Tottenham WILL allow Dele Alli to leave on permanent transfer this January after five-years of service with PSG keen

TOTTENHAM will sanction a permanent January move for Dele Alli after giving the club five years of service, according to reports.
The Telegraph reports Spurs will permit the 24-year-old to leave North London after falling out of favour under Jose Mourinho.

Alli has failed to make a Premier League starting XI since the opening game of the season and Spurs will look to cash in for market value – with French giants Paris Saint-Germain interested.
The report states club chiefs would also consider a six-month loan with the hope Alli’s value could increase with some regular playing time.
And it appears Mourinho wants to keep fellow outcast Harry Winks – restricted to Europa League starts for the last two months – but will let Alli go for the right deal.
Alli failed to make it off the bench despite the former Manchester United and Chelsea boss using all FIVE subs against Antwerp on Thursday.

Winks did start the game but was hooked on the hour mark and looked suitably unimpressed – heading straight down the tunnel.
Alli’s stock has dropped considerably since he played a starring role in England’s run to the 2018 World Cup semi-finals.
A regular under Mauricio Pochettino, Alli has not been seen in a Mourinho Premier League matchday squad since the start of October.
The Portuguese boss has admitted it is ‘impossible’ to keep all his stars happy.

Alli’s meteoric rise after arriving from League One MK Dons in 2015 saw him become a regular for club and country.
But he has scored two goals in only eight appearances this season for Spurs.
PSG were interested in taking Alli to Ligue 1 on a season-long loan in the summer and once again are set to renew their interest in a temporary move in the New Year.

Harry Winks could quit Tottenham for transfer abroad in January to keep his England Euro 2021 dream alive

HARRY WINKS could move abroad for a way out of Tottenham next month to keep his Euro 2021 dreams alive.
England midfielder Winks has found himself out in the cold in Jose Mourinho’s Premier League squad this season – threatening his place in Gareth Southgate’s side next summer.

Harry Winks may be forced to look abroad after falling out of favour at Spurs

That has left the 24-year-old with no choice but to consider a move away from North London – when the transfer window opens in January – in a desperate search for regular games.
A number of Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation, but SunSport understands there are also clubs in Spain and Italy who have now registered an interest.
The style of play in both LaLiga and Serie A would complement Winks perfectly, and would also help his development as a player in a way which would satisfy Three Lions boss Southgate.
And a loan move to the continent may interest Spurs more than a deal with a Premier League club, to avoid the potential of strengthening a rival.

Winks started the first three league games of the season, but since then he has made just one sub appearance in the competition and even found himself out of the matchday squad completely on occasions.
And though he started the Europa League win over Royal Antwerp on Thursday he was hooked just before the hour.
Mourinho accepts he cannot keep everyone happy and has suggested there may be some who would prefer to leave in January if they feel they need more game time.
Winks and Dele Alli are thought to be among those he would be open to leaving, and should Spurs indicate they would be willing to strike a deal then a number of teams will make a move.

Alli is also exploring other avenues and has been linked with PSG after seeing himself fall so far down the pecking order he was not even used as one of the FIVE subs against Antwerp and instead went to fetch a warmer coat.
Despite becoming an outcast under Mourinho, Alli was named as one of FIFPRO’s 55 best players in the world, ahead of the release of their annual world XI.
The former MK Dons star made the cut for the first time despite starting just five games since March in 2020.

Arsenal and Tottenham in transfer battle for Franck Kessie but AC Milan will demand more than £45m for midfielder

ARSENAL and Tottenham are reportedly set to battle it out for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie who could set them back £45million.
Calciomercato reports the North London rivals are both interested in the Ivorian midfielder who has impressed in Serie A.

Kessie’s partnership with Ismael Bennacer in the middle of the park has helped the Rossoneri storm to the top of the Italian league.
The 23-year-old’s current contract runs until June 2022 but Milan are hopeful of securing a renewal with the player said to be happy at the club.
They value him just short of the £50m mark as his stock has rocketed since the start of the season.
The report states a bid in the region of £23million could have been enough to snare him from the San Siro in the summer.

But now after four goals and three assists in just ten league games it will cost the Premier League sides nearly double that amount to bring him to England.
The North London sides believe the player has all the attributes necessary to succeed in the English top flight.
Kessie arrived in Milan in 2017 on loan from Atalanta before the move became permanent for £21.6m in July 2019.
The midfielder has featured in every game since play restarted in Italy amid the coronavirus pandemic, becoming an essential part of Stefano Pioli’s table-topping side.

