The Ivorian defender’s next step remains to be seen but an incredible switch to his old team’s bitter rivals is said to be of interest.
Sky Sports claim the right-back has informed Arsenal of his interest as he looks to find a new club in England.
Mikel Arteta is nonetheless already well-stocked for the position having signed Takehiro Tomiyasu on deadline day.
The £20million Japan international will compete with Calum Chambers, Cedric Soares and Ainsley Maitland-Niles for a spot in the team.
Hector Bellerin left for Real Betis on loan having also been put up for sale by his club.
Aurier was speculatively linked with Real Madrid and AC Milan early in the summer window, after speaking publicly of his hope to move.

Despite being unable to flog the full-back, Tottenham pushed ahead with the £26m capture of Emerson Royal from Barcelona.
In total, Aurier played 110 matches for Spurs, including last season’s Carabao Cup final defeat by Manchester City, and still had a year to run on his contract.
The 28-year-old said on leaving: “I have really enjoyed my time at Spurs and would like to thank the club and the fans, but I feel now is the right time for me to move onto a new challenge.”

Harry Kane’s decision to stay at Spurs shocked me and I would never have knocked him for sealing transfer to Man City

I WAS surprised by Harry Kane’s announcement he was staying at Tottenham.I thought the way it was being handled at the start suggested he was going to go.
Troy Deeney writes exclusively for Sun SportCredit: The Sun
Harry Kane scored twice on his return to Tottenham’s starting XI after being denied a move to Man CityCredit: Getty
What that says to me is that valuations weren’t met and Kane wasn’t prepared to ruin his legacy to force a move, which is the right thing to do.
He hasn’t ruined any legacy by what he has done. The only way he would have done that is if he had ‘tried’ to move and then it didn’t materialise.
There has also been a lot of talk about Kane’s PR team and how they have gone about and handled this move — but they did nothing wrong in my eyes.
I just don’t really think it’s needed at times. A little bit of honesty is needed.
If Kane came out and said, ‘Look, I fancied Manchester City because I haven’t won anything yet in my career and I am 28’ — but then also said, ‘I am a Spurs player. I have not indicated at a move but if they could have agreed something I would have left’. I don’t think anyone can argue with that.
Yet people would still argue, of course, because that’s just the world we live in.

If Kane gave £1million to charity, there would be people asking ‘Well why didn’t he give £2m?’.
If he wanted to move to City, which we can all agree he did, then fair props to him.
They play the best football and pay the best money. Why would you not want to go there?
But he is a Tottenham legend, even if he stopped playing today. He will always go down as a  legend.
What we can all agree on is that a move to City would have been a step forward.
That’s no disrespect to Spurs. That’s just a fact of the matter of where they currently find themselves.
City are challenging for titles and Champions Leagues, and after the Euros that Kane had, he will have wanted to feel that buzz on a more regular basis.
Now, I think he is in a situation where his legacy will only increase at Spurs because his goal record is a joke.
You have to sit there and appreciate that.
People who score goals transform teams — that’s why City wanted him.

He would have transformed City from a title contender to outright favourites.
Kane got straight back down to business on Thursday with two goals in Spurs’ 3-1 aggregate win over Pacos de Ferreira in their Europa Conference League play-off.
And now I think he will start against my team Watford — and it will be a tough one for us.
He is so driven on scoring goals and he will want to return to winning ways, put that to bed as quickly as possible and get back to Premier League business.
The main thing is you know in the back of your mind he only needs one chance.
We know we will give away a few opportunities and we will be thinking ‘I hope he has an off day’.
He could have one shot and one goal — and we could lose 1-0.
Those elite players, that’s what they offer. Another of those is Dele Alli. I look at him as a player that achieved so much at a young age and then has had to rediscover himself as a man.
What more does he need to achieve? He may have never thought he would play for a top club or play for England. His aspiration may have just been to play for MK Dons.
He may have reached the pinnacle with the mentality he had at that time and just like we saw with Jesse Lingard, we never know what is going on in someone’s private life.
Dele Alli looks in superb shape for Tottenham this seasonCredit: Getty
So, when he lost it a little bit he may have thought, ‘I have got a lot more to prove’ and that may have reinvigorated that hunger.
When I look at him now — and I watched Spurs’ win against Wolves — he looks unbelievably fit.
I have never thought he was unfit before but he looks really lean now.
He looked like he had high energy and I liked the confidence of winning the penalty and then saying, ‘I’m taking it’.
There was a time when he was playing poorly — he will be the first to admit that — but I like the comeback stories.
If Dele continues to play like he has been playing, then he will be back in the England team.
The last week of the window is also here and it is always a strange time to be a footballer.
It has been a slow window. It didn’t boom at the start with everyone moving and reacting.
But I think this week could be really busy and get back to the late-night specials when we are all sitting, watching and listening until 11pm.
It is an exciting time as a fan. You don’t want to get to the last day of the window and be bored, you want to see people move.

Tottenham to offer Harry Kane massive £100k a week pay-rise after denying wantaway striker Man City transfer

TOTTENHAM are ready to offer Harry Kane a £100,000-a-week pay rise in a bid to keep him out of Manchester City’s clutches. The England captain yesterday revealed he will NOT be leaving Spurs this summer after failing to engineer a move to the Etihad.

