last term and is into the Europa League final this season.
The former Chelsea and Manchester United chief, 60, said: “The only club I’ve coached in my career that I don’t have great feelings for is Tottenham.
    READ MORE ON SPURS
“I hope that I will not be misunderstood by the Tottenham fans, but it is the only club that I do not have a close relationship with.
“Perhaps because during the period that I coached the club the stadium was empty due to COVID and because President Levy did not give me much.”
Mourinho has bossed ten clubs, also including Porto, Inter Milan and Real Madrid, and has won 21 major trophies.
He was the first of three pragmatic managers Levy has hired and fired in the last four years, followed by Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte.

He has impressed hugely with his work north of the border, winning back-to-back league and League Cup doubles by playing expansive, exciting football.
The style of play could be a key factor in any possible switch to Spurs given Daniel Levy promised on Saturday the team would serve up fare next season that fans would “love to come and watch”.
Should Levy turn to the Bhoys chief, he would not be the only Aussie to arrive at Spurs this summer, with Scott Munn beginning his role as chief football officer on July 1.
Postecoglou and Munn have both previously worked for the City Football Group – the umbrella company that owns Manchester City and 11 other clubs worldwide.

Munn was chief executive of Melbourne City before taking over as CEO of the Chinese arm of City Football Group in 2019.
Meanwhile Athens-born Postecoglou bossed City’s Japanese side Yokohama F Marinos for three years before taking over at Celtic in 2021.

Free agent Luis Enrique has also been linked with the vacant position but SunSport believes Spurs are more likely to go for a manager who is currently in a job.
Postecoglou is contracted to Celtic on a one-year rolling deal meaning compensation to hire him should not prove too costly.

It is believed that was one of the hitches in any bid to bring Slot to the club.
The 44-year-old had a release clause of around £5.7million but that did not kick in until NEXT summer, meaning it was up to Spurs to agree a compensation package to take him now.
Dutch sources suggest there was a significant difference in valuation.
And when Feyenoord made it clear they would not budge in talks with Slot’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, on Wednesday, any possible exit was ruled out.
Slot today insisted there had been no conversations about his exit, only over signing a new contract at Feyenoord which he is set to do.
While Spurs sources maintain they have held no discussions with Slot or Feyenoord over any possible move.
Former AZ Alkmaar boss Slot said: “I have been hearing a lot of rumours going around about other interest in me.
“Although I am thankful, my wish is to stay at Feyenoord and continue working on what we created last year.
“There is not – and there has not been – transfer conversation and yesterday’s meeting was exclusively for an extension.

“All talks with the club have always been only in that sense. Looking forward to next season with Feyenoord.”