However, Kessie got off to a tough start at the club, struggling to fit in but denied he was ever going to leave before turning it around.
He told BBC Sport Africa: “I have never even thought of leaving the club and no one here asked me to do so.
“Wearing this shirt, which is like a second skin to me, is a source of pride for me and my family.”
And as Milan chase their first league title since 2011, Kessie is confident they can continue their supreme form as they currently boast a five-point cushion over city rivals Inter Milan at the top.
He added: “We don’t set ourselves any limits.
“We are on the right path and we have to carry on working like this.
“We have great enthusiasm and high spirit. We want to keep it and nourish it even more until the end of the season.”

Eric Dier reveals he was open to quitting Tottenham in shock transfer before Jose Mourinho reinvented him as defender

ERIC DIER revealed he was ready to quit Spurs before Jose Mourinho reinvented him as a defender.
The England ace had lost his way in North London and didn’t feature at all for his country last season.

With his Tottenham deal running down, he seriously considered leaving for pastures new before Portuguese boss Mourinho revamped his role in the side.
Dier told The Daily Mail: “That was definitely on my mind. I didn’t feel like I was achieving what I wanted.
“When your contract starts to come to an end, you question if you’re part of the future.
“I had no desire to be at a club in the last year of my contract. The club knew the summer would see a decision made either way.”

The versatile 26-year-old eventually penned a new deal in July to end thoughts of moving on.
Dier admitted he thought ‘my career was over’ when he was hauled off by Mourinho after just 29 minutes against Olympiacos in the Champions League last season.
The Sporting Lisbon academy product explained: “It really was one of the toughest moments in my professional life.”
Dier had been playing in the middle of the park when he was hooked and realised it was time to reiterate his desire to star in the heart of defence – something he had already told Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate.

He added: “The manager was completely right to take me off. I wasn’t performing. And we won the game.
“But having to take steps back from the commitment I had made to my new position at that time was very difficult for me.
“I had played Pochettino’s last two games at centre-back, so it was difficult to go back to playing in midfield again.
“I explained that to Mourinho. I said to him: ‘This is where I want to play. In defence’. But I knew it was a risk.”
He finally got a chance in February this year after only starting five games since the early subbing in November 2019, a week after Mourinho took over.

Mourinho’s unsuccessful Chelsea homecoming sparked the change Dier had been waiting for.
He said: “After Chelsea he came to me. He just said: ‘Ok if you want to play centre back, now is your chance. Show me’.
“I thrived off that challenge. It was what I had wanted to hear. It was an opportunity.
“My main focus is always to be in a position competing to play. Feeling there’s a plan in place for me is important, too.
“They were the major factors in me deciding to stay here and I couldn’t be happier.”

Chelsea outcast Olivier Giroud ‘wanted by rivals Tottenham and West Ham in January transfer’ with striker eyeing move

TOTTENHAM and West Ham are among the teams reportedly tracking Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.
The French forward scored the late winner in Tuesday’s beating of Rennes as he continues to be used off the bench.

Frank Lampard heaped praise on Giroud, 34, after the victory but speculation continues to mount over his future.
According to CalcioMercato, Spurs and West Ham are joined by Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan and Inter Miami in tracking the striker.
Giroud was tipped to leave Chelsea in the summer but hit form late on last season, earning a new 12-month contract.

Once again, he is reportedly keen on making a January move to ensure his spot in France’s Euro 2020 squad.
Lampard has spoken of his hopes of keeping the player, accepting before the midweek win that he will ‘cross the January bridge when he comes to it’.
After the match, he said: “The things behind the scenes, everybody kind of feels from the outside to be fair what a great professional he is and how highly regarded he is by his team-mates and myself.
“So for him to get a goal, you saw the reaction of his team-mates, he’s so professional in how he trains and looks after himself that age isn’t even a factor for him.

“He’s getting better with age if anything in terms of how he looks after himself.
“So he offers a lot for us and I keep saying it but the big schedule coming up and the way we play means I will rely on players.

“So thankfully for me he’s a player that always keeps the right attitude if he’s not playing regularly, and I know when I call upon him that he comes in as he did today.”
Tottenham signed Gareth Bale and Carlos Vinicius on loan in the summer to provide competition for Harry Kane.
Meanwhile, West Ham welcomed Sebastian Haller back to the scoring charts with a stunning winner at Sheffield United last time out.
And Inter have been linked with Chelsea star N’Golo Kante with former boss Antonio Conte keen to continue his raid on Premier League stars.

Man City ‘eye Harry Kane transfer move with Pep Guardiola wanting Tottenham star to replace Sergio Aguero’

MANCHESTER CITY are lining up a sensational move for Harry Kane, according to reports.
The Independent claims Pep Guardiola named the Spurs star when talking about potential new signings during negotiations for his new deal.

The Spanish boss, 49, agreed a two-year extension at the Etihad last week, citing ‘unfinished business’ at the club.
And after Kane was so influential in Spurs’ 2-0 win over City on Saturday, Guardiola’s interest is only likely to grow.
The report alleges the former Barcelona manager would like City to investigate the possibility of signing Kane.
It claims those close to the 27-year-old believe he may push for a move away from Tottenham if Jose Mourinho’s side fail to win a trophy this season.

