Harry Kane will leave Tottenham in CASH-ONLY deal with Spurs chief Daniel Levy not interested in player-exchange offers

DANIEL LEVY will demand a cash-only deal for star striker Harry Kane. The Tottenham chairman wants at least £150million for his England captain — if he is prepared to let him leave at all, that is.
Daniel Levy is out to land £150million in cash if he has to sell Harry Kane – and will not accept player-exchange offers for his star manCredit: PA
But he is definitely not interested in ‘cast-offs’ as part of a player-exchange deal for the 27-year-old.
Levy has a reputation for playing hardball in the transfer market.
And having already been left deeply upset by Kane’s bid to get away, Levy will dig his heels in to get what he wants.
SunSport revealed Manchester City are prepared to offer Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus plus £60m to get a deal over the line.
Levy knows his squad needs major reconstruction after last season’s slump left them stranded in the Europa Conference League.
Cash would be king, especially with clubs hit hard by financial losses due to coronavirus.
While Sterling and Jesus may be title winners, accepting City’s deal would give Spurs less cash to bring in their own choice of players.
Levy knows Sterling is on £300,000-a-week at the Etihad — too much for Tottenham.
BETTING SPECIAL – GET ENGLAND TO WIN EURO 2020 AND HARRY KANE TO BE TOP SCORER AT 18/1

He also feels neither player would fancy dropping out of the Champions League and into the third tier of European competition.
Both Manchester clubs and Chelsea have spoken to Kane’s representatives to stake their claim for a man who has scored 221 Spurs goals, along with 34 for England.
Negotiations have not yet begun with Levy, whose stance is still that he wants Kane to see out the last three years of his deal.
But if he is prepared to let Kane go, only money will talk.
He will remember how it all went wrong when he got £86m for Gareth Bale from Real Madrid seven years ago.
It was then a world record fee — and certain of the deal going through before Bale actually left, Spurs went out and bought seven players.
Erik Lamela at £30m, Roberto Soldado for £26m and Christian Eriksen at £11.5m were three of the players who totalled £108m as Levy tried to build a new team.
    The plan backfired spectacularly though.

Boss Andre Villas-Boas was sacked before Christmas and Spurs ultimately finished the season in sixth.
The club debt was again highlighted yesterday by lifelong fan Lord Triesman.
He said: “Spurs have a gross debt last reported in February of £1.177bn, the biggest in Europe, a glorious new stadium and an utterly inconsistent team to play in it.
“The business is essentially now a real-estate developer.”

Man Utd eye shock transfer move for Tottenham outcast Harry Winks with midfielder available for £25m

MANCHESTER UNITED are lining up a shock move for Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks, according to reports. The Spurs outcast started just nine Premier League games for the Lilywhites last season as he found himself out of favour under Jose Mourinho.

And now Man Utd are said to be considering a surprising move for the former England international.
Stretty News are claiming that Tottenham are open to a £25million offer for Winks and that the Red Devils are assessing the option.
However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is notoriously tough to strike a deal with in the transfer market so the North London club may well hold out for a bigger offer.
Winks came through the youth set-up at Spurs having signed for them as a young boy.
But his lack of minutes recently at Tottenham has seen him drop away from the England squad and left him out of consideration for Euro 2020.
Meanwhile, if Man Utd decide against signing the 25-year-old Spurs man, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are also thought to be looking at Jack Grealish – however the Aston Villa man would be a hugely expensive.
United are looking for someone who could potentially replace Paul Pogba if the Frenchman leaves Old Trafford this summer.
Reports last month suggested that could be ex-Red Devil Cristiano Ronaldo in a swap deal with Juventus with Pogba going the other way.

According to reports, both clubs are interested in re-signing their former stars.
United are believed to want some cash for Pogba, however, and Ronaldo’s big wage demands could be a stumbling block.
Ronaldo, 36, won three Premier League titles, two League Cups, the Champions League and the FA Cup during his six-year spell at United.

SunSport revealed last month that Mauricio Pochettino was the first-choice candidate with the Argentine keen on returning to North London.
However Paris Saint-Germain shut down the move and Spurs were forced to look elsewhere.
Enter Conte, out of work after leaving Inter Milan a week ago and quickly linked with Tottenham and Real Madrid.
According to Sky Sports Italia, contact has been made between club and coach with talks already at an advanced stage.
The 51-year-old is fresh from guiding Inter to the Serie A title having won trophies in charge of Chelsea, Juventus and Bari.
Yet he quit the Giuseppe Meazza after being told that the owners wanted to sell £85million worth of players due to a financial crisis.

Achraf Hakimi is already on the way out of Inter with Romelu Lukaku and Milan Skriniar also linked with a move.
Tottenham were named as one team in for the centre-back, who has committed himself to the Scudetto champions having admitted his shock at Conte’s exit.
And a former ally could join him at Spurs with Juventus managing director Fabio Paratici linked to the club.
The 48-year-old was tipped to leave Turin this summer and a formal approach for his services has been made, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Should former midfielder Conte land in the capital, he will face another battle to prevent a star from leaving with Harry Kane agitating for a move.
Manchester City and Chelsea are tipped to bid for the England striker.
With Lukaku also a target for both clubs, Conte the Tottenham boss may find his old side coming to the rescue by selling their star forward so he can keep his own in Kane.