Now Cristiano Ronaldo’s camp are stepping up their efforts to get the Portuguese superstar a switch to City this week.
Kane, 28, said: “I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100 per cent focused on helping the team achieve success.”
Spurs fear Kane — who has three years left on his £230,000-a-week contract — could try to force through a switch in January or at the end of the season.
So they are preparing to offer him £330,000-a -week to try to keep him at the club until 2027, just before he turns 34.
But club chiefs know even that may not prevent him from leaving in his quest for honours.
Kane was hoping to leave in this window but after months of speculation linking him with City, made his first Spurs appearance as a sub in their 1-0 win at Wolves on Sunday.

He added: “It was incredible to see the reception from Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I’ve had in the last few weeks.”
Boss Nuno Espirito Santo said: “It’s great news, fantastic for everybody. We are all very happy. He’s one of the best players in the world. We are all delighted to have more options.
“It says we are able to keep one of the best players in the world — this is important.
“All the players have to show this belief that together we can make good things.”

Kane is set to start for Spurs tonight in the second leg of their Europa Conference League play-off at home to Pacos de Ferreira.
And Nuno is unfazed by the prospect of the transfer saga returning.
He said: “I am not worried at all. It’s day by day, he’s an option for tomorrow. It’s the only thing, my only thought.
“Since Harry rejoined us in training he has been working and his attitude has been great. This is what we value.
“It’s an amazing club, we have a good team, we are in a process and we need everybody involved.”
As City saw their hopes dashed, former Manchester United idol Ronaldo, 36, continued trying to engineer a move out of Italians Juventus.
City have been cool on signing him since reports surfaced earlier this month and that remains the case.
But boss Pep Guardiola is now facing up to a season without replacing Sergio Aguero.
So it will be up to Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes to put forward a proposal which would tempt Etihad chiefs.

City made no secret of their wish to land Kane and were convinced he wanted to come.
But there was no way they were going to pay £150million for him.
With Spurs chairman Daniel Levy unwilling to negotiate, it was clear they could not hit a figure that suited both clubs.

Spurs boss Nuno coy on Harry Kane transfer future and admits wantaway striker may NOT play vs Pacos de Ferreira

NUNO ESPIRITO SANTO hailed Harry Kane’s return to action – but still could not guarantee he would play on Thursday. Kane came on as a 72nd-minute substitute and travelling supporters sang, ‘He’s one of our own’ as the star went over to applaud them at the final whistle.

Their mood was lifted by Dele Alli’s early penalty winner at Molineux.
But asked if Kane would be back in Thursday’s Europa Conference League play-off second leg against Pacos de Ferreira – with Spurs 1-0 down – Nuno was coy.
He said: “I can’t answer that. It’s too soon. Now we are going to recover and we assess the next morning, like always.
“He did well, he helped the team.
“He is still in the process of improving his fitness but he is one of the best in the world.”
The England captain remains convinced he had a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ with Spurs chief Daniel Levy that he could leave this summer.
But the club is deadlocked with Manchester City over Kane’s potential £160million move.
And Nuno was delighted with the warm reception the homegrown hero got from fans on his first appearance of the season.
The Portuguese boss added: “I was pleased with the attitude of the fans.
“We have to be together. We have amazing fans and have to be thankful for that.
“He (Kane) is better today and he’ll be better tomorrow. He can still improve, we cannot put a bar on that.”
New Wolves boss Bruno Lage is confident his side are on the right track, despite a poor start to the season that has seen them lose two from two so far.

“I think we did well, the game stays in our hands for 90 minutes, they have two chances, two transitions, they have the penalty,” he said.
“We have 25 attempts to (try to) score one goal, In two games, we had 42 attempts and didn’t score one goal. I’m unhappy with the result but I believe in working hard… what we’re doing now gives me confidence.
“It’s not a question about little things, it’s just about scoring goals.”

Tottenham ‘reject £20m plus Corentin Tolisso player-swap transfer deal for Tanguy Ndombele from Bayern Munich’

TOTTENHAM have rejected a £20million offer plus Corentin Tolisso from Bayern Munich for Tanguy Ndombele, reports say. Ndombele is believed to have asked Spurs to let him leave after so far being shunned by new manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

And according to Sky Sports News, German champions Bayern have offered Tolisso plus an extra £20m for the want-away midfielder.
But, it is claimed Tottenham turned the deal down.
Ndombele, 24, will not feature in Spurs’ trip to Wolves on Sunday.
Despite being fit to play and taking part in first-team training, he also missed the games against Manchester City and Pacos de Ferreira.
Nuno said on Friday: “[Ndombele] was not part of the squad in the Conference League because he was not included in the list.
“But I will be honest with you, Tanguy will not be involved on Sunday.”
Ndombele, Spurs a club-record £55m from Lyon in 2019, but suffered rocky start to his career under Jose Mourinho.
But his form picked up last season, making 46 appearances, where he also managed six goals.
The Frenchman continued to play even when Mourinho was sacked and replaced by interim manager Ryan Mason.
But since Nuno took over full-time from Wolves, Ndombele has not been featured.

The new Spurs boss said: “What happened in the past I can’t even think about, I don’t mention out of respect.
“What I can tell you is that Tanguy is with us, he works but we have to speak honestly and to take the best out of Tanguy [it] has to come from himself.
“I don’t want to go much further than that but it has to come from himself. We already had a chance to talk but it must come from himself.
“I said it before, my job here is not to convince players to play for Tottenham Hotspur, it is to prepare players to play for Tottenham Hotspur.”