But it is understood if Spurs start to pick up silverware he will not be tempted by a move away.
Spurs’ win over the Citizens took them to the summit of the Premier League but they are only above defending champs Liverpool on goal difference.
City are struggling for goals having only mustered ten in their eight league games and their failure to find the net on a regular basis has left them down in 13th place.
Kane could be the perfect answer to their problems, having bagged seven goals and nine assists in just nine Prem games.

Prolific Argentine Sergio Aguero was left as an unused sub at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Guardiola instead threw on Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden.
Guardiola admitted his side miss Aguero leading the line, but said he has concerns about his fitness after struggling with injury.
After the match, he said: “I am not going to say we don’t need Sergio, we need him.
“But Sergio at 32 was five months injured, with a difficult and dangerous injury. He came back, played and got injured again.
“We want him and I want Sergio fit because I discover how important he is for us, with what he has done in Premier League, but we have to be careful to not get him injured again.”
Guardiola pointed to his side’s failure to convert their chances after drawing a blank in North London despite firing off 22 shots.
And Kane may be the ideal long-term replacement for the club’s record goalscorer Aguero.

Harry Kane will NOT leave Tottenham because of his huge transfer fee and age, claims England legend Michael Owen

MICHAEL OWEN cannot see Harry Kane leaving Tottenham – because of his age and how much he would cost.
There have been question marks surrounding whether England captain Kane, 27, would one day quit Spurs if they continue not to win silverware.

But due to his transfer value being north of £100million, and the fact that most clubs who can afford those sums prefer to spend it on younger players, Owen thinks Kane will stay put.
The former Three Lions striker, who himself left Liverpool for Real Madrid in 2004 for just £8m as his contract was running down, told talkSPORT: “Of course he’s capable [of a move].
“But I can’t really see it.
“To buy him, and with all due respect and I’m a huge Harry Kane fan, the economics of it mean we’re talking massive, massive money.

    “Over £100million.
“Would you go and buy Harry Kane for that type of money when he’s in the actual absolute prime of his career?
“Most clubs now are looking to spend £100m on 19, 20, 21-year-olds where you’re going to get longevity and value.
“Don’t get me wrong, there might be teams that are desperate for a striker and just think, ‘Right, sod it, they’re here and now, let’s just go and try and win something’.

“That desperation might come to the fore. But realistically, I would say he’s a Tottenham player for life.”

Kane bagged his 200th Tottenham goal on his 300th appearance for the club in the recent win over Ludogorets.
He followed that up with a late winner at West Brom which saw him move level with Michael Owen in the all-time Premier League scoring charts.
Saturday sees Manchester City travel to North London as Kane looks to continue his fine scoring form.

Arsenal and Chelsea in battle to land Jerome Boateng on free transfer as Bayern ‘refuse to offer him new deal’

ARSENAL and Chelsea are in a battle to sign Jerome Boateng on a free transfer, according to reports.
And London rivals Tottenham may join the chase for the German defender.

According to Sport Bild in Germany, Bayern Munich will refuse to offer Boateng a new deal.
The former Manchester City man, 32, is out of contract at the end of the season.
That means he can enter negotiations with European clubs over a pre-contract agreement to move in the summer.

Boateng came through at Hertha Berlin before three years at Hamburg and then joined Manchester City.
After a season at the Etihad, he returned to his homeland by signing for Bayern in 2011.
The centre-back has 333 appearances, eight Bundesligas, two Champions Leagues and a Club World Cup for the Bavarians.
Boateng and Niklas Sule have battled it out to partner David Alaba – also in the final year of his deal – at the heart of Hans-Dieter Flick’s side so far this term.

But Premier League sides may look to bring the experienced defender back to England next summer despite strong starts defensively to the season.

Caballero and Cech are the oldest players in the Premier League

Chelsea and Arsenal have conceded ten while Spurs have shipped a league-best nine along with Manchester City, Wolves, Aston Villa and leaders Leicester.
Sokratis, David Luiz and Shkodran Mustafi all have their contracts expiring next summer.
So even though Mikel Arteta will have the likes of Gabriel, William Saliba and Pablo Mari at his disposal, the Arsenal boss could benefit from the addition of Boateng.
Chelsea landed veteran Thiago Silva for nothing this summer and are already reaping the benefits with his commanding performances at the back.
Frank Lampard may be tempted by a similar signing if Silva continues to be a success.
At Tottenham, Jose Mourinho saw one experienced defender leave in Jan Vertonghen.
Joe Rodon did come in from Swansea but so far the Special One has generally opted for Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld at the back.