Tottenham winger Steven Bergwijn wanted by Ajax in summer transfer with 23-year-old Dutchman’s future uncertain

TOTTENHAM star Steven Bergwijn is being linked with a move to Dutch champions Ajax. The 23-year-old, who joined the Premier League club from PSV in January 2020, has failed to nail down a starting spot in North London.

According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Ajax are considering a move for Bergwijn.
The Tottenham winger was born in Amsterdam and spent time at Ajax’s academy before making his way to rivals PSV.
Bergwijn won three Eredivisie titles at his former club but has struggled at Spurs, scoring just four Premier League goals in 18 months.
His underwhelming form has seen him dropped from Holland’s squad for Euro 2020 – and that disappointment may persuade the player to move on.
If Tottenham allow Bergwijn to leave, they are unlikely to recuperate all of the £27million they paid for the player in 2020.
Rumours suggest Ajax may start the bidding at £12m, an offer that will probably be rejected by Spurs chief Daniel Levy.
Bergwijn still has FOUR years left on his existing Tottenham deal, although it seems unlikely he will fulfil that contract at this moment in time.
His future may depend on who becomes the new Spurs boss, with reports suggesting ex-manager Mauricio Pochettino is in line to make a sensational return to White Hart Lane.

The Argentine is currently in charge of Paris Saint-Germain but failed in his pursuit of Ligue 1 and the Champions League this season.

Chelsea and Tottenham in Jonas Hofmann transfer fight as 28-year-old continues to star at Borussia Monchengladbach

JONAS HOFMANN could become the latest transfer target fought over between Chelsea and Tottenham. The Premier League clubs are both linked with the Borussia Monchengladbach winger ahead of the summer transfer market opening.

According to German outlet Kicker, the 28-year-old is interesting LaLiga clubs as well as Tottenham and Chelsea.
The Blues were reportedly growing their interest in Hofmann in the spring, with rumours pointing towards a £14million price tag.
Thomas Tuchel coached the player at Borussia Dortmund but sold him to Gladbach midway through the 2015-16 season.
Since then, he has continued to impress in the Bundesliga and has reportedly been scouted several times by Spurs in recent months.
Hofmann has bagged eight goals and 13 assists this season despite Borussia’s inconsistent form.
Despite making it out of a tough Champions League group, knocking out Inter Milan in the process, the side finished eighth in the domestic table to miss out on European qualification.
Therefore a sale is said to be on the cards with the English duo tipped to outbid any Spanish rivals for his signature.
Hofmann’s contract runs to 2023 with no release clause to fall back on.

Earlier this year, the German insisted any interest in his services was a compliment to his form.
He told Ruhr Nachrichten in March: “I think it’s clear that other clubs will notice you if you perform well. Therefore, it is possible that one or the other has already asked.”
Chelsea and Spurs have gone head to head for a number of transfer targets in the past, most notably over Brazilian winger Willian, who even underwent a medical in North London before signing for the Blues.

PSG determined to hold on to Mauricio Pochettino despite Tottenham being ‘in talks over emotional reunion’

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are going to fight hard to keep Mauricio Pochettino amid Tottenham’s bid to re-sign their former manager. That is according to The Independent, who claim that PSG’s stance could block an emotional reunion between Pochettino and the north Londoners.

The Argentine turned Spurs into a top side during his five-year stint at the helm.
After his arrival from Southampton in 2014 he made them top four contenders and led them to the 2019 Champions League Final.
However, the 49-year-old was sacked just a few months after the final defeat to Liverpool due to a poor run of results before joining PSG last January.
The former Espanyol manager was replaced at Tottenham by Jose Mourinho, who was also sacked in April.
SunSport exclusively revealed Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is now considering bringing Pochettino back and talks are reportedly ongoing.

However, PSG want to hold on to their manager even though he lost the Ligue 1 title to shock winners Lille.
The Parisians still believe in Pochettino, who won the French Cup in his maiden season, and don’t want to offload another top coach after Thomas Tuchel.
But the Argentine has reportedly found coaching at PSG “more of a headache than expected”.

The talented boss and his staff felt at home in London but have yet to settle in Paris with most of their time spent in hotels.
Pochettino is also concerned with the power structure at the club as he feels it doesn’t allow him much influence.

The club shared the following announcement on Twitter: “The club can confirm the departures of Danny Rose and Paulo Gazzaniga following the conclusion of their contracts.
“We thank Danny and Paulo for their service and wish them well for the future.”
Rose returned to north London last year following a short loan stint at Newcastle where he only managed 13 appearances for Steve Bruce’s side.
Former Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho then omitted the left-back from the season’s Premier League and Europa League squads, meaning he didn’t play at all for the senior team.
The 30-year-old joined Spurs in 2007 from Leeds and went through various different loan stints at Watford, Peterborough United, Bristol City and Sunderland.

The ex-England international found his groove in 2013 when he established himself in Spurs’ starting line-up.
Rose went on to amass a total of 10 goals and 29 assists in 214 appearances across all competitions.
However, the defender grew frustrated with a lack of playing time upon Mourinho’s arrival in 2019 and expressed his concerns to the Portuguese manager, as shown in Amazon’s recent All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur documentary.

That led to his temporary move to St James’ Park before his omission from the incoming Roma boss, who has since been replaced by Rose’s former team-mate Ryan Mason on an interim basis.
Gazzaniga joined Tottenham from Southampton in 2017 as a reserve keeper to Hugo Lloris.
The Argentina international only managed 37 appearances, picking up 10 clean sheets in the process.
